Aqua Finance Reviews (%countItem)

I sold my home in 2017. I had purchased a Solar Water Heater from State Energy Conservation in FL. Aqua Finance Corp had a lien on my home in Florida. When I sold my home they did nothing about the lien. Connexus Credit Union notified me that I owed them for the Water Heater; that I had a Savings Account with them and that I should pay them. I knew nothing about this. I opened no Account with them. I had paid all payments to Aqua Finance Corp. I many times contacted them and Aqua FC that they should claim (pick up) the Water Heater that I would not pay for the Water Heater. It did not belong to me. They replied that it belonged to me and I had to pay and it was too far for them to pick up. They say I should pick up the Heater, which is illegal as it is attached to the home. They now keep reporting me through the Credit Bureau and has ruined my credit. They do not take me to Court as they did not use the lien when they could. I did file reports to Credit Bureaus and Transunion keeps taking their reports. I filed with CFPB, which is not for the Consumer. They sent an answer, a letter they had replied to me, so CFPB said they received an answer and that is all they could do. They get a reply, no matter what the answer is and they close the complaint. They are not concerned about the matter of the consumer.

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed with the Better Businsess Bureau. We take your concerns seriously and haveinvestigated your claims. We take these and all complaints seriously and offer the following findings below. We hope thisexplanation will provide clarity and bring closure to this matter. On January 11, 2015 you signed a Retail Installment Credit Agreement for a Solar Water Heater in the amount of $8,495.00. Inaccordance with the terms of your contract, you had until January 14, 2015 to cancel this transaction. On January 17, 2015 a call wasplaced to you to verify the details of your loan and confirm your satisfaction with the product sold to you. On that call you statedthat you did not agree to the interest rate on your contract. On January 28, 2015 you called our office and asked that we review theterms of your loan with you because they were unclear. We reviewed the terms of your loan and you agreed to proceed with thefinancing for your Solar Water Heater. On February 3, 2015 you contacted our office requesting to cancel the contract. We informed you that you were unfortunately unableto do so as the Three-Day Right to Cancel period had expired on January 14, 2018. On February 12, 2015 you called our office withquestions surrounding setting up payments on our online billing site. We provided you with the information and you asked to be setup on monthly automatic withdrawal payments. This call was recorded, and you agreed to monthly payments for the 1" of eachmonth starting March 1, 2015 with the bank account ending in 5420.On September 25, 2015 you called our office with concerns that a payment in the amount of $150.00 had been withdrawn from yourbank account on September 14, 2015. We stated that Aqua Finance, Inc. did not withdrawal that payment and recommended thatyou contact your bank. On October 31, 2016 you called our office and stated that you were switching banks and requested that theautomatic withdrawal payments be stopped. You agreed to make a payment via Mastercard ending in 8838 in the amount of$128.00. You made several more payments using the same Mastercard on the following dates: 12/5/2016, 2/3/2017, 2/6/2017,3/1/2017, 4/4/2017, 5/3/2017, 6/8/207, 7/3/2017 and 8/3/2017.On September 11, 2017 a representative from Aqua Finance, Inc. contacted you regarding an outstanding payment. You indicatedthat you were no longer responsible for these payments as you sold your home. While we certainly empathize with your situation, the sale of your home has no bearing on the legitimacy of your loan for the Solar Water Heater. Ms., Aqua Finance FBOConnexus Credit Union has support to show that you did sign a legally binding contract and made payments for almost three years onyour loan.Lastly in your letter you question the savings account with Connexus Credit Union. Aqua Finance works with Con nexus Credit Union as alending partner. When your loan was purchased from Home Energy Conservation, it was subsequently sold to Con nexus Credit

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is the same letter original dated March 27, 1918 to me (see copy). They need to reply to my complaint which this is not. They have collateral for the Solar Water Heater which is in the contract, which they have not claimed. They had a lien on the property, which they did not collect. I do not owe for the solar water heater. If they have a claim against me they would have taken me to the court which they would have done. They need to do their part.. I expect them to take their name off my Credit Report as I owe them nothing. They just keep talking about payments made in all their letters. Yes I know about them. I talked to them so many, many times about selling my home and about the lien, which they in turn lifted. That was not my problem, but theirs. They kept giving me excuses, I had to have an attorney to contact them to stop the phone calls. They did not want to collect the collateral as Florida was too far away they said. I wish my Credit Report Cleared. This has been a hard thing for me for the, very stressful and my age, not in good health. Wish they would just take care of this. I have never had such a problem before with anyone.

Aqua Finance is engaged in predatory lending and is charging abusive interest rates. I'm a poor active duty veteran and reservist and can't afford to be charged their rates. I've reached out to the company to seek a resolution and they have thus far not done anything.

Aqua Finance Response • Sep 04, 2018

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. On June 25, 2018 Mr. sent an email to Aqua Finance requesting his interest rate be reduced in accordance with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. He provided us with an itinerary showing that he would be traveling oversees, but we did not receive copies of any orders showing Active Duty. Additionally an Active Duty Verification Search was completed on the SCRA government website and we were unable to verify his Active Military Status. If Mr. has been called up to Active Duty and can provide orders attesting to this, we will be happy to adjust his rate. He can e-mail these documents to ***. If he has any further questions, he can contact our office. Thank you.

When I applied for this account I provided to the water softener dealer all the info needed to have payments auto withdrawn from my checking account. However, my payment was never taken out and the company started harassing phone calls 5 days after my first payment was due. I was surprised and angry that my payments had not been auto withdrawn as I had set them up to be, and that I was being harassed as if I was some sort of derelict. I provided my personal banking information again over the phone and asked that the payments be taken out automatically on the first of the month. (Coincidentally, hours after providing this info, that info was used by an identity thief to try to use my account so I ended up having to cancel that card). The next month, I called back and provided the new card info, but they apparently did not record the new info because in the subsequent months the company continued to try to charge my old card. I called again to provide the new info again and assumed we were good to go. However, the same thing happened last month (July) resulting in a late payment. As soon as I discovered it I paid, and paid the next month (August) as well, but the company reported me to the credit bureau as paying late. I attempted to call to discuss this and requested a manager to discuss this with, and ultimately the manager refused to speak with me. I work very hard and support 4 kids, plus 2 more that are not mine and I do not want my credit destroyed over a $43 late payment when this was an issue I have tried to fix for months. I have good credit and will not take this mistake on their end laying down. This is ridiculous. I do not want to file a lawsuit, but I will be forced to if this is not corrected. I have tried for months to correct this and it is their record keeping that is problematic and resulted in this error. Based on the reviews of this company I am not the only person who has had issues. They need to start treating customers respectfully and make sure they are resolving issues the first time.

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms.. We take these and all complaints seriously and have investigated this matter. We empathize with her frustrations and hope that this response provides clarity and brings closure to this matter.

On January 26, 2018, Ms. signed a Revolving Credit Agreement for a Culligan Water Treatment System. Her first payment was due March 1, 2018. On March 15, 2018 a call was placed to Ms. because her first payment had not been received yet. She indicated that she had provided her auto payment withdrawal information to Culligan. We apologized and told her that it had not been received and we offered to waive the late fee due to the inconvenience. She authorized the representative to set up automatic payments fir the first of every month starting April 1, 2018. The April 1, 2018 was processed and cleared the same day. On May 1, 2018 the payment for 42.00 was returned as declined. Attempts to contact Ms. regarding the returned payment were made on 5/1/2018, 5/8/2018 and contact was made with her on 5/14/2018. When we called her on 5/14/2018, contact was made, and she set up payment using the same credit/debit card as previously used. The payment posted and cleared the following day. On 6/1/2018 a payment was withdrawn via auto pay using the same credit/debit card as well. On July 2, 2018 the auto payment was declined. A message was left for Ms. on 7/2/2018 to return our phone call and call attempts were made on the following days: 7/11/2018, 7/13/2018, 7/16/2018, 7/17/2018, 7/18/2018, 7/19/2018, 7/20/18, 7/21/2018, 7/23/18, 7/24/2018, 7/25/2018, 7/26/2018, 7/30/2018 and 7/31/2018.

On 8/2/2018 Ms. set up a payment in the amount of $86.00 using our online billing portal. On 8/7/2018, Ms. contacted our office and requested to speak to a manager. She indicated that she had previously provided her payment info to Culligan and the manager she spoke with explained that we had attempted to call regarding the returned payment. She requested that the negative information be removed from her credit report and we told her unfortunately we could not do that. Aqua Finance has an obligation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to accurately report information. If Ms. wishes to reinstate the auto pay on her account, we ask that she do so using the online billing portal or contact our office, so we may confirm which account she would like the payment withdrawn from. Aqua Finance would like to apologize to Ms. for any inconvenience caused. We believe that we made reasonable attempts to contact her regarding the outstanding payment. If Ms. would like to discuss further, she may contact our office at . Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have phone records to prove those numerous messages Aquafinance claims they made, were never actually made. I can also show all the calls that I in fact made in an attempt to resolve this matter. Aquafinance absolutely never left messages on those dates and they know it. They will have to prove in court that they actually made those call attempts, with actually phone records, as opposed to just logging them in a phony call center record. Aquafinaice has a horrible reputation in doing this to people and I am one of many, many people making complaints against them. I had excellent credit up until this ridiculous farce of a situation with this reporting of a "late pay" on a $43 charge, whereas this company has a terrible reputation. They are the ones in the wrong and instead of taking care of a customer they are attacking me, causing financial problems by erroneously reporting information, and refusing to own up to a mistake they made. I have the proof to show all of this and my husband is currently deciding whether we want to pursue a class action law suit, or just go after them for what they have done to me. It will be one or the other.

As far as your duties under "Fair credit reporting" you have an absolutely bdized understanding of this law. This law exists to protect consumers, not to protect shady creditors such as yourselves.

Aqua Finance, Inc. empathizes with Ms. concerns outlined in her response. I would like to clarify that in our initial response we stated that call attempts were made on those dates. That does not mean messages were left however we have evidence to support calls were made. Aqua Finance maintains strict phone records and calls are recorded. At this time we are unable to remove the adverse information she is requesting from the Credit Bureau based on the information provided in our previous response. If she has any further questions, she may contact our office at . Thank you.

WORST Finance Company EVER. Sent payoff from my bank, two weeks later still no update or posting they had received it. I knew that small amount was going to be owed due to accrued interest. Kept looking online everyday to see when payoff posted to make final payment. Nothing ever posted. I call in to speak to customer service they inform me they received the payment four days earlier and that because it was not done online it would never show. I still made the regular payment because I was unaware that they received anything, now I am over paid which is fine but could of been avoided had they updated my account. Now the refund wont be issued for another six to eight weeks.
poor customer service, poor notification, poor account updates. AVOID if you can!

The interest rate continue to increase although the principal balance goes down. They are scamming me monthly, My monthly payments are $128 initial amount of loan was $7054.52, I made a payment of $260 for statement date 2/27/18 and due on 3/16/18, $195.41 went to the principal and $64.59 went to interest. Statement date 6/26/18 due on 7/16/18 balance on account $5902.23 payment made of $300 in which $233.54 went to principal and $66.46 went to interest. once my monthly payment is paid anything that I pay over is supposed to go to the principal but they are continuing to take out more for interest every month and they are pre-billing interest on my statements. If my monthly principal is going down then why is my interest going up, furthermore there has been times where I have made multiple payments in a month and interest was taken out of every single payment, why?

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by ***. We hope the supporting documentation and this response will provide clarity to the concerns outlined in her complaint. On January 24, 2018, Ms. obtained a loan in the amount of $6,980.00 for $126.97 per month for 84 months. As a simple interest loan - there is a per diem; which means interest accrues daily. Interest is not pre-billed. As shown on the payment history attached to this response, Ms. had been making payments at various amounts through out the month ranging from $10.00 to $300.00. Because she is spacing these payments out during the month, interest will continue to accrue. Interest began accruing the date the contract was signed on January 24, 2018. Ms. made her first payment on March 12, 2018. This means that she incurred 47 days’ worth of interest, thus $64.59 being applied to interest.

We hope the attached statement can clarify her concerns. Unfortunately, at this time our website can only update her balance monthly. If she wishes to receive more timely updates, she is welcome to contact our office any time at . Thank you.

AQUA FINANCE INC FBO CONNEXUS CREDIT UNION currently has a lien on my property and they refuse to remove it. In the month of October 2017, I was laid of from work. Unfortunately, I fell behind on a couple of monthly payments in the amount of $111. I spoke with AQUA FINANCE to make them aware of my loss of work. I requested payment extensions and/or some form of payment deferment, but they were not understanding to the situation. Needless, to say AQUA FINANCE deemed my account status as delinquent and began reporting me and my wife to the credit bureau impacting our FICA scores. Their business practices seem illegal, short of strong arming someone to pay up. They do not care about their customers. I am now caught up with my payments toward my AQUA FINANCE account, however, again they refuse to remove the lien. Furthermore, the Rainsoft product they finance claim to have clean water filtering through the house and smooth out dried out skin. However, my wife's skin is still dry and crackling. Also, the "cleaning" products Rainsoft provides doesn't clean. Instead, they make the clothes smelly and unusable. At this point, I would request for AQUA FINANCE to stop reporting me and my wife to the credit bureau as delinquent, plus remove the lien on my property. Lastly, the equipment is not functioning as advertised according to the contractual agreement, therefore, I'm requesting to remove the equipment as I no longer want it.

Desired Resolution:
Refund
Correction to a credit report

Aqua Finance Response • Jul 10, 2018

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr.. We have investigated his claims and offer the following findings. Mr. purchased a Rainsoft Water Treatment System in May 2017. On October 9, 2017 Mr. contacted our office regarding his payment. He asked on this call if one payment could be deferred. An Account Representative explained that yes, we were able to do a one-month deferral, but he would need to set up auto pay as that is a requirement of processing the deferral. He stated that would not work for him and made a payment that day. Mr. is correct that UCC Fixture Filing Lien was filed in May 2018. In accordance with the terms of the contract, Aqua Finance is within our rights to perfect the security interest. This lien is terminated upon receipt of payment in full. We are unable to remove any adverse information reported to the credit bureaus as we have an obligation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to accurately report this information. Aqua Finance was unaware until the receipt of this complaint that Mr. was dissatisfied with the Water Treatment System. We would be happy to assist him in resolving these issues and can contact ***; the company who sold him the system, to set up a Service Call. We welcome the opportunity to resolve his concerns. The contract signed by Mr. states that he must have tried in good faith to correct the problem with the merchant. If he has contacted *** and has not been able to resolve this, Aqua Finance would like to assist in handling this complaint. Additionally, we will reach out to *** immediately to obtain service records on Mr.’s file. If he has any questions or wishes to discuss this matter further, he may contact our office at . Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

What resolution have they proposed?

"On October 9, 2017 Mr. contacted our office regarding his payment. He asked on this call if one payment could be deferred. An Account Representative explained that yes, we were able to do a one-month deferral, but he would need to set up auto pay as that is a requirement of processing the deferral. He stated that would not work for him and made a payment that day."--> I had made them aware that I was out of work due to a recent lay off, therefore, auto payments would not be an option for me.

"Mr. is correct that UCC Fixture Filing Lien was filed in May 2018. In accordance with the terms of the contract, Aqua Finance is within our rights to perfect the security interest. This lien is terminated upon receipt of payment in full." --> So, they will not remove the lien off my property until I pay off the loan that is over $7K which will take me years. It's my understanding that not even the banks that loan out money to purchase a car do that."We are unable to remove any adverse information reported to the credit bureaus as we have an obligation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to accurately report this information."--> This is false. Who do you think began reporting this to the credit bereau in the first place? They have some control."Aqua Finance was unaware until the receipt of this complaint that Mr. was dissatisfied with the Water Treatment System. If he has any questions or wishes to discuss this matter further, he may contact our office at ."--> This is false. Aqua Finance Inc FBO Connexus Credit Union is well aware of my dissatisfaction with the product and the business practice. I spoke with Paul (Financial person) from Rainsoft and he mentioned that there is nothing they can do. Also, I recently spoke with Rainsoft and they want to charge me $185 to change the filters. However, I was told by the sales person that the filters would be covered.

Aqua Finance Response • Jul 26, 2018

In response to Mr.’s rebuttal we would like to offer the following comments.

Mr. did inform us that he was out of work due to a lay off and a payment solution was presented to him which he declined. We recognize that due to his circumstances that he could not make payments via ACH, however that is a company requirement of the deferral. With respect to the UCC Fixture Filing lien; Mr. is correct that the lien will be removed when the loan is paid in full. I cannot speak for the procedures of how banks handle liens on cars. Aqua Finance reiterates that we are unable to remove any negative information from the credit bureau unless it was our error. If Mr. feels there was an error made with respect to the reporting of information on his account, we recommend he file a dispute with TransUnion, Equifax or Experian. With respect to the water treatment system, Aqua Finance has no record of Mr. expressing his dissatisfaction with the water treatment system. Paul at Rainsoft does not work for Aqua Finance, but again we would be happy to help Mr.. If he has documentation to support that he was to receive free filters I would welcome him to forward that to me directly and I will personally contact *** to arrange this. If Mr. has any other questions or concerns he may c ontact our office at . Thank you.

I purchased a water softener through Aqua Financing and ever since receiving a permanent change of station (PCS) with the Department of Defense, I cannot EVER get any Aqua Finance representative to return my phone call or respond to my e-mail(s) to set up re-installation at my new residence. My former residents that my equipment was set up in ***. The new residence is in the state of Virginia and my product at the old residence was boxed up by an Aqua Finance representative in August 2017. This means that for the past year I have been paying for this product, at total of $136.00 per month, for almost a year without being able to actually use it. There is no excuse to not be able to get someone on the phone or return your call in the event of leaving a message or respond to your numerous e-mail for price quote for re-installation.

Aqua Finance is in receipt of the complaint filed by ***. We have investigated his complaint and offer the following findings. On July 2, 2018 we contacted the dealership who sold *** the Water Treatment System. They indicated that they were called by *** on 8/31/2017 to disconnect the system and provide boxes and on 9/5/2017 they repaired a hole in the ceiling and wall from the removal. They also stated that it was now up to *** to contact them to re-install the system because they did not know where he was moving to and it may be out of their range. They recommended that *** go to www.rainsoft.com and type in his zipcode to find a qualified dealership in his area to reconnect the system. On July 3, 2018 *** contacted our office to provide his new address and inquired about having the system moved. On July 5,2 018 we received payment in full and ***'s account now has a zero balance and no further monies are owed. We value *** as a customer and apologize for any inconvenience that he has been caused. If he has any further questions or concerns, we welcome him to contact our office at . Thank you.

I wanted to get new windows for my old house in texas and *** set up a contract that specifically stated that my payments would be $42 a month (a set rate) with aquafinance. My payments are now $68 and they are charging me outrageous interest rates. I have been paying on this over years. I have contacted the company numerous times about this issue and have asked to speak to a manager and NOBODY ever returns my calls. First off, the window installation was NOT done properly at all there were huge gaps in the frame and you could see the outside from the inside of the home. *** NEVER fixed the issue and wouldn't return my calls. So, I have been trying to contact Aqua finance manager for over a year and no luck. I no longer live in Texas. When I moved to florida Aqua finance upped the monthly payments without notice and started charging me outrageous interest rates. I have been making payments, yet my principal amount never goes down! I am a single mother and an Iraq veteran. I don't appreciate how when I call this company I constantly get hung up on or "transferred" to the manager then the line is cut off. This is such . This company is scamming people out of their hard earned money. I try to pay on the principal amount and they won't let me. I make the monthly payments and it ALL goes to the interest charges!!!! The window job was not even done properly!!!!!! I was promised $42 payment for 3 years and now I look on the bill and they are saying I will have to pay for 5 years if I only pay the minimum. This company is scamming veterans and it's not fair.

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ashley ***. W We have investigated her complaint and offer the following findings. On August 25, 2015 Ms. signed a Retail Installment Credit Agreement to finance windows through ***. As part as her financing, she was offered a promotional rate and payment amount for the first 12 months. I have attached the signed Promotional Credit Plan Addendum that indicates Ms.’s interest rate would be 5.9% for the first 12 months and that in the 13th month, her rate would increase to 13.99%. Additionally, her payment was 1% of the amount financed for the first 12 months and would increase to 1.5% of the amount financed in the 13th month. As part of our standard procedure, a call was placed to Ms. on October 20, 2015 to verify the terms of her loan and to confirm she was satisfied with the product installed. Had there been any concerns or red flags, we would not have proceeded with funding her loan until all issues were resolved. Ms. attested to the terms of her loan, including the promotional interest/payment rate and stated the windows were installed and functioning properly. Aqua Finance, Inc. was not made aware of any concerns by Ms. surrounding the terms of her loan until December 28, 2016. She sent an email to her Account Representative questioning the increased payment and he explained to her via e-mail that she had a promotional rate. She then requested a pay-off amount on her loan and stated she was dissatisfied with the installation of the windows. We provided her with the current pay-off amount and the phone number to ***. She recently reached out to us requesting that a manager call her, but she had previously ceased us from contact on her only phone number that we were provided. We respectfully asked that she call our office and we would be happy to speak to her. To date, Ms. has paid $2,160.43 towards principal and $737,17 towards interest. Her current pay-off on her loan is $2,374.69. We value Ms. as a customer and thank her for her service to our country. IF she is experiencing a financial hardship or wishes to discuss options on her loan, we would be happy to assist her and welcome her to contact us at . Thank you.

I am awaiting response from Katie *** (Aqua Finance) she stated in an email sent today that she would "modify your loan to reduce the APE to the original rate and also reduce your payments to the 1% payment factor that it originally was when you obtained the loan." I agreed to this offer. I told her once there was proof this was actually done that I would drop the Revdex.com complaint.

Aqua Finance Response • Jun 04, 2018

Aqua Finance believes this matter has been resolved. As a gesture of good will to accommodate Ms., Aqua Finance has modified the terms of her loan, however it will not reflect until her next billing statement on June 25, 2018. At that time she will be able to see the changes. If she has any questions, she can contact me directly. Thank you.

Horrible finance company
Will not give payoff on account

This company was awful to deal with. They would call and harass us about payments and would pretend to not know that someone had called us nearly hours before! At one point, I had made a $5,000 payment, practically paying the entire unit off. The next month they acted like we did not pay anything until I showed them the scanned check image (thank goodness my bank does that) and still charged us a late payment fee, refusing to erase it! Perhaps their shoddy business practices worked because we paid this lone off as fast as we could just so we wouldn't have to deal with their rude and unfair business practices.

Overly aggressive collections. Absolutely horrible. They begin calling when you’re three business days past due. They call 3-5 times per day. Half the time they don’t say anything when I answer. We didn’t have a choice but to go through them for our water softener. But they are so bad. They don’t care why our $80 is 5 days overdue. They don’t care we had a baby and were in the hospital. They don’t care that payday is in 2 days. They’re seriously horrible. But we needed a water softener and didn’t have the ability to pay for it without financing.
They try everything in their power to schedule payment for you. But we pay it when the money comes in every time. They make us feel dumb for saying no to auto payments but insisting we will pay it on our own when the money comes in.
If you have another option besides Aqua Finance, I strongly recommend going with any other lender.

I paid off my loan for a water filtration system after my house burned down. I was late on payments because I was waiting for *** to send me the check. AF and I made an agreement I had to pay upfront a sum and then the remainder by 3/31/2018 and they would send me a letter that it was paid and I met my obligations with their company. as agreed upon once the insurance money was received. I paid and the letter never came. I waited 3 weeks and requested they send me that letter. After many hassles, I received some letter that had all the incorrect info on it and was very derogatory. I don't want my credit report to reflect derogatory info. I paid...what is the issue?

Aqua Finance Response • May 01, 2018

Aqua Finance, Inc. is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms.. We have reviewed her concerns and regret the confusion we have caused her. Ms. called our office on March 22, 2018 and made a payment of $4,654.00 to satisfy her loan. Our general policy is to wait ten business days to send a letter stating the loan has been paid in full and closed. Unfortunately, due to human error this letter was not generated until April 19, 2018. This letter was then mailed to her at the address provided. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused Ms. and appreciate her bringing this to our attention as it is an opportunity for us to improve our customer service. Additionally we have notified the credit bureaus that the loan was paid in full and closed. We value Ms. as a customer and again thank her for bringing this matter to our attention. If she has any additionally questions or concerns, she may contact our office at . Thank you.

If you ever want to have work done, but need to use a finance company first, DO NOT EVER consider this one. The are very rude and will not listen when you have a problem. I had a loan with them in which the first 3 months had been delayed, meaning I had a $0 balance until the 3rd month when the first payment would be due. They charged me interest on that $0 balance and then refused to remove it! Oh, and it took me well over a month to get someone to call me back even after repeated calls to various numbers which gave them more time to charge me even more interest. For the people out there who need a loan and don't want to be cheated out of your money, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY to deal with. This one will take you for every penny they think they can get.

If you are considering a water softener system and having it financed, take a moment to read this comment and all others for Aqua Finance. Even if you believe your loan to financed with another company like ***, it will eventually find it's way to Aqua Finance and you too will be apart of the statistic here for possibly the worst financial decision of your life. I will tell my story, but in short if you must finance your water system do it with your own bank or another lending company chosen by you. Do not use the company that the water softener company provides for financing.
I decided to get a water softener system from a company *** That company was very professional and did the install well. The financing began with a company ***, but was shortly sold to Aqua Finance within a month or two. I had never missed a payment or had any negative interactions with anyone until I asked for information on possibly transferring ownership of the water system for a buyer who requested the water system remain with my house that I was selling. Aqua Finance said that the account was non-transferable, and that most people add it in the cost of the home they are selling. The buyer did not want to purchase the system, so I decided to keep the system and move it to my new home. When it got down to the week before closing, the closing attorneys discovered that Aqua Finance had placed a Lien on the home the same month I called them to inquire about the transfer. When I called to get information as to why a lien was placed on the home when I was keeping the system, I spoke with a rude and mean-spirited woman in middle-management named "Heidi" who pretty much mocked me saying repeatedly "It's in your contract that a lien can be placed on your home at anytime". My closing has now been postponed and jeopardized because the equity that would have been used toward the down payment of my new home, now has to go to Aqua Finance to first sell the home. I had been paying on the system for about a year and intended to continue paying, but they put a lien against my home without any hesitation, or care of the negativity associated with having a lien. Even if the sell doesn't go through because of this, I now have a lien on my home and have never been 30 days late or anything to justify any negative reporting. Aqua Finance is the equivalent of you predatory Title Loan and Payday Advance loan for your home. It doesn't matter your credit score or payment history, they only care about how much and how fast they can collect money from you before they move on to the next unsuspecting person. I made payments a whole year before the lien was placed after my call. So if you are currently with them, "do not" give any personal information as far as your plans or anything unrelated to your monthly payment. Less is More when it comes to this company. By all means honor your commitment, but the less they know about you the better. Especially if you are considering selling your home. Just pay it off, or continue to make the payments. Don't call and ask for any information. Check the reviews here and you can probably figure out any question you might have. It's a shame that a company like Aqua Finance is associated with water softener systems. It really puts a bad taste in your mouth.

We really didn't have any complaints until we were moving to a new house/city. We had called aquafinance to ask about costs associated with doing the complete uninstall/reinstall and gave them our estimated relocation date. So instead of working with us (we were obviously keeping the filtration unit) they put a lien on our house. This interfered with our close date. So of course we called them and dealt with their exceptionally poor customer service who proceeded to tell us that we could not relocate the unit without first paying it off in its entirety. What this meant is that we could also not move until the whole unit had been paid for in full. On top of all that - the best part is that the lien was placed the same day we called to inquire about relocation costs. It doesn't get much shadier than that folks.

Absolutely, one of biggest regrets I ever made was to get involved with Aqua Finance Inc. The entire experience has been nothing but a headache and stressful and would hope this review would ward off others. I should of went and canceled immediately after the first interaction I had with them over my lost contract. I had completed all the contract paperwork with their associate at my house. They send me an email to confirm arrival time and date along with a phone call. The representative shows up late as well as without there "big" promotional gift for coming abroad a gallon of tide. After all agreements are made for the in-stallion of the water system, payment schedule, as well as set interest rate. I received my copy of the contract and advised him I was leaving for Florida the next day for a family vacation for the next 3 weeks. Upon, my third day in Florida my phone had not stopped ringing as well as showing missed calls from all unknown numbers. It was ridiculous at of 13 calls one message was left without an extension and barely audible. When I finally was able to get talk to someone they inform me that the interest rate is now being changed because what their representative, represented was incorrect and now need me to sign a new contract right away. I explain that I even informed him, I will be out of the state for 3 weeks, and they expect me to end my vacation to get back home and sign a new contract.
Now upon revising the new interest rate and other poorly represented problems. I was told as per the contract I would be receiving such items for being a new customer. within the first month after installation. Just to fast forward after numerous amount of phones calls to them and always getting someone different. Let alone a supervisor never being available and having to re-explain everything each time. I was told several times I would receive a call back and never did for 6 months. Therefore the only course of action was to stop paying for a system that was never completely installed being that they were in breach of contract. After the 10 day grace period for a missed payment I received a phone call everyday if not every other asking for a payment. If I was un-able to answer the first I would get another 2-3 hours later 3 times a day. When I was able to answer and ask to speak to a supervisor one is unavailable. Just to fast forward, I am a year and 5 months in still didn't not receive anything till December. Which was after several more phone calls and nor did I ever receive a follow up for correct operation of the one system installed, nor has the other reverse osmosis system installed. There rep. was suppose to contact me to make an appointment, which he did and I made a date and time for his appearance as well as with there contacted plumber. Than the day of the appointment I receive a phone cal he had to cancel. I re-made another, and yet again, canceled, but not by phone, by text messages. Finally, third time, and canceled again. When trying to contact his supervisor to get someone else, no one can be found. So till this day no follow up, no system installed, and still just a regret. To add more salt to the wound, I decided the one day to make a online payment rather than over the phone. The payment is instance and see it is already debited from my account. Next month statement arrives to show me a $10 late fee. So I try my luck, I called and spoke with a very rude rep. I asked why I have the late payment for her to tell me they use a third party to process online payments. So they didn't receive it till 2 days after the grace period. Even though the payment was already taken out of the account. So even though money is already taken, just to get more money out of you, because of there third party processing time, they charge you as late fee. Aqua Fiance Inc. and Aqua Edge are the biggest Scam companies operating in the US today. As previously stated, this stands to be one of the biggest regrets I ever made to get involved with. If this can help anyone that spent the time to read this I hope you don't get involved with Aqua Finance for your sake of the mental anguish you would endure and the amount of stress it comes with. Help others and tell them to stay away from SCAM companies like this.

If only I had done more research with Aqua Finance and (SAFE WATER) before going threw financing my water softener system. I would think Aqua Finance would know how to get in contact with who they are in business with, but unfortunately they dont even have a good contact number for the people they paid for my home water system *Safe Water. I'm basically paying for a system that does not work in less than a year. This is not how financing should be.

Wish we would not have financed our water system. The loan has been sold several times. The bill has stopped coming on time (if it comes at all) which sets us up for late payments.
Disgusting business practice.

We sincerely apologize for any frustrations caused. Ms. B loan was sold twice- initially sold to Connexus Credit Union and sold back to Aqua Finance, Inc. the originator of the loan in November of 2017. We are unaware of issues from the sale that would cause her not to receive billing statements as we have no record of her contacting our office. Records show her statement is generated approximately 25 days prior to her next due date each month and no mail has been returned. We again apologize for the inconvenience and if Ms. B wishes to discuss further she may contact our office directly at ***. Thank you.

I have never filed a review or a complaint in my life. I have read the reviews and wanted to note that I have been with Aqua Finance for 3 years... I have auto pay and I call randomly to check my bal and rate. I may be the exception and if I am I am thankful. I have NEVER had a concern or complaint. CSS has been informational when I call. They were help for a major purchase that I had not budgeted for and the terms were equitable. I personally would have no problems or concerns with recommending this company. I still have 6 months left on my contract and am NOT anticipating any problems.

Thank you for the positive review! We value your feedback and look forward to serving you in the future!!

Originally quoted a low interest rate. Once papers were finalized, the total loan amount was incorrect and the interest rate was significantly higher... That should have been my first clue. After the loan was processed at the corrected amount, I received a billing notice about a week later saying the first payment was due in 3 days... When I went to refinance to get away from them, I found out they opened 3 new accounts for this one loan and dropped my credit by almost 100pts!! Needless to say, I'm working to get those removed and my credit restored so I can get a loan with a less deceptive company!
