Atlantic Furniture Service Reviews (100)

I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. It started with waiting 45 minutes for a shuttle to pick me up from the airport. It ended with them leaving my car in a unsecured and unlit field with a dead battery that had been replaced within the last three months. They refused to help me jump start the vehicle or provide any assistance. I walked a mile to a local Walmart to purchase a battery at midnight. In all of this turmoil I witnessed two people complaining that items had been stolen from their car and another couple that claimed the business lost their car. I have never expressed such disgust in a business. Please avoid them at all cost. The low rate is not worth it.

I reserved a rental from economy to be picked up on 9-2-16, upon getting to the rental facility I had to wait in line.once at the counter the representative went to see if the car I had reserved was available, he didn't say rather it was or not but offered a larger vehicle for more money,I went with it because I was tired of standing there. He then proceeding to half explain the insurance options, which sounded absurd compared to any other experience I've had renting cars,I chose a 15.99 a day coverage which was full coverage..as my family and I waited for the vehicle we noticed a man and woman taking photos, and video of the vehicle they were renting which raised a red flag for me. When the guy pulled up with the vehicle I was renting he walked around the car to access the car for any prior damage I'm guessing, I have never seen this done with any rental company I've rented from, another red flag for me.as the day progressed I noticed that the truck wouldn't start on the first try, but on the second, yet another red flag..during the 3rd day of having the truck and it began to rain I noticed that the defrost didn't work uh the truck...again another red flag, who rents out cars like this, I was returning it the next day so didn't feel the need to call them about it. Next day is return day, when we got there we didn't know the return procedure and there was a long line of cars, we were finally told we needed to go in by the shuttle bus driver, the guy outside went in the truck started it up then took the keys inside and I was seen by a man at the front desk, he asked how much was the deposit I had and asked me to sign the sheet and we went to get on the shuttle bus to go to the airport.upon returning home I went to a store and tried using my credit card, it was declined, didn't understand why so I checked my mobile account and seen that 1,000 for economy/signature rental car..I was livid...called to ask why was there a $1,000 charge on my card and after the lady had me on hold several times she tells me for damage to the front window??? I was confused and angry, if there was any damage why didn't I see it, why wasn't I told this before I left the rental facility??..I was told to email someone by the name of Andrew and is currently awaiting a response,I will not allow this company to take advantage of me asked anyone else,I wish I had read these reviews before hand because I wouldn't have rented from there at all!!! Please beware of economy car rental

We rented a car from this company through [redacted]. Problems started from the beginning. It took over 30 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport. When we got to the lot, the office was packed with people. We took our place in line. As we waited we watched 3 different angry customers walk out. There were words with the manager and at that point I became worried that this place might not be on the up and up. Not to mention, most of the angry customers were dads with kids waiting with them. Many of the kids became upset as well after hearing the arguing in this place of business. After waiting a long time in line, and overhearing something about insurance requirements I became concerned. Once we got to a representative and gave him our confirmation number, he proceeded to tell us that we had to use their insurance. We have full coverage and declined. However, the rep told us that the only way we can rent a car was to provide a copy of our car insurance policy and there would be a $1000 hold on our credit card. We have never had to provide this before to any car rental company. At this point we were very upset because we had landed over 1.5 hours ago and still did not have a car. Economy banks on the fact that they are offisite and most people will be run down and exhausted from travelling and now they are offsite so they feel like this is their only option. We took the shuttle back to the airport and rented from another company at the airport. We even used the kiosk with no problems or hassles. We were in our car within 30 minutes. This is not a professional company. They are scammers and deceitful. They take advantage of tired travelers. I will never rent a car from this company again. I would never recommend anyone use this company.

I reserved a car with Economy Rental through [redacted] for a 6 day vacation in Orlando, FL. ($132.00), what I thought was a good deal. I knew the Rental place was off site and we had to take a shuttle, What I did not know until I got on the Shuttle, was that it was 20 minutes away from the Airport. First Red Flag. I got waited on right away and they wanted me to buy insurance, but I said I had my own and they said they would have to charge my Card 1000.00 in order for me to use my own insurance, but said that theirs was only 120.00 total for the six days, so I took it. We were tired and just wanted to start our long overdue vacation. They then wanted me to buy the sun pass, but I said I would just pay the tolls, not knowing there are Many, many, many tolls in Florida (DUH!) We left the lot with a Nissan and it seemed ok. The next day, Thursday, we enjoyed Animal Kingdom. The park closed early because of the impending hurricane, which was fine, but as we were driving back to the hotel, we got a flat in the middle of a very busy intersection. I pulled into a parking lot and it started to downpour and the radio was announcing that people should be off the road by 7pm, its was 530pm. I called Signature and they said that the insurance that I purchased did not cover flats or roadside assistance and I was on my own and I would be responsible for the tire.!!! It was pouring and windy out, but my daughter decided that we could change the flat and luckily two very nice gentlemen helped us. We drove on the donut until that Sunday and brought the car back to the dealer and come to find out a "plug"had come out of the tire and we were not responsible, thank god! Well, today I got a bill for $3.80 for 4 tolls that I missed, but because I did not get the sunpass, this company charged my care $50.00 per incident for a grand total of 203.80!!! So my 132.00 rental turned into a over 500.00 rental with taxes and add ons. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, unless you want to get RIPPED OF!

After arriving at the MCO airport at 1050pm on 3/9/16, my sister contacted Economy for the promised shuttle transport offsite to pick up the car. After an hour and a half wait (and two calls later to the call center), we were told a shuttle would not be coming and advised to get a cab to the offsite office to get a car. The cab driver commented that "they do this all the time; they don't tell customers that they don't have shuttles after midnight". Once there, approx. 1am, we joined about 30 people, some there for 2 hrs, waiting for their cars, including the women currently at the counter. She warned us all that the rental fees were tripling in real time due to energy fees, airport fees, mandatory insurance and sunpass fees, fuel fees, taxes and a facility fee. She was asked to produce the "declaration page" from her personal insurance policy as they do not recognize valid insurance cards nor accept faxed confirmation from the issuing companies. The site is remote with no other rental options in the area. This Mom, travelling with a young wrestler in Orlando for an early morning meet, finally got a car but returned inside moments later because the care was on E. Glibly, the agent said "so, just return it empty" as he called the next customer up (mind you, he charged her a fuel fee). Our $109 rental for 4 days swelled to $308 and we were ultimately charged for 5 days even though we arrived at the site after midnight! We were charged a $20.00 fuel fee and used less than ¼ tank; we are convinced they charged the next customer another $20.00 for the gas remaining! The agent was rude, unprofessional and reprimanded his employees in Spanish in front of all the customers. As we were leaving, we clearly saw him standing behind the building with another man, "chilling", while he had a line of customers inside. Everyone there was tired, disoriented to the area, frustrated and unfamiliar with any options so basically, held hostage in order to secure a car and get to their destinations. We arrived at our hotel, about 16miles away, at 0250! The entire experience was frightening, exhausting and totally shady! We have contacted the Attorney General's office and were advised to complete their online complaint form as well as filing formal complaints on the Dept of Agriculture and Consumer fraud sites. We will definitely be following through and strongly encourage others that have had similar experiences to file grievances as well.

As numerous others, insurance is the main issue encountered. Even though I had proof of insurance, my insurance does not include "loss of use", which has never been an issue with any other car rental company. For that reason, the only choices available were to go to a different rental company (inconvenience and schedule issue) or take their insurance. What was supposed to be a $141 total cost turned into $240. While waiting in line for picking up the car (45 minutes), several very dissatisfied customers showed up - one with the same insurance issue, another because a hubcap was missing on the car for which he was being charged with, claiming it was missing when the car was picked up. The later had to be escorted outside! This is not an "economy" car rental organization.

I am writing to express my utter dissatisfaction with my rental car itinerary [redacted] Although I had never done business with economy rental, I figured that since [redacted] did business with them, I could trust them.... Boy was I wrong. I have been renting cards for over 20 years and never have I experienced such predatory car rental service in my life!

I booked a rental car for a full size car for 11/22-11/28, price summary as follows:
Price summary
Total: $134.79
Base Price: $90.00
Taxes & Fees: $44.79

Unless otherwise specified, rates are quoted in USD. The total price includes all mandatory taxes and fees.
Rental fees are due at pick-up.
Mileage: Unlimited mileage.

When I arrived at the rental car facility, I noticed that the vast majority of customers were leaving upset, and remember thinking to myself how odd that was. Then there was a loud argument with one customer and Guillermo L[redacted], I later found out his name because I was the next customer in his line. I showed Guillermo my printed [redacted] confirmation. He then told me that I was required to buy their insurance. I explained that I had rental car insurance through my Amex and that I had my own [redacted] policy. He said that in order for me to used my own insurance that I had to have brought a printed copy of the entire insurance binder and that my card alone would not suffice. Imagine my surprise when my rental went from $134.79 to $321.54!!! Above and beyond the shock of the increase in price, he spoke in a condescending tone and actually told me that I was still getting a better deal than other rental car agencies. He then had my sign something electronically without explaining anything and said that they would bring the printed contract out to me outside.

Then he told me that the car I had reserved wasn't available but that he would give me an "upgrade". Our "upgrade" was filthy, half a tank and looked like it was just returned. When my husband and I reviewed the contract closely... the numbers just didn't make sense.
1. We were being charged tax when my [redacted] price included tax. (Taxes & Fees: $44.79)
2. Something else was off but we couldn't figure it out

We asked the Valet to call over the manager and immediately I was met with the same condescending tone that was offered by Guillermo. I believe the managers name was Andrew. He was rude, unapologetic and talked down to me no matter how nicely I tried to explain that something was off. Finally, I had to ask him to stop speaking to me in such a rude tone, it was at that point my husband lost his temper and raised his voice at Andrew. Andrew then stormed off and said that he was cancelling our contract. As he was walking away, he realized that we were being charged $132 per week instead of $90 which he claimed was the correct price. Without an apology, I was issued a $-48.93 credit. At this point I was still being charged $272.61 instead if the $134.79 I was provided by [redacted]. Both my husband and I were furious, my 9-year-old was scared, but were left with no other option then to take the overpriced rental car. What a horrible way to start my Thanksgiving Family vacation.

I waited until I got back from my vacation to contact [redacted] because I didn't want to further ruin my vacation. I am so very upset and surprised that [redacted] would do business with such a dishonest company that uses bait and switch pricing to lure one-time customers in and take advantage of people. As a long time [redacted] client, I just can't see how [redacted] can do business with these people, and to be honest, I went from trusting [redacted] vendors blindly to now having to vet all vendors going forward, my trust has been broken. After this experience I researched this rental agency and saw that they have horrible reviews on the web.

It was the most horrible experience I have ever had. People working there are extremely rude and very unprofessional. Here is my story.....
Unfortunately I had an unpleasant incident. One morning, I found a small dent ( just dent without scratches) on the right passenger door. I informed the hotel front desk and called the police. Police did all necessary papers and gave me the number of the case for the rental cars office. The [redacted] started when I came to Economy office to drop off the car. The manager told me that I must pay 2,000 here and now.
He explained this by saying that I have Standard policy with $2,000 deductible and I am obliged to pay this amount. After nasty negotiations he graciously agreed to reduce the amount up to 1000. Once again, I refused to pay (first jf all it was not my fault, and secondly, the car had not damaged on that amount). And here began the pressure, rudeness and threats. They threatened me that they will call to the airport and will put me on black list.
They tried to lure the money in an aggressive manner as they could, they asked me to ring up friends and relatives that they transferred me to the necessary amount. A little later, when I opened my purse that would get my credit card, the manager began to talk in a mocking tone that he sees that I have a few cards and began to demand to give them to him one by one that he could check and find the card with that amount.
After another portion of an unpleasant conversation, they told me that they will put on hold $500 to clarify the circumstances. A couple of hours later, I saw that the economy is trying to charge $900 from my account the next day they charged, or rather stolen already $1,000 instead holding $500

Currently I am in the process of hearing and mentally preparing for the long-term hassle

We had the same experience as several other reviewers and the "F" rating by Revdex.com is truly deserved. They advertise a great price, but are running an insurance scam that tries to take advantage of people who don't know how legitimate car rental companies work. They go through the entire rental process and right at the end ask you for proof of insurance. The insurance card issued by your insurer is not acceptable, they will not accept a fax of the policy, an email of the policy unless it is directly from your insurer, they will not accept the insurance that comes with your credit card. In short, you must buy their insurance at unbelievably high rates (starts at $30 a day with a high deductible). They lied to us and said "insurance has changed in FL and every rental car company now requires a hard copy of your insurance policy". Blatant lie as we took the shuttle back to the airport and picked up a car no problem. This is a scam business and the FL attorney general needs to shut them down!!!

Economy Orlando Florida car rental is the worst place I have ever rented a car from! We had a 30 minute wait at the airport for the van that brought us to the rental office. We waited two hours to get to the counter!!! Then they expected me to have insurance paperwork with my deductible on it. This was a disappointing way to start our vacation. I would not recommend this Company to anybody.

We had the worst car rental experience with this business. The customers are forced to buy the overpriced car insurance, overcharge stuffs without any explanation, extreme bad customer service at the counter, multiple inappropriate business practices etc.

Signature Economy Car Rental is the worst rental car company I have ever rented from. They are unorganized and also cheat you if you are not prepared. I watched while I was in the very long line and saw customer after customer getting very upset. I decided to pull my auto insurance up on my phone to have ready to prove I didn't need to buy their "coverage". Sure enough when I got up in line they told me I had to buy their insurance unless I had a platinum or gold american express, which is not true. The card I had on me had the same coverage's that the Amex's offered. I told the girl that she could not make me buy it since I had coverage through my own auto insurance and more through my credit card I was using. As expected she asked to see my auto coverage's and I showed her on my phone. She held $750 on my credit card as a deposit during our vacation for my deductibles if I got into an accident. Which I have never had any car rental do before. Then I wanted to add a driver on so I had called ahead of time to ask how much it would be per day and he told me $5.00. So when I told the girl to add a driver she said it would be $10 per day and I told her about my conversation on the phone the day before and she said that no it would be $10. I told her that the person I talked to had made notes online that it was $5 and sure enough it was there and she was forced to give it to me for $5. Such cheaters. They must be on some kind of incentives/bonus program to get the price up as much as possible. Then they do not show you your contract and make you sign on a pad above this high wall you stand at and when I got outside to get the car they had charged me $22.00 more than I had contracted with through [redacted], after the extra amount for the add'l driver. 2 days later our car breaks down and they said we would have to get it to their site on our expense and then they would give us a new car. When we dropped the car off and I went inside to give them my paperwork, I stood and watched this poor man argue and get cheated by them. Made me sad, wish I could have helped him because I could tell there was a language barrier. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I am so thankful I was prepared or I might have been out hundreds of dollars.

rented car on line was baited with low price of 165. day of pickup I was told new price of 294. was told I could cancel an go some ware else. .or pay their new price. I had no insurance policy on me from my own car to proof rental car coverage or a letter from my credit card claim they would cover the rental (witch they do) after beaning threaten with physical expulsion from there property (mr Guillermo l[redacted] claims I wasn't Humble enough ) so @ 68 years of age an with 3 grandkids waiting I Humble myself an payed them what there wanted ..never agen

Such horrible service!!we had full coverage insurance and proof..they then wanted our deductible for deposit. So purchased there insurance wich was 213.00 more...then they wanted 150 deposit we would get back within 48 hrs after return.this is not happening takes up to4 weeks!!they are ripping people off !!!

Booked Through [redacted] a weekly car rental in Orlando. I was quoted $140 for the rental. After being told I needed to furnish a complete Insurance Policy and a slew of hidden charges, my bill ended up at $410!! They would not even show the contract and stuffed it in the glove box and scooted us out. This business is a scam, and if Florida's Attorney general does not investigate the numerous complaints, it shows you where the corruption rides. [redacted] has yet to reply to numerous emails, so I guess there will be no satisfaction.

SHUTTLE BUS LEFT US OFF AT BEGINNING OF LOWER LEVEL 1, RATHER THAN THE END OF LEVEL 3 FOR [redacted] WHERE WE WERE SCHEDULED TO GET A WHEEL CHAIR FOR MY WIFE. THIS WAS A PAINFUL WALK.

WHEN WE RETURNED TO SIGNATURE TO PICK UP OUR CAR, IT WAS TOTAL CHAOS. THERE WERE 40 TO 50 PEOPLE PICKING UP OR RENTING CARS. IT TOOK ME 1 1/2 HOURS TO GET MY CAR. IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN MUCH LONGER, IF I HAD NOT LOUDLY DEMANDED MY CAR DUE TO MY ILL WIFE. THE LACK OF ATTENTION TO MY NEEDS COULD NOT BE WORSE.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had. I should have read these reviews prior to renting a car from this company but I went through [redacted] who I trusted to have selected good companies to work with. I have emailed them my concerns and they are escalating my email. I hope that this company is removed from their provider list so that no one has to have this experience. As others have described, I waited 50 minutes for the shuttle after calling 3 times. When we arrived at the office location, I had to wait another 35-45 minutes. It did have an overpowering perfume smell, but I was more concerned with the arguing between the customers and representatives. One customer had to even go into the closed manager's office, but you could see through the window and it was a very heated discussion. he stormed out and left. No customers seemed happy at all. There were countless numbers of people hanging out inside and outside and everyone appeared distraught. The gentleman in front of me was getting anxious and when he went up to sign the contract, he basically had some words with the rep and then turned to me as he decided to leave and said "good luck!". I walked up and the representative was not customer friendly as I wanted to let him know of my shuttle experience, he rudely told me that if I want to make this go more quickly, I would have had my DL and credit card out for him. As I handed him my bank card, he told me that I needed to have a major credit card, when I said that this was not in the terms of the agreement, he stated that if I wanted to use that card, then I MUST pay for their insurance. I told him that my insurance covered me, he restated that I MUST buy their insurance if I was to use my bank card. They were also charging $10 per day for their toll transponder plus the actual cost of the tolls. I told him that all of the terms were unacceptable and he told me that I should consider remaining calm. I told him I was not going to rent a car form his company and he basically dismissed me and called the next guest. We did get back on their shuttle to the airport, on the way I went on [redacted] and quickly booked a car, walked into the airport to the counter where a very nice rep from [redacted] was ready to help me and had me on my way in about 15 minutes. No hassles, no demands of insurance buying AND the toll transponder was $3.95 per day only if it was used! What a HUGE difference. I trusted [redacted] as I had used them before, but they really need to drop this Signature Economy Company from their list! Do not think you are getting a bargain as their methods are deceitful just to lure you in and they prey on your vulnerability.

The company called Economy was very unreliable and I had a horrible experience with them. Firstly it was off site from the airport so I had to take a shuttle there. 2ndly, the agent David who claimed to be the manager was not the least bit hospitable or courteous. Instead he was very rude and completely out of line! He tried to force me to buy insurance, I explained that I already have full coverage and did not need insurance. He insisted that if I don't buy the insurance I cannot have the car. Considering I had my 2 small children and wife with me, I agreed to the insurance, but then he went on to say he no longer wanted me to rent a car and demanded I get off the property??? I asked for management and he did not let me speak to anyone and claimed he was the manager! I called the police to notify them of this scam and the sheriff indicated that he receives multiple complaints about that company on a daily basis! Not wanting to waste anymore time of my vacation (it had been over an hour) I had to return to the airport and rent a car from a different company for a very high price due to last minute booking!

This was a horrible experience! I will never ever book with them again and recommend for no one else to use them either! What is the point of having a rental reservation confirmed when they change everything when you arrive?!

They literally LOST my car keys!! DO NOT park here.

Last week, I arrived at Signature Parking to retrieve my car after being out of town for a week. When I got there, I realized it was taking an unusually long time for them to retrieve my car. My vehicle was parked right next to the main building, so I told them to just give me my keys and not worry about pulling it up. That is when they told me they could not find my keys, but not to worry, because they were around somewhere.

This waiting around turned into over an hour during which I could tell the staff were talking about not being able to locate my keys. I asked if I could help look, so I went into the key closet and searched through every key hanging on the wall (which was extremely unorganized), and my keys definitely weren't in there. They said sometimes the valet boys will grab several keys at a time and they could have accidentally dropped in someone else's car or outside.

Long story short, this turned into me sitting at Signature Parking for over 4 hours. They ended up calling a locksmith around hour 3 to come make me a new key. Sure, they apologized a few times, but when I repeatedly asked for a supervisor, they kept saying that the General Manager was not on duty and that I would have to wait for him to come into the office the next day to do anything to compensate me for my troubles. In addition, they kept claiming that this happens at all car parking places and that "it's part of the industry". This wasn't the first time this happened either. Many of the valet boys told me this happened a few months back and they ended up finding the keys in someone else's car. I am not up on my industry standards, but I have parked at quite a few parking places, and this had never happened before.

While sitting around for 4 hours, I was able to observe some less-than professional customer service from the management. One manager told an elderly couple to "stop whining" because they were voicing their frustration that their car was taking a long time to get pulled up. Another woman was upset because they left her car windows down overnight and the manager, again, told her to stop complaining.

The Customer Service Manager, Frank, who I primarily dealt with kept exclaiming that they were just paying for the locksmith because they liked me and it wasn't like they were obligated to get me a new key. He was seriously trying to act like he was doing me a favor...?

Am thinking about filing a claim with the Revdex.com because this place is extremely unprofessional. Would highly suggest paying a few extra dollars and parking somewhere else to save yourself the trouble of dealing with these amateurs.

Signature Rent-A-Car and its employees are in the practice of forcing customers into purchasing additional damage protection on rental vehicles. When you need to place a claim for any damage, having thought you were covered, you are not. That was the experience I had with them. After purchasing the additional coverage and being told by an employee that I was "covered for any and all damage to the vehicle", I was not.
Upon returning to the Orlando airport in the courtesy van there was not one of the seven customers that had a nice thing to say about this company and their experience with it. Like them I will never use them again. Beware of the additional insurance scam.
