On March 12, 2018 and April 12, 2018 a payment of $174.76 and $148.74 respectively was sent via Santander Bank bill pay to 1121 14th St. NW, Washington, DC per my request. I did not realize they did not accept check but billed through credit card.

I have been working since May 9th to retrieve those funds... thru numerous emails with the same results NOTHING...…… I have since called my bank and they pulled these "physical checks" and they were cashed. Back of checks shows a scribble - not a "signature'..... no stamps or any other markings. I am not in the process of WAITING "AGAIN" for another call back from the "Billing Team" to get their FAX number to send them a copy of the cashed checks...……… WISH me LUCK...……. I would NEVER use this company EVER

Promotes several benefits for signing up immediately and offers multiple to one person in succession at the same time. None of them state that they are mutually exclusive. So originally I signed up and connected my *** account because of an advertisement that stated connecting your account would earn you a $25 gift certificate to ***. Then while looking over the site I was deciding if I felt it was a scam or not and still wanted to look over reviews. However, while looking over the site a window popped up and said connect your credit card today and receive a 20$ credit. It did not have anything stating this promotion would trump the other or that they could not be combined. I added my credit card thinking essentially that if they are willing to "pay" me to try what could I lose? I would have never signed up for this service had both promotions had not been offered separately. I received two separate emails One stating that I would receive a 25$ gift certificate by email in a few weeks and the other stating that a credit was applied to my statement. Neither said that they canceled the other or that they were exclusive. they were also sent about 10 minutes apart. When my statement rolled out it did not have the credit (which by their logic it should have as the second thing I signed up for), When I emailed they finally told me its one or the other even though they never had a disclaimer. They even verified that they didn't have a disclaimer when spoken to but since they don't usually have more than one promotion at once they typically don't need one. So they pretty much told me pick one or the other or get neither. I picked the 25$ because its more obviously. Then today I get a 20$ *** credit instead because once again they don't have it together. Then their way of remedying it is to say we will only give you a 5$ credit for your next bill which is because I have already told them to cancel my service.

This is a very interesting startup that has been a pleasure to work with so far. They integrate directly with my utilities company so my payment goes directly to my utility provider. But they purchase Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) that feed clean energy into the grid. So I know every electron of energy I use is offset with clean, renewable wind energy.

I have had a few bugs / issues with their website and have contacted their support line. They have been extremely responsive, I've talked with a company employee right away each time and they've worked to resolve my issues quickly.

Very impressed overall with Arcadia Power.

I was very happy to find out I could get off fossil fuels to power my home without having to pay for expensive equipment like solar panels. I've been very pleased with Arcadia. I especially like how they give information on your dashboard such as how much clean energy you're using. I started out with the free service but have since upgraded to the 100% renewable plan which costs a little more per month but is worth it in my opinion. I received a $40 certificate to Whole Foods for doing so. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about, but I guess some people are glass-half-empty kind of folks.

Arcadia Power continually over advertises their service to me via Email. Daily I receive Emails encouraging me to finish my application for their "Green energy" Services. I did not sign up because I was very suspicious that this business is a scam.This company is extremely vague about where the electric service comes from. It's also troubling to know that the ONLY payment option is by direct withdraw from a bank account. Alot of red flags here. I sincerely hope that this information is followed up on and it would be great if I could be contacted in regards to the result of any investigation. I would like this information so that I can correctly inform my family, loved ones and co-workers as to the legitimatecy of this business. If my suspicions are correct, then this organization has the potential to rip off many hard working, unsuspecting people!

Using our technology and the aggregate buying power of our 100,000+ members, we are able to purchase clean energy at an affordable cost. In addition, we provide our members with a personalized dashboard, where they can monitor their impact, usage, and have the option to participate in additional energy-saving programs.Signing up for Arcadia Power allows our members to ensure that their electricity is sourced from renewable wind energy by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from wind farms across the country.By purchasing RECs, our members are increasing the demand for clean energy - which expands access and availability, helps the environment, and reduces our reliance on fossil fuels - without having to install and maintain their own equipment. These RECs are monitored by a big four accounting firm to make sure they are up to date and retired appropriately on our member’s behalf. In 2017 we purchased our RECs from the following wind farms: ***, ***,***, ***, ***.At this time, we are only set up for automatic withdrawal through either a checking account, credit, or debit card. At first I was skeptical of Arcadia, so I started a free account with them. After a couple months I found the free services easy to use and the staff very friendly through emails about questions I had while I was still feeling through the waters. Then I decided I wanted to have 100% of my energy come from clean energy and upgraded to a paid account. Since being a paying customer, the friendliness and helpfulness has been exactly the same and they have been very understanding even through issues like a meter misread by my energy provider. They not only credited my account the overcharged energy usage observed incorrectly by the energy provider but also reassured my that the delay in the providers bill would still be taken care of on time. Their ability to react to things out of their control like this is fantastic. I have quickly become a fan of the company and their service. It's simple to use, gives me more options for paying my bill and I am getting clean energy through the service! Talk about a win-win!

I've read the negative reviews on this website, and my guess is the negative reviewers don't fully understand the program. Basically, when you pay Arcadia Power, they use your money to purchase RECs (Renewable Energy Certificates) on your behalf, which sustains development and growth of renewable energy sources. The energy that's actually delivered to your home is fundamentally unchanged. People who are suspicious of this being a "shady" operation should actually research the company on Google, and read other websites' take on it. The reviews are generally very positive.

I've only been a customer for a couple months, and haven't had to contact customer service for any reason, so I can't speak to those negative reviews.

As far as my bill goes, I'm on the free plan, which sources 50% of my energy via RECs. My bill has not increased at all having switched to this program. I'm very seriously considering switching to the 100% renewable plan, which costs an additional $.015 per kilowatt hour. Arcadia estimates the increase is about $9/month per household, but I generally use less electricity than many houses, so I'm expecting maybe a $5 premium per month. I feel it's worth it to fully support sustainable energy. If more households would subscribe to plans like this, the cost of renewable energy would eventually decrease to the point of being directly in competition with non-renewable sources.

Received advertisement from Arcadia Power saying that there was 671 subscriptions available in my array for community Solar Farm. When I called them to sing up they required my electric utilities (***) login and password account information. When I asked them why they needed my login information they said that they had to login to my account to get monthly account data. I tried to give my Account number but the person was adamant that I give them my login and password. This is a clear violation of my Utilities terms of use and a best practice violation with login and password access to websites. This seems like it is a scam due to the fact the company has the PERSONAL login for customer's utility and could modify or disconnect service of the customer.

Essentially, signing up with Arcadia Power is similar to having a third party billpay service with an added renewable energy component. And in New York, Arcadia Power is working on an exciting new program bringing solar savings to our member’s utility bills at no upfront cost and with no contracts or cancelation fees. However, in order to provide these savings, Arcadia Power must be able to monitor our members’ electric usage directly via their utility account and then through our platform. At this time, the only way to do so is by an Arcadia Power member to provide their utility login credentials. We also do require our members to submit a method of payment on file so we may begin managing their utility statements as well as apply these solar credits appropriately. We also understand that submitting personal information online can be concerning and Arcadia Power take our members’ security and privacy extremely seriously. All information members provide us is stored in an encrypted database. We also have in place various technical, administrative, and physical procedures intended to keep our member’s information secure. We offer bank-level security with PCI-DSS compliance for your payments which is the most stringent level of certification available in the payment industry. My husband and I have been using Arcadia wind power since late 2015. Our electricity bills are higher than when we were with Duke Energy, which provides primarily from coal-fired electric plants. The information on our account, and on the Arcadia Power website, is not explicit enough for us to truly understand where the power comes from. We feel that we mostly just have to trust the company and have faith that our electicity is actually coming from wind sources. We know there are windfarms in Southwestern Indiana and Southeastern Illinois. Windpower beats Indiana coal, though. I would just like to feel completely confident in the company.
