In connection with Complaint ID #[redacted] 42nd Street Photo has issued the following response: Upon review of the above mentioned claim, first and foremost, the customer received the exact item that they ordered. In the complaint, the customer states that she upgraded her order to receive...

a 3 year warranty instead of the 1 year warranty that Nikon offers for USA models. We shipped the order exactly as she ordered it on August [redacted] of 2015, which was over a year ago. All of our customers are made aware of our return policy of 30 days, which we extend to customers because we understand that sometimes there are issues with the products. Had we shipped a one year warranty that Nikon offers, her claim would not even be supported because she filed this complaint over a year later. We shipped the 3 year warranty with the Nikon D750 camera exactly as she ordered it. To further explain her claim, she states that she went to calibrate a lens to her camera and that’s when she was told her camera was not a USA model. Nikon makes two types of cameras. One type is FX cameras, and the second type is DX. The FX is a full frame camera that Nikon designed to work with 80% of lenses that they make. The DX camera works with all lenses that Nikon makes, however the FX is a better camera. Our customer ordered the FX model, and that’s what received.  She did not include any information about who tried to calibrate her camera with a lens, or what type of lens it was, but to our knowledge at 42nd St. Photo, it was most likely a lens that was not compatible with the FX Nikon camera that she ordered. It’s unfair of her to discredit our name, when she included no information to whether the person who attempted to calibrate the lens to her camera was even credible. Our customer service is very important to us and we would have gladly submitted a full refund, with no restocking fees, if the customer would have called within our policy dates.  Unfortunately, this order was placed on August [redacted], 2015, which is over a year old. We firmly believe there was no misconduct on our side, or with the product. There is nothing wrong with the camera, and it is the exact model that he ordered. The reason we enforce this policy is because the item will be returned used for over a year, and it will have lost value. Although we stand by our belief that our customers are always right, and we always want to make them happy first and foremost, we do believe in this specific case it is unfair to have to refund a customer due to a complaint that is not valid. Our customer satisfaction is our number one priority, but it is a customer’s responsibility to abide by the regulations of the company that they are purchasing from as well. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. They never responded on this until I made the complaint. They shipped another flash on 1/**/2016 as shown on the ups tracking number supplied. I am not interested in doing business with them. I would like to refuse the flash and get a credit. Please let me know if this is possible. I do not trust these guys. they offer no part numbers on their invoices so how do I know what I originally paid for. please just credit my account.
