On July 10, I rented a car in the Orlando Airport from this companyThe first thing they asked for was my insurance policy which I obviously did not haveI showed the agent my auto insurance card and explained to him that my credit card provides rental car insurance, which it doesThe agent refused to rent me the car until I paid a $dollar a day insurance feeThen they tried to force me to get the $toll feeI had no choice but to accept the insurance fee because I did not have time to press the issueThe car itself was filthyThere was a spider web in the car with a live spiderWhen I called the next day to ask about the how to open gas cap cover and they did not want to helpI had to call the car manufacturer to get the informationFinally, before I returned the vehicle, I filled the gas tankWhen I returned the vehicle, the agent marked on the return form that the tank was 3/full and attempted to charge me for not filling the tankI noticed the error and had them correct itWhen I returned home, I called the national office about the insurance issue and they said the policy is on their websiteIt is, hidden behind several links and pagesThey need to make this insurance policy available to the customer no matter where they make the reservationThis whole experience is the worst car rental experience that I have ever hadI felt that I was being scammed the whole time

Signature Rent-A-Car and its employees are in the practice of forcing customers into purchasing additional damage protection on rental vehiclesWhen you need to place a claim for any damage, having thought you were covered, you are notThat was the experience I had with themAfter purchasing the additional coverage and being told by an employee that I was "covered for any and all damage to the vehicle", I was not Upon returning to the Orlando airport in the courtesy van there was not one of the seven customers that had a nice thing to say about this company and their experience with itLike them I will never use them againBeware of the additional insurance scam

Absolutely horrible experience here in July After reserving online, reading the fine print that you needed proof of insurance, we showed up for our $rental and were told it would be $I have full coverage insurance, but they decided instead of the $hold their website indicated for a security deposit, that they would add both my collision AND Comprehensive coverage together and that would be my deposit To make matters even worse, rather than charge the full amount (rental car cost plus security deposit) all at once, they would take my credit card and charge it for the rental IMMEDIATELY before telling me about their ridiculous deposit After their ludicrous deposit I told them forget it if, and we would go else where, SURPRISE me when the "lovely" counter representative informed me that he already charged my card for the rentalI told him absolutely not and to cancel the transaction as I would not be doing business with such a shady companyNow it will take 7-days for a refund of a charge that I a: did not authorize or sign for and b: told them not to put through STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! I understand they are a budget rental company and as such may not have the best quality review or service, but this was just over the top ridiculous all around hours later (after only a minute wait, mind you) we had a rental car through [redacted] and let me tell you [redacted] IS MUCH BETTER AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH and have an industry standard deposit/insurance practice

I reserved a car with Economy Rental through [redacted] for a day vacation in Orlando, FL($132.00), what I thought was a good deal I knew the Rental place was off site and we had to take a shuttle, What I did not know until I got on the Shuttle, was that it was minutes away from the Airport First Red Flag I got waited on right away and they wanted me to buy insurance, but I said I had my own and they said they would have to charge my Card in order for me to use my own insurance, but said that theirs was only total for the six days, so I took it We were tired and just wanted to start our long overdue vacation They then wanted me to buy the sun pass, but I said I would just pay the tolls, not knowing there are Many, many, many tolls in Florida (DUH!) We left the lot with a Nissan and it seemed ok The next day, Thursday, we enjoyed Animal Kingdom The park closed early because of the impending hurricane, which was fine, but as we were driving back to the hotel, we got a flat in the middle of a very busy intersection I pulled into a parking lot and it started to downpour and the radio was announcing that people should be off the road by 7pm, its was 530pm I called Signature and they said that the insurance that I purchased did not cover flats or roadside assistance and I was on my own and I would be responsible for the tire.!!! It was pouring and windy out, but my daughter decided that we could change the flat and luckily two very nice gentlemen helped us We drove on the donut until that Sunday and brought the car back to the dealer and come to find out a "plug"had come out of the tire and we were not responsible, thank god! Well, today I got a bill for $for tolls that I missed, but because I did not get the sunpass, this company charged my care $per incident for a grand total of 203.80!!! So my rental turned into a over rental with taxes and add ons DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, unless you want to get RIPPED OF!

After arriving at the MCO airport at 1050pm on 3/9/16, my sister contacted Economy for the promised shuttle transport offsite to pick up the carAfter an hour and a half wait (and two calls later to the call center), we were told a shuttle would not be coming and advised to get a cab to the offsite office to get a carThe cab driver commented that "they do this all the time; they don't tell customers that they don't have shuttles after midnight" Once there, approx1am, we joined about people, some there for hrs, waiting for their cars, including the women currently at the counterShe warned us all that the rental fees were tripling in real time due to energy fees, airport fees, mandatory insurance and sunpass fees, fuel fees, taxes and a facility feeShe was asked to produce the "declaration page" from her personal insurance policy as they do not recognize valid insurance cards nor accept faxed confirmation from the issuing companiesThe site is remote with no other rental options in the areaThis Mom, travelling with a young wrestler in Orlando for an early morning meet, finally got a car but returned inside moments later because the care was on EGlibly, the agent said "so, just return it empty" as he called the next customer up (mind you, he charged her a fuel fee) Our $rental for days swelled to $and we were ultimately charged for days even though we arrived at the site after midnight! We were charged a $fuel fee and used less than ¼ tank; we are convinced they charged the next customer another $for the gas remaining! The agent was rude, unprofessional and reprimanded his employees in Spanish in front of all the customersAs we were leaving, we clearly saw him standing behind the building with another man, "chilling", while he had a line of customers insideEveryone there was tired, disoriented to the area, frustrated and unfamiliar with any options so basically, held hostage in order to secure a car and get to their destinationsWe arrived at our hotel, about 16miles away, at 0250! The entire experience was frightening, exhausting and totally shady! We have contacted the Attorney General's office and were advised to complete their online complaint form as well as filing formal complaints on the Dept of Agriculture and Consumer fraud sitesWe will definitely be following through and strongly encourage others that have had similar experiences to file grievances as well

Horrible experience, I added optional insurance to the reservation when I booked online but was not enough for them , they overcharged me $ without my permission and hold $on my credit cardBad business, bad customer serviceI do not understand how this company is still operating in FloridaWhere is the state? Where is the government? Where are the elected officials that should protect the customers? Some thing is wrong here....people are getting ripped off and the responsible not doing anythingI am so dispointed of Florida

I have booked many cars in Florida and always been able to refuse insurrance based on my third party coverage Economy refused to rent me a car unless I took their insurraceI returned to the airport rented a car from *** with no insurrance issues
I see claims by this company about people needing to prove insurrace, but they business process is to surprise unsuspecting travelers and force high priced insurance on them I am surprised there is no Government oversight to shut them down

It's a BAIT AND SWITCHThey quote you a low price of $3/day + tax for a total of $10/day but when you get there you must buy all of their insurance so it becomes $60/day It doesn't matter if you have your own complete insurance you will have to buy theirsThis is how their business model operates and it is designed to cheat youIts a tourist town and people don't know better After taking a shuttle to the off site agency and waiting in line for minutes you find this out so your choices are to bend over and pay up or else wait for a shuttle back to the airport and go to another car rental agency! There is no WiFi there to help you of course How do the employees look at them selves in the mirror everyday? its not a legitimate business and should be shut and the sm put in jailPlease go elsewhere

I made a reservation in advance for days with a price of $a day but when I arrived on 12/I was told the lot was fullI showed the man my reservation and he said "Oh, sorry we overbooked, try the lot across the street." They charged times as much! I'm sure they were both taking advantage of the holiday season, but what good is a reservation if you can't be assured of a place to park?

Horrible businessTried to force me to buy insurance for an additional $per dayI was actually able to find my complete insurance policy on my phone, but it wasn't good enoughThen the employee lied right to my face, saying that it was a new law in Florida, and all the car rental places would have the same requirementI refused, and leftTook their own shuttle back to the airport, where I rented a car with*** in a minute and a half, with no insurance nonsenseDo OT use this businessThey should be shut down for fraud

This is the worst car rental company I have ever dealt withMy family has rented in Florida before and has never been required to have our insurance policy, but brought it with us anyways just in caseOur insurance company also told us that we would be covered in Florida just before we left, however upon getting to the rental company and showing them our insurance policy we were still told that we had to purchase their insuranceThe man also lied in telling us that we would run into tolls, some of them being $or more, and that there was $worth of tolls just driving back to the airportHe did this so that we would buy the $5/day "flat rate" for tolls from the companyWe declined luckily and found we only paid $to get to our hotel and most days ran into absolutely no tolls

I wish I would have looked at the Revdex.com website prior to booking It would have saved me some time and money Booked a minivan for my family for 3/18/ Took only a few minutes to wait for shuttle to drive to offsite rental facilty(Economy Rent a Car) Little did I know this would be it's only positive trait Waited in line at least min Very slow going Listened to one customer get angry because he had no car Manager quickly came over and they started talking My turn came up Took a little bit of time to check in but everything seemed ok Finally said he had to go get the car When he came back, very calmly said he did not have a minivan Not really contrite at all Like this happened all the time I started getting upset of course He said he didn't like my attitude I told him that it was based on his service Manager worked with us and after wasting min, he said he could give us a rate of $for days at *** We then took the shuttle back - shuttle driver said he takes people back every dayJokingly we said he probably didn't talk to anyone and just said the above to get us out Incredulously this is what happened!!
People at *** said they do this all the time! We then had to take a taxi to the port for our cruise ship We're quite lucky our plane arrived very early Had to eat the prepaid parking ticket we had purchased prior online Ordered a last minute one way rental for when we got back from our cruise which was quite high esp with one way
Learned to look here first Sad these people are in business still and amazingly *** works with them!! Puts a big black eye on*** and makes me leery of working with them again

This company is truly the worst car rental company I've usedFalse, misleading advertising is used to lure people in with their low quoted ratesSubsequently, exorbitant fees are charged at the counter which triple the chargeThis all takes place after your minute shuttle ride off-location, on the shuttle you've waited a half hour for alreadyAnd then, when you discover their hidden tactics, you are charged a $cancellation feeAnd you are now way off-location from the airport rental site to go back and rent from a legitimate company

Bottom line - stay far away
Made a reservation on*** the night before (first time I've done that) Everything seemed fairly standard - show up with your drivers license, etc What would happen is far from standard and easily the worst customer experience of my life - and for many others there as well, based on their reactions
My agreement was for a car for $7/day Of course, with taxes, fees, etc my final amount was around $52....nothing too crazy
After a shuttle ride (expected) and a wait in a short line the fun began They seemed shock when I declined their insurance I have my own excellent insurance (*** as well as renting with an AMEX) Why buy overpriced insurance from rental places?
It was explained I need my declaration page Never before have I needed this Now, I'm only years old and rent about a dozen cars a year and this was REALLY new
With my insurance card presented and an AMEX for my credit card, I was informed they would put a $hold on the card if I used my insurance What? Oh, I know - it's "company policy" (just saying that makes the employees think everything should be OK) Question....is it possible to have bad company policies?? I digress
I asked what happens to the hold....why is it there? If I had an accident, my insurance would be responsible...I pay my $deductible and they KEEP my $hold Confused? Yep, I was too My insurance pays and they keep my money Great policy....really friendly to the customer What a hustle
Not willing to risk my $hold I inquire about their insurance, which, of course, is the whole point Make it beyond stupid to use your own insurance and pay $25/day for theirs Later, I looked on their website (not super easy to find) and see there are actually options for insurance from them I was only told about option - $25/day with a $deductible Same as the insurance I already have....beautiful I've never opted for the insurance and not been COMPLETELY covered They do have that option but it was not shared with me for some reason
My final billed amount? $168....over three times what I was told online All because of a hustle
I stood outside and watched customer after customer either leave or come out angry I decided I simply could not do it I walk back in wanting to cancel I was told they could not refund (company policy)...only a manager could Well, where is the manager? At 1PM on a Tuesday no one knew They gave me a number to call One of the rudest girls ever informed there was no manger there either and because of company policy, there was nothing they could do No refunds...ever I had not touched the car But, with the all powerful company policy, I gave up This time inside did afford me the opportunity to see some people absolutely lose their minds and leave screaming profanities at the workers/company
The car is pulled around with 1/tank of gas (another first), dings and dents on both sidesThe attendant wrote down the damage IMPORTANT - I ended up taking pictures of the damage
On return, the first thing that happens is I am asked about the damage It's not written down, I'm told The sheet they gave me is not the one the attendant wrote on I was only given a receipt They said they would "try" to find the one he wrote on No thanks....here are some pictures Now run my card , release the hold and let me go
However, NOTHING can redeem the behavior inside or ridiculous company policies
Most companies that excel in the customer service industry do so because they look at the experience from the customers point of view Not here
In the past months they have received reviews on *** averaging - only because we can't go to ***? Same story
RUN AWAY It is not about the customer hereIf this is the kind of company used by***,etc...I'm done there too

We left our car with Signature for a week Drop off seemed OK When we returned to pick up our car we waited over an hour and a half to get our car back Fortunately we NEVER leave personal items or money in our car After asking them countless number of times where our car was finally they brought it out It was pretty dirty We did a walk around checking for damages and found none The car was dirtier than it has ever been but we were grateful to get out of there People were waiting and were sitting and standing all over the place Cars were pouring in, few were going out Transport vans back and forth from the airport were coming back and forth It was a zoo The drivers were the lucky ones, they didn't have to deal with the turmoil of find and returning cars It was New Years Eve and we vowed we would never deal with them again

The Revdex.com should be reprimanded if someone doesn't do something about this companyI rented September 28,and never, ever witnessed a business like thisIt is clear they are scam artistThere is no earthly reason The Revdex.com should allow this to continueI experienced everything the reviews statedTherefore they (Revdex.com) must be aware of what is going on

I got my car through *** and the day before leaving checked the reviews! I got ridiculously scared! Tons of reviews and only one starI called the night before renting and expressed my concernThey told me as along as my insurance covered rental cars (which it does) and was stated on the declaration page I would be fine! It was a easy as that! I actually couldn't get my declaration page because of the weekend BUT I brought the documentation needed to show my coverage and it was super easy! In addition, Jose Cwas super friendly, knowledgeable, and even helped add in a major upgrade for me! This is a deal folks if you have good insurance! Also use a major credit card!

I had made a reservation for Economy Rent a Car in Orlando, FL for May 2, through May 8, I made this reservation well in advance through rentalcars.com On my arrival, I contacted them to get picked upInstead I was told that they did not have a car for me The attempted to get me to pay extra for a smaller car I refused, was told there was nothing else they could do I ended up having to walk up to another car rental place to get a car I have made multiple attempts to speak with a customer relations agent in their national office, and to say he could be less interested would be an understatement Do NOT use Economy Rent a Car in Orlando or elsewhere Unscrupulous business practices to say the least

If I could give a zero star rating to Economy rental cars it would be too many stars!!!!

We had a reservation for a minivan scheduled for our family trip to Orlando, which is a trip we have been making for years We landed on time(pm) and I went to use the call box to alert Economy that we were ready for the shuttle to come get us to go get our rentalI waited on the phone for almost minutes for someone to answer our call, lovely wait music When they finally answered we were informed that since it was after 5, I had said we be arriving at 5, they had given our rental van away I informed the customer service rep, and I use the term lightly, that we had said that we were arriving at and were on time and ready to get our vanHe told me that they only hold the van for an hour and since it was after five they were allowed to give away our rental***! When I asked what they were going to do to replace the van with another they replied "nothing, it's not our fault"Then my husband took the phone and asked to speak to a supervisorThe rep hung up on him! We called them back and the new rep gave us the same run around We finally got to speak with a supervisor who insinuated that we must not travel a lot and was This our first trip to Orlando because we seems very naive about how car rentals workSERIOUSLY?!
Then when my husband finally got the supervisor to admit that even if they only hold the car for hour for rental pick up that should mean we have until pm to pick up our vanThe supervisor then stated that because it was now 5:there would be no way for them to send a shuttle to get us and get to them by pm so he was allowed to give away our rental regardless Can't make this crap upWorst place in OrlandoI will make sure to bad mouth them to all our friends and family to ensure that they NEVER use this crappy business and help spread the word to ensure others don't suffer the same experience
