I am rejecting this response because: I will need to wait to see when my refund permanently postsalso, Back Water did not politely ask me to close the claim, they threatened me if they shipped me a new order and I wasn't happy and made a complaint, that they would put me in collections for the INCORRECT roaches that they gave me for free kind of weird, to offer someone something for free, but then tell them YOU BETTER BE HAPPY OR I WILL PUT YOU IN COLLECTIONSreally? I cant control whether or not they send me a correct orderthey should know what they send is correct if they don't, perhaps they should get a reliable supplierif I got what I paid for in the first place, this would have never happened this company is so shady and I don't trust them at all so I am not comfortable closing out claim until I am fully refunded when permanent credit has been posted, I will close the claim

Got my savanna monitor, everything shipped correctly but he seemed a little bit malnourishedvery flat looking, and for a hatchling it didnt have much energyluckily after feeding him and getting him water\heat he plumped up and became a baby savanna monitorWouldnt recommend this siteseems like a hit or miss with what you order when it comes to their healthI honestly think their warehouse should get evaluated to see how all of their animals health are

I bought a savannah monitor this week from Backwater ReptilesI got a good sized one as requested which made me happy! It has been active every night in its new enclosure and even are of the first food offeringI'm pleased with my orderAlso I did not get payed nor do I work for the company in case you're wonderingI would recommend it and will buy from them again!

I ordered Leopard Gecko hatchlings from BackwaterReptilesBeing up in Alaska makes it kind of hard to get things on time, so there was an extra day delay, I was getting worried not know how long the heat packs last and hoping they wouldn't end up being a DOAI received them Wednesday at noon, instead of on TuesdayThankfully FedEx kept them in doors and the delivery driver kept them up front in the cab to keep them warmTo my great surprise they made it safe and sound! The heating pack they added in to the package still had a little heat left in it as wellEveryone did an awesome job trying to make it so the Leos would make it up here unharmedI sent some emails to the customer service and I always had a reply by the next morningI'm sure its hard trying to respond to several different people ordering from them but I had an excellent experience overallThanks everyone at BackWaterReptils!

I ordered Dubia Feeder Roaches from Backwater Reptiles for my Bearded Dragons and not only were the prices competitive and fair, but the Roaches arrived on time and there was no hassle in having the package held at my local Post Office because of the high temperatures in my areaIncluded with the Roaches was Roach Food and Water Crystals which is a huge help! My Beardies chowed down immediately and they both approve:) We all send our thanks to BWR for the speedy delivery and quality product!

The little Russian tortoise I ordered arrived this morning as promised She is beautiful!! Bright eyed and alert and after a short soak settled into her new home readilyThis evening she will receive her first meal in her new homeThank you Backwater Reptiles we love her already the sad part is that we won't be keeping her as she is a gift for a friend who lost her Russian of many years this summer

As corroborated by the customer's response, we did not make any guarantees regarding internal parasites in wild caught animalsThe customer initially filed a complaint with the Revdex.com saying we guaranteed no internal parasites, which was untrue Secondly, the customer is referencing a piece of text relaying that our Revdex.com rating is an A-, but if our rating is no longer an A-, but instead a B+, it must've been a recent change so we can easily make an adjustmentBut, the only place on our entire website it references an "A-" is on the Testimonials page (which has since been updated)On EVERY SINGLE other page, over pages in all, the Revdex.com rating is CLEARLY visible and linked directly to the Revdex.com, showing our B+ ratingIt is automatically updated by the Revdex.com websiteLiterally, clearly visible, on 450+ pages This customer has lied, and has now become petty, trying to argue over a "A-" vs "B+"She also accused us of not even being members of the Revdex.com, which we obviously areWe are also rated 4-out-of-stars on the Revdex.com website We will reiterate, there will be no refund for veterinarian billsIf the customer wants to ship the tortoise back, he/she will receive a refund for the tortoise, less shipping Cordially, Backwater Reptiles

This response is rejected as well because it's patently untrue the CSR was indeed rude and inappropriate, primarily by dealing with a child and then by emailing me to tell me that all guarantees were void since I live in a remote part of the country, I do 90% of my shopping online and have since the early 90'si reject the character judgement that I cannot be satisfiedThey stated that they never received the photo of the dead animal, which they did, and that they were never rude, which they were, and furthermore I never at any point stated "Do this or else." I simply stated repeatedly that I found their Customer Service to be well below par, and that I was going to report them to the Revdex.comIt is my hope only that they now have a "black mark" against them, to protect other consumers from being similarly mistreatedI received multiple emails from them threatening to report me to credit agencies, when I hadn't even (and never did) initiate a charge back There really is no adequate action to be taken that can alleviate the grief my son felt when he opened the package with the dead animalThere was no marking on the package to indicate that there was a live animal and I was unable to contact the shipping agency to request a hold the end result that would satisfy me is an admission by the retailer that their services are less than industry standards; and it is my hope that this unresolved complaint remains on public record, to warn other people against doing business with them Sincerely, [redacted]

I received a Hatching black roughneck monitor from Backwater Reptiles on Octand could not be more happy with little guy or the serviceHe came on time as directed and was also just what I was looking for in a new monitor, after being at my house for less than an hour he was already devouring crickets and crawling all over his enclosure like he has been here for weeks! This customer purchased two animals on our website, a tortoise and a tarantulaThe baby tortoises were delayed and do not arrive until tomorrow (Thu) as they cannot be shipped until their yolk sacs are fully absorbedThis a process we do not rush based upon customer threats, because we care about the safety of the tortoisesWe have never, in our history, received a formal Revdex.com complaint because a customer had to wait two days for a baby tortoiseWe instead receive commendations on our concern for the animals.This customer also complained that they wanted a refund for overnight shippingThe overnight shipping charge is not a guarantee you get an animal the next day, it's the fee we incur when we do ship as we must utilize priority overnight delivery for the safety of the animalsThis is all clearly stated on our websiteAs the owner, I have instructed our team to process a full refund and cancellation of this customer's order as I will not do business with someone who acts in this mannerIt's honestly unconscionable

I ordered a Veiled Chameleon and a cage kit from Backwater Reptiles After ordering, I saw other peoples reviews, on different websites and on YouTube which had a decent amount of bad I was nervous but hopefulI received an email from Backwater Reptiles asking me if I wanted them to ship the chameleon closer to the time that the cage kit would arrive, which I thought was very thoughtful I luckily had a small temporary cage that I could use until the real cage came, plus we were expecting a snow storm over the next few days and I didn't want to risk him getting stuck in transit I emailed them back letting them know that I would still like the overnight shipping and the quickly responded letting me know that they would get the chameleon ready to go and be shipped out that night After that though, something came up to where I wouldn't have anyone at home to sign for my chameleon when he arrived So I emailed the Backwater Reptiles customer service team asking if it would be possible to change the delivery address to my workplace so I could sign for it and make sure the chameleon would be brought in from the cold They responded quickly and let me know the address change had occurred and sent me my tracking number later that evening The next morning, my chameleon arrived by Fed Ex at about 11:30am at my work He was safe and sound His color was a bright green and he was alert and curious about his surroundings He was in perfect condition He's actually really sweet and likes to sit on my finger and likes to have his chin scratched and will actually take food from my handHe's perfect! I'm still waiting on my cage kit which should hopefully arrive before the end of the week I just wanted to thank Backwater Reptiles for being so helpful and pleasant and sending me such a great animal! Even with the cold weather, my animal arrived safe and happy I will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

Tell me where that makes sense He should just replace the dead crickets They clearly sent me an email ASKING if they should ship them and I responded with "No shipping and No refund, just to hold the order and ship when safe I also did take pictures of the dead crickets and still have the photos At no time did he ever ASK for a picutre of them...I would have gladly sent it to him I would have gladly sent all the dead crickets back to him We saved them for weeks waiting for some response from them and received none
