I have been a customer of Ipsy and Birchbox. Ipsy has great customer service however I canceled and switched to Birchbox and it has products that are so much better. I am beyond obsessed with their site and their products. Great company!

We are not able to give out further information on this order, nor are we able to issue a chargeback. It appears someone may have input this customer's credit card information on our site. If there are fraudulent charges on the card, they must be reported to the bank. We apologize for any trouble.

Although, upon further research, I realized my husband's new debit card number had been used (which we had not provided and our bank is persistently denying providing), but Birchbox did offer a refund. I still find the entire ordeal unsavory and I am still questioning the ethics surrounding the transaction, but technically it has been resolved.

[redacted] purchased a rebillable yearly subscription on November[redacted], 2013. Per our FAQ;"All annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of every 12-month period so that you'll never miss a box (except gift subscriptions—see next question). We'll remind you via email when the...

auto-renew is about to happen. Yearly subscribers may choose to opt out of auto-renewal by clicking the 'Opt Out of Auto Renewal' link under 'Account Settings'. This link is available during the final month of your annual subscription."Because she did not opt out of the automatic renewal before November[redacted], we assumed that she did not want to cancel her subscription. We attempted to charge her card for renewal on November[redacted]. However, this charge did not go through. Since we did not receive any notification from her requesting that the subscription be canceled, we attempted a second charge on 11/*, and a final charge on 11/**. The charge on 11/** was processed successfully.On 11/**, [redacted] contacted us via email to advise that she would like to cancel her subscription and receive a refund. She then called the office earlier this morning. [redacted] canceled [redacted]'s account and issue a full refund for the yearly rebillable subscription charge.

[Yes there have been a number of complaints previously and I believe that points to issues in warehouse, logistics, and within the company itself or companies utilized during the course of product storage, packing, fulfillment and delivery as opposed to the customer.  I am simply asking to receive what I paid for.  When I opened my box the item was missing, as I have experienced previously on numerous occasions within the past year when ordering from the company.  Previously they have been gracious and accommodating however not today.  I never denied the information provided regarding tracking and delivery confirmation, but the item I paid for has not been received.  I would simply request a refund or a replacement of the item at this point in time and perhaps the company needs to address operations within the warehouse rather than denying the customer product that they have been charged for. ]

Customer has already been refunded in full for this order to purchasing MasterCard and to her Birchbox Points she applied as credit. This amount refunded totals to $48.64 and 130 Birchbox Points.

The customization window the customer is referencing is live on the merchant's site at the end of each month as advertised. A previous agent additionally suggested checking spam/junk folders to see if an email notification was there as customer is opted into merchant's promotional emails. The $5 fee was refunded for this additional customization on 5/**/17 to account for customer disappointment as well as a return shipping label was sent for customer to send back May box for an additional refund to the remaining $10 box fee.

[redacted] subscribed on October [redacted] under the email address he provided for this complaint. We charged [redacted] $20 when he subscribed for his first box. In reviewing [redacted]'s order, the promotion code for the 2 for 1 box deal was not included, which is why [redacted] did not receive 2...

boxes. As stated in our FAQ, we automatically rebill on the [redacted] of every month for Birchbox Man. This billing is automatic and occurs if the subscription is not cancelled before the [redacted] did not cancel, so his account automatically rebilled. However, the attempted charges were declined due to insufficient funds, so we never received payment on October ** or **. Though a box was shipped for the first initial charge, we have refunded [redacted] and that should appear back on his account in 3-5 business days. Overdraft fees come from the bank, so we are not able to restore those fees as we did not extract them. If [redacted] could please pass along the email address associated with the women's subscription, we will be happy to take a look into that as well, but we cannot locate the women's subscription without an email address.

Birchbox gift subscriptions work differently from the rebillable subscriptions [redacted] referenced in his initial contact. When a customer purchases a gift subscription, the first box will ship on a date that the customer specifies. In this case, [redacted] selected 11/*/2015 as the date the first...

box would ship. Both the men's box he purchased and the women's box he purchased shipped on 11/* and are updating normally. Birchboxes must be ground shipped, so they can take up to 10 business days to arrive, as noted in our FAQ which states, "Please allow up to 10 business days for the package to be delivered once it has shipped." The men's box [redacted] ordered is listed as out for delivery today, and the women's box tracking is updating normally and should be delivered within the next few days. We apologize for the trouble in contacting us. While we have live chat available and a guaranteed 48 hour response time over email, we also have a phone scheduler available so customers can schedule a phone call with us. We will follow up with [redacted] via email to confirm the details of his gift.

In light of our cross emails, what should the remedy be? I asked the Revdex.com to withhold publishing my complaint pending your outreach (they should give you a promotion, since the sales team had ample time to respond, yet failed to do so).  I await your advice.

We are so sorry for the trouble here, but we are not able to reverse the charge. The reversal must come from the bank as well as an investigation into the fraudulent charges. Please feel free to contact a Discovery Specialist, and they will be more than happy to speak with your bank directly to assist.

Without a court order, we cannot give out any customer information. We have relayed this message to this customer. We recommend getting in touch with the bank so that they can perform a chargeback and investigate any fraudulent activity.

 While this statement is true, why should I had to pay for shipping 
On the  $5.00 credit that was given to me.  I had to pay $5.00 for the item to be shipped which is like not having a credit to begin with. As for the review of the products that was for the first box that was never received.  And why should I have to pay for Birchbox to ship another box if I hadn't received the first one!? I know I am not the only one to complain about this same thing.

I received a subscription to this company for Valentine's Day. 1st how can you sale someone a box of free samples? Items were marked not for resale on them! One pair of ugly socks and a box full of samples of things I would never use to start with. They have you feel out a profile of what would work best for you after they have already mailed the first box of junk. I could walk into any mall and walk around and get these types of samples for free.
