The company called Economy was very unreliable and I had a horrible experience with them Firstly it was off site from the airport so I had to take a shuttle there 2ndly, the agent David who claimed to be the manager was not the least bit hospitable or courteous Instead he was very rude and completely out of line! He tried to force me to buy insurance, I explained that I already have full coverage and did not need insurance He insisted that if I don't buy the insurance I cannot have the car Considering I had my small children and wife with me, I agreed to the insurance, but then he went on to say he no longer wanted me to rent a car and demanded I get off the property??? I asked for management and he did not let me speak to anyone and claimed he was the manager! I called the police to notify them of this scam and the sheriff indicated that he receives multiple complaints about that company on a daily basis! Not wanting to waste anymore time of my vacation (it had been over an hour) I had to return to the airport and rent a car from a different company for a very high price due to last minute booking! This was a horrible experience! I will never ever book with them again and recommend for no one else to use them either! What is the point of having a rental reservation confirmed when they change everything when you arrive?!

We rented a car from this company through [redacted] Problems started from the beginningIt took over minutes for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport When we got to the lot, the office was packed with peopleWe took our place in line As we waited we watched different angry customers walk out There were words with the manager and at that point I became worried that this place might not be on the up and up Not to mention, most of the angry customers were dads with kids waiting with them Many of the kids became upset as well after hearing the arguing in this place of businessAfter waiting a long time in line, and overhearing something about insurance requirements I became concerned Once we got to a representative and gave him our confirmation number, he proceeded to tell us that we had to use their insurance We have full coverage and declinedHowever, the rep told us that the only way we can rent a car was to provide a copy of our car insurance policy and there would be a $hold on our credit card We have never had to provide this before to any car rental company At this point we were very upset because we had landed over hours ago and still did not have a car Economy banks on the fact that they are offisite and most people will be run down and exhausted from travelling and now they are offsite so they feel like this is their only option We took the shuttle back to the airport and rented from another company at the airport We even used the kiosk with no problems or hassles We were in our car within minutes This is not a professional company They are scammers and deceitful They take advantage of tired travelers I will never rent a car from this company againI would never recommend anyone use this company

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! They are a scam! HUGE HIDDEN FEES THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE!!! We reserved a car for $for one week rentalIn the email conformation it stated all taxes and fees includedThey took forever to get us a car when we arrived and when we finally got one they rushed us through everythingThey ran our credit card in the beginning but never signed anything until the very end when they handed us the keys and a folded up piece of paperThey charged us over $I strongly recommend using a reputable rental car company

I reserved a rental from economy to be picked up on 9-2-16, upon getting to the rental facility I had to wait in line.once at the counter the representative went to see if the car I had reserved was available, he didn't say rather it was or not but offered a larger vehicle for more money,I went with it because I was tired of standing thereHe then proceeding to half explain the insurance options, which sounded absurd compared to any other experience I've had renting cars,I chose a a day coverage which was full coverage..as my family and I waited for the vehicle we noticed a man and woman taking photos, and video of the vehicle they were renting which raised a red flag for meWhen the guy pulled up with the vehicle I was renting he walked around the car to access the car for any prior damage I'm guessing, I have never seen this done with any rental company I've rented from, another red flag for me.as the day progressed I noticed that the truck wouldn't start on the first try, but on the second, yet another red flag..during the 3rd day of having the truck and it began to rain I noticed that the defrost didn't work uh the truck...again another red flag, who rents out cars like this, I was returning it the next day so didn't feel the need to call them about itNext day is return day, when we got there we didn't know the return procedure and there was a long line of cars, we were finally told we needed to go in by the shuttle bus driver, the guy outside went in the truck started it up then took the keys inside and I was seen by a man at the front desk, he asked how much was the deposit I had and asked me to sign the sheet and we went to get on the shuttle bus to go to the airport.upon returning home I went to a store and tried using my credit card, it was declined, didn't understand why so I checked my mobile account and seen that 1,for economy/signature rental car..I was livid...called to ask why was there a $1,charge on my card and after the lady had me on hold several times she tells me for damage to the front window??? I was confused and angry, if there was any damage why didn't I see it, why wasn't I told this before I left the rental facility??..I was told to email someone by the name of Andrew and is currently awaiting a response,I will not allow this company to take advantage of me asked anyone else,I wish I had read these reviews before hand because I wouldn't have rented from there at all!!! Please beware of economy car rental

We had the same experience as several other reviewers and the "F" rating by Revdex.com is truly deservedThey advertise a great price, but are running an insurance scam that tries to take advantage of people who don't know how legitimate car rental companies workThey go through the entire rental process and right at the end ask you for proof of insuranceThe insurance card issued by your insurer is not acceptable, they will not accept a fax of the policy, an email of the policy unless it is directly from your insurer, they will not accept the insurance that comes with your credit cardIn short, you must buy their insurance at unbelievably high rates (starts at $a day with a high deductible)They lied to us and said "insurance has changed in FL and every rental car company now requires a hard copy of your insurance policy"Blatant lie as we took the shuttle back to the airport and picked up a car no problemThis is a scam business and the FL attorney general needs to shut them down!!!

This place is very shadyThey made me put a 1,deposit after I had already paid for the rental The day of return I had to go through a Sun Pass toll which had no cash lane, just pass lane I was told from Signature Rent a car that if they get the violation that I will be charged Frank said very rudely " you should have just paid for the toll pass" Even though I only had to go through tolls the entire tripCalled Sun Pass and hoping they can resolve it so I do not get charged anything further Frank was completely unprofessional, rude I will never rent from this company again and suggest you stay far away!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AT MCO! 10/21/ This company came up as an option on an online travel siteRight after it was booked, I was offered a car rental policy for $per dayI took that, also Big Mistake I went to the kiosk they told me about and when I dialed the displayed number for Signature, it wouldn't go throughTried this at phones with same resultsFinally I had their number (just in case the phone didn't work)Waited minutes for someone to answerAsked where I was at and told to go to some lane out frontAsked several strangers before I found their "courtesy" van When we got to the agency, I had to wait in line for over an hourGot up to the counter and handed them my credit card, driver's license, my [redacted] policy and the policy I bought on line My experience seems to parallel many of the other reviewsPretty much pushed in to buying their insurance coverageTheir policy does not cover windshield and tire damage which notification was applied with a rubber stamp on the rental form which I was not allowed to see until after charges were applied to credit card and was handed to me by the employee after we checked out the car for damage I did not check the gas gauge (stupid me but they had worn me down) but later discovered that I had less than 1/tank after very little drivingIt could not have been full I've learned my lesson; stick with the big name agenciesThey may seem to be more expensive on the surface but they stand behind their reputations My $(including all taxes) quote cost $ Base charge - $ Facility charge - $ Sales tax - Florida Surcharge - $ Vehicle License Fee - $ Airport Tax - $ Energy Fee - $ Tire/Battery fee - $

They literally LOST my car keys!! DO NOT park here Last week, I arrived at Signature Parking to retrieve my car after being out of town for a weekWhen I got there, I realized it was taking an unusually long time for them to retrieve my carMy vehicle was parked right next to the main building, so I told them to just give me my keys and not worry about pulling it upThat is when they told me they could not find my keys, but not to worry, because they were around somewhere This waiting around turned into over an hour during which I could tell the staff were talking about not being able to locate my keysI asked if I could help look, so I went into the key closet and searched through every key hanging on the wall (which was extremely unorganized), and my keys definitely weren't in thereThey said sometimes the valet boys will grab several keys at a time and they could have accidentally dropped in someone else's car or outside Long story short, this turned into me sitting at Signature Parking for over hoursThey ended up calling a locksmith around hour to come make me a new keySure, they apologized a few times, but when I repeatedly asked for a supervisor, they kept saying that the General Manager was not on duty and that I would have to wait for him to come into the office the next day to do anything to compensate me for my troublesIn addition, they kept claiming that this happens at all car parking places and that "it's part of the industry"This wasn't the first time this happened eitherMany of the valet boys told me this happened a few months back and they ended up finding the keys in someone else's carI am not up on my industry standards, but I have parked at quite a few parking places, and this had never happened before While sitting around for hours, I was able to observe some less-than professional customer service from the managementOne manager told an elderly couple to "stop whining" because they were voicing their frustration that their car was taking a long time to get pulled upAnother woman was upset because they left her car windows down overnight and the manager, again, told her to stop complaining The Customer Service Manager, Frank, who I primarily dealt with kept exclaiming that they were just paying for the locksmith because they liked me and it wasn't like they were obligated to get me a new keyHe was seriously trying to act like he was doing me a favor...? As numerous others, insurance is the main issue encounteredEven though I had proof of insurance, my insurance does not include "loss of use", which has never been an issue with any other car rental companyFor that reason, the only choices available were to go to a different rental company (inconvenience and schedule issue) or take their insuranceWhat was supposed to be a $total cost turned into $While waiting in line for picking up the car (minutes), several very dissatisfied customers showed up - one with the same insurance issue, another because a hubcap was missing on the car for which he was being charged with, claiming it was missing when the car was picked upThe later had to be escorted outside! This is not an "economy" car rental organization

Worst experience everThe car rental place was economy rentalThis place gets stars..Wish I would've read the reviews before I went to this placeI was scammed like everyone else..I was quoted 50$ online and I came with my insurance card in hand to be told they hold double your insurance deductible on your credit cardTo add insult to injury I left my headphones and case under the seat and didn't notice until I got on the airplaneI called them before and after my flight a total of times to only get hung up on , put on hold, and giving the run around and told they would call me back if they turned upI don't believe they even looked where I told them they were or they found them and stole my property! I agree with most of the reviews as I too had a ad experience with this car rental companyI arrived at the airport not knowing that the lot was not at the airport and no signage as to where I should go, so I had to ask around to gain the information I needed to reach my destinationThe driver kept assuring us that we would be there shortlyI believe that it took us minutes to get to the car lotI was in line with approximately other groups of people when I noticed them speaking amongst themselves and some got out of lineI asked the couple in front of me what was going on and they replied that you had to have a copy of your car insurance or had to pay for Signature car rental insurance and that it as pretty expensiveI frantically started looking online for my policyI couldn't remember my password and then had to go through all of that process to finally login to my accountOnce I reached my account I was next in lineI tried to bring up my policy and it would not loadFinally it came upBy the way, I have been in line for about minutes here and it would have been more if people hadn't got out of the lineCustomers were very irritated and expressing their views as I walked past to the next available clerkI told the clerk my name and he replied that he had to see my reservation paperworkI tried to explain that if I did that I would loss my information regarding my car insurance and he replied that he could not help me unless I showed him the reservation paperwork firstHere I go out to the email conformation paperwork and was hoping the whole time that I could get back to the car insurance paperwork that he would need nextIt took a minute or so but I was able to locate the policy againI tried to ask questions as to why they were so intense about the documents and he replied that there are several car rental places that require the same as they do and that I must not have rented a car latelyWhich is so far from the truthI rent cars at least once a quarter or more and they ask me my name and don't require anything but an insurance card in some casesI never have to bring up my conformation paperwork, I just hand them my driver's licenseMost times now I just use their kiosks and go pick my carSimple right? Worst experience ever! When I first booked this rental on [redacted] it didn't say this was offsite so we waited at the airport mins to be picked upI was told by the woman at the counter since I had my own insurance I wouldn't be charged but was anyway! I was told I would get my deposit back of $and months later I am still fighting to get this money back even when I initially called back in July to confirm this would be refunded and this had been released by this car rental "business" and the problem was with my credit card companyI filed a dispute with my card company who say the rental agency now says all charges are valid This company needs shut down and after reading all these complaints about the same issues it won't be around much longer

Horrible Rental Car company: The vehicle was not washed or cleaned inside or out at pick-up The back of the passenger seat was ripped off showing the foam nicks and dings all over the car- ALL OVER The vehicle had 35,000+ miles on it The front tires were worn down to almost being bald The employees were rude, un-classy, and disrespectful *They send waves or employees out to force you to take the vehicle before the manager will come out and then he is nasty, un-professional and mean

Stay away from this place....shady from start to finish Whether you have a copy of your policy or not, you will be charged for their insurance coverage, causing my total charge to more than double the amount quoted I am not sure how they get away with this Seems like pure fraud to meAlso, the paper we initialed upon receiving the vehicle, outlining all the damage we found, was never given to us The only receipt we got from the agency was the electronically signed copy of our charges When we returned the vehicle, the representative took that only paper from us, leaving no paper trail in our possession

This was one of the worst experiences I have hadI should have read these reviews prior to renting a car from this company but I went through [redacted] who I trusted to have selected good companies to work withI have emailed them my concerns and they are escalating my emailI hope that this company is removed from their provider list so that no one has to have this experienceAs others have described, I waited minutes for the shuttle after calling timesWhen we arrived at the office location, I had to wait another 35-minutesIt did have an overpowering perfume smell, but I was more concerned with the arguing between the customers and representativesOne customer had to even go into the closed manager's office, but you could see through the window and it was a very heated discussionhe stormed out and leftNo customers seemed happy at allThere were countless numbers of people hanging out inside and outside and everyone appeared distraughtThe gentleman in front of me was getting anxious and when he went up to sign the contract, he basically had some words with the rep and then turned to me as he decided to leave and said "good luck!"I walked up and the representative was not customer friendly as I wanted to let him know of my shuttle experience, he rudely told me that if I want to make this go more quickly, I would have had my DL and credit card out for himAs I handed him my bank card, he told me that I needed to have a major credit card, when I said that this was not in the terms of the agreement, he stated that if I wanted to use that card, then I MUST pay for their insuranceI told him that my insurance covered me, he restated that I MUST buy their insurance if I was to use my bank cardThey were also charging $per day for their toll transponder plus the actual cost of the tollsI told him that all of the terms were unacceptable and he told me that I should consider remaining calmI told him I was not going to rent a car form his company and he basically dismissed me and called the next guestWe did get back on their shuttle to the airport, on the way I went on [redacted] and quickly booked a car, walked into the airport to the counter where a very nice rep from [redacted] was ready to help me and had me on my way in about minutesNo hassles, no demands of insurance buying AND the toll transponder was $per day only if it was used! What a HUGE differenceI trusted [redacted] as I had used them before, but they really need to drop this Signature Economy Company from their list! Do not think you are getting a bargain as their methods are deceitful just to lure you in and they prey on your vulnerability

DON'T RENT FROM THEM - RUN!! I rented a car from Signature Economy Car Rental in Orlando through [redacted] when I flew to vacation in AugustI take responsibility for not reading their email - I have travelled a lot and have not had a rental car agency insist that you bring the liability page of your car insurance policy for verification However, I offered my insurance card but the obnoxious customer service agent said they don't deal with insurance companiesI offered her another option and got the same cocky responseThen she said "you either provide the liability page or take out our insurance or I'll cancel your reservation!" The couple next to me were also in a raging battle with a different customer service agent of which I have no idea of their issue but when I said "I won't use this company again" they vented, "we're getting screwed!"

It was a Horrible experience with "Economy Rent A Car"I made my reservation a week before I arrived Orlando FLI had to wait in line more than an hour before I can see an agentThe guy told me I have to buy their insurance for $per dayI told him both my credit card and my auto insurance cover my rental carHe insisted I have to buy their insurance and had to pay for toll charge $per dayI rent cars all the time I have never seen any place like thatI went back to the Airport and rent a car from [redacted] car rental without paying any insurance and toll charges I warn everybody Never Ever rent a car from "Economy Rent A Car" It is NOT Economy at all

A tale of two experienceChecking in was easy and promptminute wait for the airport shuttleDrops off at ground transportation, but overall not too badThe return trip was a HORROR STORYCalled the pickup number and pre-recorded message stated constant pickups at the airport and then disconnectedCOULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTHWaited over an hour at the pickup location, with a couple of people, and NO VANS showed upTrying to call was futile, given the pre-recorded message disconnects on youA couple of people TOOK CABS instead of waiting longerWorse yet, flagged down a driver who stated " I'm full, just wait more minutes for another van"Twenty minutes later, same driver finally shows upGot to parking lot, and car was not waiting (Valet parking?), so had to wait more minutesTWO HOURS elapsed time for car pickup, my flight was shorter! As far as using this service again, NOT IN MY LIFETIMEOnly recommended if you have nothing better to do but wait
