December 28, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** *** Thank you for bringing this complaint response to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to give our side of the story regarding complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any confusion regarding his membership As previously explained, all of our memberships have defaulted to automatic renewal prior to Mr*** joining as a member on 3/21/Mr*** agreed to automatic renewal on his account when he joinedHis membership also informs him that his account will be automatically renewed on the date that ends his current term. I am sorry that Mr*** feels that he was not made aware of Angie’s List’s automatic renewal policy to an extensive enough manner. At this time, Mr***’ membership has been cancelled and his most recent automatic renewal has been refunded, as requested Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. July 21, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint response rejection to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to respond. Mr*** has been working with Colleen C***, a supervisor with the Member Care Department. Colleen has granted an exception to Mr*** regarding his expiration date. She has provided him with a day extension to purchase a replacement offer to receive a refund on his original purchase. Mr*** can continue to work with Colleen directly to resolve his complaintColleen C*** has confirmed that she has not received any correspondence from Mr*** to assist him with the exchange of his original purchase. Each eCommerce offer is set up on a contract with each service provider. Angie’s List does not have a way for Mr*** to use his original funds to purchase a new offer. Angie’s List offers members the opportunity to exchange offers that are outside of days from purchase and prior to their expiration date. The exchange can be accomplished by purchasing a replacement offer, which makes the original purchase eligible to be refunded. This has been explained to Mr*** by Colleen C*** and is the only option Mr*** has to receive a refund on his original purchase. This is the exact offer that Mr*** was given when he originally requested a refund outside of days from his purchase in 2015. Angie’s List has granted an exception to our policy and provided Mr*** with a day extension well outside of the expiration of the offer he purchasedThanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Kind regards, Jesse M*** Angie’s List

complaints against our company As Mr*** states, he signed an advertising contract to live on 2/1/for a full year. We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement. We have looked into Mr***’s concerns and did not find any wrongdoing throughout the sales process, because of this we won’t be refunding his paymentHowever, we are agreeing to cancel his advertisements and are waiving the standard early termination fee due to the customer service issues he mentionedWe apologize for any frustration caused to Mr*** We strive to provide top notch customer service, and we regret that Mr*** felt that he had no recourse but to turn to the Revdex.com Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. regarding complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for the frustration this process has caused Ms*** purchased an offer from the company, *** *** in March, While the offer could be redeemed within one year, the day refund policy was not in affect and Ms*** was denied a refund in error. Deals purchased now do have a day policy regarding refunds. At that time, other options are made available to members. Because this purchase was prior to that new policy, a refund should have been granted at her request, as no work was done. We are addressing this with the representatives that she spoke with. Additionally, providers are paid for the deals that are purchased through Angie’s List in a short turnaround time (whether the deal was used or not used). This was a topic that was raised by Ms*** and again, she was not given the correct information from the Angie’s List representative. A refund was processed today in the amount of $ I find it regrettable that we left Ms*** feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
This is unacceptableI have complained about the service with this company from day one When we signed up for the advertising, we were told the ecommerce was part of what we were getting for the $And it was something you don't get it when you don't advertise with themAlso, not only were they getting the $250/mo, but they also got upt 30-35% of the majority of ecommerce deals sold. I tried several times to cancel early on and they kept promising things would get better and the did not For the ecommerce to be separate from the advertising, they sure push it tremendously to their customersWe are not asking for a refund for what we receivedThe only way to resolve this is for their to be no more charges.
Regards,
*** ***

Angie's List has been in contact with this customer and will continue to offer the assistance that has been offered for their Big Deal purchase. The customer purchased an offer with a service provider through the Angie's List platform. Their purchase is with the service provider.
Their complaint would be best suited to reflect on the service provider with whom they purchased the offer

filed against our company I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for any frustration she has experienced with our new website Ms***’s review should be submitting to our new website without technical errors at this time. Angie’s List has rolled over to a new website. All members should have no problems submitting reviews or conducting searches on the new website. If Ms*** is experiencing technical difficulties, Angie’s List IT will gladly look into Ms***’s account to attempt to resolve any issue creating these errors Ms*** has contacted Angie’s List several times regarding this issue. Ms***’s account has been set up so it will not automatically renew. If Ms*** wishes to renew her membership, she will have to do so manually. Angie’s List has also issued a full refund for Ms***’s membership fees already and advised Ms*** that we are allowing her to keep her membership at no cost with Gold level benefits for the remainder of her current membership term, which ends 3/31/2017. Additionally, Angie’s List representatives have offered to assist Ms*** each time she has contacted Angie’s List to uncover any technical issues that may be causing the issues she has described. Ms*** has declined this assistance and ended the call, chat, or email conversation with the representative. I can certainly understand Ms***’s frustration with this situation. Erick Simpson emailed Ms*** yesterday to request additional information regarding the technical issues she has experienced. Erick will gladly take the information Ms*** can provide to have our IT Department address the issues with Ms***’s account I find it regrettable that we left Ms*** feeling she had no recourse but to contact the Revdex.comWe strive to provide top-notch service to our members Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. February 3, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to clarify anything that might
not have been addressed previously On 12/28/2016, Mr*** started to advertise with Angie’s List for one year per an electronically signed agreement. We require each prospective advertiser to sign a contract outlining the services Angie’s List will render, the relevant categories and the ad rate a service provider must pay for these servicesEach contract includes a standard cancellation fee of 35% of the remaining balance of the agreement. Mr*** was in communication with representatives discussing his advertising, as well as an additional program Angie’s List offers for eCommerce opportunities. Mr***’s company did not qualify to start running offers in our eCommerce programs when he initially started his advertising campaign. Due to this issue, Mr*** cancelled his contract and disputed all charges associated with his contract. Some of the charges disputed were for services that had been rendered After reviewing Mr***’s complaint, Angie’s List will waive the early termination fee since Mr***’s request to cancel was made within days of starting his advertising campaign. This has been addressed with the collections company Mr***’s debt currently resides with. Angie’s List will not waive the amount owed for services rendered in the amount of $21. Mr*** can resolve this debt with the collections company directly We strive to provide top notch customer service to members and service providers alike and regret that the consumer was disappointed with his experience with Angie’s ListWe delivered to the extent of our contractAngie’s List and Mr***’s company have a binding agreement, and just as we have acted in accordance with our obligations, so must Mr*** Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. August 30, Indianapolis Revdex.com EWashington Street Indianapolis, IN Attn*** *** Re: Complaint Case # *** Hello ***, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attentionWe appreciate the opportunity to tell our side of the story I
would first like to offer a sincere apology to Mr*** for his recent customer service experience with Angie’s List. As you may know, Angie’s List allows consumers to post comments regarding experiences they have had with area companies. Angie’s List is a passive conduit for these comments, meaning the content is wholly supplied by our consumer members. Because other consumers rely on the statements made by each member, we require each and every member to sign the following statement before submitting a report: * I confirm that the information contained in this Service Evaluation Form (i) is true and accurate and (ii) represents my actual first-hand experienceI acknowledge and understand that Angie's List is relying upon the accuracy of the information in order to serve other membersI confirm that I do not work for, am not in competition with, or am not in any way related to the service provider in this report Assuming that our members are willing to attest to the truthfulness of each report, we allow positive and negative reports to be submitted to our forum. We do not remove reports at the request of service providers. Rather, we allow each service provider to respond to any reports they receive, to share their point of view Angie’s List uses a combination of proprietary technology and good old-fashioned investigative techniques to root out potential conflicts of interest, cases of fraud, and attempts to “stuff the ballot box” with positive comments. We verify that reviews are not anonymous and have been left by a real person. Angie’s List also submits itself to annual audits to hold ourselves accountable to our procedures Angie’s List does not verify that the review is factual, as that is subjective to the experience of the member and service provider involved in the transaction. Angie’s List offers each service provider the opportunity to share their point of view, thus giving a fuller view of the interaction. Angie’s List verifies that the review is left by a real person, providers each company with the opportunity to confirm that the review was left by a real customer, and holds itself accountable as a neutral third party through independent annual audits We do have processes in place if a service provider notifies us that they do not recognize the name/address of a member associated with a review on their company. We will reach out to the member that submitted the review in an attempt to have them confirm that review a second time, at the request of the service provider. Angie’s List looked into the review, at Mr***’s request, and determined that the review could not be confirmed as a competitor or verified as a real person, which resulted in the removal of the review. It is unfortunate that this negative review resulted in a grade drop and the removal of Mr***’s advertising from Angie’s List. It is also unfortunate that proper notification was not provided to Mr*** regarding the removal of his advertising I find it regrettable that we left Mr*** feeling that he had no other recourse than to contact the Revdex.com regarding this situation. Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint, and please let me know if we can provide any further information Kind regards, Jesse M*** Angie’s List

complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Mr*** for any frustration with his membership, including any emails he may have received that were unwanted after his attempts to unsubscribe Mr*** has updated his email preferences on Angie’s List to minimize email correspondence from Angie’s List. As requested, I have taken the necessary steps to ensure that Angie’s List will no longer correspond to Mr*** using his email address. There are prepopulated email lists in place that could result in Mr*** receiving a few emails within the next week, however any email correspondence after this should not be an issue for Mr***. In short, I sincerely apologize that this customer is disappointed with their experience with Angie’s ListWe strive to provide top-notch customer service Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Unfortunatly, I do not appear to be getting what we agreed to Angie's list said that they would provide greater visability by"dropping their paywall" which I thought to mean that anyone coming from Google would be able to search and use Angie's list without signing up This different is large because Google cannot scan and index the categories and Google treats sites differently that have a wall up before their data.I did not sign a contract stating that there is a 35% cancellation fee that I know of and Angie's list did not provide me with what I thought I was getting Angie's list is a scam and a fraud and I will not be paying anything in the future.

complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for any confusion regarding her membership All of our memberships do default to an automatic renewalOur auto renewal program was implemented as a result of member feedback indicating it would be convenient to renew without being required to call or mail in a request to do soWe acknowledge that with every improvement, we run the risk of offending a small portion of our membersSome people, caught off guard when their renewal goes through, clearly do not benefit from this intended convenienceBecause of this, Angie’s List strives to make sure that each member has the opportunity to learn about the program prior to paying for a membershipWe also email members prior to the renewal date to notify them of the upcoming charge Ms*** has already been in contact with a supervisor at Angie’s List and her concerns were in the process of being addressed and handled. The recent membership charge was refunded and two checks are being issued to cover all overdraft fees, totaling $105. These checks are being overnighted to Ms*** to avoid any further overdraft fees I find it regrettable that we have failed Ms***We strive to provide top-notch service to our membersAgain, we sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaintPlease let me know if we can provide any further information. complaints filed against our company. I’d like to start by offering a sincere apology to Ms*** for the difficulties in pursuit of her Big Deal refundAccording to our records, Ms*** contacted us on 5/23/to ask for a refund of her purchase, which was made on 4/12/All Angie’s List eCommerce purchases have a Day Refund Guarantee that only applies if no work has been performed. All members must request a refund within days of purchase I have reviewed Ms***’s specific refund request and deemed that an exception can be granted since the service provider missed their scheduled appointment. I have processed Ms***’s refund at this time and sent her a follow up email to confirm this information With that being said, I would like to apologize that the dialogue between Ms*** and Tammy W*** did not get to the bottom of the issues with Ms***’s concerns about her purchase. Since none of the work listed in the deal was performed, a refund would have been authorized if Ms*** would have reached out to Angie’s List within days of her purchase.
