Aqua Finance Reviews (%countItem)

If you pay off the entirety of what you owe shown on your statement don't fret they'll still charge you interest and tell you to *** off. I pay off the entirety of the $7000 finance and the next month I get a bill for $30 because of interest that was charged on the days my payment was in the mail. Then I'm told that if I pay the online amount it shows what I owe but that's a lie as it only updates each billing cycle. So be prepared to be nickle and dimed by this company.

Aqua Finance should be banned from doing business period. They offer NO (0) transparency and then representatives cannot explain details. I financed a Water Softener from a salesman who explained that the account would be paid off in 7 years. There was a promotional APR rate of around 4% for the first year and 11% (estimates) after. When the rate increased, I had financial difficulty and worked with a debt consolidation company for all debts. Aqua would not accept payments from the company, and when Aqua notified me, I explained the situation, and they advised they would extend the promotional APR another year. Today, I was notified that the APR is going back up, which I was ok with, but I asked what my balance was, and they advised it was $6700 on a unit that cost $7600 when I purchased it four years ago. I asked why the balance was so high, and the representative advised that I paid $4000 with $1000 towards principal and $3000 towards interest. I was shocked and reacted as such. I then asked several clarifying questions about when my account would be paid off and more, but the representative could not answer anything clearly. She also stated that the account did not have a payoff date estimate at all. She advised there was no set time. This is not what was advised when we made the agreement. This makes no financial sense. It is mandated that the company provide an amount of time that it would take a customer to pay off the account if they maintained the minimum payment and the amount they would pay, yet this representative could not provide the requested information. I asked for recordings of prior calls, and they representative ignored the request and refused to have someone listen to them. I then advised I wanted a "Do Not Call" order placed on my account and advised I would be filing bankruptcy. She continued to try and speak about the account. I finally advised I needed to drop the call so I could calm down. There are no circumstances outside of payday loans where this interest would be charged, and they are required to advise that their loan is a short-term solution and is not intended for long term purposes. Aqua makes no disclaimer as such. No one notified me of these conditions until today. The APR was does not calculate - I should have been at an APR of 4% for 4 years, which does not equate to $3000 of $4000 being charged to interest. This needs to be a class action lawsuit with others who have been misled and forced to pay higher interest than communicated.

Aqua Finance Response • Aug 20, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. We take these complaints and all complaints seriously and offer our findings below. We hope this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter. Mr. states there was no transparency regarding the promotion they were offered on their loan. I have attached a copy of the promotional addendum that was signed by Mr. and Mrs.. This document given to Mr. and Mrs. when they signed their loan documents indicates their promotional rate of 5.9% and that after 1 year the rate increases to 13.9%. Additionally, the payment factor increases from 1% to 1.5%. Aqua Finance is also required to disclose this promotion on each billing statement that was sent to Mr. and Mrs.. On the 11th billing statement it also states that this is the last month of the 5.9% and that the rate will increase the following month. Also prior to funding the loan, a call was placed to Mr. to verify the terms of his loan and ensure satisfaction with the product purchased. On this call, Aqua Finance explains the promotion of the 5.9% and that in 12 months it will increase to 13.9%. Mr. agreed to these terms on a recorded line and attested that he had received all copies of his loan documents.

On 5/2/2016 in accordance with the terms of the contract, the rate and payment amount increased. Our next conversation with Mr. was on 5/9/2017. He called our office to change his ACH information. On November 6, 2016 a request was received to cancel the ACH on the loan. This request was processed. On December 11, 2017 we were contacted by National Debt Relief. We advised them that as a secured creditor, we could not work with them and would be happy to work with the customer directly. No payments were made on the loan from November 2017 to April 2018. On May 9, 2018 we spoke to Mr. and worked with him to arrange a repayment plan and reduce his monthly payment. We agreed to reduce his rate back to the 5.9% and the payment amount back to the $77.00 for one year. On September 19, 2018 we deferred the outstanding payments on his loan to bring him current and assist him in getting back on track.

Aqua Finance believes we have made numerous attempts to assist Mr. and Mrs. in resolving their loan by reducing their rate, lowering payment, deferring their payment and changing the due date to accommodate their new payment plan. Lastly, I have included a billing statement that clearly explains the time it will take to pay off the loan based on making the minimum payment or making larger payments. If Mr. has any further questions, he is welcome to contact our office at ***. Thank you.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The response does not address the failure of the representative to be able to offer payoff amount or time when making minimal payments nor does it address the refusal to provide requested recordings of the conversations with representatives who did not disclose that my payments would only go towards accrued interest. I would never have agreed to that. In addition, it does not address that the representative failed to stop collections effort when I advised I would be filing bankruptcy. I am requesting that recording as well. The response does not offer calculations that justify how $3000 of $4000 paid is interest only. Companies, like Aqua, try and defend questionable practices by small language in a contract - shame on me for not reading thoroughly- but the representative sent out was not forthcoming and straightforward in what he communicated. Aqua should accept some responsibility for the people that they partner with in the field. Regarding statements being sent, I have not received a single statement from Aqua in recent years.

Aqua Finance Response • Aug 22, 2019

We are in receipt of Mr. response to our clarification of his original complaint dated 8/14/2019. On 8/13/2019, Mr. asked our representative for a payoff amount, and was given an accurate and correct figure to pay his account off. Regarding a time frame that it would take to pay the account off in full, by making the minimum monthly payment; this information is available on every monthly statement. In addition, because the loan is a Revolving loan, much like a Credit card, it has no stated last payment date.

Regarding Mr. claim that Aqua Finance continued collection efforts after he stated he was filing Bankruptcy; When Mr. was given the payoff amount, he became upset and asked why the amount was so high yet. The representative reviewed the terms of the loan with Mr. and explained to him that when there is an extended amount of time between payments, the interest continues to accrue to a point where the minimum monthly payment does not cover the accrued interest. At his point Mr. stated he would have to consider filing Bankruptcy, that he did not have the money to make the payments and he ended the call stating he had to calm down and would call us back at a later time. At no time did we continue collection efforts after Mr. mentioned Bankruptcy.

Mr. states that at no time was it disclosed to him that his payments would only go towards accrued interest. Interest calculations and payment applications are disclosed to every applicant in the Revolving Loan Disclosures. This is in fact how all loans are structured where any accrued interest is paid first, then late charges or other fees, and the remaining funds of any payment will be applied to the principal balance. However, if the accrued interest is greater than the amount of the payment, due to regular payments not being made, the entire payment will be applied to that accrued interest, until such time as the payment made is greater than the amount of accrued interest. We would invite Mr. to discuss or review this with a trusted Banker or Loan Officer of his choosing, for additional clarification.

Aqua Finance will be mailing a Statement of account to Mr. Harp showing a history of his payments, and the breakdown of Principal and Interest applied.

As stated in our original response, Aqua Finance has made numerous accommodations to assist Mr, and Mrs ***, including reduced payments, reduced interest rates, and deferrals of past due payments.

Aqua Finance Response • Aug 15, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. Mr. signed a Revolving Credit Agreement for a water treatment system on July 19, 2016. According to the contract he had until July 22, 2016 to mail the cancellation paperwork to Safe Water, Inc. On July 26, 2016 Aqua Finance called Mr. and verified the terms of his loan. He agreed to the contract and verified the system was functioning properly. This call was recorded and can be provided upon request. On September 28, 2016 Mr. called and said he had canceled his contract. We asked him to provide a copy of the cancellation and he stated that he did not have a copy and did not know where he sent it to. On January 26, 2017 Mr. offered to pay $2,000.00 to settle his loan and close the account. We told him we were unable to accept that, but would work with him towards a manageable repayment plan. On March 6, 2017 Mr. contacted our office and set up a payment plan of $88.00 per month. He made 6 payments of $88.00 and then stopped. We were unable to contact him until December where he stated his partner was going to be assisting him with the account and gave us authorization to speak to her.

Aqua Finance believes this is a valid, enforceable loan that was not canceled based on the numerous conversations had with Mr. and the payments he made on his loan. IF he has questions or would like to work out a payment plan, we would be happy to assist him. He may contact our office at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

Aqua Finance, Inc. has reviewed the the information provided by Mr.. We have no record of the cancellation notice received by us or the Dealership. It appears that he took the form that we furnished in our response and backdated it. If he has the proof of certified mail and delivery from the date the cancellation was completed, we will review. At this time we maintain the position that this loan was not cancelled as numerous payments were made and the loan was verified by Mr., well after the cancellation period had expired.

They are not telling the truth. They just want money.

Regards

In early November of 2018 we were contacted via postal mail with a postcard saying that we missed a delivery of a package. It looked legitimate so we called the number on the card thinking this was from the post office or fed ex. The number then directed my husband to set up a test for the water at our home. I was skeptical but he insisted that they just wanted to make sure our water was clean and up to standards. It sounds legitimate as well.

When they come to our house a couple days later we are greeted with a salesman aggressively selling a whole house water filtration and softening system. He told us that they were accredited by the Revdex.com which was later found to be untrue. We were not looking into these systems and were not interested at all. He proceeded to “test” our water with what I’m sure we’re highly inflated numbers to falsify the tests. He would tell us that the amount of chlorine in our water was dangerous and “how could we bathe our children in this water”. I felt very pressured and uncomfortable so we told him we needed to discuss it. He left for a few minutes and we decided we didn’t not want anything to do with this system he selling. We he came back in we told him firmly that we were not interested. He persisted and we eventually gave in because he would not leave. He promised if we gave him 10 names and numbers of homeowners and a letter of recommendation he would give us five years of free soaps. We have not received anything.

After doing some research we learned that the same system he sold us for $6000+ is only about $400-$1000 anywhere else. The price was way inflated just to take advantage of us.

After having the system for about eight months, we notice a leak coming from the brine tank. When we called to report it we were met with a voicemail multiple times when calling during normal business hours. We finally receive a call back that the order has been made and three days later a technician calls us to come out. This is two weeks after we initially found the problem!

This company also seems to be disappearing. Their website isn’t functioning anymore aside from the front page with the phone numbers on it. There is no way to look up any of their addresses anymore and all the numbers go to voicemail! Like they never existed !

I just want them to take their system out of my house and erase my loan and take it off my credit report. They can keep the money I already gave them but I don’t want anything else to do with this fraudulent company anymore!

Aqua Finance Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms.. We have investigated her complaint and have reached out to the dealership who sold her the system. As the finance company, we were not present during the sale of the product.

The dealership states that Ms. system was serviced per her call and request. They also state their website is functioning and lists phone numbers to call for service. Her contract with the dealership also states if she finds an identical product form a manufacturer with the same warranty, that a price match would be done. If Ms. needs additional assistance obtaining service, we are happy to conduct a conference call to assist her. She may contact our office at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have been trying to get a hold of the dealership that sold me the equipment for almost three weeks now. I call every other day and leave a message with the office in Chattanooga (the one I was told to contact) and have not been called back at all. The only time they did call back was about a month ago when I found the leak. Even then it took almost two weeks for a home to call me back and then an additional two days for a technician to reach out to me. After he reached out I was informed by him that they would be charging me over $100 for labor before they even came out to my home.

That is the reason I started reaching out to contact aqua finance, because I can no longer reach aqua edge. In regards to their website working normally. It is not. The website used to have multiple pages explaining how the system works and showing testimonials from customers. Now it only shows the front page with phone numbers.

I do believe I found this system or one similar significantly cheaper elsewhere and would love to discuss the price match with aqua edge. Again, I am unable to reach them no matter what number I try to call.

I have emailed them and repeatedly attempted to reach them at this number and all the other numbers provided to me. They are unreachable and I will not be satisfied until I can contact them and hold them to the promises they made to me while selling me the system. I will not be paying my aqua finance bill until these problems are resolved.

We first were basically harassed into purchasing a water softener system by Aquas sales people who would not leave our house. We are an active duty military family who own a home in *** Florida (where the system was installed), we received orders to move to the West Coast and then who knows where else. We are planning to sell our home in Florida and contacted the sales team there who sold us the system to see if we could come to a payoff amount since we are paying for something monthly that we absolutely cannot use. They were pretty rude and said there was nothing they could do and to contact the finance company. The finance company also said there was nothing they could do and the amount will remain the same. Personally, I feel like they preyed on a military family who they figured had money (this happens often) and now we are stuck paying for a system we can't do anything with since we are renting and can't have it relocated to our rental. Not to mention the amount of interest they tack onto the overall purchase - we will never get this paid off. So I have this debt with nothing to show for it. We were willing to pay it off for a lesser payoff amount since we are basically just giving them money, but they refuse to work with us despite our active duty status and situation because of it. This company is shady and are just about sales, I would never recommend them to anyone and I will continue to tell military families not to fall into their sales tactics. They are not family oriented or respectful of those who serve this country.

Aqua Finance is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. We have investigated his claims and offer our response below. We hope this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter.

Mr. states in his complaint that he was coerced in to purchasing the water treatment system by “Aqua’s sales team”. This information is incorrect. Mr. signed a contract for a water treatment system sold by *** through the finance company *** on May 13, 2016. Aqua Finance, Inc. is a finance company that purchased the loan from *** on July 22, 2016. Aqua Finance, Inc. values all our customers; especially those who serve our country. If Mr. is experiencing a financial hardship, we welcome him to contact our office directly and we have options to assist him with possibly a reduced interest rate or a possible refinance based on the information received. He may contact us to do this at ***. Thank you.

Company fails to respond to information requests. Their bill payment options are a joke and are nearly impossible to find online. It took 10 months to receive my first bill! I do not recommend doing business with this company!

Absolutely the worst experience in a lifetime. This company is full of liars and crooks. I am currently financing a pool with Aqua Finance. From the initial contact with a representative, I referred to a blurb on the paperwork that spoke about liens. I clearly asked two to three times about this before I signed the documents. I was consistently told that this does not apply to me.
Low and behold one year later, I find that this pool financing company has placed a lien on my home. I SPECIFICALLY said if this was the case, that I did NOT wish to go through the process. I think it's trickery to do this to customers. At least be honest!!! Loan seekers beware. I can't stand when organizations LIE to get your business.

On August 15, 2006, my husband (now my ex) and I purchased a whole-house water treatment system from Aqua Finance using an Aqua Finance credit card (unsecured loan). For the duration of the loan, we never missed a payment ($120 per month) or made a late payment. In June 2012, I was forced to file chapter 13 bankruptcy. When my bankruptcy attorney and I reviewed my assets, the Aqua Finance loan showed up as an unsecured loan.

In June 2019, my current husband and I began the process of refinancing our mortgage. All the paperwork was in order, and a closing date was set. One week before closing, the title company informed me that there was a lien on my house from Aqua Finance. I received a copy of the lien, and it was filed December 28, 2011, six months before I filed bankruptcy and during a time when I was consistently making my monthly payment. My bankruptcy was discharged in January 2016, and in November 2016, Aqua Finance filed a continuation of the original lien that was close to its five-year expiration date.
At no time during the prior eight years was I ever informed that Aqua Finance put a lien on my house. This lien was only discovered because of the refinance process. Had my husband and I not decided to refinance, this lien never would have been discovered, and it would have just kept being continued and accruing interest.

I called Aqua Finance to discuss this lien and was told that my loan was a secured loan. When I disputed this fact, I was referred to clause 22 of my contract. I still have a copy of my signed, original contract, which I will gladly provide, and it only has twenty-one clauses. Nowhere in any of the twenty-one clauses does is state that Aqua Finance can file a lien against me or my property. I told Aqua Finance to come take the water softener system, but I was informed that it’s a permanent fixture of the house. That statement contradicts what I was told by Aqua Finance at the time of purchase: that the system could be disassembled by an Aqua Finance representative and taken with me whenever I decided to move. The system’s installer also verified the accuracy of that statement at the time of installation.

Aqua Finance referred me to Quantum3Group, the lienholder. A representative from Quantum3Group told me that the remaining loan balance was $2,653.62 but that Aqua Finance may add interest to that amount. Quantum3Group sent my bank a payoff letter for the lien in order for my refinance closing to proceed, and because of the lien I was never informed about, I now owe Aqua Finance $5,800. The water softener system cost $5,990 at the time of purchase, and I had already paid $8,400 in principal and interest before I filed bankruptcy. Aqua Finance refuses to work with me, and I refuse to pay over $14,000 for a $5,990 system.

Even though I am not liable for the balance of this lien because it was an unsecured loan in my bankruptcy, and the lien was filed in my ex-husband’s name, my refinance closing cannot proceed because the lien has been filed on my house, and my ex-husband’s name is still on the house. Also, nobody has been able to answer my question of how Aqua Finance was able to place a lien on my property when the loan was an unsecured loan, and I had never missed a payment or made a late payment.

Aqua Finance Response • Aug 15, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms.. We have investigated and offer our findings:
On 6/22/12, *** filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy case; codebtor on the account did not file bankruptcy; On 6/17/2012, Aqua Finance placed the account with Quantum3 Group, LLC to service the account due to the bankruptcy; On 6/22/2012, Ms. filed a chapter 13 plan explicitly abandoning and surrendering her interest in the Aqua lien with no payments to be made toward the secured debt; On 7/27/2012, Aqua filed a fully secured proof of claim, explicitly informing both the debtor (Ms.) and her attorney that the debt is secured by UCC fixture lien upon the house; Even though, both Ms. and her attorney were informed that the lien is a fixture lien attached to the real property, neither of them amended the chapter 13 plan to provide for any treatment; Since the plan failed to provide for any payment on the lien and instead stated that the debtor surrendered all interest in the lien (i.e. would not oppose the enforcement of the lien), the trustee made no payments per the final report on 2/25/2016; Ms. received her discharge on 1/29/2016; however, it explicitly states on the first page of the order “[h]owever, a creditor with a lien may enforce a claim against a debtors’ property subject to that lien.”
All the applicable public bankruptcy records are attached. The debtor should have treated it in the plan to have it paid, but she chose not to do this 7 years ago. It is inconsistent to abandon all interest in the lien but then oppose for the lien to be paid in a sale of the house. Thank you. If Ms. has any further questions she may contact Aqua Finance at 1-800-234-3663 or Quantum 3 Group.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Aqua Finance filed the proof of claim on July 27, 2012; however, Aqua Finance filed the UCC lien on December 28, 2011 (included in Aqua Finance's response), six months before I filed bankruptcy. Again, how can a lien be filed against my property six months before I filed bankruptcy when I had never missed a payment or made a late payment? Of course, this point was conveniently ignored in Aqua Finance's response to my complaint.

Also, the proof of claim dated July 27, 2012, that Aqua Finance claims to have sent to me and my bankruptcy attorney was never received by either of us. Had it been received, obviously, the remainder of my loan would have been included in my bankruptcy filing when my attorney and I reviewed my assets and liabilities.

Finally, when I signed the contract to purchase the water system, the loan was a line of credit, not a secured loan. I understand that filing a UCC lien automatically converts the line of credit to a secured loan. However, I was Never notified that a UCC lien was filed against my property, nor did my bankruptcy attorney uncover the UCC lien at the time of my bankruptcy filing.

Regards,

***-

Aqua Finance Response • Sep 03, 2019

Aqua Finance maintains the position that the lien was properly filed as outlined in the contract. These documents were submitted through the bankruptcy process. As indicated in the contract we granted a security interest and the lien does not have to be filed due to bankruptcy as stated in the complaint. The loan was never represented as an unsecured loan as she states. If she has questions surrounding documents received at the time of bankruptcy, we recommend she contact her attorney. Thank you.

I do not have a signed contract with Aqua, I signed all my paperwork through Bay Finance when I purchased my purifier. About 2 months after I signed my papers with Bay I begin receiving all sorts of papers from Aqua and Connexus---I have continued to make my payments to Bay since I never signed or returned any of the things they sent me. I am now showing 2 closed accounts on my credit report for Bay and Connexus and an open account with Aqua. I have already paid over $1000 towards my loan but it is only showing I have paid approximately $500. The billing statements that come every month has a different payment amount and balance. I do not have a binding contract with Aqua and if Bay has "sold" my account without me agreeing to the terms and conditions on a new contract I do not feel I owe Aqua or Bay anything.

Aqua Finance Response • Jul 30, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms.. We have investigated her claims and offer our findings below. We hope this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter. Ms. states she has no agreement with Aqua Finance. On April 3, 2018 a letter was mailed to her notifying that Aqua Finance, Inc. had sold her loan to Bay Finance Company. On April 5, 2018, Bay Finance Company sold her loan to Connexus Credit Union. On May 31, 2018 a letter was mailed her notifying her that Aqua Finance, Inc. had purchased her loan back from Connexus Credit Union, where it has remained since that time. We certainly understand this can be confusing and do apologize for that. As required by law, Ms. was notified in writing when her loan was sold. She should only have one open account on her credit report with Aqua Finance, Inc. If she is showing more than one open loan – we request that she file a dispute through the Credit Bureaus and we will correct this error immediately. Additionally, Ms. states her account is showing she has paid only $500.00. This is incorrect and Ms. has paid over $1,300.00 and I am attaching a detailed payment history to show that. Additionally, I have attached a copy of the credit application signed by Ms. that states her loan maybe further assigned upon purchase. We apologize sincerely for the confusion caused and hope we have clarified this matter. If she has any further questions, she may contact our office at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

I have contacted Bailey Carrier Capital and no applications were filed with them. The application was done with Financing USA who also cannot proof my signature or authorization on any applications. Aqua Finance is in receipt of the rebuttal filed by Ms.. Since June 24, 2019 Ms. has sent Aqua Finance 3 emails, two letters, a complaint with a Revdex.com, a complaint with the state of New York and a complaint with the CFPB regarding the credit inquiry from May 24, 2019. Aqua Finance received the application for Ms. directly from Baily Carrier Capital who works with the financing USA company online. Could Ms. provide the information of the person she spoke with at Bailey Carrier Capital or something in writing from them to show they do not have an application for her? Additionally, as previously stated, if she believes her ex-husband stole her identity, we ask that she file a police report and provide us with a copy of this report. Thank you.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The original application was done with My Financing USA. I spoke with Kim Kannapel who assured me that everyone who received my information would be notified. The police have been made aware of the situation but I was told that I have no "proof" that it was done by my ex.

Regards

They have repeatedly called almost every 30 minutes every day after being 1 day late on our bill. At one point they called my phone at the same time that they were on the phone with my husband. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Then they get upset because I won't verify my information over the phone. I can't verify who they are any more than they can verify who I am. With all the scams going on out there, one should understand why a person wouldn't want to give their information readily over the phone.

Aqua Finance Response • Jul 01, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mrs.. We take these and all complaints seriously and have investigated her concerns. We are thankful for customers like Mrs. for bringing these matters to our attention and hope this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter. Our standard policy is to contact customers when their loan becomes 5 days past due as a courtesy reminder regarding the outstanding payment. We have since corrected this error and going forward, Mrs. will not receive any calls on unless her loan becomes 30 days past due as she requested. We sincerely apologize for this confusion and appreciate her contacting us regarding this matter. If she has any further questions, we welcome her contact us at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

I filed a previous complaint against this company with the Revdex.com previously about two weeks back, I desired that the company aqua finance fulfilled the agreement stated on our contractual agreement that states I have a deferment of 90 days. After you got in contact with them and they realized their mistake they agreed to change the date to the correct date, it has been two weeks since they relayed that message to the Revdex.com, nothing has changed as my due date is still the same. They are misleading and fraudulent in their agreement to change what they said they would honor. Tomorrow is when they plan to bill me still on my online statement when it should be in August. They do not answer phone calls or reply to emails, they have not contacted me back since the first complaint nor changed my online statement. I guarantee they are trying to collect late fees and penalize me to collect more money. Katie K is the name of the person in charge and she is unreachable through her extension and email. This is the previous statement by Aqua Finance on the situation, “Aqua finance is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mrs. V. We have investigated her claim and offer our findings. Mrs. V was correct that she was to be offered a 3 month deferred promotion on her loan with Aqua Finance, Inc. When her loan was processed in our system, an error was made and it did not correctly reflect the deferred payments. We have corrected the error and the 3 month deferment will be reflected on her next billing statement. Her first payment will be due on August 13, 2019 as stated on her contract. We sincerely apologize for this error and thank Mrs. V for bringing this to our attention. If she has any further questions, she may contact our office at ***. Thank you.“
They have not resolved or corrected anything on my statement as it still reflects a due date of tomorrow, not August. Aqua finance and Katie are lying and are not true to their word as it has been two weeks since she sent that message. Any attempts to contact her like she said have done nowhere. This why I am filling a second complaint as to avoid getting charged anything I shouldn’t be getting charged. If they wish to find out more they can contact me at the email provided or Katie can actually listen to her voicemails and find my call where my husband called her and left our phone number.

Aqua Finance, Inc. responded to this complaint on 5/30/2019 with an explanation of the error caused and that it was fixed. I received a follow up email yesterday through the Revdex.com from a family member of Enna V. Due to privacy reasons, we can't release info to a third party without authorization. The adjustment was made on 5/30/2019. The next billing cycle has not calculated yet and a bill will not be generated until June 21, 2019. You will receive this billing statement in the mail before the end of June and it will reflect that no payments are due until August 13, 2019 as stated in the previous response. If Mr. or Mrs. V have any questions prior to receiving their billing statement, they are welcome to contact us at ***. Thank you.

All of these reviews saying this company is a scam are inaccurate. Anything to do with the pricing of the project or sales has nothing to do with Aqua, that is all by the companies that are selling the equipment. Aqua finance literally only gives the sales companies the money while they collect the payments from you.
Their website does need to be updated. And there often are fees for paying online or by phone. however you can sign up for autopay and there would be no fee.
Leins are only put on the home if you fall behind on your loan (which is understandable because they need their money back)
As long as you know these things, and read the paperwork you sign, Aqua doesnt change anything up on customers to be "taken advantage of". its just that people that have complaints are far more likely to post on here.
As for inquiries, they have no control over taking them off because as soon as you give a sales rep from another company your information, Aqua is no longer liable because how are they supposed to know your intentions with the sales rep calling?
Read your documents, understand what youre signing, and Aqua Finance does what it's intended for.

I had a contract with We R Baths to remodel out shower. The greed terms was 12, 24 or 36 months "INTEREST FREE" We get the payment contract AFTER the work was completed. The payments were calculated at 12 months. The payment amount was $636.80. This INCLUDED Interest at 13.99% per month during the 12 month payment period. We I inquired as to why the payments were not $589.83 X 12 months, I was told that the company HAD to include interest UP FRONT and adjust the payments at the end of the payment period. I informed the agent Sandy that this was not inline with other promotions that I have enjoyed. INTEREST FREE, not interest charged and REBATED.

I feel that this this a unfair promotional procedure and should be outlawed. Interest Free is Free. Most interest free promotions do not include interest in the payments. Interest is charged only if the agreed principal (original amount ) is not paid in full by the agreed last payment date. Increased (Accrued) interest charges assessed during a FREE interest period is wrong.

I recently got a water softener with Triple A American Water who finances through Aqua Finance. The terms on the copy of my contractual agreement with them states that I have a deferment for 90 days of the agreement date, but aqua finance states on their billing that our payment is due this month. I did not receive any notice of change to the policy, as when verified with the original company who sold me the system they assured that it was deferred. We have tried to contact Katie S at Aqua and her phone extension always goes to voicemail. I have the contract and proof that’s the same as the office that wrote the contract that states in writing we have the deferment. I would like aqua to resolve this and defer it for 90 days like agreed upon in the original contract.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Here shows a copy of the bill summary still stating A due date of June 13, 2019. Nothing has been changed, the deferment does not reflect the statement that aqua finance is showing. If this was to reflect on my credit after this date and is not resolve I may resort to legal action for fraudulent practice. Also my name is Enna V, not Emma.

Clicked on company link to make a payment online. Now realized payment was routed to a third party payer (doxo) not authorized by Aqua. I spoke to manager at Aqua and he advised they have received numerous customer calls complaining. I requested he report to his manager to put some safe guards in place or have their lawyer/database experts to protect the customer. The security around their website is weak and they are a soft target. The manager had a nonchalant ATTITUDE and told me to be careful. WHAT??? They now have my credit card information!

Aqua Finance Response • May 21, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. has no affiliation with DOXO. We have sent them numerous cease and desists from our Attorneys and unfortunately do not have control over what they continue to do. We sincerely apologize that our level of customer service did not meet your expectations. We urge you to make your payment through our website at www.aquafinance.com or contact us at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

Aqua Finance duplicated my loan on my credit report. I noticed on my credit report that my score had gone down due to Aqua duplicating my loan.
I have tried many times to get in touch with them with no success. I have left many voicemails with no return call.

Aqua Finance Response • May 23, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. S. We take his and all complaints seriously and have conducted an investigation. We offer our findings below. We hope this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter.

Our records show that Mr. S called our office on May 15, 2019. We indicated that his loan was showing as one open trade on the credit report and if he felt this was showing up differently, we recommended he contact Credit Karma or TransUnion. We believe what Mr. S may be seeing on his report is an initial trade from Aqua Finance, Inc. which was then closed because his loan was sold to CCF Bank and then an additional open trade with CCF Bank showing his active loan. We do not show two different open loans on his credit report. IF Mr. S has evidence to support his claim, I would ask that he email the documentation to us at *** and we will review.

If he has any further questions, we welcome him to contact our office at ***. Thank you.

Paradise home improvement sold me a walk in tub in Jan of 2018. I had ankle surgery and was on pain medication and a guy I hired to install handicap bars on tub left the salesman walked up. He said I could get the tub after placing a phone call for $240 per month and no interest for six months. Under those terms I said ok. Once pain medication ended I looked at the paper work. I called Aqua finance they said same terms and when I said the $240 the lady paused and said yes. I asked if there was a lien on the property she said no but could get one if need be. I had no choice but to file for bankruptcy being on disability there was no way I could be qualified for the loan. Debt to income ratio.
2. Tub causing pain as door opens in and handle sits on leg which has never damage.
3. Paradise did not pull a permit and no GFCI was installed on the tub for power near water and no breaker upgrade for power.
4. Aqua sent the first bill after I had filed saying min payment over $600.00
That bill stated If I was not satisfied I could contact them to make it right. I recently contacted them but was told that it was sent to another dept as bankruptcy was involved.
and finally the terms from Aqua and bill were verbal only and the form I signed while under influence of pain medication no where did it say $240.00 per month . Verbal only.
Note I could not use the tub fully due to a cast on my leg from knee to toe.

This loan is not owned by MBC Investments, LLC and MBC Investments, LLC is unable to respond. We recommend MR. contact Aqua Finance, Inc. who does own his loan with any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Aqua Finance Response • May 29, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. Curlee. We have investigated his claims and offer our findings. On January 11, 2018, Mr. signed a Retail Installment Credit Agreement for a bathtub through Paradise Home Improvement in the amount of $20,489.00. This was financed through Aqua Finance, Inc. The same day, we contacted Mr. to do a “pre-loan verification” to ensure he was ready to proceed with project and that he understood the terms of his loan. He agreed to the terms of the loan and confirmed he wanted to proceed with the installation of the tub. This call was recorded and can be furnished upon request. The following day, Mr. called Aqua Finance to inquire about the installation date and was concerned that they had not scheduled the project yet. We advised him it generally takes 24-48 hours to set this up and to contact Paradise Home Improvement as we the finance company, do not schedule the installation. On January 17, 2018 we received a signed Loan Completion Certification confirming the project was completed and we contacted Mr. to verify this. He stated the work was not complete and there was a leak in the tub. We advised him we would not be proceeding until this was resolved. On January 22, 2018 Mr. called Aqua Finance to verify the project was done, the tub was installed to his satisfaction and he attested to the terms of the loan and the first payment due date. On March 20, 2018, Mr. called Aqua Finance to ensure he understood the terms of his loan. We advised him again that his monthly payment will be $246.00 with a first payment due on 7/15/2018. He inquired about billing statements and we told him he would receive a monthly statement.

On May 2, 2018 Aqua Finance, Inc. was notified that Mr. had filed bankruptcy and no further action was taken. On June 27, 2018 Mr. called our office and asked why his payments and loan wasn’t showing up on his credit. He wanted it to reflect that payments were made, despite no payments being made on his loan.

We have repeatedly responded to credit disputes from Mr. and responded showing that his loan is in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy with a zero-balance due. We are unsure what else, as the finance company we can do. If he has further questions, we would encourage him to contact his attorney.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

It is showing under chapter 13 now however the terms in disclosure weren't accurate as no where in writing did it say $247 per month furthermore the first bill I got after filing chapter 13 was over $600...

I financed a roof threw this company 12 month no interest my 12 month was coming up I thought it had a 10 day grace period to pay it was due on 5/2/19 I missed it by one day I called on 5/3/2019 to pay of balance they are charging me over 1000 dollars in interest for one day I think is crazy and unfair

Aqua Finance Response • May 13, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. We have investigated his complaint and offer our findings below.

Mr. obtained a loan for a new roof from Aqua Finance, Inc. on March 29, 2018, and was offered a 12 month same as cash promotion. The roof was completed on May 2, 2018, and interest was deferred through May 2, 2019. The billing statement he received in April 2019 indicated that his promotion was ending and he had until May 2, 2019, to pay off without accruing the 12 months worth of interest. He contacted our office on 5/3/2019 and we advised him the promotion ended the day before, thus all interest from the state the roof was completed was due. He asked if we could extend the promotion so he could pay it off interest-free. After speaking with several different managers in our office. We agreed to waive $500.00 of interest that had accrued as a courtesy to Mr.. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but value him as a customer and hope this response brings closure to this matter. If he has any further questions, we welcome him to contact our office at 1-800-234-3663. Thank you.

Good day,
This will be our 3rd Summer coming, when we put New Windows on our Home I say we because My Sister Maxine P and myself bought the Home
and are both on this Particular Loan.. Here is what we are thinking is WRONG.. So Far we are not much farther in Paying for the Windows 7000.00
than when we had the installed.. I called Aqua Finance numerous time to see why this Balance is staying the same month after month.. We can only pay
the Payment due so some of this seems credible... The Monthly Payment is 99.00. and that is what we been paying, However we wanted to see what
would happen, so last Month we submitted 160.00.. We got the Bill today and they still Charged us 40.00 in Interest. They are charging an outrageus
interest Rate DAILY 27.1.. We are just unable to make Headway with these People. Just does not seem fair to us.. Tunderland sold and installed the windows , and right from the get go we thought we were going to be paying them for the windows.... I'm so SICK of being taken advantage of and would Love to have you look into this.. I probably am Hitting a Brick wall here.. Were both on Fixed Incomes, and need to put more Money into this Place... Thanks in advance for at least reading this complaint.....

Aqua Finance Response • May 29, 2019

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed with the Revdex.com. We take these and all claims very seriouslyand have conducted an investigation in to your account. We offer our findings below and hope this response provides clarity andbrings closure to this matter.

On April 24, 2017 Mr. M signed a Retail Installment Credit Agreement for five windows in the amount of $7,849.00. Hereceived a promotion of an interest rate reduction of 7.9% and a monthly payment factor of 1.25% of the amount financed ($92.00).I have included the Revolving Credit Agreement which outlines how interest is calculated. I have also included a detailed Statementof Account showing the breakdown of principal and interest. For example – the last payment received by Mr. M was in twochecks; one for $100.00 and one for $60.00. Of the $160.00, $122.18 was applied to principal and $37.81 was applied to interest. His per diem (daily interest charge) right now is approximately $1.27. This is calculated by taking the APR 7.9% by the currentbalance and then divided by 365 (days in a year). If Mr. M makes his payment every 30 days, he can expect to payapproximately $38.00 per month in interest. This of course will decrease as he pays down his total balance. To date, Mr. Mhas paid $2,468.00 of which $1,447.00 has been applied to principal and $1,020.55 has been applied to interest.

We sincerely hope the attached documentation provides a clear and detailed explanation of the accurate finance calculations andapplication of payments. If Mr. M has any further questions, we welcome him to contact our office at ***. Thankyou.
