Arch View Auto Sales Reviews (99)

The Vehicle was sold as is with no warranty.  The customer claims that we told her that we had the motor replaced not to replace a bad motor but for enhancement reasons.  We have never done this.  We have talked to the customer and agreed to wave her remaining balance.

Ms [redacted] purchased a 2002 Buick Rendevous for $4495.00 and put $700 down the day of sale.  Ms. [redacted] complained of a gas smell shortly after purchasing the vehicle.  She had complained about the issue in person at our Archview location.  She demanded that we give her a different...

vehicle.  We explained to her that if it was leaking gas that she should not drive the vehicle to have it looked at.  As for the repossession, Ms. [redacted] had $400.00 of her differed down payment and her $200.00 monthly payment due was unpaid.  Ms. [redacted] has had multiple vehicles from us and is well aware of the differed down payments as they were required on the other vehicles in which she purchased from us.  For the short period of time in which Ms.  [redacted] has had the vehicle she had put over 3000 miles on the vehicle.

we never told the customer it was not our problem. the vehicle was sold as is but we will look at the vehicle but the customer will have to pay for any parts that are needed

We traded the customer out of this vehicle for an equally priced vehicle on 02/02/2018.

The vehicle was sold as is with no warranty.  We will however repair the vehicle for the customer if the customer pays for the parts for the repair.

The vehicle was purchased as is with no warranty.  We will however cover labor expense in our shop if the customer pays for the parts for repairs.

I am rejecting this response because:I understand it was as is but I was told by the sales person [redacted] that it would not cost me anything to fix the trunk, how is is it OK to lease a car to someone and the trunk doesn't open. This prevents me from changing any brake and signal lights in the rear of the car, and the check engine light was and is on in the car, Also he was supposed to fix the issue with the check engine light and the first time I took it there [redacted] put it on the diagnostic machine to knock the codes out, to avoid having to repair it. This is a horrible place to do business, and this is my last time I am in the process of getting another vehicle and return this lemon to them,  I refuse to pay for something they should have repaired before sale. They will have to deal with it. These are horrible people who takes people hard earned money, sale them junk and lie to their faces. They are really  sad and pathetic they make their living by ripping people off and getting over but their day will come I'm sure.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We will be more than happy to look at the vehicle and see why the light is coming on.  The customer gave us a MO address on her application she filled it out and had a MO id when she purchased it.  She never indicated she lived in Illinois when she purchased the vehicle.  When it was...

time to register the vehicle she indicated that she wanted it registered in IL not MO.  We told her it didn't matter to us she just needed to pay the taxes in whatever state she lives in.

The vehicle was sold as is with no warranty.  Shortly after purchase the customer had complaints of the vehicle.  We agreed to trade the vehicle for a vehicle of equal price.  The customer is looking at vehicles that are much higher in price.  We told them they could make the...

difference up if they would like to upgrade.  We are still waiting to do this.

I am rejecting this response because:the Owner did not say anything about the car being as is. I would have went to Another car lot. The owner is disrespectful and I want half of my money back or my car back and I fix It Myself
Sincerely,

I am contacting you guys again because I have not received the outcome I want from the dealership. The last time I wrote in the dealership had the vehicle and was repairing it. [redacted] ( service manager ) told me they...

had to put a new motor in the car and that's why they had the car for two weeks. I picked the car up on the 27th of April I drove only 3 exits down the highway before the check engine light came back on. I took the car right back to the dealership and the mechanic ran a test on the car and said it needed an o2 sensor but they didn't have the part in it will need to be order and they will schedule an appointment for me to come back in I was never called back. he told me the car was safe to drive in the mean time. This past Saturday afternoon (May 6th) I was driving on high way 70  and the car started to smoke from the hood and slow down on its on I couldn't give the car any gas. I then signaled to get off on the next exit so I could be in a safe location which was the Lucas Hunt exit. As I was going up the ramp the car completely stopped. I turned the car off and called my insurance company to send out roadside assistance to tow the car to the dealership. However, the roadside assistance gave me an ETA of 120 minutes and the police said they count wait because the car could cause an accident so they had it towed. It cost me $230.00 to get my car out of the impound. I had the vehicle towed to my house and the dealership picked it up Tuesday ( May 9th) morning around 10:30am I have not heard one word from the service department or the sales manager. I told the manager when I spoke with him on Monday that I wanted another car I don't feel safe in that car it has stopped on me 3 times now, I do not want to blow up in that car. At this point I just want my money back that I spent on the down payment and to be done with them they can keep their car.

The vehicle the customer is referring to did not have 114,300 miles on it when we purchased the vehicle so this is not even possible.  The vehicle was purchased with 114,700 on the vehicle.  It would be impossible for the vehicle to have 114,300 on the dash when the customer test drove the...

vehicle.  When the customer inquired about the vehicle not being at the location they put the deposit down at, we tried to explain that the vehicle was moved to our other location waiting for them to come up with the rest of the money to purchase the vehicle.  The lost is a very small and this happens frequently when deposits are taken to make room for more vehicles.  We are however willing to refund the $500.00 deposit on the vehicle.

The vehicle was repaired and returned to the customer.

the customer came in claiming she was pulled over and the officer told her the vehicle was reported stolen. the vehicle was not impounded which is very odd if a vehicle was reported...

stolen the police officer should impound the vehicle. the manager called the state police and inquired about the customers claim and they said that the vehicle was not reported stolen and no tickets were issued to the customer. the customer then said that she was going to go to the state police to see what was going on and she never came back. we did explain to her that is had to be some kind of a mistake because the state issued plates to the vehicle and if it was stolen the state will not issue plates and the officer would not have let her go with a stolen car. the customer had a down payment and a monthly payment that was not paid so it was repoed for non payment.
