Blast does have a specific cancellation policy that the member must met with the club manger when cancelling the contractThis is acknowledged and signed by the member when signing up for a membershipThere are notes that the member did come into the gym to cancel and the club manger was at lunch, the club GM did call [redacted] and left a message for him to call back, so far [redacted] has not returned the callAs a courtesy I will cancel this membership without the proper procedures that are required

Hi, I apologize for this members frustrationWe have a cancel policy for all members that they are aware of when they sign the contract that they agree with they sign that when they want to cancel a contract they need to come into the club and met with the club manager and sign a cancellation form and send that signed form into [redacted] our finance companyWe have no record of this member coming into the gym and signing the cancellation form and nothing was sent into ***The contract is now cancelled and again as a courtesy we wrote of the balance that has not been paid

To whom it may concern, as a courtesy we will cancel this membership ASAP with no further dueIf this member wishes to come back to Blast Fitness we would like to offer them one month membership with no charge

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Hi, I am sorry that *** did not do this when I told him this informationI also was not able to read the contract because it was an electronic versionNo paper version was ever providedThe lady who verbally explained the contract said to come in and cancel, which I didPlease note, that my consent to the contract was under protest due to the fact that they refused to provide me with a paper copy of the contractI did not have amble time to review the contract or the ability to review the contractThe lady said not to worry about itBesides the lack of cleanliness of the facility, I also received several unauthorized chargesI let [redacted] know, he might have cared but he told me that there was nothing he can do about itWhen I asked for his manager, he advised me that his manager can't do anything about it too Please do refund, especially the unauthorized chargesThank you Regards, [redacted]

I looked up this member in our accounts and we have several members with the name *** [redacted] , I will need this members account number and or address so I can assist with thisMy email address is [redacted]

I called this member to let her know that we refunded the money that was taken out of her account, the member was very happy and is currently still training with us

Complaint # [redacted] Agreement: [redacted] (Primary) - [redacted] We wish to address the correspondence you sent regarding [redacted] 's membership agreement with Blast FitnessWe believe that our members deserve the very best amenities and equipment to achieve their fitness goalsTo immediately provide these to you, we are excited to announce the transfer of your membership to [redacted] at [redacted] ***The current club located at [redacted] is in need of an exceeding amount of updates and repairs to both equipment and facilities, renovations we cannot make at this time, and the club will be closing May 15thHowever, we have canceled Mr [redacted] 's agreement and contacted our billing company to issued a prorated refund of his annual paymentThis could take up to business days for processing.Sincerely, [redacted] Blast Fitness Group LLC

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] My complaint is NOT regarding the buyout fee or even coming into the club, as dubious as the process wasMy complaint is regarding that I followed the unclear steps outlined to me, asked for verification several times, completed these steps and still have an active account that is being billedIn addition, I have now contacted a customer service representative and manager and have had no follow up nor resolution to my problemMy account is not only now incorrectly billed for November, but set to bill in DecemberI have requested cancellation in writing, paid the buyout fee, and jumped through all the hoops required to me to rectify this problemSo far, it seems I am the only one following through on rectifying this problemThis is not a new problem; there have been over similar complaints on this website aloneThe cancellation policy is unclear, not only to members but seemingly to employees of Blast Fitness and [redacted] Financial as wellAlso, I have noticed that Blast refers to their wordy contract that is NOT consumer friendly for most of their billing complaintsThe cancellation process was outlined incorrectly in the club, by the manager, who we MUST see in order to get paperwork in order to cancelThe process outlined to me by the manager does not match the virtually unreadable contractThis puts the consumer in a bad spotWhen I reach out to find out what I DO need to do to get this rectified, I get radio silence.Instead of referring to a poorly written contract and a TERRIBLE process in order to cancel, how about realizing there is a huge problem here and rectifying it? I think they are fully aware that is an issue and it is going unaddressedI reject this response because Blast relies on poorly written (and debatably unsubstantial) contracting to justify their terrible business practicesFor the sake of all the other people that have gone through this pain I will not take that as a justifiable excuseI will accept their response when I receive a resolutionI would love a resolution and I would like it soonI also would like something in writing saying my account is closed and I will no longer be billed. Please contact me regarding a resolution Regards, [redacted]

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] . I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. Regards, [redacted] I went and spoke with the manager and have a picture of how he took care of me. I was standing there waiting for him to respond to me for twenty minutes. This company is very unprofessional and makes is incredibly hard to cancel out the membership. He should have put a note on the profile. I will not take responsibility for the misconduct of the workers of blast fitness . I attached it to this email and I will not hesitate to post it everywhere.

We wish to address the correspondence you sent regarding [redacted] ' membership agreement with Blast FitnessUpon reviweing Mr [redacted] ' account, it does appear he attempted to follow up on his cancelation request with our billing company but no action was taken by the billing companyWe have removed Mr [redacted] ' membership from collections and canceled his account with no further payments due

I would like to see where there was a SIGNED contract that CLEARLY stated there is a day written notice required to cancelThis was never told to me nor did I ever see a contract at allAlso, on the date that this business is stating that I contacted the billing office is incorrect, I never contacted the billing office they were calling me constantlyI did tell them to send it to collections after the representative basically made it seem as if he could not help me and I had no other options like I said before he was very rude even after I informed him that I no longer lived near a Blast facilitySo what am I to do, drive over miles just tell someone AGAIN that I will no longer be using the gym-- Also, he did not mention anything at all about this contract either nor that it had to be in writing that I wanted to cancelAgain, I want to see this contract that was signed by meAs what I was informed was that there was NO CONTRACTS NEEDED-- it even says on the website " Commit to yourself, not to usNo contracts neededYou'll love Blast and will want to stay." Regards, [redacted]

After looking into this account I did see where this member did have a membership in 2014-The member quit paying his membership dues and our finance company tired to reach out to him several times, with no response from ***.I see no notes where this member tried to contact us to cancel his membershipBecause of no payment he was sent to collections for $that is past dueBecause we want to keep our current and previous members happy we will take him out of collections and he is welcome to come back and start a new membership and Personal Training
