Atlantic Furniture Service Reviews (100)

First of all, I have never seen such bad customer service is my life. I was second in line when I went to pick it up and it took almost an hour to get to me. Multiple people were beyond upset, not just me. It seems like they also offer parking if you just want to drop off you car. Anyhow, according to this lady, she has been waiting for over 3 hours because they couldn't find her car and these people were just clueless as to how to help her. Also, besides giving me a dirty car without ANY gas (I had to immediately stop at a gas station), they never explained to me about the toll nightmare in Orlando and that they have a Sunpass (like an EZ-Pass) service. I had to call the next day to add it because I simply didn't know it existed. That's something customer service should tell you about because guess what? Some tolls in Orlando, they either only accept EXACT change or only the Sunpass. And if you happened to just drive by on of then because you had no choice, Econony gives you a penalty of $100. Isn't that just not right? The city doesn't charge you extra if you just drove by, they simply send the bill to the address of where the car is registered to. So if it's $1, you pay $1....with economy, they pay $1 to the city, but they charge you $100 for it. Unbelieveable. When I dropped off the car, more people were fighting with customer service AGAIN. And to end the experience, the economy shuttle driver that took us to the airport was TEXTING the whole time. He thought he was being sneaky about it but I managed to see it happening during the entire drive to the airport. I took a couple of pictures of him texting that I'm planning to share. It's very clear in the picture what's happening and it has the vehicule ID. It's very upsetting how someone can do that while driving families. My wife is pregnant and having him do that while we were in the car, it's unacceptable. I'll make sure Economy hears all this.

NEVER AGAIN!! My husband found what we thought was a great deal when booking online. We took the shuttle from the airport to the off site rental office (with a 2yr old, car seat, stroller & luggage in tow). The place was packed with people lined up to the door - ok, busy, we can be patient. When we finally got to the counter about 30-45 min later, we told the employee (whose name I unfortunately did not get) that we did not need their insurance because we had a full coverage policy. We did not have our insurance card with us, but my husband called our agent right away to have the policy emailed. The woman at the counter got impatient and told us that even WITH proof of our own insurance, they would put a $1000 hold on our credit card! Ummm....no way. Without using our own insurance - we were the charge would be $75 per day plus additional fee. We told her that policy was ridiculous and we never saw this "policy" when booking. She got heated and completely RUDE (to the point her own coworker told her to chill out!) After 2 hours at this crap hole, we left, only to take the shuttle back to the airport and proceed to rent a car through[redacted], who did not charge us for insurance or even make us provide proof of our own (although we did indeed have it by that point). The gentleman there also told us hes had many customers come back to them with similar stories. Save yourself the hassle! This place is NO BARGAIN! Get your rental from an on site, reputable business! We wasted three hours of our vacation with this mess.

I will Never, Ever rent a car from them again. I have been traveling to Florida for many years to visit family. I always rent a car at the airport. This time Economy seemed to have a good deal online. I reserved a car aT this off-site rental. The shuttle took 1/2 hr to arrive. When I got to rental facility, the line was at the door, people crammed in small area with music blasting like a nite club. It was 1/2 hr before I spoke to agent. I was required to get their insurance, as I did not have my insurance with me (like most people, it stay in the car) they wanted policy# and deductible. If my elderly mother was not waiting for me, I would have taken the shuttle back to airport to rent there. Then they tried to scare me into renting their SunPass. $50 penalty for each time I go thru toll unpaid. They held money on credit card as deposit. Had to return car with 3/4 tank gas. returning car, pulled up to attendant checked car, gave me a paper, go into the same crammed room with blasting music and waited to give paper to agent. Waited for shuttle to bring to airport. Worst car rental experience Of my life!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! They are a scam! HUGE HIDDEN FEES THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE!!! We reserved a car for $95.51 for one week rental. In the email conformation it stated all taxes and fees included. They took forever to get us a car when we arrived and when we finally got one they rushed us through everything. They ran our credit card in the beginning but never signed anything until the very end when they handed us the keys and a folded up piece of paper. They charged us over $266. I strongly recommend using a reputable rental car company.

It was a Horrible experience with "Economy Rent A Car". I made my reservation a week before I arrived Orlando FL. I had to wait in line more than an hour before I can see an agent. The guy told me I have to buy their insurance for $12 per day. I told him both my credit card and my auto insurance cover my rental car. He insisted I have to buy their insurance and had to pay for toll charge $5 per day. I rent cars all the time I have never seen any place like that. I went back to the Airport and rent a car from [redacted] car rental without paying any insurance and toll charges.

I warn everybody Never Ever rent a car from "Economy Rent A Car" It is NOT Economy at all.

This place is very shady. They made me put a 1,000 deposit after I had already paid for the rental. The day of return I had to go through a Sun Pass toll which had no cash lane, just pass lane. I was told from Signature Rent a car that if they get the violation that I will be charged 50.00. Frank said very rudely " you should have just paid for the 27.00 toll pass" Even though I only had to go through 2 tolls the entire trip. Called Sun Pass and hoping they can resolve it so I do not get charged anything further. Frank was completely unprofessional, rude. I will never rent from this company again and suggest you stay far away!!

Worst experience ever! When I first booked this rental on [redacted] it didn't say this was offsite so we waited at the airport 45 mins to be picked up. I was told by the woman at the counter since I had my own insurance I wouldn't be charged but was anyway! I was told I would get my deposit back of $150.00 and 6 months later I am still fighting to get this money back even when I initially called back in July to confirm this would be refunded and this had been released by this car rental "business" and the problem was with my credit card company. I filed a dispute with my card company who say the rental agency now says all charges are valid. This company needs shut down and after reading all these complaints about the same issues it won't be around much longer.

Stay away from this place....shady from start to finish. Whether you have a copy of your policy or not, you will be charged for their insurance coverage, causing my total charge to more than double the amount quoted. I am not sure how they get away with this. Seems like pure fraud to me. Also, the paper we initialed upon receiving the vehicle, outlining all the damage we found, was never given to us. The only receipt we got from the agency was the electronically signed copy of our charges. When we returned the vehicle, the representative took that only paper from us, leaving no paper trail in our possession.

On July 10, 2016 I rented a car in the Orlando Airport from this company. The first thing they asked for was my insurance policy which I obviously did not have. I showed the agent my auto insurance card and explained to him that my credit card provides rental car insurance, which it does. The agent refused to rent me the car until I paid a $15 dollar a day insurance fee. Then they tried to force me to get the $5 toll fee. I had no choice but to accept the insurance fee because I did not have time to press the issue. The car itself was filthy. There was a spider web in the car with a live spider. When I called the next day to ask about the how to open gas cap cover and they did not want to help. I had to call the car manufacturer to get the information. Finally, before I returned the vehicle, I filled the gas tank. When I returned the vehicle, the agent marked on the return form that the tank was 3/4 full and attempted to charge me for not filling the tank. I noticed the error and had them correct it. When I returned home, I called the national office about the insurance issue and they said the policy is on their website. It is, hidden behind several links and pages. They need to make this insurance policy available to the customer no matter where they make the reservation. This whole experience is the worst car rental experience that I have ever had. I felt that I was being scammed the whole time.

Big rippoff. Didn't live up to the price when made the reservation. Didn't accept credit card insurance . Wanted to charge me another $20 / day. Sleazy counter people ( Raymond T[redacted]) then tried to negotiate with me. Wouldn't put me in touch with supervisor. Wouldn't give me details of main corporate office. Whatever your policy was, it was hidden from customers instead of putting it in BOLD FRONT when making reservation. What a scam ! Didn't rent car. WIll never again rent from Economy.

DON'T RENT FROM THEM - RUN!!
I rented a car from Signature Economy Car Rental in Orlando through [redacted] when I flew to vacation in August. I take responsibility for not reading their email - I have travelled a lot and have not had a rental car agency insist that you bring the liability page of your car insurance policy for verification. However, I offered my insurance card but the obnoxious customer service agent said they don't deal with insurance companies. I offered her another option and got the same cocky response. Then she said "you either provide the liability page or take out our insurance or I'll cancel your reservation!" The couple next to me were also in a raging battle with a different customer service agent of which I have no idea of their issue but when I said "I won't use this company again" they vented, "we're getting screwed!"

I agree with most of the reviews as I too had a ad experience with this car rental company. I arrived at the airport not knowing that the lot was not at the airport and no signage as to where I should go, so I had to ask around to gain the information I needed to reach my destination. The driver kept assuring us that we would be there shortly. I believe that it took us 20 minutes to get to the car lot. I was in line with approximately 6 other groups of people when I noticed them speaking amongst themselves and some got out of line. I asked the couple in front of me what was going on and they replied that you had to have a copy of your car insurance or had to pay for Signature car rental insurance and that it as pretty expensive. I frantically started looking online for my policy. I couldn't remember my password and then had to go through all of that process to finally login to my account. Once I reached my account I was next in line. I tried to bring up my policy and it would not load. Finally it came up. By the way, I have been in line for about 20 minutes here and it would have been more if people hadn't got out of the line. Customers were very irritated and expressing their views as I walked past to the next available clerk. I told the clerk my name and he replied that he had to see my reservation paperwork. I tried to explain that if I did that I would loss my information regarding my car insurance and he replied that he could not help me unless I showed him the reservation paperwork first. Here I go out to the email conformation paperwork and was hoping the whole time that I could get back to the car insurance paperwork that he would need next. It took a minute or so but I was able to locate the policy again. I tried to ask questions as to why they were so intense about the documents and he replied that there are several car rental places that require the same as they do and that I must not have rented a car lately. Which is so far from the truth. I rent cars at least once a quarter or more and they ask me my name and don't require anything but an insurance card in some cases. I never have to bring up my conformation paperwork, I just hand them my driver's license. Most times now I just use their kiosks and go pick my car. Simple right? Not Signature/Economy Car rental. I guess you get what you pay for. Now or the condition of the car. There was no cruise control, the rear of the car had been hit in an accident, and the back seats were very soiled. When I finally had all of this documented and they handed me the keys I was about and hour past the time I would have been if I had rented a car from like say [redacted]. I left in fear that I missed something and that they would charge me on my credit card when I returned it. I stopped at the gas station down the street from the car lot to purchase a drink and snack before I entered the highway. The clerk there asked me about my night and I replied that it was good until I went to a car rental place it get a car. She said oh you must be talking about Economy car rental and I replied yes. She then stated that I was lucky they had a car. WOW!!! Even the community knows how bad they conduct business. When I returned the car I heard a lady complaining about a flat tire that she had had. Then I heard the clerk state that she would be charged for the tire. She was irate, but she was not the only one. I was very lucky on this end of my journey and got out of the place owing exacting what I was quoted minus the inconveniences. I then got on a bus to take me back to the airport and everyone on the bus was talking about their experiences and they was not good ones. I could not believe that this company thinks that they can continue to deceive people and get away with it or stay in business. This company is not forth right and their communication skills are very lacking.

Horrible experience. Will never use again. They lied and told us we had to pay 40 for tolls no other option. We also had insurance card but insisted on showing our entire policy which we do not carry on us. We were told price would be 134.00 for the week will all tax and fees. Which I had in writing. We were charged 330.00 and had to put an additional 150.00 deposit down

Horrible! Worst experience ever. The car rental place was economy rental. This place gets 0 stars..Wish I would've read the reviews before I went to this place. I was scammed like everyone else..I was quoted 50$ online and I came with my insurance card in hand to be told they hold double your insurance deductible on your credit card. To add insult to injury I left my headphones and case under the seat and didn't notice until I got on the airplane. I called them before and after my flight a total of 15 times to only get hung up on , put on hold, and giving the run around and told they would call me back if they turned up. I don't believe they even looked where I told them they were or they found them and stole my property! They say there is no management or supervisor on staff. This place is a joke and their staff are thieves, I will never go through this company again..STAY AWAY!

This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. I reserved a car with signature/economy because they seemed to have the best rate. Got to the facility around 1am with a baby and another child. They told me I was being charged for the aviation of the car, $35 for the tolls and $1000 deposit if I use my own insurance. If I use theirs then I have to pay the cost of the vehicle, the tolls and another $150 deposit. Then they didn't have anything similar to what I reserved and offered to upgrade me to a non child friendly vehicle. For the same cost. When I asked for something smaller they said they could give me a $10 discount. I was furious. After I called another car rental pace and reserved another car for only $200, I told them I didn't want to rent with them. At their point they had already charged my card for $450 so now I had to wait for a refund and would not be able to use that specific card for the duration of my trip as I was waiting for the refund. I ended up not reaching my destian6until 4 am. My children were exhausted as was I. The manager never came out to speak to myself or the other 3 customers who left furious and without a vehicle. I would not recommend this company. I checked Revdex.com and their rating of this company is an F I also found out they are not Evernote accredited by the Revdex.com. Worst place to rent a vehicle and I rent at least once a yr. In orlando.

Absolutely horrible experience here in July 2017. After reserving online, reading the fine print that you needed proof of insurance, we showed up for our $190 rental and were told it would be $990. I have full coverage insurance, but they decided instead of the $200 hold their website indicated for a security deposit, that they would add both my collision AND Comprehensive coverage together and that would be my deposit.

To make matters even worse, rather than charge the full amount (rental car cost plus security deposit) all at once, they would take my credit card and charge it for the rental IMMEDIATELY before telling me about their ridiculous deposit.

After their ludicrous deposit I told them forget it if, and we would go else where, SURPRISE me when the "lovely" counter representative informed me that he already charged my card for the rental. I told him absolutely not and to cancel the transaction as I would not be doing business with such a shady company. Now it will take 7-10 days for a refund of a charge that I a: did not authorize or sign for and b: told them not to put through.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

I understand they are a budget rental company and as such may not have the best quality review or service, but this was just over the top ridiculous all around.

4 hours later (after only a 20 minute wait, mind you) we had a rental car through[redacted] and let me tell you. [redacted] IS MUCH BETTER AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH and have an industry standard deposit/insurance practice.

A tale of two experience. Checking in was easy and prompt. 10 minute wait for the airport shuttle. Drops off at ground transportation, but overall not too bad. The return trip was a HORROR STORY. Called the pickup number and pre-recorded message stated constant pickups at the airport and then disconnected. COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. Waited over an hour at the pickup location, with a couple of people, and NO VANS showed up. Trying to call was futile, given the pre-recorded message disconnects on you. A couple of people TOOK CABS instead of waiting longer. Worse yet, flagged down a driver who stated " I'm full, just wait 10 more minutes for another van". Twenty minutes later, same driver finally shows up. Got to parking lot, and car was not waiting (Valet parking?), so had to wait 10 more minutes. TWO HOURS elapsed time for car pickup, my flight was shorter! As far as using this service again, NOT IN MY LIFETIME. Only recommended if you have nothing better to do but wait.

Horrible Rental Car company:
The vehicle was not washed or cleaned inside or out at pick-up.
The back of the passenger seat was ripped off showing the foam.
nicks and dings all over the car- ALL OVER.
The vehicle had 35,000+ miles on it.
The front tires were worn down to almost being bald.
The employees were rude, un-classy, and disrespectful.
*They send 3 waves or employees out to force you to take the vehicle before the manager will come out and then he is nasty, un-professional and mean.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AT MCO!
10/21/16
This company came up as an option on an online travel site. Right after it was booked, I was offered a car rental policy for $10 per day. I took that, also.
Big Mistake.
I went to the kiosk they told me about and when I dialed the displayed number for Signature, it wouldn't go through. Tried this at 5 phones with same results. Finally I had their 888 number (just in case the phone didn't work). Waited 15 minutes for someone to answer. Asked where I was at and told to go to some lane out front. Asked several strangers before I found their "courtesy" van.
When we got to the agency, I had to wait in line for over an hour. Got up to the counter and handed them my credit card, driver's license, my [redacted] policy and the policy I bought on line.
My experience seems to parallel many of the other reviews. Pretty much pushed in to buying their insurance coverage. Their policy does not cover windshield and tire damage which notification was applied with a rubber stamp on the rental form which I was not allowed to see until after charges were applied to credit card and was handed to me by the employee after we checked out the car for damage.
I did not check the gas gauge (stupid me but they had worn me down) but later discovered that I had less than 1/2 tank after very little driving. It could not have been full.
I've learned my lesson; stick with the big name agencies. They may seem to be more expensive on the surface but they stand behind their reputations.
My $129.80 (including all taxes) quote cost $237.08.
Base charge - $ 90.00
Facility charge - $10.00
Sales tax - 14.63
Florida Surcharge - $10.00
Vehicle License Fee - $10.00
Airport Tax - $22.50
Energy Fee - $4.95
Tire/Battery fee - $10.00

This business has no management that knows what there doing. It took 1.5 hours for them to bring my car out of their lot. Others there where still waiting after three hours. They have poor process for dealing with the task. Park cars and bring them back on request. Should be easy to do but they cannot get it done
