I talked to [redacted] for approx mins via phone so I could gain a better understanding of her complaint, there was an extensive amount of work performed in a short amount of timeAfter reviewing the invoices of repair and charges in depth with [redacted] , she was satisfied

The receipt they gave me doesn't reflect what I got chargedI will get you my credit card statement and send that over to youThey did refund to something but I was charged like if I recall

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because the car was running and at least one hose did need replacedWe already knew that before the car was taken to the shopI dont know what [redacted] does not understand when I say that the reason the car was taken to the shop was so that the one hose we knew about would be replacedThey didnt replace itBottom line, whether I needed the water pump or not, I wanted at least the one hose that I knew was bad replacedIt wasnt put on the work order and it wasnt replacedI should have checked my receipt but didntWhen I was quoted the price I was lead to believe that the cost of all of the hoses being replaced was includedI dont know why it wasnt put on the work order or why it wasnt done but it was supposed to be and there lies the problemThey didnt do the job that I asked them to do which caused me to blow a head gasket and now Im out of a carWeve now got [redacted] investigating the incident with brakes plus and Im filing a small claims lawsuit Sincerely, [redacted]

I would like to start by clarifying the facts:04/09/16-inv# [redacted] - Ms [redacted] requested for us to install her customer supplied front brake rotors, sway bar bushings and perform an oil changemileage 140,05905/09/16-inv# [redacted] - Ms [redacted] requested we inspect her brakes for a vibration, check her air conditioning not blowing cold and her alignment- we recommended that we resurface her front brake rotors on the vehicle and replace the hardwarethe front brake pads had been replaced recently by another shopwe recommended she replace the rear brake pads, hardware and resurface the rotorsWe found that her vehicles Freon was almost empty and discovered a leak at the high side schraeder valvewe recommended the system be evacuated / recharged and the high side valve replacedMs [redacted] agreed to repairswe let Ms [redacted] know that we also injected a U.Vdye in the system if any further leaks required inspectionmileage 141,71405/11/16-inv# [redacted] - Ms [redacted] came back in and had the manager listen to a sound coming from the engine area [redacted] listen to a slight vibration sound that only happened when the A/C condenser fan comes on [redacted] also hears a noise from the fan clutch [redacted] explained to Ms [redacted] that we had no way to determine the exact sound she was hearing since it was very minor and suggested waiting for the problem to get worsemileage 141,83305/23/16-inv# [redacted] - Ms [redacted] came in to our shop with an A/C condenser requesting we install customer supplied partmileage 142,18005/31/16-inv# [redacted] - Ms [redacted] came by to take a service manager on a long test drive to listen now for a sound coming from the interior dash of the vehicleService manager " [redacted] ***" went for a long ride and the problem never occurredmileage 142,38506/20/16-inv#204955807- Ms [redacted] came by to have us inspect why her A/C wasn't cooling when she came to an idleWe re inspected the system and found that the system was full of Freon, but her A/C compressor is starting to failmileage 144,21506/21/I spoke with Ms [redacted] to discuss and try to help her understand what was happeningMs [redacted] told me that she was going to bring the vehicle to another shop to get a second opinion, but wanted her money back from usMs [redacted] agreed to call me back with the results and I informed her that if there was anything we could have caused that I would be willing to discuss a refundunfortunately, I'm still waiting on Ms [redacted] 's callhopefully this can be resolved quickly and fairly[redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/06/26) */ In responses to the complaint, we have attempted to contact this customer and they have not returned our phone calls. We installed a clutch master cylinder at the customers request ,which was supplied by the customer, in March of 2015. The... customer has since had the vehicle at multiple repair facilities after the original work on the vehicle was completed by Brakes Plus. Furthermore, the customer has not attempted to contact Brakes Plus to inform us of an issue with the vehicle at anytime since installation. We do not feel we are responsible for any repair made by other repair facilities because we were never informed by the customer that there was an issue with the work that was completed at one of our locations. Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday

Brakes Plus will repair the door handle at no charge to Mr***He will be receiving a call from our Palmer Park and Powers location to set up a time for the repair

We have been in contact with *** ***We were able to inspect the parts that were damaged/replacedThe work we performed had nothing to do with failed/damaged parts that she is claimingWe searched our database and were unable to find any records of any of our stores performing work that had
any relation to complaintWe did ask her to research her receipts and records and if we did damage her vehicle we would reimburse her for the damage

***, I do apologize for anything that was miscommunicated to youObvious we will make sure we recheck calibration on our micrometers I assure you there was no ill intent on our part and I thank you for bringing this to my attention

*** brought her vehicle in on two different occasionsThe first occasion was to check oil leakingBrakes Plus identified the oil pan gasket leaking on the vehicle*** was notified replacement of the oil pan gasket was a place to start but the vehicle had other oil leaks that could
not be exactly identifiedWe pressure washed the bottom of the vehicle and told her to return in days to identify additional issuesTwo weeks later *** returned. Brakes Plus Identified additional leaks from the front crank seal, rear main seal and possible transmission seal. Brakes plus repaired the front crank seal leak and recommended *** see a transmission specialist shop for the transmission leak and rear main seal leak.During the prior visits to Brakes Plus we told *** that the vehicle had many other issues not related to oil leaks*** declined paying for the diagnostics to check the other issues in the vehicle that she indicated upon her second visit to Brakes PlusBrakes plus repaired items for the oil leaks on the vehicle and also indicated additional work needed to be doneBrakes Plus provides warranties on all work we completed in our shopsBrakes Plus cannot be responsible for or pay for additional items the vehicle currently needs, or may need in the future. Brakes Plus does stand behind all work we completedIf *** feels the front crank seal or oil pan gasket was performed incorrectly, Brakes plus will refund any monies related to that serviceBrakes plus will need written documentation from any other reputable repair facility of her choice indicating the work Brakes Plus perform was done incorrectly and an explanation why

*** ***I am sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with your service you received at Brakes PlusI have found where you spent $with us on 8-5-During that service we replaced your front brake pads, front brake rotors, front brake hardware and flushed the entire brake system
After reviewing the technicians initial inspection form, I found that the front brake pads and rotors were completely worn outThe brake fluid was flush because it was dirty and for the mileage on the vehicleThat problem was obvious with the vehicle and those services were neededBrakes Plus did not sell you any services that were not neededWith the vehicle having obvious issues, we want to address those first. In some circumstances a vehicle may have additional issues, but to prevent replacing unneeded parts we want to replace the obvious parts first and then address additional issues after. On the second visit they were unable to confirm and diagnose your complaint of the soft brake pedalAgain, we don't want to charge you for parts that are not needed so that's why you were never charged any additional money beyond the $for the initial repairs.You do have a full warranty at any Brakes Plus location if you feel like the soft brake pedal is related to the work we have performed for you.If you would like any further assistance with this issue feel free to contact me at ***

I am rejecting this response because: The business has distorted the facts In addition to the drive shaft being improperly assembled, resulting in damage to the yoke which required replacement The alignment was not done with expected results They stated they could not find a U Joint for my truckU Joints are readily available This is a Ford truck with a U Joint that has been used on literally millions of vehiclesThey had possession of my truck for several days I was told at one point they need to stop work on it, as the mechanic working on it went homeAfter the second attempt for correction, I took the vehicle elsewhere for repair I incurred additional expense, due to their failures I feel that the response from Brakes Plus is an attempt to hide damaged by them This is a clear case of theft through deceptionThey know the following to be true, my vehicle was not properly repairedThey did not have the ability or knowledge to properly repair my vehicle They had no right what so ever to charge me The work they performed on my vehicle caused me to incure further damage, expense, loss of use

To start, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience this situation has causedI would also like to say that if you are still experiencing and issues we will gladly look at the vehicle and remedy anything that is related to the work that we performedThe store is under new management and

As for the amount charged:
On the original invoice (133240063), the total was in fact $If we look at the services in question (struts and alignment) in regards to the noise, the total was $The rest was the brake work
We replaced the control arms at no charge (invoice 133244544), and if you reference the attached quote with the price, it is $With that total and a $alignment (which is required with control arm replacement) that was also done at no charge (not listed on invoice because technician was not paid for it, that totals $performed at no chargeThe difference of the two is $
I would be willing to refund that amount ($79.47) or extend a $in store credit to the customer

You brought your vehicle to Brakes Plus to have us look at a fluid leak, that you did not know what the cause wasThe was the diagnostic charge to be able to diagnose where your vehicle was leaking fromWithout this diagnoses you would have not known what was
causing the fluid leakThe diagnostic charge that you paid the *** store of was approved by you, before any repairs were done and will not be refunded since this determined the cause of your fluid leak that you could not self-diagnose Although we did not agree with the way you wanted the repairs done at the *** store, and a different Brakes Plus did agree to do the repairs and have you sign a liability waiver, this does not give you any right to a refund of the diagnostic fee, towing fee, or any other repair fees performed to fix the vehicle at a different automotive facility As for your A/c issue, I assure you, we don’t take things personal or ( get back at people ) for not wanting to do repairs with us Brakes Plus has been in business for over years, because we do what is right, whether it is in favor of our company or not, but in this case we will not be issuing any sort of refund

I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you, along with the distrust for Brakes Plus The fact of the matter is that regardless of the condition of the tie rods in September, you should've been told before the alignment was done, to allow you to make the decision on what you
wanted to do I will issue your refund
