Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I am not satisfied for the following reasons: Angie's List was not able to see the documentation attached in the last response, although I opened it up just now, it's there Also, my response did not show up in red/black, so I have attached that again They have never acknowledged a mistake was made in the contract negotiation, and in the contract itself, and in the sales reps misinformed answers to my questions They knew a mistake had been made and that I was waiting for someone to work with me to work out a different way to advertise with the $I had already paid them, but instead of working on a mutually beneficial solution they went ahead and published the advertising without my knowledge or consent (It's all in the documentation they were unable to see last response.) Their response is inaccurate Not once in the last months has anyone from Angie's List seen beyond the "contract" to a customer Regards, [redacted]

July 8, 2015Indianapolis Revdex.comEWashington StreetIndianapolis, IN 46202Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] , Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company On 9/11/2014, Mr [redacted] agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one year per the attached agreement You will notice that the agreement is not signed, but Mr [redacted] electronically accepted the agreement on 9/11/at 10:AM EST On 12/9/2014, [redacted] agreed to another advertisement per the second attached agreement Before Angie’s List will publish an advertisement, we require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation feeThat fee is 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement Yesterday, 7/7/2015, was the first time Mr [redacted] expressed interest in cancelling the agreement, and the ad was cancelled the same day In terms of removing [redacted] from Angie’s List, it is important to understand that Angie’s List is a consumer forumThe company listings on our website are supplied largely by our consumer members Because consumers add service providers to the list, we do not remove businesses from the list, as this would stifle the consumer’s right to reviewWhile we do not honor requests to remove a provider from the List, we do withhold unwilling participants from Category and Keyword searches If Mr [redacted] would like this change made to their company profile, we would be happy to accommodate them upon requestWe are not willing, however, to remove the business from the list completely, even if they do not want to participateIn short, I sincerely apologize if we failed to deliver to the extent of Mr [redacted] ’s expectationsWe did, however, deliver to the extent of our contractAngie’s List and [redacted] had a binding agreement, and just as we have acted in accordance with our obligations, so must Mr [redacted] Their late payments for services rendered and the early termination fee for their contract are still owed to Angie’s List at this point, so we cannot guarantee that we will not continue seeking these. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse B***Angie’s List
June 12, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr [redacted] for any frustration or confusion regarding his membership Currently, Angie’s List does not offer refunds for purchased memberships, except in specific one-off situations I would like to apologize to Mr [redacted] that this was not made clear when he was joining Angie’s List Angie’s List would like to apologize for any confusion regarding a cancellation request in that resulted in Mr [redacted] being invoiced for a renewal of his membership I do notice that Mr [redacted] was renewed twice for his membership One of those charges was refunded back to Mr [redacted] ’s credit card on 6/2/in the amount of $ I have requested a refund for the second $charge to Mr [redacted] It will take a few days for the funds to reflect on Mr [redacted] ’s credit card I find it regrettable that we left Mr [redacted] feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse M [redacted] Angie’s List
October 30, 2015Indianapolis Revdex.comEWashington StreetIndianapolis, IN 46202Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] , Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to respond to complaints against our companyI first wanted to apologize to Mr [redacted] for all of the frustration he has dealt with.On 6/11/2015, Mr [redacted] agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one year per the attached agreement We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement However, despite the signed contract stating a month contract, we have determined that statements made during the sales process could well have been misleading In light of this potential miscommunication, we are considering the contract canceled and waiving our standard early termination fee.In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe thank him for the opportunity to correct our earlier errors, and would welcome the chance to earn back Mr [redacted] ’s trust in the future. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse B***Angie’s List
We have been in contact with this customer and explained his current balance for services rendered The customer's contract has been cancelled as the customer requested Unfortunately, we have not been able to have a constructive conversation with this customer to resolve their complaint At this time, the customer owes the remaining balance for the services provided during the duration of their contract
July 15, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] Thank you for bringing this update to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to respond I have been in direct communication with [redacted] , and have explained our policies to himI find it frustrating and unfortunate that [redacted] appears to have received misinformation from another source; however, it should be self-evident that the manager at Angie’s List who oversees our ecommerce refund policy would have better and more accurate information than another partyDespite any misinformation to the contrary, we typically do not offer refunds for deals purchased years agoAfter the expiration date of a deal, the member retains only the paid value as a voucher for the specific service provider who offered the deal However, we value [redacted] ’s membership and would love to make an exception to our standard policy by helping him swap the deal out with a current offer, even one in a totally separate type of work [redacted] has declined my personal assistance with finding a replacement offer, but he should still have my personal contact informationI remain hopeful that he will let me know of any current needs so that I can help him replace his offerUntil that point, [redacted] is welcome to work directly with [redacted] the service provider, to realize the paid value of his ecommerce voucher Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse [redacted] Angie’s List

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Angie's list is correct that they are not directly responsible for the landscapers service, but they are responsible for having downgraded me from to hours of work after the fact without consulting me as per my lawyers adviceThat was a direct order from angies list to the landscaper while they were on siteWhen I asked to speak to the supervisor for an explanation from angies list they told me to call them afterAngies list is directly responsible in this case, and made a decision that impacted my service without verifying what I was entitled to under my "landscaping" purchase vs "tree service" they gave me at reduced hoursHad it been a tree service the provider should have at least had a ladder or and a chain saw to trim branches that were more than 1" thick Regards, [redacted] ***
June 29, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ***, Thank you for bringing this updated complaint to our attentionWe always appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our companyI apologize for the delay in my response On 5/16/2016, Mr [redacted] agreed to advertise with Angie’s List for one year We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement Angie’s List has moved to a free membership option in Mr***’s area as of 6/5/ Angie’s List requires all members, whether paid or free, to input some basic information to access our website This greatly reduces the number of unqualified leads that service providers would receive without requiring this basic information I apologize if Mr [redacted] had a misconception about the meaning of the free membership type Angie’s List advertising contracts do not promise the generation of any leads, only visibility and placement on the website and in the monthly publication Currently, Mr [redacted] has advised management that he would like to continue his advertising with Angie’s List for the time being to allow his full advertising contract to become active Mr [redacted] advised that he will make a determination on his advertising in the future In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer has been disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe hope that we can avoid any frustration as we continue to work together Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this updated complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse B [redacted] Angie’s List

December 1, 2015Indianapolis BBB22 E. Washington StreetIndianapolis, IN 46202Attn. [redacted] Re: Complaint Case # [redacted] ,Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to tell our side of the story regarding complaints brought against our... company. As you may know, Angie’s List allows consumers to post comments regarding experiences they have had with area companies. Angie’s List is a passive conduit for these comments, meaning the content is wholly supplied by our consumer members. Because other consumers rely on the statements made by each member, we require each and every member to sign the following statement before submitting a report: [redacted] I confirm that the information contained in this Service Evaluation Form (i) is true and accurate and (ii) represents my actual first-hand experience, or experience which I am authorized to discuss. I acknowledge and understand that Angie's List is relying upon the accuracy of the information in order to serve other members. I confirm that I do not work for, am not in competition with, or am not in any way related to the service provider in this report.Assuming that our members are willing to attest to the truthfulness of each report, we allow positive and negative reports to be submitted to our forum. We do not remove reports at the request of service providers. Rather, we allow each service provider to respond to any reports they receive, to share their point of view. Specifically, Angie’s List does not act in the capacity of judge or jury. Rather we are a conduit through which information is allowed to pass. Thus, the court of public opinion is able to decide which argument has merit. In this instance, the member who wrote his review did find the email in question in his “spam” folder, and voluntarily reached out to Angie’s List to ask that his review be deleted. As a result, we have removed the review at the member’s request. I find it regrettable that we left Mr. [redacted] feeling no other recourse than to complain to the BBB. However, we believe that Angie’s List has followed appropriate procedures meant to ensure we stay as neutral as possible. We abide by the same rules of neutrality regardless of whether and how much a company spends in advertising; this is the only way we can provide a fair and neutral playing field. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint, and please let me know if we can provide any further information.Kind regards,Jesse B***Angie’s List
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I would like to thank the Indiana Revdex.com for giving [redacted] the opportunity to attempt to resolve a conflict with Angie’s List Jesse B***: Please clarify Expiration Date 02/26/on the contract is only Valid if the contract is Un-Signed? But if the contract is signed the Expiration Date 02/26/is Void? Again- [redacted] is still not understanding the legitimacy of the Expiration Date and per your explanation of the expiration date Angie’s List cannot have the expiration date be effective if the contract is un-signed but ineffective if the contract is signedThat truly does not make sense Where on the “Advertising agreement” or on any other documents provided to [redacted] does it provide the terms of the expiration date? [redacted] would like Angie’s List to provide the recorded sales call with Megan R [redacted] to our company or to the Revdex.com Megan R [redacted] provided [redacted] a Misrepresentation of the “advertising agreement” which prompted [redacted] to agree to purchase and enter into a business understanding with Angie’s List Megan R [redacted] did not provide all relevant information pertaining to the context of the “advertising agreement” The Advertising Agreement was sent to [redacted] on 02/11/@ 9:13am and Angie’s List received the signed Advertising Agreement back on 02/11/@9:16am Due to this misleading action and the information about the product during the verbal presentation; [redacted] was lured and enticed with deceptive information and therefore entered into an advertising agreement But of course- All of the factual statements that [redacted] are making are due to our beliefs and understanding of the sales callThe advertising agreement and obligations for both Angie’s List and [redacted] can be cleared up and addressed appropriately if Angie’s List will provide [redacted] and the Revdex.com the recorded sales call with Megan R [redacted] on 02/11/ [redacted] has already been provided a resolution that was rightfully owed to our company $1,was disputed to our bank and refunded back to our account Angie’s List is accepting cancellation of (04/05/16) of the advertising agreementWhy have they not provided [redacted] a refund 02/11/2016- Advertising Agreement started with [redacted] and Angie’s list 2/12/16- $drafted from our account (Advertising Run Date of 03/01/– 03/31/16) 02/26/2016- Advertising Agreement Expired 03/12/- $drafted from our account (Advertising Run Date of 04/01/– 04/30/16) 04-05-16- [redacted] sent Angie’s List correspondence for cancellation of the advertising agreement 04/12/- $drafted from our account (Advertising Run Date of 05/01/– 052/31/16) 05/12/- $drafted from our account (Advertising Run Date of 06/01/– 03/30/16) 06/12/- $drafted from our account (Advertising Run Date of 07/01/– 07/31/16) At minimum $1,should have received a refund from Angie’s List To clarify the 35% early termination fee being waived for [redacted] was due to the outcome of the internal investigation opened by Angie’s List per the Sales Call with our company and Megan R***We were never informed of an “early termination fee” and we were misled and misinformed about the advertising agreement The advertising agreement [redacted] made with Angie’s List was never valid per the Expiration Date of 02/26/ Angie’s List would like [redacted] to abide by the binding agreement, and act in accordance with both parties’ obligations then Angie’s List must abide by the binding expiration date of 02/26/ [redacted] is not a company of excuses and we truthfully and rightfully stand by our word, our commitments and obligations and our integrity [redacted] is holding Angie’s List accountable for what they did & said and did not do or say for our company As business owners ( [redacted] ) we live and breathe our businessIt is our whole lifeWe started our business at age 24( [redacted] ) & 26( [redacted] We saved our money and quit our professional jobs and devoted everything we had to [redacted] ***We are a cash business, we have no debt and we work hard and fight for every dollar we make Since opening in Feb we have been blessed and honored to have served almost 7,customers in the Austin areaFrom to January – [redacted] and I single handedly served customers- just the two of usThe quoted amount of customers I am reporting is a conservative estimate When we were told on 2/11/from Megan R [redacted] that the advertising agreement was month to month and we could cancel anytime (no penalty) On 04/05/we attempted to do so with Angie’s List and that was when we were informed by Justina P [redacted] / Angie List Agent “Your ads have been running slightly over month and I am sorry to hear your request to cancelA this point in time your Early Termination Fee is $1,which is 35% of the unused portion of your advertising remaining on your contract” We were in shock Per Jesse B [redacted] response to the Revdex.com complaint: We truly do hope that Angie’s List provides top notch customers service but [redacted] was not on the receiving end of that customer service [redacted] did not have any other recourse but to file the Revdex.com complaint as emails and several phone calls and voicemail's went un-responded to Everything that we have stated in our complaint and all concerns that we have addressed with Angie’s list directly, [redacted] believes to be 100% accurate [redacted] is closing our complaint with the Revdex.com and we are ending our dispute with Angie’s List due to the $1,refund our bank has providedIf our refund is disputed by Angie’s List and Angie’s List pursues this matter further, then we will re-engage with our complaint and conflict with Angie’s List For now, we are done Regards, [redacted]
