I am writing in response to a complaint filed against Princeton Lakes Apartments by *** ***.On October 1, 2012, *** *** and *** *** moved in at Princeton Lakes Apartments, not as stated in the original complaintAt their initial lease signing, they signed our Pet Addendum and
agreed to pay a one-time, $Non-Refundable Pet Fee per pet, not $as also stated in the original complaintThis fee is charged in lieu of a monthly pet rent that most apartment complexes charge.At Move-Out, we ask our carpet cleaners to come in and give us an estimate for all carpet cleaningsAt the time of their move-out, a black light was used and it was determined that the carpet had cat urine and would need treatedI have attached a copy of the original estimate and we have pictures if copies of them are needed.Once all the move-out charges are calculated, a Security Deposit Disposition is mailed to the resident and they are given days to contact us to make payment arrangementsIf no arrangements are made, then the balance owed is turned over to our collection attorneys, LB Gray.In November 2013, Princeton Lakes had a change in managers and the file was not sent to collectionsAfter a recent audit of our collection accounts, we contact LB Gray and was informed that we were well within the legal statute of limitations of years and we turned the account over for collection.I have attached a copy of the original lease, pet addendum, move-out charges, carpet cleaning estimate and security deposit dispositionIf you need any other documentation or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 317-774-or email me at lat***@pedcor.net.Sincerely, Laurie T***Property ManagerPrinceton Lakes Apartments
