Bell Honda Reviews (207)

We have just purchased a new Honda from Bell Honda and couldn't be happier. We worked with Eric S[redacted] who made sure the entire experience was easy and faster than we expected. Eric went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of and knew everything there was to know about our new SUV before we left the lot. When it is time for us to replace our other vehicle we will be going back to Bell Honda and we definitly be looking forward to working with Eric again on our next purchase.

My experience at Bell Honda was very pleasant. My salesman, [redacted], was courteous and professional, and listened to what I asked. the finance people, [redacted] and [redacted], also were courteous, thorough, and made suggestions but were not "pushy" about them.
this is why I came back to Bell Honda for my third time!

Review: For over 4 years, Bell Honda has continued to call my home number and harrassess me to trade in my Honda Element. I have no intention of selling or trading in my car and I've told Honda to remove me from all call lists and to stop contacting me. They have failed to honor my request in these years. Short of changing my home number, it is not professional, legal or ethical what they are doing to previous consumers.Desired Settlement: I want Bell Honda to STOP calling me and to remove my contact from all sales lists. I will never purchase or recommend Bell Honda to anyone, their sales practices are unprofessional.

I have a 2005 Honda Element that I have taken to Bell Honda for oil changes and to have my air bag recall fixed. The first time that I took my car to Bell Honda everything went well. When I went back about 2 weeks later for an oil change, I was told by my advisor that the technician had noticed that two of my motor mounts were cracked through and needed to be replaced immediately before the tension ends up cracking the other mounts. I decided to get a second opinion at Daves Car Care and was told that not one of my motor mounts was cracked. After about 4 months I decided to go back to Bell Honda for my oil change and was told that I had more problems with my car but this time my tire rods were loose and my differential oil needed to be changed because the technician noticed a "noise". I decided again to get a second opinion and of course Bell Honda lied again. My tire rods ARE NOT loose but my differential oil does need to be switched out due to mileage. This will be the last time that I take my vehicle to Bell Honda because every time I go it seems that they always try to find ways to get my money.

Bell Honda's website offers a cost for Uniroyal, Tiger Paw, Touring SR, 70,000 Miles tires for my 2008 Honda Accord at an installed cost of $99.32 per tire. They still advertise this tire, but they won't offer them. They instead offer a lesser tire for more money. They offer a Dunlap, 60,000 mile tire for more money. I consider the Uniroyal tire offer as being falsely advertised so they can sell a lesser tire at a higher cost. I've asked twice today, online, for an answer to my request, but no one returns my calls.

I have purchased 3 vehicles from Bell Honda and have used their service department for all 3. In most cases the service department has completed the work in a single visit. Only exception is when special parts need to be ordered. Service manager Steve Emery always greets us quickly and get the requested works completed in a timely manner. When issues arise that require additional service, Steve explains the issue, the service options, and then proceeds to have the work completed after our approval.

Steve E[redacted] is a great service manager and very attentive to my needs, time, and pocket book.

Bell Honda device is awesome Brian S[redacted] made it quick and easy!

Review: On 3/12/2016, I scheduled an appointment for a SAFETY RECALL performance through the dealer's Service Department and an oil-filter change. The reason for this visit was inconvenient because the parts originally installed in the vehicle were a manufacturers problem but decided to go and have the issues resolved to stop the emails, phone calls, and letters I have received. The recall items are presumed complete but I am not a mechanic and did not inspect the performance of the recall. I do know and regularly change my oil-filter but I thought I would have the dealer do it in this case as they would be fixing the other items. I would like to complain about several items:

1. The Oil-Filter service was not completed - (on 3/13/2016, before taking the car out, I opened the hood and pulled the dipstick to find that the oil was brown and at the minimum mark)

2. The service was not timely

3. The service adviser said that a car wash would be provided but I found the car had smeary mirrors, glass and other dirty areas. In fact, the service team writes on the windshield something about the service and this writing was still on the windshield when delivered

4. The windshield wiper blades were torn and barely hanging on to the wipers, but seemed to have been placed on the hood.

5. The service team did not re-assemble the car after making adjustments, little parts were found on the floor.Desired Settlement: I have disputed the charges with my credit card company.

I have been leasing a 2016 Honda Civic since 1/11/16. Since day one I feel like I've been pushed around like I'm some gutter person asking for a million dollars. I out down a HUGE down payment on a LEASE that your employees convinced me to do seeing a terrified girl walk into a hungry lot they did what they felt was "respectable" and got me into a new car. Only half of my down payment is accounted for and still no one is able to truly tell me where the rest of my money went. Then my car had a recall for a missing piston ring and asked to be taken in for service which averaged 2.5 hours as per the letter sent. I brought my car in at 7:00am on Thursday March 31st and was told that I would get my car back until 6:00pm that same day. They also voluntarily did an oil change and tire rotation. After I came to pick my car up I drove it to target on 3rd St and bell rd. When I got back into my car the tire pressure light was on and I took it immediately back to the service shop. It looked shut down but the gates were open so I drive in to be helped by a man saying he would call a tech to check it our because my safety and well being was involved. I was very happy...until the tech came and sat in my car for 5 seconds to disconnect my light saying that it was an error and will shut off WITHOUT CHECKING THE ACTUAL TIRES. I don't know where their concern for my safety was by only shutting off a light .....which came back on the next morning anyway. I delt with it. Now I'm sitting in the service waiting room because on my way to take my kids to school and myself to work I have a flat tire...and I didn't know putting my entire family at risk of Injury on the freeway because my tire pressure light has been on therefore I wasn't aware of a new issue. Good news is I didn't even know I had a flat because the car felt leveled. Yay. Then the other day I locked my keys in the car and call bell Honda to be called a liar because "there's no way that would ever happen" why the heck would I call freaking out for help if I didn't need it?? Then the man told me IF I CAN FIND A RIDE THETE YHEY WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE ME A METAL KEY FOR A FEE. not offering a courtesy shuttle or help with 24/7 rosdside assistance. He was rude and unprofessional. Then literally a few hours later I got a phone call reminding me that I'm due for a complimentary oil change. I JUST GOT AN OIL CHANGE. Does your company not note important details? And of course its complimentary your employees convinced a scared first timer to buy a 3 year warranty on a BRAND NEW CAR. But that's not noted anywhere? Bottom. Line of this rant is this company has turned out to be nothing but a bunch of liars who will yes you to death but don't go through with their words and no one has contacted me with any answers. The only phone calls I've got where about month ago telling me if I have any questions that I can contact you. Clearly I have questions...why are there no notes about it? I still get calls about how they can help me get into a new car at least twice a week ans the general manager Robby M[redacted] never replies to calls or emails...even though the emails regaring getting me into a new car and any questions were sent by him but never and reply. Everything has been fishy since day one. No one has told the truth and I hate everything about every experience I've had here that I'm looking for a "sell your lease" place. I would NEVER recommended this place not even to my worst enemy.

Wonderful customer service by the entire team.

Dream came true just because of you guys :-)

I recently purchased a [redacted] from Bell Honda. I have been buying cars for 35 years and usually find the experience to be like going to the dentist, however [redacted] at Bell Honda made the experience virtually painless. Its hard to find a car salesman that actually listens to the buyer, but [redacted] did just that. This was my second purchase from Bell Honda and the whole buying process seemed to be improved compared to my first purchase. If you are looking for a vehicle ask for [redacted] at Bell Honda.

Review: On 4/4/2014 under I leased a 2013 Honda Fit Sport with Navigation from Bell Honda. The deal # is [redacted].

I am writing this complaint, because I have spent the last month attempting to contact the general manager. I feel as though I was not treated fairly in this deal, and from my understanding Bell Honda is a reputable dealer, and I know they will do right, as long as they know about the issues I am experiencing.

While I was in the store I was told I needed to put money down and so I did. I put down $1800.00 on this lease. I later find out, a down payment was never required.

Honda's standard warranty covers the vehicle much longer than 36 months and 36,000 miles. The salesman added a $2,200 maintenance package for 39 months, and 39,000 miles. This maintenance package is absolutely not needed. I never said I would go over the miles, much less keep the vehicle for 39 months.

In addition to the warranty that I did not need, I was charged for GAP insurance. However as pointed out by the [redacted], GAP insurance (waiver) is already included in all leases and is not something that needs to be purchased.

My monthly payment on this leased vehicle is 458.99 a month, which exceeds by far the normal lease payment of such a car. The cars window sticker price is $20,580.00. However the actual amount financed/in the lease was $26,758.57.

I use this vehicle for my business and was going to purchase another Honda, and when I was informed that I had been taken advantage of, that is what prompted me to reach out to Bell Honda for a resolution. Since my initial contact in August, I have not received any resolution, returned phone call, or cancellation of these products that I requested.Desired Settlement: I would like the general manager to pull the deal, and look through it and contact me.

Option 1) I would like to have ALL additional services, packages, addons for my vehicle cancelled immediately. I would like the dealer to buy me out of this car. Once I am purchased out of this vehicle completely, I will work directly with the general manager to purchase a new car, and not lease.

Option 2) I would like to have ALL additional services, packages, addons for my vehicle cancelled immediately. I would like the dealer to refund the complete purchase price of the MPP protection plan that was absolutely not needed; $2,200.00, and all other addons. I would like to receive some sort of compensation for these problems that I have been through. I trusted Bell Honda. The car has been excellent to me, however I feel very hurt that I was taken advantage of. I even explained to the salesman that our business is growing and that we will be back for more cars.

Review: I was conned and lied to on an offer to purchase a 2013 Honda Accord on Friday 20 ,2013 for $14,500 including tax and license with a trade credit of $10,000 for my 2002 Lexus Ls 430 from Bell Honda the Fleet sales managers name is [redacted] we agreed on a deal . I had a personal loan on the car from a cash title loan facility they where holding my title in there name. [redacted] had convinced me that he would pay me $10,000 For my car. Well I paid my loan off so I can obtain the title which was $10,458. The Next day I arrived at the dealership and was asked if I paid my loan off by [redacted] , I said yes and I am ready to complete the deal. Well the deal changed over night and I was to pay $18,950 on top of my trade and that now my trade is only worth $7,500. This leaves me in complete disaster and in big financial burdens. All I wanted to do is buy a new car but all I got was games that cost me money. I had approached the top manager his name was [redacted] I explained to him the situation and my experience in dealing with [redacted]. He said that his sales man did noting wrong and that he could not help me in any way but was asked If I wanted to purchase the car on there terms . Which would put me in financial problems.Desired Settlement: I want the Dealer to honer there offer and stand by there word and not con people out of money

Response to complaint # [redacted] – [redacted]

Upon receipt of the complaint by Mr. [redacted], we talked to all the parties that were involved with the “negotiation” process. We apologize for the delay in responding to this complaint, however we wanted to be thorough.

In speaking with the managers that night, it was discovered that Mr. [redacted] would not truly negotiate nor commit to any type of numbers/amounts that were being put in front of him to make a car deal. Because of the time commitment that was spent on trying to make a deal with Mr. [redacted], our manager actually pursued him to his car as he was leaving, after not having made any commitment, and gave him one final aggressively low offer to entice Mr. [redacted] to continue negotiating. Mr. [redacted], again, did not accept any offer given to him and left the dealership. There was also no promise made to him that the offer would stand at any other time or that we would “hold” any vehicle for him.

Mr. [redacted] raises a point about his trade in payoff and a cash title loan that was on it. There would be no point to us questioning that part of his trade, as we would have treated that as any other lender payoff. There would be no reason for us to “force” Mr. [redacted] into paying that off first to make a deal.

We apologize that Mr. [redacted] did not like the outcome of not making a deal on his original trip to the dealership, however our offer was not accepted at that time, and we do reserve the right to therefore change terms at a later time when no commitment has been made by either us or the customer.

If there are any further questions concerning this matter, I would be happy to answer them. I can be reached directly at ###-###-####.

Sincerely,

[redacted] Controller

Review: On September 7, 2013 my significant other and I went to Bell Honda to see about trading in my Toyota Tacoma for a new 2013 Honda Civic. The salesman was courteous and helpful when test driving the Civic SI. Afterwards, we sat down to negotiate the price and I explained that I had no money to put down on the car. It was the beginning of the month and I just made my monthly payment on the truck I was trading in. He then went to get the sales manager ([redacted]), Mr. [redacted] offered to adjust the deal so that I could afford the monthly payment but, wanted a down payment of $1000.00. I explained to Mr. [redacted] that I had no money to put down like I previously explained to the salesmen. I am in the U.S Military and stationed in Arizona I have strict budget that helps me stay fiscally responsible. I explained that for me to purchase the vehicle it would need to be a straight trade. My significant other tried to explain to Mr. [redacted] that there is no money down he rudely interrupted her twice. Eventually Mr. [redacted] presented an alternative offer to give him October's payment of $500.00. So I asked him if I do this when will my next payment be due and I was told that first payment will be due in November. After hearing that I agreed to the terms.

On September 26, 2013 I received a bill from [redacted] stating that my first bill was due on October 7, 2013. I called Bell Honda and spoke to [redacted]. She told me that another person in the finance department will be assisting me. I was transferred to another Finance person then I explained what the issue was and the Finance person told me that he will call [redacted] Center and see what is going on. I received a call back a few days later by the same finance person and he told me that everything was taken care of with [redacted].

I called [redacted]e on October 6, 2013 to see if my account reflected what Bell Honda had promised and they told me that their records do not show anyone from Bell Honda calling about my account.

I have called Bell Honda several times to get the resolved but I get the run around. I even asked to speak to Mr. [redacted] but never received a call back. I cannot believe how primitive and outdated Bell Honda sales tactics are just to make a buck. I am in the military currently stationed in the Phoenix area and I could never recommend Bell Honda to another service member.Desired Settlement: I would like the $500.00 down payment I made to purchase this car.

Response to complaint # [redacted] – [redacted]

We have reviewed the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] and apologize for any misunderstanding that may have taken place about his vehicle purchase and the financing – specifically the initial due date for his payments to begin.

Additionally, we are speaking with all of the employees involved concerning the issues surrounding not returning phone calls nor properly answering customer questions.

Given this information, we would agree that refunding you the down payment amount of $500 would be an equitable settlement for this matter. We will be cutting a check and sending it via certified mail to the address listed on this complaint.

If there are any other questions concerning this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at ###-###-####.

Traded a vehicle with this place in June of 2014. At first they were helpful. Had a SUV that just came in already inspected just needed cleaned. I then purchased the vehicle after being told it was going to be cleaned and I could pick it up the next day. During the waiting for paperwork to be done the salesman just sat in the waiting room with myself and my daughter doing absolutely nothing. I had to ask him to go check on things 40 mins into him sitting there.

Surprise it was not ready the next day after I had taken off of work to go get it. Told me that they didn't have a chance to clean it. I picked it up third day not cleaned at all but I was late for work.

They never did the sold notice to my old car to get it out of my name so I can get my plate refund. I had to do their job three weeks later!

Had gotten passed around multiple times when I called on that situation and finally no one called me

Back.

Two months later I get a letter stating that my old car is impounded and I owe fees. I call and the guy on the phone says everyone is in a meeting and that it sounded like no one here did the paperwork when it went to auction.

This place is a joke and I will never recommend them to anyone. Absolutely garbage!!!

Bell Honda has once again come through with flying colors! Particularly my service guy, Steve E[redacted]. Steve, is plain and simply awesome! He's professional, yet very friendly, and knowledgeable. He helped me out early last year when my [redacted] needed COSTLY repairs. Steve did everything he could to minimize the financial impact, and went above and beyond my expectations. Fast forward 1 year later and again my [redacted] needed a few repairs due to emissions failure. Not only did Steve come through again, but he even got my car re-smogged (PASSED!) saving me a trip! Bell Honda has also helped me out tremendously with my '[redacted] (twice!) and I can't say enough good things about their service department. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their car serviced!

I am very happy with the assistance Bell Honda provided with getting the 2016 Pilot Touring Edition in the colors I wanted in an expediant fashion. Other dealerships said it would take months to get this car in with the specs I wanted, but Bell Honda was able to transfer the car in under a week. They are also a part of the U[redacted] buying program which saved us money on the price of the car as well as a reduction in interest rate if financed through U[redacted]. Final paperwork was done quickly and with no hassle. I would definitely go back to Bell Honda again and recommend them to others!!!

I will continue doing business at Bell Honda because of Josh H[redacted], he always provides the best customer service and makes me feel like he genuinely cares about me. I know I can trust that his recommendations will be honest. With complete sincerity and appreciation,
Monica W[redacted]

I would like to take moment to recognize the tremendous staff at Bell Honda. Though I have purchased several Hondas in the past, this was by far the BEST experience. However, it did not start out that way. I pulled onto the service drive and was politely greeting by [redacted]. I was upset because my [redacted] with only 33k miles was making a loud noise. I figured I would need it checked out before the warranty expired, but frustrated I had to spend a Saturday morning to do so. The service crew was having difficulty replicating the sound, and informed me it would be a little longer as they tried to hear the same thing I did. In the meantime I wondered across the street to see what new models/features were available. I saw [redacted], an internet manager who recognized me from a previous purchase. He asked how things were going, and I informed him my van was in service for warranty work. He asked if we were enjoying the van and told me it was in good hands with their service department. Although the van was an amazing kid caddie (I have 3 young daughters), my wife missed her Honda [redacted]. He said the [redacted]s were a featured vehicle in the weekends sale and their used car department could always use [redacted] for their certfied program. He assured me we could get down to brass tax to see if we could get the numbers to work. I was hesitant because I had "seen this movie" before with other dealers, but proceeded with the routine. We picked out a model, took it for a quick drive to show me the new features and came back for what I thought would be a song and dance, only to find out I was able to trade in my van for the exact [redacted] we drove for only $11 more than our current payment with $500 out of pocket. Ring the Bell!! How fun.

[redacted], the Finance Manager was equally professional, thorough and efficient and I was out of there in less than 2 hours completely satisfied. My wife was shocked at first I showed up with a new car, but happy to have her [redacted] back with the same budget. Thank you to the Bell Honda Team of Pros!
