Run, don’t walk away from Amerigas, Oxnard We are switching companies because after being loyal customers for years, the new management of Amerigas is completely the worst experience everWe have been waiting for three days now for gallons of gas to be dispensed into our tankWe are in the 0% of gas left in our tank, heading into Mother’s Day weekend, with guests arriving tomorrowThe offices promised we would have the gas Thursday May 10th, then promised to have the gas Friday, May 11th at 9:00amIt is is Saturday 8:30pm and still no gas and offices closedWe did call at 2:00pm yesterday and were promised, yet again, that we would have gas by this eveningWe are stilled owed money that Amerigas deducted without our permission from our bank account for a gas leak that took drivers, and an Amerigas faulty regulator to detectAlso, we went days without hot water because they finally detected a leak but informed us it was our main line to the houseOur plumber detected Amerigas’s mistakeMy thoughts are we are lucky our house with pets and children did not blow up because of their incompetenceWhy they charged and deducted funds, which have not been paid back is beyond usThis company is a sinking ship, the worst I have ever experience, everAnd so far to date, we have run out of gas on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day and now possibly Mother’s DayWe are on automatic fill, so figure that outIf this is a company in 10years I will be surprised, a very unsatisfied, soon to be ex customer Mr Stephen Moody DONT SIGN UP TO AMERIGAS

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and although I still take issue with the high amount that AmeriGas charges for its meter reading, especially considering that it is charging the fee to multiple individuals even though we all share only one tank, I will currently accept this resolution For the record, I only received one voicemail from AmeriGas, although they comment in their letter that they have contacted me multiple timesPerhaps the problem is that they are misspelling my name as ***, rather than using the correct spelling of ***, which is clearly indicated on my correspondence with them and on my accountTo me, misspelling a customer's name in a formal letter is also an indication of problems with customer service Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Amerigas regularly sent me unexpected (and often just plain wrong) bills Billed me multiple time for not using a minimum amount of propane in a year But I checked my records and had used over the minimum Billed me for running out of propanebut I was on automatic deliveryUmmthat's your fault guys Finally switched companies due to the high prices and bad serviceand they billed me another $as I went out the door for picking up the tanks Even though I checked when I was going to switch and they said there were no end of service charges Well maybe not technically

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because it does not address my issue as to why the gallons of propane vary so tremendously from month-to-monthSince my initial complaint, I've received a bill for over $500! I live in a raised rancher! When I lived in a four-bedroom, two car garage home a few miles away, my heating bill was not this extreme and, the electric and heating was on the same bill! MsF [redacted] did contact me via telephone however, the connection was so bad that I could barely understand anything she said, then she hung up on me and did not attempt to call back! She mailed me a list of all of my payments and stated something about my bills being the same for the last three years! I've only lived here a little over months! Mailing me a list of what I was billed and my payment history does not address the issueI already had that information! Further, she never offered to meet with me in person! Again, if the tanks are filled each month, at the same starting point, how can one month it takes gallons to fill up and another month it takes gallons to fill up? I understand that propane expands, but that is the reason why the tanks are filled only to 80% as opposed to 100% Regards, [redacted]

February 20, Dear [redacted] ***: Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P (“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to respond to [redacted] ’s complaint regarding her propane deliveriesAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of [redacted] ’s complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findings [redacted] is correct when we make a delivery to her house it doesn’t always mean that we are going to fill her tank completely [redacted] is a pay in advance customer which means she pays for her propane prior to us making the deliveryAt the time of an order there is no way of telling the exact amount of propane [redacted] ’s tank will hold so we only deliver as much as she has paid forOn occasion, [redacted] may even pay for more gallons then her tank will hold, which is why she sees a credit on her accountThe $ [redacted] is currently disputing is from January 3, when she called regarding a possible leakOur service technician performed the test and did not find any issuesUnfortunately, the technician then proceeded to fill her tank with more gallons of propane which should not have happened due to her account being set up as payment in advanceTherefore, AmeriGas District Manger Beth K [redacted] has credited her account for the $that was delivered without her prepaying forMoving forward [redacted] will still need to pay in advance prior to any orders being delivered. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to [redacted] and trust this response addresses her concernsIn light of the foregoing, AmeriGas reasonably believes this matter to be resolvedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact meSincerely, Michele O Customer Advocate

Good Morning, We are unable to respond to this complaint based on the information providedWe are unable to find an account with ** [redacted] 's name on itThe address provided on the complaint does appear in our system, but the account has been closed for over a year and does not match our AmeriGas location ** [redacted] provided an address for** [redacted] will need to provide his account number to help us research this matter Thanks, Haven D***

April 30, Dear [redacted] :Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the abovereferenced consumer complaint. In his complaint, [redacted] complains about the price per gallon charged and the service termination processOur staff at our [redacted] office has worked with [redacted] to ensure that the termination process was completed to his satisfaction and as will be explained below, he has given us every indication that he is satisfied with the ultimate resolution that was reached. Before providing the specifics of our response regarding [redacted] , AmeriGas would like to provide some background information on the recent extreme supply and demand conditions throughout the country and in Pennsylvania, since we are aware of the increase in customer inquiries/complaints this winter. In terms of propane pricing for this past winter, the supply of propane tightened during the course of this winter, while demand remained high in the midst of unprecedented cold temperatures throughout much of the countryAnd not surprisingly, as has been well-documented by various media reports, this perfect storm of increased demand and decreased supply led to the cost of propane soaringAmeriGas has been very mindful and sensitive to the burden these increased prices have placed on its customers ability to afford to heat their homes this winter, and we did everything within our power to mitigate the effects of the higher wholesale product costs that we saw in the marketplace, while also still being able to secure enough supply to keep servicing our customersAs an initial matter, AmeriGas purchases the propane it sells from a wide variety of sources, but principally from large producers and midstream companies who produce it and then sell it on the wholesale marketAs a propane retailer, AmeriGas acts as a critical link between the producer and the end userHowever, we do not manufacture or produce any propane whatsoeverInstead, we buy on the open market 100% of the propane we distribute and are, in essence, at the mercy of the market when it comes to the price we pay for the product we sellDuring this past winter, AmeriGas expended a tremendous amount of time, energy and money repositioning our assets to supply propane where it is most neededWe utilized an Airborne division that moved drivers into locations where extra personnel were neededThat consisted of volunteers, across districts in states, totaling over man daysWe extended deliveries to seven days a week in some places in order to keep our customers in gasWe added to the team in our call center in an effort to respond more quickly to every customer who calls with a question or complaintWe made the difficult decision to exercise our rights in the agreements we have with certain wholesale customers to allocate that product to our residential and commercial accountsWe purchased highcost spot” propane that was located off shore on ships, or ones that were export-bound, in an effort to maintain sufficient supplyWe strategically deployed mobile transflow units to offload product directly from rail cars to certain district locations that lack rail serviceWe extended our Saturday hours in many districts to accommodate our customersAll of these efforts, as well as others, came at a financial cost to AmeriGasPropane is fungible, but our ability to deliver reliability of supply, to provide extensive safety training to our employees, and to have the willingness to move assets substantial distances to better adjust to supply disruptions, in our view, sets us apart from others in the industryTo our knowledge, no other propane company went to the lengths we did with our trucks, railcars and personnel in an attempt to provide better service to our customers[redacted] has not acknowledged or accounted for the unprecedented supply and demand difficulties set forth aboveFurther, his complaint does not take any of AmeriGas’ extraordinary measures into account in alleging price gouging.” Such measures necessarily result in some increases in costs and, therefore, increased prices for propaneBut increases in the price of propane are not, per se, evidence of price gouging, as the [redacted] would have you believe. As a practical matter, there is no way to do a reasoned analysis of the per gallon price that [redacted] was charged on the date of delivery by AmeriGas to the average prices reported by the EIAThis is so particularly in the marketplace at the time of the delivery, in which supply availability and wholesale pricing was extremely volatile to an unprecedented degree (often changing multiple times in a single day)This is not determinative on the issue of whether AmeriGas was price gouging.Notwithstanding this background, we understand and appreciate that many of our customers may not be aware of what goes on behind the scenes and may suspect that our prices are too highWe do not believe that is the case, given our response to the overall situation and the costs and expenses incurred over this winter by AmeriGas.In this case, [redacted] has terminated service with AmeriGasAs part of his final bill, he was billed for the first fill made to his account, which was not previously billedAs part of our resolution of this matter, AmeriGas has credited the first fill back in the full amount of Additionally, AmeriGas has refunded [redacted] for the propane remaining in the tanks at the time of piand he has indicated that he is satisfied with that refundFinally, any late fees on the account have been removed. Please do not hesitate to contact me at [redacted] or by email to [redacted] if you have questions or follis needed.Very truly yours,Senior Counsel

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.? If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] ? As requested, the needed information is as follows:Energy North Propane [redacted] DriveConcord, NH ? 03301Account Number: ? [redacted] My address at the time of last two deliveries - [redacted] Drive, Litchfield, NH ? Last invoice number issued: ? [redacted] dated 1/21/ Regards, [redacted] ?

In November, because of very poor customer service we cancelled our service with AmeriGas and asked that they come pick up their tank We sent a letter, certified, return receipt requested, asking them to remove the charge for the tank and advising that their tank had been removed to the side of our driveway and to please pick it up Upon receipt of the letter, we did receive a call telling us the office had taken us off their service and that they would pick up the tank within a couple of weeks Well here it is one year letter and we received another invoice for tank rental and the tank is still in our way in our driveway

Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P(“AmeriGas”) the opportunity to respond to the above-referenced complaint, wherein Mrs [redacted] expresses concern over her billingWe take complaints from our customers very seriouslyAt the outset, please know that we have spoken to Mrs [redacted] since the filing of Mr***’s complaint and understand that she is pleased with AmeriGas’ service and the steps taken to address their concernsAs a threshold matter, AmeriGas denies that it is engaging in price gougingWe understand and appreciate that some of our customers may not be aware of how their propane is priced and therefore may suspect our prices are too highWith respect to specific allegations in Mr***’s complaint, we conducted a review of his account and provide the following responseBy way of background, Mr [redacted] is not participating in any of our Guaranteed Price Protection (GPP) programs which allow a customer to lock in their propane at a specific price or enter into a budget pay agreementAs such, Mr [redacted] is considered a market based customer and pays a price per gallon set by the company on the date of deliveryAs is common in the propane industry market based pricing is generally based upon volume and is broken down by tiers, i.e., customers are placed in tiers based on their annual usage volumeGenerally, the higher the customer volume, the lower their price per gallon will beThis is because customers who use very little propane on a yearly basis have a higher cost of deliveryMr***’s last delivery was for gallons during which he was charged the correct price per gallon of $On August 7, AmeriGas reviewed the GPP programs with Mrs [redacted] and we offered her the option to pre-purchase propane or to join any of the existing GPP plansMrs [redacted] refused the offersAdditionally, Mr [redacted] expressed that he contacted the City of Clearwater and was offered a rate of $per gallon for the first yearIn addressing Mr***’s concern that other propane companies offer lower pricing, it is a common practice in the propane industry to offer “first fill” or very attractive introductory pricing to new customers that is at or below market [redacted] ***, Valley Forge, PA ###-###-#### rates as a vehicle to attract new businessThis “first fill” pricing is markedly different from a competitor’s market-based pricingWith regard to the various prices propane users in the area are paying for propane, we do not know if these customers are receiving gas at a locked in price, at a first fill price, are members of a buying group, or are under some other pricing program that many propane companies offerThus, simply comparing one price offered by a competitor against AmeriGas’ price is not evidence that AmeriGas is overcharging its customersAmeriGas strives to be the best propane company in the countryAs such, we seek to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by providing our customers with numerous additional services beyond the simple delivery of propaneThese services include: a driver and service technician on call hours per day at our District Office, a 24-hour emergency call center, an extensive safety department which provides safety training year round to our employees, and online customer account accessProviding these services to our customers means that sometimes our prices may be higher than our competitors who do not offer the same high quality of customer serviceAfter speaking with Mrs [redacted] on August 22, to explain our pricing and to hear her concerns, we offered to send a new bill for the last delivery and price match that delivery to the City of Clearwater’s rate of $per gallonAt this time, AmeriGas also offered Mrs [redacted] a floating price contract that matches the City of Clearwater’s rate and to revisit the GPP plans next summerMrs [redacted] agreed to review the offered contract and to contact AmeriGas with how she would like to proccedAdditionally, we offered to conduct a thorough check of the tank and system she is utilizing to assure it remains in proper conditionIf Mror Mrs*** would like further explanation of their usage, they can contact Clearwater AmeriGas District Manager, Gary B***, at: ###-###-####I trust that this letter adequately responds to the issues raised in the above referenced complaintIn light of the foregoing, AmeriGas reasonably considers this matter resolvedIf you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact meSincerely, Jill D [redacted] Jill D [redacted] Customer Advocacy Manager Jill D [redacted] | Customer Advocacy Manager | AmeriGas | ( ###-###-####

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:These people are is or fraudsters! 1- [redacted] DID NOT request a fill up, [redacted] Requested gallons ONLY! I specifically told them that, with the intent of finding a new provider by the time I needed a refill!! I get gas TWICE a year, NOT twice a month 2- Amerigas is causing me a financial hardship by first overcharging me, and making it difficult to leave their service by again overcharging me for the tankI refuse to pay over $3,bucks to a bad company for the privilege of ditching them! 3- Since I did not choose to do business with Amerigas (it was installed by the builder who must have gotten some kickback for choosing them...he's been sued a few times by neighbors as well) I need them to communicate to me what it would take for them to get their gas and their tankIn light of their adamant, yet erroneous account of the issues I don't see any other solution at this point Regards, [redacted] ***
