I am rejecting this response because a Safelite technician damaged my vehicle and management refuses to assume responsibilityThe technician did not state in his pre inspection report any damages to the roof of the exterior of my vehicle because there no damages to it beforehandAs reflected in the attached picture, which was taken immediately after the technician installed the window, my vehicle was not dirty and it is never kept in a dirty stateManagement's decision is based solely on two pictures taken by another technician and his opinion about one of the six areas of paint removed by their technicianNo paint professional has officially given an expert opinion about the condition of my paint job, before Safelight made their decision

Dear Ms***,I’m so sorry that you had issues with loose moldings and then a new crack in the windshield of your Ford FocusI would also like to clarify our warranty and our policy about new damage to a windshieldSafelite’s National Lifetime warranty covers defects in the materials and the workmanship for as long as you own the vehicleNew damage is specifically excluded by the warrantyWhen you asked if something struck the windshield just after it was replaced would you be charged for the replacement, the short answer based on written policy is yesThe longer answer is that as a courtesy, a manager may offer a discounted price on the replacement or in very rare situations agree to replace it at no costI do see that we replaced your windshield for you at a discounted price per the attached invoiceI apologize that the response you initially received about new damage to a windshield seemed to indicate that Safelite managers don’t all follow policy and that some customers may be treated differently than othersThe fact is we are a customer-focused company and we strive to balance what is best for the customer and the businessAt Safelite, policy is our foundation and our guide, but we do have some flexibility when it will help a customer or help us to keep a customerI hope that your most recent windshield replacement went wellIf you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at ###-###-####

I’m very sorry about the discrepancy in the part needed for your Ram PickupIn reviewing our records we do show that you were quoted for a stationary piece of glass and not the power slider that is neededWhen a member of the quality team reviewed the call, it was determined that the information you provided indicated that the glass was stationary ? On June 30th and July 6th we do have record of you requesting permission to hear the recorded callThat request was submitted to our Sales department and we are awaiting a responseIt can take 7-business days to receive a responseI do apologize for the inconvenience this is causing ? Once we have the discrepancy resolved, if you want Safelite to replace the power slider for you, we will be happy to do soBecause of the complexity of this installation, it must be done in a Safelite shopWe are not able to provide this service on a mobile basisThe replacement requires multiple technicians, can take most of the day to do and requires removing rear seats to access the wiring for the power sliderWhen Safelite does the installation, we do clean up as much broken glass as we can and we clean the exterior glass on your truckA car wash is not included in our service ? While I appreciate the refund for the incredibly poor experience with Safelite, it is not my agreed upon solutionIn addition to my previously recorded complaints? someone from Safelite did call todayThey? directly dialed my voice mailbox, presumably? to avoid speaking with me to hash out this issueThey did not acknowledge a single complaint or apologize and? only mentioned scheduling another service? (THE 5TH APPOINTMENT)!? This is entirely unprofessional after I've contacted Safelite so many times without a single acknowledgmentAs previously stated, after the blatant disrespect of my time I do not trust Safelite to work on my vehicle anymoreIn addition to the $refund for services rendered I? would also like a? credit for the cost of a rain sensor so I can be sure the work is completed adequately and up to my standardsI will agree? pay for? my mechanic's? labor myself using the $previously refundedI think this is more than a reasonable compromise after this situation has been handled so poorly by Safelite?

I am rejecting this response because: the driver side curtain air bag has been rendered inoperable due to the water leak? After the Safelite technician assured me that he stopped the leak on Tuesday 3-29-? After the technician left, I note water still leaking and I quickly realized that he was not telling the truth and that his attempts were unsuccessful? I noticed the technician tampering with the curtain air bag censor on the video surveillance monitor and now his tampering has apparently triggered my check engine light to turn onI don't appreciate being told by the Safelite technicians that "Thing Happen" without offering an apology, The people of Safelite have disrespected me and my property and now I have to take time off work without pay to get my vehicle restored to the pre-windshield installation condition? ? My problem isn't with your technician who came at the appointed window frame of - ? My problem is you people said to me that you will call me to narrow down a time within that window when he or she would show up? YOU DID NOT.Your customer service sucks!You also told me that you would send someone to my location to fix my window wiper fluid jets THAT YOU BOTCHED, but you "would call me back on Thursday to narrow down a time frame that is already set for am - noon on Sep (Saturday)YOU DID NOT CALL? I have been calling all week to get a narrowed timeframe and you want me to drive my car to your shop so you can fix the mistake YOU made to my car? ? Are you going to refund me my $mobile charge I already paid for the convenience of you coming to my location? ? When you refund me my mobile charge, I will bring my car to your shop for you to fix the mistake YOU MADE TO MY CAR? And you have the AUDACITY to imply that I am the one with the issue? Dear Mr***, I’m very sorry about the issues regarding scheduling the windshield replacement for your Acura RDXIn reviewing the file, it appears that your insurance company originally approved a windshield repair not a full replacementThere is also an indication that your vehicle needed body work done prior to the windshield replacementIn addition, you requested OEM or dealer glass which requires approval from your insurance providerThere was an appointment scheduled for June 22nd but that was deleted because the OEM request needed to be requested from your insurance provider by you prior to ordering the dealer glassYou should have been contacted prior to June 22nd and I truly apologize that didn’t happenThere is no good reason or explanation for the lack of communication I do show that we were able to schedule installation of aftermarket glass for June 30, I hope that everything went well with the installation and you are satisfied with the workYou do have a National Lifetime warranty for as long as you own or lease the vehicleThe warranty covers defects in the materials and our workmanshipIt would not cover damage caused by something hitting the windshield Again, I apologize for the inconvenience you experiencedSafelite does appreciate your businessIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at [redacted]

Dear Ms***, I’m very sorry that our attempt to repair the windshield damage on your Lexus HS wasn’t successfulWhile we do have a very high success rate with our repairs, there is no way to determine with any degree of certainty how the already damaged glass will react to the repair processI have attached a copy of our warranty, which includes our money back guarantee for repairsIf a repair is unsuccessful or just not satisfactory, Safelite will refund the cost of the repair to the paying partyThe replacement windshield would then be subject to any deductible on your auto policy There are several factors that play a role in completing a successful repairThese include but are not limited to: • The age of the damage • The size and location of the damage • Glass is an unpredictable and sensitive material Again, I apologize that the attempt to repair your windshield wasn’t successfulWhile Safelite does understand your frustration, we are not responsible for the already damaged windshield ultimately requiring replacementWe would not be willing to pay any part of the cost of a windshield replacement done by any other glass providerIf you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Executive Service team at ###-###-####
