same as everyone else! Ridiculous-I ordered free sample of cream and serum by paying shipping fee $5.87 & $4.87. I processed the order by guest customer, and I didn't see the term and agreement for subscription. 20 days later, I was charged for $87.50 & $85.20 by my credit card.

Opt-out subscription attached to "free" sample.
Following is the complaint I sent Avan Derm Nu via their website email. The unordered shipment arrived 1/23/18 and I called customer service 1/24/18. Customer service rep. Chris explained that I could RMA the shipment and be charged a $20 restock fee, or keep the shipment and receive a $60 refund to my credit card. He issued cancellation #XXXXXX to end the subscription.
"Before I had a chance to use the "free" sample Avan Derm Nu long enough to know whether I wanted to order more of it, another jar arrived in the mail. When I phoned the customer service number to report my receipt of something I hadn't ordered, I learned that I had a monthly subscription for $87.50 per shipment. Although I cancelled the subscription, I will only be credited a partial refund for this shipment.
After this experience, I will never buy Avan Derm Nu again, even if it turns out to be the greatest product ever, and will warn anyone I find is interested in it about its opt-out policy.
I hope the powers-that-be at Avan Derm Nu will end this opt-out policy, which in my mind makes it seem that they are taking unfair advantage of their customers."

Desired Outcome

Preferably end the opt-out subscription policy altogether. At least explain the opt-out subscription policy for those choosing to be shipped a "free" sample for only a shipping charge.

Ms., When you order on our website you must agree to the terms and conditions which state that after 14 days + 4 days of shipping you will be charged for the bottles if you do not call to cancel and return the product. Per terms and conditions all used products are non-returnable or refundable once past the 14-day trial period. The trial started from the time you placed the order on 12/02/17 until 12/20/17. Because your account was not cancelled, you were billed and shipped a new supply on 01/19/18. Your account was cancelled by a CSR on 01/24/18.

To help you with the charges, A CSR have processed a refund for the charge on 12/20/18 $60.00. And for the charge on 01/19/18, a $60.00 refund was processed on 01/24/18. An additional refund of $27.50 was processed today 02/28/18. It will be in your account within 3-5 business days. So that means the charge on 01/19/18 has been refunded in full. If you have further questions please feel free to call me directly at 813-563-4265 my name is Jesse and I am here to help!

Underhanded deceitful subliminal messages running scripts in the back once you order the cream. It enrolls the person in clubs and defraud charges fee
I saw an advertisement for wrinkle cream and eye serum while on yahoo.com. I clicked on it and it brought me to purchase the item. I paid the 4.95 shipping for both for a trial of both creams. The site did not have any advertising that after 14 days consumer will be charged 85.95 for each cream/serum. It was very deceitful for the third party to sell the product AvanDerm from the Avan Skin Labs; tricking the consumer into a good deal but the charge would take place without the consumer knowledge. The advertisement also has subliminal connections to other parties selling beauty makeup or tutorials without the consumer knowledge that they are being routed along with the credit card information. I was not aware that I will be joining any clubs by just buying the cream/serum. My information was sold-I'm sure to "mymakeuprocks.net. I never clicked on any link to subscribe nor did I enter my personal information nor my credit card information. I did not sign up and did not reply to the email that requested my information. I did not know where the email came from so I did not follow the request to sign up.
Today I found out when I complained to the phone number listed when I was charged for a club subscription to mymakeuprocks.net that this club is affiliated with the third party that sold the eye cream Avanderm-AvanSkinLabs. I never signed up for this make up club.
The Avanderm-AvanSkinLabs company is gauging people 85 dollars for something they are advertising for a trial of 4.95 without letting people know what it would cost after the trial period. They are deceitful and they make fraudulent changers without letting the consumer be aware. When confronted they are rude-talk over you and have poor public relations. I think this company is conning people into fees without notice. I was giving only 50 dollar refund. Because of false advertising they should give a full refund.

Desired Outcome

The company should clearly state on the site when purchases are made the amount of days for the trial and the fee that will be charged if consumer did not cancel by the dateline. The company should be restrain from selling or giving the consumer's personal and credit card information to another company unknown to consumer (behind the buyer's back).

All used products are non-returnable or refundable once past the 14-day trial period. The customer is made aware of all charges throughout the ordering process. Prior to fully purchasing customers must acknowledge the trial period time frame (14 days from date of order and 4 days for shipping, a total of 18 days), shipping charges (5.79 wrinkle cream and/or 4.87 eye serum per product), recurring charges ($87.50 wrinkle cream and/or $85.20 eye serum - unless offered a promotional price). The trial offer's terms and conditions and privacy policy has been made available on the website and is clearly stated in the ordering page (https://www.avanderm-wrinkle.com/index.php?).

The trial started from the time you placed the order on 11/12/17 until 11/30/17. Because your account was not cancelled, you were billed for the products you have in your possession. Your account was cancelled by a CSR on 12/03/17. To help you with the charges on 11/30/17 a customer courtesy refund of $50.00 off of each charge was processed on 12/03/17. On December 29 2017 I have ordered a free 30 day skin anti aging solution for only the charge of 4.99 shipping fee but 2 weeks letter my credit card was charged for 87.99. I called today to find out why I am being charged I was told I should have canceled the member ship with in 2 weeks . I was told that 60.00 dollar well be refund to my account . But They do not explain that if you don't cancel with in 15 days you well be charged This company advertises very misleading and dishonest.

I ordered free sample of cream and serum by paying shipping fee $5.87 & $4.87. I processed the order by guest customer, and I didn't see the term and agreement for subscription. 20 days later, I was charged for $87.50 & $85.20 by my credit card.

This is a scam Ordered 2 trial samples. Now I've been charged full price. No where does it say that I would be charged.
Advertised by saying Matthew McConaughey and his wife created these products for a family member of theirs. Which is fraud. I should have known better than to order this. They have charged my card $85.20 and 87.50. I have not even opened the samples not do I want them. I want a full refund due to false advertising. This is fraud.

Desired Outcome

Expect full refund and will return unopened product to Avan Skin Lab.

BOUGHT A TRAIL SKIN CREAM FOR 5.79 NEVER TOLD ME THEY WOULD TAKE OUT MONTHLY FEES, I NEVER SIGNED OR APPROVE THAT, MY BANK CALLED WITH A FRAUD ALERT
THEY TRIED TO TAKE OUT 87.00 MY BANK STOP IT, I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE USED CREAM OTHERWISE THEY WILL CHARGE ME 19.99, HOW CAN THEY DO THIS, I AM AFRAID THAT THEY WILL STILL CHARGE MY DEBIT CARD THAT AMOUNT ANYWAY.

Desired Outcome

DON'T WANT TO BE CHARGED ANY MORE FROM THEM

I also joined this group of folks being scammed. On MSN News page these products with some information about *** involvement with the product. Featured were an anti-aging cream, and the eye serum for "just the price of shipping" and submitted the order on 12/3/17. I did not see anything about a 14 ay trial period, or month auto refills or I would never have become involved this this situation. I received the order on 12/11/17 with a packing slip and got confirming emails from them showing Order Totals of $5.79 and $4.97 wich I am currently looking at) and nowhere in any of the paperwork are their "conditions" mentioned. When I received by credit card bill on 1/16/18, I noticed that this firm charged $87.50 (12/20) and $85.20 (12/21). I called my credit card company and submitted a dispute over these charges. They cancelled my card so that this scam company could not submit another charge, and said that I would receive a full cred for the total amount on my February billing. THE SCAM CREAM/SERUM DOES NOT WORK! My question to Joel Olsten is, "Why would you associate you and your wife with this unscrupulous business?"

.

Extremely shady business practice. Like some of the other reviews, I ordered a $5 trial, which they ended up adding a second trial to at the same time without my permission and running the $5 trial for $10 stating it was s/h for the 2 trials. They were not transparent about the 14-day trial. Ordered on Dec 27 - Received the two trial products on 1/7 - and on 1/15 (today) was being charged $87.50 and 85.20 for the products that I didn't cancel. No where on the invoice did it mention that you had to call in to cancel, nor did it mention that you would be charged in full, nor did it mention that you would be charged an ongoing amount for them to continue to fill as a subscription. There was nothing about all this on the invoice or the email, which they claimed it was. When I saw the charges on my bank account, I immediately emailed. They at least responded and said via email they could cancel the ongoing subscription but couldn't refund me. So I then called in and got someone who finally is going to process a refund for only $70 for each, which means IF the refund processes as planned, I am now still out the original $10 plus the difference of $17.50 and $15.20. So this cost me 42.70 - when I originally thought I was ordering a $5 sample. Also cost me time and frustration. Funny thing is, I've only had time to use the product like once or twice. I MIGHT have even liked it and been willing to pay for it if they had handled things differently and been more transparent and not used trickery to gain clientele.

Terms were not clear on the trial products. Once I called to cancel subscription, customer service was very rude. Would not refund my total amount that they charged me. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, I was told there was none and they hung up on me! DO NOT PURCHASE anything from this company.

I haven't even received the trials that were suppose to only cost shipping-billed my account over 170.00

Order Number: XXXXXX

Ordered on 12/23/2017 01:58pm

TODAY Billed my credit card 168.00

Desired Outcome

I want my money back

The company violated their own Terms of Service.
I contacted the company. They told me there is a trial period of 18 days (14 days and 4 shipping). I pointed out to them that even though the order was placed on the 22nd it did not ship until the 26th. I told them that would put me within the 18 days. They still would only do a partial refund of $120.00. Even after telling them this they said they would only do the partial refund. This is very frustrating. They were so quick to point out what their terms of service shows but then unwilling to follow it when I pointed out they were in the wrong. They also tried to put the blame on me. This is bad practice. And illegal.

Desired Outcome

I want the full refund not partial.

I placed an order for a free trial of Avan Dermnu anti-aging cream and the Advanced Eyed serum. All I was supposed to pay for was the shipping.
I placed an order for a free trial of Avan Dermnu anti-aging cream and the Advanced Eyed serum. All I was supposed to pay for was the shipping. It was a one-time order on December 18th, 2017 and I paid the $5.79 for shipping as well as an additional $4.87 for shipping for the eye cream I wanted to try. On January 3rd, 2018, this company charged my account an additional $87.50 for what I assume is another months worth of products, but I have not received any additional product and cannot reach company. I am currently disputing the transaction. I am a disabled VET and every penny counts. I'd also like to mention that the products do not work and made my face peel.

Desired Outcome

I just want a refund of the $87.50 they stole from me. Yes, it is stealing being as I have not received the product yet either.

I did not sign up for monthly subscription. Not noted on website to order samples.
December 2017 ordered the samples for shipping amounts which were debited from my checking. NO where on that site did it say there was an 18 day cancelling for an ongoing monthly subscription of the products. 1-8-18 my account was debited 85.20 and 87.50. I called the number listed and held for 20 minutes before being told I did sign up for it and it had an 18 day cancellation and they would only refund partial. I told them no I would not accept partial that I wanted full refunds. I told her I have disputed charges with my bank and she said since I have done that they will not talk to me any longer and will deal with my bank. When they answered the phone they didn't even ask if I had a problem, she asked what are the amounts disputed. I read every word and there was nothing about a monthly subscription or if sample was not returned unopened there would be a charge for each.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of charges of 85.20 and 87.50 and notation of fraudulent company. BAD BUSINESS and should be shut down!!!!! False Advertising!!

Hi,

On 12/10/17 I ordered A SHARK TANK PRODUCT that offers a FREE TRIAL SAMPLE for the cost of shipping $4.99 for the AvanDerm Wrinkle Cream and $4.87 for the AvanDerm Eye Serum.
On 12/27/17 DEFINEADEYE.NET charged me $85.20 and DEFINEADWRINKLE.NET charged me $87.50.
On 1/8/18 I called 888-649-3646 on the http://avanskinlabs.com/ website. They cancelled the subscription and said they refunded $60.00 for each product back to by credit card, totalying a $120.00 refund. I did receive the emails stating a refund would happen, but no dollar amount was specified in the emails. So, we'll see what happens.

In November, I ordered two products (eye serum and aging cream) advertised for the cost of shipping only - there was no indication of a recurring purchase; I would not have ordered had it been disclosed this was a subscription type purchase since it is too easy to miss a cancellation date. Additional funds were deducted from my bank account in December without receipt of additional product - there were two deductions, both of which were for less than $20 each so the charges went unnoticed. I contact AvanSkinLabs by phone today (January). The customer service rep, Blue, indicated the terms and conditions were provided when I ordered. I have the confirmation emails, which mention nothing about continuing terms. Blue indicated my trial had been extended into December and that I was among a group that had been given a discounted price for the product; this discounted price is what was being deducted from my account rather than $87.50 and $85.20 for each of the products - which are clearly amounts that would not go unnoticed! I never received notification of a trial extension, nor did I receive any notice of any discount. Blue confirmed I would not have received notice of either the trial extension or the discount. I requested the 'subscription' be canceled and that charges be reversed for December; Blue indicated nothing could be done about the December charges. I requested the opportunity to speak with a supervisor - Blue was unable to escalate my call to a supervisor, indicating there was no supervisor on duty. I am hopeful my 'subscription' has been canceled and that I will no longer be billed for product I am not receiving. Very frustrating!!

I bought the trial eye serum. Cost around $5.00. I see that they also charged me at that same time $5 for a trial face cream. I didn't object because the price was so low. Two weeks later I see a charge on my credit card for $170! No where on the site when purchasing did I see that I would be charged $170 more. I contacted them and they said I had 14 days to cancel and that date passed. Total rip off company. Not sure how this isn't illegal and they are still in business!

AVAN skin labs or JBS anti aging skin cream or whoever they are claiming to be is a SCAM that takes advantage of honest people! Obviously in the fine fine print somewhere it says that you have to sign up for monthly shipments if you agree to the 4.95 trial. I just had 84.95 taken from my bank that I CANNOT afford to lose and the bank can't do anything--say call the company. Of course the company doesn't answer! Do not fall for this!!!

I ordered the trial and tried to cancel the order. I was charged $87.50 for the product. In the terms it did not state here would be a charge.
I called to cancel my order I calculated the 14 days from the date I received the product and saw a charge today on my account for $87.50. I spoke with Liz and stated that I read the terms carefully and no wherw did I see that there would be a charge of $87.50. She informed me I did not read carefully and asked where I purchased the product from. I told her I ordered it from a site by Dr. Oz and before purchasing I read the terms to see what the charge was and did not see anything or else I would not have ordered the product. She told me there was nothing she could do. I read the complaints on the Revdex.com website and apparently she tells this to other people. All I want is my money back.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of $87.50

I signed on for what was represented as a sample of AvanDermNu eye Serum and AvanDermNu face cream, for which I was obliged to pay $10.66 S&H. The product sizes were very small - like the free samples given away in a doctors' office, so when I found both products inferior, I didn't send back what looked like sample sizes, I just chalked up my S&H cost to experience. Two weeks later my VISA card shows two charges pending: one for $85.20 and the other for $87.50. When I called AvanDerm to say I never ordered this, I was told they were willing to cancel my acct and return $140, but the $32.70 balance FOR PRODUCTS I HAVE NOT RECD they say is my responsibility. I have requested my CapitalOne VISA to dispute this, so because I won't accept $140 as final settlement against $172.70 charges, they have withdrawn their offer to reverse $140 on my credit card. Dealing with these people is a nightmare; they are rude, shouting down my questions, saying they will sue me and ruin my credit if I don't pay them. I would not recommend them to ANYONE - I'm sorry your rating doesn't go down to negative numbers because that is how bad they are - inferior product and bait and switch business tactics.
