January 30, 2017Dear [redacted] ***:Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P, (“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to respond to [redacted] ’s complaint, filed on behalf of [redacted] ***, regarding a refund for unused propaneAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of their complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings[redacted] received a delivery of gallons on January 19, as she was on auto delivery at that timeTo address [redacted] ***’ concern regarding refund for unused propane, one is not due since the tank was empty at time she terminated her accountThis is was verified as our records show the first delivery for the new home owner was four days after the sale of [redacted] ***’ homeAt that time, the tank was filled to 80%This was a gallon tank and received approximately gallons, meaning the tank was empty prior to being filledThis usage would have been a result of the home being occupied between the January delivery and the sale of the home in October 2016.AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter resolvedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact the customer advocacy department at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Tracie R [redacted] Customer Advocacy Specialist? ? In April of I asked to discontinue my service and requested that the propane tank be picked upAt this point the tank was emptyThe tank was then filled, as we were on the "Automatic Fill Program" we paid for the fuel that was deliveredWe were told that they were very busy and that they would pick up the tank over the summer when the business was slowerMeanwhile they continued to bill us for tank rental every month at $per mothI stopped in at the Dennison, Ohio office in September and said the tank wasn't picked up as described and that we been getting billed for "Tank Rental"They said that the tank would be picked up and the billing would be creditedI stopped in at the Dennison, Ohio office in November and said the tank wasn't picked up yet and we are still getting billed for "Tank Rental" monthly now with late charges addedI was told not to worry about the billing and the tank would be picked up with in daysJanuary 25, We received a notice from their collection agencyThat our service was being terminated and we owed for all the tank rental chargesThe tank has still not been picked upStopped in the Dennison, Ohio office again today 1/26/Was told they would pick it up todayToday we have 45° temperature and had rain overnight with melting snowI said driving a truck across my yard today will cause damage to the yard because it is softI was basically told that was my problemI doubt we will be reimbursed for the gallons of fuel that is in the tank (as we were initially told in April)We will see if we ever get a checkI don't expect we will plus we will have to fix the yard in the springThey had the last months to pick up this tank and now it has to be today

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The information provided is incorrectAgain, I have a surveillance video that can show employees accessing my backyard after knocking on my front door during all these months, except in MarchI had given Amerigas the access code to be written on file, yet they continuously ask me for my passcode every time an employee shows up? This just proves the point I made in my earlier responseAmerigas conducts it's business in a cunning way and I question their business and social ethics.? It's a great advantage for me to switch to another energy provider.? For example, real estate properties in my area enjoy higher resale value when their energy source does NOT depend on Amerigas propaneThat's a fact that's been proven all over the news and the city officialsI obviously can see the reasons behind the way Amerigas business ethics and reputation devalue the resale value of housesI refuse to be a victim of this monopoly.? Total rip off make you agree to a contract that say's they can do what ever they want I had a gal tank for a long time they all ways seemed to charge me moreI became disabled the minfill on the large tank was $they said because the tank was so largeIt took years but I finally got them to bring out a smaller tankNow I called to refill the gal tank guess what $min fill Why because it is a smaller tank Now I checked here: https://fuelwonk.com/vendor/eia-wisconsin-propane/36805/today it is $ and I called Amerigas South Beaver Dam Wiand today it is $a galMore than a full dollar over the market pricetalked to a few friends that live close and the get it from FS and pay close to the market priceOnce you have a tank from Amerigas you are screwed DO NOT GET A TANK FROM AMREIGAS

Despite our auto-delivery contract, amerigas did not deliver for a full month, in the middle of winterWhen this resulted in us running out of fuel (no heat, no way to cook) right in the teeth of the winter's worst storm, amerigas refused any kind of emergency delivery, or, in fact, to do ANYTHING for us at all until monday morning, periodA family of four with young kids was left to freeze and go hungry for well over hoursWe will be filing a lawsuit as soon as the courthouse opensPlease do not give this company your business

Heritage propane starting charging me delivery charges without notice and agreement from me (real reason was trying to force all customers to auto fill up) so I told them to come get their tankAfter they remove their tank I was hit with all the un-agreed upon charges like pump out charge $per gallon, charge to come get their tank $and was reimburse $less per gallon that I paid for the gas in the tank a few months ago
