We have received your correspondence regarding the [redacted] home As indicated by the claimant, we did process a claim for this location under the name of the prior (original) owner We were able to replace several units under their warranty coverage. However, once the home was sold, any new complaints/issues would be handled under the new owner Since the new owner does not have labor coverage, there is no labor coverage available to the ***'s We have honored our warranty in full by producing the window and shipping it to our local facility I reached out to our Denver center today and they confirmed it had been picked up.If we can be of further assistance, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the home of Mrs*** In reviewing this claim, it has been unresolved for quite some time It is true that we lost our local distributor and for some time were without the ability to send larger pieces of glass to the area However, that was resolvedUnfortunately this homeowner was given incorrect information from one of our representatives This job was re-assigned and is expected to be completed in approximately weeks time. Our offices spoke with the homeowner today to apologize for the confusionIf there is any further information needed from us, please let us know

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to meplease provide a copy of the warranty from 2010.Additionally, I would like a copy of communications sent to installers that warned them of the potential issueThis will become a difficult situation for you or the installer to prove you were not liableWe had approximately or square of siding that was affectedSmall claims court should be able to sort it outi understand an Oregon based law firm already has established a class action against your companyI'm not the only one out thereMr [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: your representatives should have accurate knowledge and information regarding the warrantiesAs such our family is negatively affectedThis is bad business

We have received your correspondence about the siding installed on the home of [redacted] (our claim# [redacted] )In evaluating the information and samples provided by the homeowner, we were unable to locate a manufacturing defect on the home The level of fading thereon is less than the required threshold indicated in his warranty termsAs a result, we must maintain our denial of this claim This claimant has already sought legal assistance and a similar reply was issued to his attorney on 10/9/As further indicated on our letter to his attorney, the claimant is welcome to send additional information for further review If a manufacturing problem is located on the home which the warranty provides assistance for, such assistance will be offeredIf we can be of further help, please do not hesitate to contact our offices

I am rejecting this response because:You were given only part of the information from the companyThe email of 10/19/was never sent to the correct email for usAdditionally, we are very concerned with their choice of company to work withI have tried to research [redacted] IncThey have no internet foot printA company with their name and a different phone number it listed in a yellow pages search, however when we tried to call that number is has been disconnectedSusie left a message with my husband and gave him a phone number for a crew chief, we called and received no responseWe received an email from Lynne T [redacted] claiming to have received a work orderIt stated they are working in MN, WI, and MI on jobs previously scheduledThey have jobs previously scheduled in KS and hope to get to us sometimeIt seems strange to us after being strung along for almost a year once we mentioned lawyer and Revdex.com they instantly gave enough attention to our claim to make it seem they were doing their jobWe are concerned if either company [redacted] Inc or [redacted] really exist

We have received your latest correspondence regarding the home of Mr***.As indicated in our prior reply, this siding is being affected by thermal reflection distortion - this has nothing to do with ambient heat or even direct UV exposure We encourage the claimant to research the term online as there is a wealth of knowledge on the topic available We have previously replied to the homeowner on this topic and referred him to specific websites for more informationThe most common cause of this reflection is from low-E windows These are designed to reflect heat away from the home and they must then direct that heat elsewhere They can, at certain angles, focus intense 'beams' onto other surfaces causing heat far beyond what the siding is constructed to endure - regardless of any additional UV additives It is not ambient heat or sunlight - it is reflected sunlight. The warranty which would have been provided with this siding purchase in would have specifically indicated thermal reflection as a non-covered item. Our warranty does cover manufacturing issues If the homeowner, perhaps after researching reflection, still believes his home is being affected by a manufacturing concern, he can submit a panel to us for analysis If a manufacturing problem is found, he may be entitled to assistance However, if our analysis is correct, we will return the panel and maintain our denial.Based on the provided photographs we are confident in our decision and accordingly did not (and do not) recommend such an optionIf anything further is needed from us, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the home of Mr [redacted] Our files indicate that claim# [redacted] was opened 3/31/and a packet was sent to him that day.He replied (on 4/13) with attachments to an email in a format that we could not open and we asked him to resend on 4/18.He resent the photos on 4/but never resent any of the forms or proof documents We have no record of any contact from him since. His claim was closed for lack of reply on 5/We'd be happy to re-activate his claim and process it, but we must still ask that the other documents be resent in a readable format All we have to date is three picturesHe is welcome to email us or contact our offices at 1-800-489-for further assistanceIf we can be of further assistance, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the window claim filed by Mr***.As indicated by the claimant, the corporate office did approve this claim and provide the needed parts for repair The warranty in question does not cover labor The parts are available at the local supply center for pickup and our last contact there (3/19) indicated that the homeowner was expected to pick them up that day.The local service manager is not in a position to assist claimants It is unclear how the claimant managed to reach that party, but all homeowner contacts should be directed to the corporate warranty group as indicated by our warranty and our website. We consider this matter closed, but this warranty is certainly still active. If we can be of more assistance, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the windows on the home of Mr [redacted] Our files indicate that we received an email from Mr [redacted] in mid-May and his clam was approved with the replacement unit being ordered on 6/2/That same day the job was assigned to the local contractor, but the assignment was never received Mr [redacted] next called our offices on 7/(complaint indicates he filed this with your office on 7/7?)On that call our representative contacted the provider and learned of the issueThey confirmed receipt of the glass and the paperwork was resentThey should have already contacted the homeowner and would have discussed a scheduling date It is unfortunate that the original paperwork was not receivedWe certainly would have expected this job to have been done in late June, early JulyWe apologized for the delay on the 7/call, but will certainly restate that hereWe apologize for the delay encountered in this claim We are confident that our local provider will perform this repair promptly and properly If anything further is needed, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the [redacted] home. Our files show a similar story to what was described by the claimant We had to replace the first contractor from inactivity - then the wrong address was input for the second contractor Finally he was out there last week to do the job and found that the balance was not sufficient for the window He placed an order for a new balance to be shipped which we will have shipped to the home directly (on or about 3/9/18) He will reach out after that to complete the installation. It is regrettable that the repair has taken as long as it has We expect to have it completed within a few weeks

As indicated in our prior reply we sent an offer in October and did not hear from the church until May, It is unfortunate they did not receive the original offer Seemingly their frustration stems from that seven month lapse We have honored our warranty with this church to its fullest and they have accepted our offer We intend to continue to pursue this repair as agreed upon, but if the church chooses to accept the settlement offer that was also sent in October and May instead of the refinishing, we can still honor that too They would only need to let us know That option would give them some freedom to consult with local contractors to perhaps get a repair done locally and more timely. As a side note - on a google search for [redacted] , the first entry is their listing with the Revdex.com - that is reflective of the proper [redacted] and should hopefully satisfy validating their existence. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know

The business has been trying to contact the consumer for the last three weeks Because of the age of the windows, the dimensions cannot be found through the serial numbers The business needs the actual sizes found on each window on its warranty sticker Please provide this information so the business can proceed with the warranty claim

As stated in our prior reply, the unit did ship, albeit one day later than expected (on 2/instead of 2/13) The contractor will reach out to the claimant to arrange a scheduled date for the repairWe understand that the homeowner wants to make sure the job is done before she is satisfied and would not ask her to do anything else.We will pursue this repair until it has been completed

We have received your correspondence regarding the siding installed on the home of Mr***.As indicated by the homeowner, he filed a claim with our offices and submitted some paperwork to us, but he has not yet submitted any documentation that we can use to verify he has our product on his home His last submission for that purpose was an affidavit signed by his contractor That is not something we can accept. We can accept, in his case, a copy of the warranty, a contract/invoice/signed proposal indicating that our product was used or was to be used, an affidavit from the local distributor(not contractor) that sold our product, or a sample of the siding removed from the home (It is worth noting that these options are not available to every claimant - they are specific to the product/year/concern purported to be on his home)If the homeowner can submit any of that information to us, we will continue with our review of the claim and determine what, if any, assistance he maybe entitled to Without it, we will not be able to provide any assistanceIf we can be of further help, please let us know

*** [redacted] I got an email that my claim had been closed but it has not been resolved A person came out to measure the window but a replacement has not been received or installed Please keep the claim open pending completion[redacted]

We have received your correspondence regarding the window issue on the home of Mr [redacted] .Our records show that we approved this claim and assigned it to a local contractor on 11/27/ The needed unit was shipped out 12/7/directly to that service provider Unfortunately, checking with them today - that unit has been lost/misplaced We will re-make it and ship it back to them for the repair to be concluded It is regrettable that this was not noticed sooner We fully expect this repair to be completed shortly after the material is delivered which should take about business days We encourage the homeowner to contact our offices if he has any questions If we can be of further assistance, please let us know

We have received your correspondence regarding the home of Mr [redacted] and Ms*** We opened claim# [redacted] to evaluate the filed claim They provided all the requested information promptly but we discovered that he did not purchase the optional glass breakage coverage with his windows As such, he is not covered for broken glass (years after production) and the claim was denied Without that purchased coverage, we are not able to assist the claimant with broken glass. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/08/19) */ We have recieved your correspondence regarding the [redacted] home Our files essentially mirror the comments made by the claimantWe have not yet received a bid back from any valid local cotractors Our offices recently spoke with [redacted] (local contractor) who expressed interest in the workWe are hopeful that he will submit an estimate to us in the near future that will permit the work to be completed As noted by the homeowner there was a settlement option provided in lieu of the repairIf they would prefer to accept the settlement offer, we can still honor that offer and provide a check to the homeowner rather than completing the workThey would only need to let our offices know of their intent Barring that, we will continue to pursue the repair until it has been completed Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/08/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) My goal is to have the siding replaced as per the warrantyWhat good is a warranty for a product that was flawed if all you get is the run around when a claim is madeThe settlement amount offered wound certainly not cover the cost to replace the siding with another productWith the amount of licensed contractors in my area I would not think that it would take this long to find oneI feel a complaint should not be months old without any resolution

*** [redacted] I am writing to you regarding above mentioned complaint against Associated Materials, LLC of Akron, OHThe business promised to send the parts to the local service provider and fix the broken window balances and have the local installer evaluate why and how the window frame was broken. The local provider visited my house a few weeks ago and found that the parts shipped by manufacturer were of incorrect size and that the breaking of the balance (which was defective) caused the window frame to crack due the force it exerted on the frameThe installer wrote back to the manufacturer asking them to send the right parts and the window frame for replacement. Both the installer and I have not heard back from the manufacturer yet as to when they would be able to send out the parts to fix my windows.Could you kindly reopen the case and reach out to the manufacturer to close this item as soon as possible? Thanks for your help[redacted] ***
