Review: I HAD WON A BID ON BIDCACTUS "Escape to Mexico + 50 BidsAuction 1004176, Item #[redacted]. Ended: 12/27/13 20:51:02 ET" AND IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRODUCT IT STATED THAT THE CONFIRMATION SECURITY CODE WILL BE MAILED WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS "Heres How it Works:If youre the auction winner, your Activation Code will be e-mailed to you within 5 business days of checkout.Your Escape to Mexico 5 Day Vacation Getaway is good for an entire year so use it at your convenience. You can activate your Escape to Mexico 5 Day Vacation Getaway at any time online. THE PHONE NUMBER ALWAYS PLAYS THE SAME MESSAGE THAT I CALLED AT THE TIME THAT THEY ARE CLOSED. ON THEIR WEBSITE MY BID IS LISTED AS PENDING. AND HAD PAID FOR THE BID AND WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE THE PRODUCT I WON, WHICH IS STATED IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS MESSAGE.Desired Settlement: RECEIVE THE ACTIVATION CODE TO REGISTED THE VACATION ON [redacted]

Review: In winning an item on Bidcactus.com, I was elated that I had a good Christmas present. I read the policy posted on the website saying the item would be delivered in 15 days. I have the proof I made payment on November 27, 2013. Todays date is December 12, 2013. I called Bid Cactus on their toll free number and I was told the item had not shipped and they had no idea as to when it would be delivered. Today I received the following email and below is my response; In a message dated 12/12/2013 10:19:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, [redacted] writes:Hello [redacted],Thank you for contacting us over your concern about the status & delivery of your items. We understand your question and apologize for the protracted delay. Please rest assured that each and every item in your account will be fulfilled. Unfortunately it is taking us a long time to rectify our shipping slowdown. While I do not have a shipment date to provide you I can offer you a refund immediately in lieu of fulfillment. The refund would cover exactly what you spent (end auction price, plus S&H) as well as return any regular bids used in winning the auction to you. Please let us know if you wish to opt for the refund or will be able to wait for us to fulfill your auction wins. Thank you for your patience and working with us to resolve this issue.Thank you[redacted] Dear [redacted], I expect the fulfillment of the item I purchased. A refund would be far less than all I have spent on attempting to win auctions. With this written promise, I will further file as an additional complaint against your published policies. In further checking, your site has numerous complaints filed against it for a period of years. I will file all records as well as the conversation I had with your company today December 12, 2013. I expect that you will notify me as soon as the fulfillment of the [redacted] $100.00 Gift Card had occurred. The Reference Number was [redacted] and the Order Number was #[redacted]. A [redacted] receipt for the costs also is filed that this transaction took place on November 27, 2013 at 09:59 AM ET. I was shocked at the response from your company as no intention of following what you have posted as being the latest shipping dates. I have recorded that I was assured the fulfillment will take place.Regards, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the order fulfilled as promised.

Response:

We apologize for the delay in getting the item the customer had checked out shipped in a timely manner. Our records indicate however that the customer was refunded his requested charges via [redacted] on December 18th.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I had paid by [redacted] for the invoice generated by Bidcactus. [redacted] settled the claim and refunded only the amount of shipping and the actual bids that I placed to win the auction. Bidcactus.com settlles in this manner and does not provide the winning bidder with the promised fulfillment. Knowing that you had no legal recourse against them, I accepted the refund. This is a bad company who uses an excuse of delays in shipping, but never seems to send the actual items out. I thank you for your responses. The bottom line is Bidcactus.com is a detriment to the good business practices in your state.

Sincerely,

Review: From 01/02/13 to 03/14/13 I have won at auction or purchased $1844.88 worth of merchandise from Bid Cactus. None of which has been delivered.

Bid Cactus has used deceptive business practices. My credit card was charged for bids bought and items purchased in excess of $3,000. Despite repeated calls and deceptive answers by Bid Cactus personnel I have not received any merchandise since early January. I am owed $1844.88 worth of merchandise. Items and dates items purchased or won at auction follow: 01/02/13-Wagan Battery Jumper**01/03-Garmin GPS**01/04 Apple I Pad ** 01/04 Walmart $25 gift card**01/17 Cuisinart Food Processor**01/24 Quiznos $10 gift card**01/30-Amazon $25 gift card**02/04-HP Pavillion Lartop**2/10-$25 Resturant.com gift card**02/17-another Garmin GPS**03/14-earrings and 03/14-Apple I Pod. Bid Cactus verifies that retail value of items owed to me is $1844.88. They have also taken money from me for delivery costs for items not delived as of yet. on their web site Bid Cactus states that merchandise will be delivered in two to three weeks. I have called Bid Cactus's customer service department on six different occasions only to be lied to bt company representatives. They have assured me merchandise would be shipped soon. They have put me on hold while they supposedly checked on shipping status. When I requested a refund for bids I had not used and had purchased at $.75 each I received a partial refund and voucher bids that I had bought or won at auction were taken from my account.

My credit card was assessed charges witin 72 hours of auctions closing or immediately for bids purchased.Desired Settlement: I would like my merchandise delivered and shipping costs refunded to me. Bid Cactus can keep voucher bids as this is not a company I will do business with in the future.

If they can not deliver merchandise I would like a $2,000 for merchandise costs and shipping charges.

I do not expect any reimbursement for interest on the use of my funds or depreciation of value of items I am owed.

We apologize for the delay in responding to [redacted]'s concerns however, we have a backlog which has resulted in some shipping delays.

Our shipping department advised the cards are being shipped tomorrow but we are not able to give him an ETA on the non-gift card winnings as we need to consult w/our vendor.

He will be emailed tomorrow with the [redacted] tracking number and contacted as quickly as possible regarding the non-gift card items.

Business Response /* (-10, 10, 2013/06/27) */

The 2 gift cards the customer is due are being shipped tomorrow via the [redacted] and he will be emailed the tracking information. We will be working with the shipping department & our vendors and will provide an update to [redacted] on the status of the remaining items.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2013/08/06) */

Bid Cactus shipped 3 gift cards totaling $60 on 6/26. Since then they have done nothing about other items I have paid for, During conversation (approximately 7/1) with them I am told they want to resolve complaint and are working on it, These orders go back to 01/02/13. I have over $1800 of merchandise that I have paid for and also paid for bids to buy these items on auction. Please reopen this case. It has not been resolved I plan on contacting CT attorney General to see if Bid Cactus business practices are illegal Any help Revdex.com can provide is appreciated. [redacted]

The reason I did not respond sooner was I again believed Bid Cactus when they told me they had honorable intentions. This company led me to believe they would favorably resolve issue when they had no intention to. They took my money immediately but wait delayed over 8 months in fulfilling their part of agreement.

Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2013/08/21) */

We understand the customers frustration in regards to our continued shipping delays. Our shipping department was able to ship him the 3 outstanding gift cards & they are working to get him the electronics & jewelry as well.

We made a call to the customer and advised of this as we wanted to keep him updated as possible.

Review: I have a list of wins from this penny auction site dating back from November 17, 2012 that BidCactus has not shipped. I have emailed numerous times and called but they have not shipped my wins. The closest I came was the last time I called customer service he said they had shipped wins through the end of November and I should have gotten my cards dating back to mid November. He said he was going to check it out, put me on hold and never got back on the phone. I have over $600.00 in wins and want my cards and products. I have been more than patient with the site and have tried everything I know to get them to comply, with no results. So now I am turning to you for help

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I want my cards and products sent. I have everything from [redacted] (and more) awarded to me and I simply want what I paid for. I also have products I won that I have not received. I have a detailed list which is also on their own website.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/05/24) */

We have been experiencing delays with shipping and certainly do understand the customers frustration. Our shipping department has advised there are 28 cards this customer us due that has not been flagged for processing for shipping.

They have advised that due to the volume of cards, due to [redacted] & other customers, we cannot ship all at once however, they have assured that some have been flagged for shipping. At this time, they do not have an exact ship date and will have more information shortly as they are working on getting out other shipments.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/05/27) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I can not accept their response because they have not shown a good faith effort to ship any of the cards due me. I was told on the phone that their shipments were current through the month of November but I personally have not received my cards due to me from November 17th 2012 on. I would like to know what cards they have flagged for shipping and when they plan on getting their shipping up to date. A month behind I could accept...maybe 2 but not 6 months behind. I either want to see results or settle what is owed to me.

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/06/04) */

We have shipments designed as BATCH24 which is scheduled to go out this week & see that there are approximately 8 cards flagged for [redacted] in a shipment designated as BATCH26. Nothing has been designated for her in BATCH25.

That would leave approximately 20 cards remaining for [redacted] which we will work to have sent out in subsequent batches.

Review: In addition to deceitful advertising, I haven't received any items I wonI won 3 auctions on December 22 and items haven't shipped yet. Also the advertisement for their items is very deceiving. I asked them to just refund my purchases since they have not shipped item yet. They said they will refund amount I paid for bid win but non of money I spent on the 1000 plus bids to win the item. I spent hundreds on bids for "coupons off" come to find out that it's only for discounts on bid packages that no one in their right mind would purchase. I just want the money back I spent for bids and prizes and be done with them. I see that they have very deceptive practicesDesired Settlement: I just want all the money I spent back and they can keep all the won items. I have never used/ received one item promised

Review: I have not received any of my auction wins and it's been over two months now. I do not want a fraction of a settlement for the money I spent on this businesses site. It's there advertisement of a 15 day good faith delivery and they have broken that trust to there customers. I have been in contact with them through e-mails and phone but nothing has helped. If Bidcastus cannot provide me with my wining auctions WHY should I be responsible for the bids I've lost; either ship my wins or refund all the money I've spent. Another thing I spend 20 hours a week on that site and for what? and now my wife is mad to the point that it's causing me marital problems; so how do I get a price value on that? One more thing, because of all my time and effort on this auction I have built up a reputation so that it has made me more formidable to win; you don't get that without losing and wasting a lot of bids so other people will think twice before challenging you, and now I guess I have to stop and see all my effort go down the drain. Come on Bidcatus live up to your advertising and delivery contract.Desired Settlement: I want to know that this company can be trusted, but so far they look to be ripping people off of thosands of dollars on a daily basis. I want my wins delived. And when you "Bidcatus" If you want to lose the trust of the customer then give me a whole refund and we will part ways.

Review: I have been waiting 21 business days now for [redacted] that I won while bidding on auctions. Something that can be emailed to you. They keep telling me they are working with their supplier of the [redacted] but they are behind. Yet with that, they keep running auctions for these [redacted] even though they can't fulfill the ones people have already won. I've also won 2 gift cards and have been waiting for those almost as long. This sight should be shut down and people get refunded for the money they have spent on items they haven't received.

Response:

BidCactus understands the frustration the customer had w/our delay in shipping. Our records show that he is / was due a total of 10 [redacted] that he checked out between August 10th - August 17th. He was emailed 6 of the 10 on Monday September 16th at 10:30AM with 4 remaining [redacted] yet to be shipped out. It would seem that this complaint was filed by the customer after the [redacted] were delivered to the email address on his account. If he has not received, we suggest he check his junk / spam folder as it's possible they were delivered there by his ISP.

Review: Bidcactus has not shipped items as advertised on their website. It is advertised that orders will be shipped within 15 business days after payment and this has not been the case. It is now the end of May 2013 and I am still waiting on orders from December of 2012. I have been in contact with the company by phone and by emails and have heard the same thing that I will eventually get my orders, but there is no timetable and no date that they can give me when my orders will be shipped. I have been patient, but when I hear of other customers getting current orders of things that I am waiting on, as well as they continue to sell items that I am waiting on, this is the last straw. I was slowing getting back ordered items but my last shipment of those came two months ago in March. Since then I have got a couple of newer items but nothing else from the older orders owed. I have not made an order in almost two months now and will not till this shipping issue is resolved.

Desired Settlement: I would like all of my orders that I have paid for shipped. I have orders from Dec-early march that have not been shipped or at least given a timetable on how this will be caught up. I want my orders fulfilled with a time frame that is reasonable for both of us.

BidCactus does not run AD's on [redacted]. The customer willingly visited our site & created an account at which point, he was offered the chance to purchase 125 BIDS at the discounted cost of $79.

He entered his billing & payment and selected "Buy Bids" and by selecting "Buy Bids", he allowed his CC to be charged $79 and 125 BIDS to be deposited into his account.

He then proceeded to use 21 of those BIDS to participate in an auction for an [redacted] iPhone.

There is information on the site works and based on the customer comments, he might have overlooked this as he was anxious to attempt to win the iPad.

BIDS used cannot be refunded however he had 112 BIDS remaining for which $69.93 was refunded on June 14th.

He called us regarding a refund on that date and a refund was processed based on his remaining BIDS.

Review: I won a lot of auctions and in the FAQ it states that after winning auction it should take know longer than 15 days to receive item. I haven't received any items and it has been way over a month. I call and email all the time and they say they have no idea how long it will be and can't even say if it will be before Christmas which is what all the items are for. Every single one of my items from bread pans to [redacted]s to gift cards are supposedly not available, yet they are still auctioning them off as we speak. The same items they can't get to me. They finally made an offer to refund the items I paid for minus all the money I spent on the bids. The huge amount of the money you spend on penny auctions is on the bids. I had to pay a lot of money on bids to win the items I did. By just refunding the auctions I paid for, I would be just giving them the hundreds of dollars I paid for the bids to win the items I never got. They even told me I should just take the refund because I'll never get the money for the bids. They are crooks and it's getting worse. I find out now that some people have been waiting almost a year for items, yet the are still auctioning off the same items they don't have for us.Desired Settlement: I either want my items with a ship date or I want all the money I ever put into it including the bids that meant nothing because it has been imaginary items they are auctioning off.

Business

Response:

We understand the customers disappointment that the items he won was not shipped w/in the time frame specified and he advised our shipping department is dealing with some shipping delays which they have been attempting to resolve. He was offered a refund for the end auction price + S&H for the items he won and a refund for any "Paid BIDS" he placed on those auctions.

Review: I was lured to bidcactus late June early July 2013, after responding to a [redacted] ad. I joined and purchased my 1st bid pack. After being on the site for about 3 months and spending over 3200.00 with several thousand in winnings I realized I did not received any of my shipped winnings. I proceeded to double check Bidcactus shipping policy which states winnings will be shipped within 15 days. 15, 30, and 45 days had passed however no shipment was received from Bidcactus.Several attempts were made by phone and email to Bidcactus unfortunately this matter has been resolved. Its clear that bidcactus has no intent in solving this problem. They have made me feel as thou Im the thief not them. They have my hard earned funds and I have nothing to show, this is not right.Ive attempted to resolve this through my payment source, However I was advised by [redacted] at Bidcactus that I will not win the claims. He said it with such confidence that its clear he is an expert at this. sample of my winnings [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the full amount of aprox 3200.00 that was paid to Bidcactus refunded or credit of the total retail value of all my winnings the were not shipped. i.e I won an [redacted]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Bidcactus continue to be dishonest and misleading to their customers, yes I was told by [redacted] at Bidcactus that I will not win my claim with my payment source. This company makes it difficult and impossible for their winning clients to enjoy their success. It seems as thou this company has an ongoing shipping issues for months maybe years of which they are fully aware of, this is more than reasonable time for them to implement a solution if their intent is not to defraud their clients. instead they exhaust their clients to the point of giving up the fight in return Bidcactus profit increases. The site continues to operate with daily winners whom may never receive their winnings. This is not acceptable. I'm here because all attempts verbal and written to resolve this issue with out a 3rd parties have been unsuccessful. As a consumer for many years this is my 1st Revdex.com complain. Its simple Bidcactus needs to ship all my items immediately, or provide me with a refund of the full retail value plus shipping charges of all the items they are unable to ship. If this is impossible then a full refund of all funds spent on their site. This should not take months, numerous calls and emails. its simple. Bidcactus please stop this and do the right thing. no more stalling, no more lies, no more excuses just do the right thing. I need this to end.

For other consumers who are experiencing the same issue with Bidcactus I've created an email address so we can come together to fight this issue please email me at [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: This company has no good intent, they were given 3 reasonable choices of which any organization with good intent would consider however they choose not to explore any of my options. At this time this company is refusing to speak to me verbal or written. Each time I call I met with rude condescending representatives who hang up the phone on me. All my email to this company is now going unanswered. These items go all the way back to July 2013. If they cant fulfill there winnings in this many months why are they still operating with winners everyday.

Review: Bidcactus has turned out to become a huge scam!! I have become a victim of thousands of dollars spend on this website bidding and at first I was receiving all of my gift cards won but all of a sudden they just completely stop! I tried called several times and the phone just goes straight up to a automatic voice mail. I am due thousands and thousands of dollars of my hard earn money on gift cards and items won back dating to November of 2012 and have not heard a single word from them!! I am so disappointed at the way they have treating me and the rest of the people they have scammed into spending money on them! AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I WANT MY ITEMS AND GIFT CARDS I WON SENT!! I HAVE BEEN REALLY PATIENT WITH THIS COMPANY AND I ABOUT HAD ENOUGH! I DON'T WANT AN EMAIL REPLY SAYING THAT YOUR GIFT CARDS ARE ON THE WAY BUT YOU DON'T KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING OUT, I WANT ALL THE [redacted], GAME CONSOLES, ELECTRONICS, GIFT CARDS THAT I WON FINALLY SENT OUT TO ME.. I HAVE A TOTAL OF OVER 10 PAGES OF FULFILLMENT THAT IS STILL OWED TO ME. I TRIED EMAILING AND CALLING AND YET I GET NO RESPONSE BACK!!Desired Settlement: I WANT ALL THE GIFT CARDS AND ITEMS I WON SENT OUT TO ME.. I ALSO WANT A FULL REFUND FOR REMAINING CREDITS I HAVE IN MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE I AM DONE WITH USING THIS WEBSITE WHO ROBBED ME OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. IF SENDING OUT THE GIFT CARDS CAN'T BE DONE I WILL LIKE A FULL REFUND FOR ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT BUYING BID PACKETS, BIDDING ON GIFT CARDS, FINAL SALE PRICE, AND SHIPPING COST FROM 2012 UNTIL JANUARY 2014!!

Review: Bids purchased, shipping paid on 70 plus items since February 2013, never received.

I am sure this is just one of many complaints filed against Bidcactus. This is one very sorry penny auction website. I have called customer service numerous times. I have gotten as many excuses why items are not being shipped as number of phone calls made. Customer service is always very nice, but there is no truth in anything they tell you. I have 70 plus items and gift cards going back to February 2013, bids paid for, shipping paid and never received.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the items won and paid for, if I did not want the items I would never have paid for bids and paid their outrageous shipping charges. Or, reimbursment for bids and shipping cost paid.

[redacted] has been a longtime customer of BidCactus and we appreciate her business. BidCactus has been experiencing a backlog which has resulted in an extended shipping delays.

Our shipping department is doing everything possible to get the items and cards the customer is due to reduce her longer than usual wait.

Our shipping department advised that some of the cards [redacted] is due will be shipped in a shipment designated as BATCH31 and another shipment in BATCH32.

We have contacted the customer directly and advised her of this an we certainly do appreciate her patience.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/08/23) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Bidcactus needs to be more specific as to when batch31 and Batch32 are to be shipped. I was told several weeks ago I would have gift cards going out in Batch 30, which did no happen. I also need to know how many gift cards are being shipped in Batch31 and 32. I spoke with [redacted] on August 21 and he confirmed I have 74 gift cards outstading since February 15, 2013. Are all of them being shipped in these 2 batches? I also have 5 items outstanding that [redacted] was not able to give me any information on. [redacted] is the person handling those items, never heard from her.

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/09/09) */

We spoke w/[redacted] last week and we did advise her that we cannot provide her with a specific date as to when each BATCH of gift cards will be going out.

There is a process involved w/each BATCH that includes getting the invoice, submitting payment, the cards being shipped & processed. [redacted] was also advised that a BATCH cannot be shipped until a previous shipment is completed.

I believe BATCH31 is being processed and the shipping department is working to get those into the office and out.

We appreciate her continued patience.

Review: Bid Cactus accused us of violating their site by using the same [redacted] account between father and daughter but it was clearly different and then said

they would "see" how much to refund and then get back to us by email or we can hold for 30 or more minutes. Extremely poor customer service and [redacted] the [redacted] and [redacted] is running a company that appears to be using people funds when they purchase bids thru his site and then trying to keep those funds by making false accusations of violating their site. It is by no coincidence that this company has over 150 complaints with the Revdex.com. Please look into this companies business practices as they seem very unethical. ThanksDesired Settlement: I would like them to stop cheating people out of their money and refund everything I have invested and my daughter has invested for nothing.

We are not sure how to respond to this complaint by the customer. They came to our site and violated the T&C which they read & by accepting, stated they understood and agreed not to violate. They then proceeded to create multiple accounts, share forms of payments & bid on the same auctions - colluding.

Review: I have spent well over $2000.00 bidding and winning items on this web site. They do not hesitate to take their money from my account or card that I provide to them. I have won several items since I began bidding on August 9th. I have received one of those items besides the bids that I won. I have contacted them and was told that they did not know when they would be sending out the items. I recently emailed them about some codes for on line cards I won. I was sent the code numbers that I already had but not the code to be able to purchase the items from the store. I also mentioned the items that I had won, and that I hadn't received any of them, and could they tell me when I could expect them. They didn't even address that issue. A few years ago I began bidding through their site and won several items. Although it takes a while to get them, I did receive all of my items except for one. They don't have anything up on their web site telling bidders that there will be a delay in sending the merchandise. This is very unfair of them. I have stopped bidding because I did not receive any of my items except for one thing. I would appreciate it if you would take the necessary steps so that I might receive my purchased items.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the items that I won sent to me, and I would like the rest of the information for the ecards that I won so that I can purchase the items through the stores that are listed; or I would like a refund of the money that I have spent. I would also like this handled in a timely manner please.

Business

Response:

BidCactus does not run AD's on [redacted] and is in no way related to those AD's. We have a large backlog of items to be shipped and this has resulted in the customers item not shipping w/in the time frame as promised.

Our shipping department has been contacted & requested that they ship this to the customer as quickly as possible. He will be updated once this has been shipped.

I have yet to receive any confirmation of the order shipping. The payment was processed immediately, but it's months before anything is shipped? During this entire time no notification or explanation has been provided of the delay? It seems that they are happy to not ship the product until they are called out on it, then they have a "shipping delay" conveniently.

As for the [redacted] claims, here are copies of three e-mails I received while searching for [redacted] on [redacted]. There have been at least two more in addition to these:

Hi

Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from.

I just purchased 3 of these from cactusretailer.com and I resold them for some extra money.

The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then put in a bid. That's what I do and I win most of the time.

Business

Response:

We apologize for the oversight or lack of action our part in getting the items shipped. Our accountant department has gone ahead and refunded the End auction price + S/H on the item in question.

Consumer

Response:

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I appreciate that they have refunded the price of the item and the S&H, however due to the nature of the business I had to purchase bids to win the product in the first place. In essence I paid a much higher price just to "win" the item that I then paid for. As such this refund is a fraction of the actual amount that I have paid Bid Cactus. In my previous correspondence on the complaint I addressed the total amount of expenditures. I still feel incredibly taken advantage of and deceived.

Review: I registered for an account with Bid Cactus, the online penny auction site. When I signed up I was charged $79.00 for the sign-up/ Bids charge, which gave me a limited amount of bids to use for there auctions. I began bidding and had finally won two different bids for vacation vouchers from there site. I was promised that I would recieve my winnings 7 days from the day I won. I had to pay for the shipping as well as another cost on top of that for the trips I won. Furthermore, two weeks later I never recieved any notification. I ended up writing the company in which finally recieved a response a week after that. The woman whom responded "[redacted]." said they dont know when they will be able to send my winning vouchers, but she would happily refund the shipping charge. I see now how they work.. take your money up front, then never send your winnings, and close your account. It has now been over 3 months since and I have not gotten any response back from them. I went to log into my account and sure enough my account is not active anymore. I've read other complaints that are very similar to my experience with Bid Cactus. All I want is a complete refund of my money wasted on this scam. I was a fool to try one of these penny auction scams. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all costs incurred from Bid Cactus including my initial cost.

Review: On March 26, 2013, BidCactus is a fraud like scam!

On March 26, 2013 I received an email from a [redacted] laptop inquiry that said that Bidcactus was how they had received the laptop that was for sale on [redacted] and highly recommended the site. When I emailed them back the email came back as undeliverableled, because it was a scam. Charged me $79 for nothing. Whole thing is a scam.Desired Settlement: Want to be refunded the $79 I was charged.

BidCactus had no part in any communication this customer stated he received from [redacted].

He visited our Penny Auction site willingly & he created an account. When he created the account, he was told he could make a purchase of 125 BIDS at the discounted cost of $79.

He willingly entered his PayPal billing information selected "Buy Bids" - we did not do that for the customer.

His account was then charged & 125 BIDS was deposited into his account. The customer them proceeded to use 35 of the 125 purchased BIDS; we offered him a refund of $56.88 for the 90 unused BIDS in his account as of 08MAY13 - he has not responded.

A refund for $56.88 was refunded to his account this morning.

Used BIDS cannot be refunded as he had the benefit of the purchase he made willingly.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/05/09) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I did not receive any offers of any settlement at all. Please produce proof of this $56.88 or $79 cashed by me or received by me. No emails to me from BidCactus. [redacted] never emailed me either.

Also this is not a penny auction it's a scam. In an auction you only pay if you are the high bidder. I didn't bid on anything. Checked Google after I checked out site. This is a scam, not legit. Should be shut-down.

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/05/16) */

The 125 BIDS for $79 that the customer purchased was delivered electronically into his account; he then placed 35 BIDS on a variety of git cards & additional BIDS. As the 35 BIDS he placed cannot be refunded, we refunded $56.88 to the customers PayPal account on May 8th at 8:07AM;

He needs to check his PayPal account for the refund. There's nothing else to be done on our end.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2013/05/17) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

This company is a internet scam and should be avoided. Uses [redacted] to gather victims. [redacted] has reimbursed the full amount by PAYPAL a couple of days ago. Would like to go on the record that this a rigged game and not an auction.
