* from Angie's List stated that if I renewed he could run a fetch which he stated would bring in more reviews If Angie's List was honest they would release our "recorded" conversations As we all know here if Angie's List released these conversations it would incriminate them As I was misled again I did not receive one single review from the fetch list although I did give Angie's List access to thousands of my customer's contact information Who knows what they did with that list The facts are the facts: Angie's List provided information to me All but contractor I was competing against was properly licensed Angie's List openly admits that they do not require companies to provide proof of licensing prior to advertising and does not care if the business is licensed or not as long as they are paying to advertise. With that said I saw an article on FB last week about how the Revdex.com and proper contractor licensing Angie's List is clearly stating that they do not check or require business licenses The Revdex.com should not allow Angie's List to get away with this The are deceiving the public.Again I do not accept Angie's List response and I want a refund.I would appreciate the help

I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any miscommunication or misunderstanding in pursuit of his Big Deal refundAngie’s List did not charge Mr*** twice for $89. Mr*** processed one transaction of $for a quantity of two $deals. Angie’s List will not accept responsibility for the overdraft that occurred as a result of his purchase Angie’s List has cancelled Mr***’s free membership. Mr*** has also received the full refund of $at this time. Mr*** should contact his financial institution to request that they waive the overdraft fees due to the error of purchasing a quantity of two of the $deals. I find it regrettable that we left Mr*** feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any frustration with his membership, including any emails he may have received that were unwanted after his attempts to unsubscribe. Mr*** did unsubscribe himself from a few of the different types of emails Angie’s List sends out, and as requested, I have taken the necessary steps to ensure that Angie’s List will no longer correspond to him using his email address. There are prepopulated email lists in place that could result in Mr*** receiving a few emails within the next week, however any email correspondence after this should not be an issue for Mr***. In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe strive to provide top-notch customer service. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse M***Angie’s List

* ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side
of the story regarding complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for any confusion regarding her membership Our records indicate that Ms*** signed up for an annual membership on April of 2015. All of our memberships do default to an automatic renewalOur auto renewal program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membership We provided a notification in the membership agreement Ms*** had to agree to in order to access her membership, indicating that the service would renew automatically. Additionally, this information is included in the welcome packet that is sent to the member’s home after signing up. Ms*** did reach out to us on June 13th to ask for a refund on her renewal that had been processed on April 23rd of this year. We feel there is significant value in our memberships, and Ms***’s Gold membership is normally sold at a price of $per year. We do not feel a refund of her $is merited in this case. I would be happy to discuss the value of the membership with Ms***, and I have included my personal email address in this response. Please share this with Ms*** and invite her to contact me directly if she’d like to discuss the matter further I find it regrettable that we left Ms*** feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse B*** Angie’s List [email protected]

* Peggy, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give
our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company. I apologize for my delay in responding to the Revdex.com I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to MrFlynn for any confusion regarding his membership All of our memberships do default to an automatic renewalOur auto renewal program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membershipWe also email members prior to the renewal date to notify them of the upcoming charge MrFlynn has received a refund for his most recent automatic renewal, which occurred on 12/4/2015. MrFlynn is requesting a refund of the previous automatic renewal, which occurred on 12/4/2014. We are unable to provide MrFlynn with a refund for the 12/4/charge, as he used the membership and actively searched for companies up through 11/11/2015. Since the membership was actively used, we will not issue a refund for the 12/4/charge. If MrFlynn had not actively used the membership, we would have considered issuing the refund as requested Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse Mullins Angie’s List

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI accept their apology; however, they make the assumption that I requested an account. They have said themselves that they have no record of me having an accountI do not want an Angie's List account because it cannot be used from state to state. Since I am in the Army, I need something I can use in any state that I happen to live inI use only one personal email account. The email account that I am using for this action with the Revdex.com is my work account and I chose this one because I know that most of the interaction was going to occur during the day when I am at work. So, if they cannot find an account attached to my personal email, it is likely because I do not have an account with them. Having said that, why am I then being charged $for an account? In one email from their customer service representative, the amount they said an account costs is $12.00. If the account were real, then they would be charging me $more than they should. Also, I have an email from one of their customer service representatives asking me for my banking information (which is why I added phishing to the complaint) because they cannot find an account for me. I did give them the last four of my credit card that they billed which they then should have been able to search. The search should have gone something like this: $billed to 0926. Then, they could have a smaller pool from which to search for the charge they billed to my VISA cardAs a summary: They readily admit that they don't have an account for me. Yet, they charged me for an account that they say I don't have. When I tried to resolve it, they asked for my banking information. Neither of these is acceptableMy bank fixed the charge, but at their expense. Angie's List should not think that the bank should have to pay for an account that does not exist for me either. They now owe my bank $Regards,

November 20, 2014 Indianapolis Revdex.comEWashington StreetIndianapolis, IN 46202Attn*** ***Re: Complaint Case #*** *** Thank you for bringing this complaint to ourattentionWe appreciate the opportunity to clarify anything that might nothave been addressed previously. Angie’s List does not allow anonymousreviewsTo prevent that, we have set guidelines requiring a minimum amount ofinformation from members providing reviewsThis allows the companies beingreviewed to check their records and verify that the report has come from theircustomerTo meet the minimum requirements, a member must include their firstinitial, complete last name and a valid addressNicknames are allowed, in lieuof a first nameIf Mr*** would like to change the way his first nameappears in our system, he is able to do that and still meet the reportingrequirements. Mr*** purchased a Big Deal from thecompany *** *** *** *** on 7/23/2014, but did not notify us of anyissues concerning this deal until 9/25/We have a 30-Day Refund Guaranteein place in hopes that members will contact us as soon as problems arise.Although Mr***’s request was received outside of the window of timespecified in our 30-Day Refund Guarantee, we are able to exchange the deal, ifhe purchases another Big Deal of any monetary amount. I apologize for the problems that Mr***has encountered surrounding his addresses on our websiteWe were able toremove all addresses from Mr***’s view, with the exception of his PO Box.Because our website, as well as our Band of Neighbors feature, references theaddress on file, Mr*** may encounter some difficulty when searching forproviders by distance. I find it regrettable that we left Mr***feeling he had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.com. Thanks again for the opportunity to respondto this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any furtherinformation. Kind regards, Anna ***Angie’s List

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In my complaint, other than the dispute resolution process, which did not start until yesterday morning, there is another serious issue with my review being posted without the pictures I submitted with my review. I originally submitted my review with all the pictures showing the bad workmanship of the Contractor listed on Angie's list on September 13, 2016, which I know is the best way to alert other consumers about this Contractor's quality of workHowever, after more than times calling Angie's List and emailing more than Angie's List the pictures that got somehow removed when Angie's List posted my review, as of today my review posted still does not have any pictures.I had to resubmit my review again with all the pictures two days ago, as one of the representatives suggested, indicating that my pictures may be posted with my review in that way, which still ended up in failure. I would like to see result of resolving the review posting issue within this week, as it has been more than weeks and all my attempts to resolve directly with Angie's List have failed.
