After research, we’ve verified that per the transaction
receipts the correct amount was refunded to Ms. [redacted]. On 10/15/14 two items
were purchased at our Parkway Place location, one item for $24.36 and the other
for $40.58. On 10/17/14 the item purchased for $40.58 was returned to our Madison
Square location for a total of $44.23 including tax.
When AE runs a BOGO promotion, two items must be purchased
to receive the discount. The savings are split evenly between both items. The “return
price” listed on the receipt indicates the value of each item after the
discount is applied. This practice allows savings for our customers while
safeguarding AEO from illegitimate returns. Please find validating info

To earn free jeans through our AEO Connected program, you must purchase five qualifying styles (clearance is excluded) to earn the free jean credit. We do have a lot of seasonal associates, so the person you spoke with may have been confused about your inquiry. Hello, When fulfilling orders, we utilize inventory from both of our warehouses and all stores in the U.S. At the time your order was placed all selected items were available. Unfortunately there are external factors that may affect the order fulfillment process. For example, our system may show a store has the product, but the product may be sold to a customer in the store before the order is received and worked by that particular store. If that happens, the order is cancelled by that store and goes back into the system for sourcing to the next store. The order fulfillment system will continue to source the order to various stores until a store is located that has the product, but the maximum times it may be sourced is five. If the product is not found at that point, it is cancelled from the order. Again, I’m very sorry for your experience regarding this order.

My complaint was not only about AEO having trouble with Paypal but also that they are selling items on their website that they don't in fact have available. After learning that they didn't process my first order... I called in and the items I had ordered were no longer available. During that time my order was still in process. Why would they sell the items that I had purchased if my order was still "in process" with paypal. As well the second time I called and ordered different items since they sold the items I originally wanted... they again didn't send my complete order saying that items I had ordered were no longer available. Why do they have items on their website and allow people to purchase them if they are not available???

When the business has sent the Revdex.com a message regarding this complaint, it is not quite understand the essence of the problem. It consisted that the second compensation (for the shipping costs), which was issued on 9/18/14 and settled on 9/26/14, was supposed to be for an amount equivalent of $61 instead in the amount of 61 Russian Rubles. But I received a message from AEO that to my credit card was transferred the remaining amount for the shipping costs. So I think the problem solved.
