The refund has not been processed yet and there are no refunds appearing as "pending" on my credit card.I am expecting a total refund of $849.97 based on two payments: the initial order of $778.98 and the second charge for $70.99 for the fake upgrade to a USA version (coerced via bait-and-switch and high-pressure sales schemes).The tracking number records show that the return was delivered 8 days ago. If this refund isn't processed soon I will have no choice but to escalate a dispute with my credit card company.I have documented the whole process of opening the package and have several dozen screenshots of complaints from other customers with similar problems. If I file a dispute with my credit card company, I will win. Stop wasting my time and your time, just hurry and get this over with.

I did speak to [redacted] yesterday (4/**) and he told me the item was shipped. I have received the package from 42nd photo. It was shipped on 4/**/15, not on 4/**/15 as they stated.  I found out that the product is gray market thus the warranty I purchased maybe invalid (according to a Nikon rep at Nikon). My other concern is that gray market products are usually cheaper, but my invoice indicates I purchased the camera for $699.99.  Nikon sells it for $599.99.  I cannot get in touch with the salesperson [redacted] who I was told by 42nd photo is the only one who can give me a breakdown of the invoice.  I do not want a gray market product that I paid $700 for without any type of guarantee that the warranty is valid AND without a breakdown of the invoice. The online price is $569.00 this includes:EN-EL23 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion BatterEH-71P Charging AC AdapterAN-CP21 StrapLC-CP29 Lens CapUC-E21 USB Type-A Male to Type-B Micro Male Cable (Black) Free shippingI would like a breakdown of the invoice as to what I paid an extra $130.00 for. In connection with Complaint ID #[redacted], 42nd Street Photo has prepared the following response in rejecting the customer’s request for a refund.  The customer purchased a Sony Camcorder from 42nd Street Photo in July 2016 and received the item several days after placing the...

order.  One month after receipt of the item, the customer sent back the item to 42nd Street Photo without prior notification or explanation and without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).  The 42nd Street Photo Return Policy clearly states, "If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for exchange or refund within 10 days of receiving it and after receiving a return merchandise authorization number from 42nd Street Photo”.   Although the return was outside the 10-day permitted window and the RMA requirement was not followed, 42nd Street Photo contacted the customer to determine the cause of the return and attempt to resolve any issue for the benefit of the customer.  The customer claimed the item was not working properly.  In actuality, the customer had the camcorder operating on an incorrect setting.  Once this was explained in detail, 42nd Street Photo tested the item fully to ensure the item is in proper working condition and resent the item to the customer at the Company’s expense.  The customer rejected the delivery and in subsequent conversations to resolve the issue, alternatively claimed the microphone setting was not working, the cause of which was subsequently determined to be the customer’s failure to install a battery (as detailed in the User Manual) and then falsely claimed that they never ordered the item in the first place and that their credit card had been stolen.  Clearly, this was a blatant attempt to avoid responsibility for their purchase and the credit card company properly rejected their chargeback attempt. 42nd Street Photo currently has the item in its New York City warehouse location and has requested on multiple occasions for the customer to send a shipping label so the Company can resend the item.  42nd Street Photo has not heard from the customer and has not received a shipping label with which to process the return.  I refuse to continue this pointless chat. I have the conversation on record from when I went in to the store, and specifically have proof that the representative agreed that the camera was broken. I will call the VP of Sales to suggest that perhaps he should take a look at all the complaints that this store has online, as well as all the reports with the Revdex.com. Side note: When you type in the name of this store on [redacted], the search bar automatically adds the word "scam" to the end of the search.
