Our office received the account from the creditor Progressive Insurance in June 2017 for recovery of unpaid auto insurance premiums.

Our system indicates that the credit bureaus have been notified of the paid in full status. There is no indication of any request for trade line deletion in the system.

Our office will review any documentation received from the consumer providing details as to why the consumer believes a credit deletion is needed.

We encourage the consumer to contact our office at *** for additional assistance.

Our office received the account from the creditor in January 2020 for recovery of unpaid auto insurance premiums. Our records indicate that the creditor still shows the balance as due by the consumer. We do not show receiving any correspondence directly from the consumer. As a courtesy in May 2020 our office mailed the consumer correspondence detailing the policy number, vehicle types and coverage dates specific to this account for review.

Based upon the information in the file our office closed the account under a fraud status.

We encourage the consumer to contact our office at ***5 for further assistance.

I do not owe anyone. I don't even have Progressive as my insurance carrier. This debt is not mine! I will be following up with the CFPB.

KNOWNINGLY reporting false, inaccurate information.
This account was paid in full with Progressive on June 29th, 2020. Progressive informed me that Caine & Weiner was updated with this information. When I called to speak to someone at Caine & Weiner, they were very rude and proceeded to tell me that my information would not be accepted. At this time, I explained to them that they are IN FACT reporting INTENTIONAL inaccurate information. They claim they didn't receive any information from Progressive. I hung up with them and contacted Progressive again. They told me how the process works and also followed up with the fact that Caine & Weiner ACKNOWLEDGED RECEIPT of this information. They are knowingly reporting false information on my report and I will be contacting a lawyer immediately after I submit this complaint. This is no way to treat anyone. My wife and I are looking to buy a home and they are preventing us from doing so. Thank you!

Desired Outcome

I want this FALSE, INACCURATE account to be taken care of IMMEDIATELY. I do not wish to take this to the courts but I absolutely will if I feel my rights CONTINUE to be violated.

Our office received the account from the creditor in March 2018 for recovery of unpaid auto insurance premiums. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time.

We do not show receiving any correspondence directly from the consumer.

Our records indicate that we just received notification from the creditor on 6/30/2020 that the account is paid in full. Our file has been updated and the credit reporting agencies will be notified accordingly in the normal course of business operations.

The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at *** for additional assistance.

This is still reporting on my credit report even though you guys know for a fact this is invalid. Then I was just informed it would take SIXTY days? That's highly unacceptable. I am trying to purchase a house!

Caine & Weiner Response • Jul 09, 2020

As noted previously our office did process the payment notification on 6/30/2020 as per the information provided by the creditor.

Our file indicates PAID IN FULL and we are notifying the credit reporting agencies accordingly.

We do show mailing the consumer correspondence confirming the deletion on 7/2/2020.

The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at *** with any additional questions.

Customer Response • Jul 09, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Reiterating the same response isn't helping me understand why SIXTY days is appropriate? Ridiculous.

Customer Response • Jul 13, 2020

This was removed, finally. Thanks!

My Complaint is against progressive insurance company.

Progressive insurance company will not help me to lower my premium. I shopped around and found Geico which was hundreds of dollars cheaper a year. I obtained Geico insurance and I sent progressive a letter stating I didn't want their insurance anymore. I was still build and I called progressive also

Desired Outcome

I would like this removed from my credit report. Apparently no matter what I do I still have to pay it. It's $119. It was more of the principle of the situation.

We received mail return for the most recent correspondence sent to the consumer to the address listed by the consumer in this complaint as accurate. We are re-sending the documentation to the original address to which the consumer received our initial correspondence and to which there was no mail return. The creditor still shows the balance as due by the consumer per our records. We do not show receiving any correspondence directly from the consumer. Once again we encourage the consumer to contact our office via phone at XXX XXX-XXXX for further asssitance.

Initially I was notified by the credit bureau stating that there was new collection activity on my report. When I pulled it up and saw that *** & *** had submitted a fraudulent bill to my report. I immediately contacted the company and requested documentation from them, because the company did not contact me via phone, email or postal mail prior to submitting the information to the credit bureaus. Once I spoke with them requesting a letter about their company, it took them about 3 months to receive the letter in which by law they are to contact the recipient and give them 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt. However, they did not send a letter prior to sending the info over to my credit report. The account in question is one that I don't owe and is in fact inaccurate, but *** & *** didn't investigate it, they just submitted the information. I fully dispute the debt and the fact that *** & *** have not provided customer service any documents to prove the debt is valid. I've contacted them and disputed the debt with them and to this day they have not responded. I also contacted the insurance agency progressive disputing the debt, being that I didn't have insurance with them for the time frame noted, because I chose not to renew the policy due to their underlined hidden fees. I went back to Geico instead. Progressive sent me email stating that the policy was in fact canceled prior to renewal and they were charging for re-writing the policy and there was no coverage. *** & *** have been horrible. I disputed the bill with all 3 credit bureaus and it was removed from Transunion in March 2020. As of today during this pandemic and the affect of COVID-19 they submitted to my Experian credit report as a collection account and bad debt. They can not submit false information to add to my report without prior contact with me to validate the debt. They received information from Progressive and submitted and did not attempt to contact me at all. I had to contact them.

Desired Outcome

Correction to a credit report I want it to be removed from my credit report immediately. As of today it has affected my credit score with experian. I dropped my score down 23 points when it cam in today. It also will affect my approval from the Department of Education for a Parent Loan to pay for my child's college tuition.

Our office received the account from the creditor in April 2019 for recovery of unpaid auto insurance premiums. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. Our records also show that we spoke with the consumer in May 2019 and again in August 2019 to review the account. We spoke with the consumer in November 2019 at which time the consumer stated there was other insurance coverage and would provide proof. In June 2020 we did receive communication from the creditor to close the account. The account is not currently reported to any of the credit reporting agencies.

Reporting of collections to credit bureaus with a negative score impact during time of national crisis.
I was made aware of a collection account from Progressive insurance for 138.10 when I received an alert from Wallethub of a score decrease of 35 points. I immediately paid the debt directly with Progressive and was told that it would be marked as paid in full and that C & W would also be notified. Due to my wife's dangerous and difficult pregnancy as well as the Covid 19 pandemic paying this was an innocent oversight. It's a sad state our country is in when a companies prey upon hard working people to collect money from them when most Americans are struggling to stay afloat. Shame on Progressive and C&W for this. I am requesting that Caine & Weiner remove ANY DEROGATORY MARKS FROM ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS IMMEDIATELY AS WE ARE IN AN UNPRECEDENTED TIME OF EMERGENCY IN OUR COUNTRY AND WORLD WITH THIS GLOBAL PANDEMIC. This DEBT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL WITH ORIGINAL DEBTOR.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that Caine & Weiner IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ANY AND ALL DEROGATORY MARKS FROM ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS. WE ARE IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC AND AMERICANS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT CREDIT DURING A TIME SUCH AS THIS. REMOVE IMMEDIATELY FROM MY CREDIT REPORT AS THIS DEBT HAS BEEN FULLY SATISFIED WITH THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR.

Caine & Weiner have fully satisfied any compliant that I have had against them. Thank you!

Such a crooked company!!

I owed Progressive insurance $147 back in February 2019 due to coverage that had lapsed. Fast forward to February of this year 2020, and I got a new policy with Progressive. But...as EVERYONE knows in order to get a new policy with them I had to pay my previous balance off. Now, because of the timing as to when my previous policy canceled and when that last payment was due, my balance ended up being around $95 instead of the $147. I paid that balance, plus my first month's payment. I thought everything was good...paid my balance, plus got my car covered again, great! However that was not the case.
As of last month I disputed the $147 through Equifax, twice, with both responses coming back as still "Unpaid". I sent solid proof the second time showing the amount paid being paid off to the Original creditor. Wtf?!? If *** & Weiner thought I was going to pay them, they were sadly mistaken. I have always been told to NEVER pay a collection agency due to their mostly shady practices.
So here is where it lies, still on my credit report. But don't worry, this will get resolved VERY soon.

Contacted company on balance owed. Payed 50.00 on 02/16/20, check *** was under impression I would be getting statements in mail as a reminder
Acc #XXXXXXXX, balance due 295.00

Paid 50.00 toward balance check #*** on 02/16/2020

Was advised I would get monthly reminders or bills in mail to pay I RECEIVED NOTHING

on 04/14/20, I was reported to ALL major credit bureaus as a "DELINQUENT" collection account

Desired Outcome

1)REMOVAL OF THIS COLLECTION ACCOUNT FROM ALL CREDIT BUREAUS AT ONCE 2)I WILL PAY CREDITOR DIRECTLY-PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE 3) "NATIONAL CRISIS" GOING ON, PANDEMIC. REMOVE AT ONCE

I had an account sent to collections even though I didnt owe the money. They didnt contact me at all before making derogatory ***'s on my credit .
Their representatives were nasty and refused to work with me about finding a resolution. My credit score was hurt because of this. I filed a dispute and won, but my credit hasnt recovered. They are the worst of the worst and it seems like they hire people who enjoy being uncooperative.

Desired Outcome

I need my credit score restored

I paid a debt with this company and they never sent any receipt or letter about this payment. Also they didn't take it from my CR as agreed.
I found on my credit report a debt of *** from Caine & Weiner. After calling them I found out it was a debt from Progressive. I agreed to pay this debt in Full and asked them to immediately take it from my credit report. The lady on the phone agreed with everything I asked and I made the full payment of the debt. I never received any correspondence (receipt, letter, etc) that can prove that I made this payment. I called them and the man on the phone was surprised they never sent it. Also he said they were still working on removing it from my credit report. It never happened. Never received the letter and also this is still showing as an unpaid debit on my report. I ask them to please solve this situation as it is causing several issues for me. All the people that I spoke on the phone were very nice and supportive and I'm thankful for it but I need this situation solved. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

Desired Outcome

I ask them to send a receipt or a letter proving that I paid it in full and also take it from my credit report as agreed by phone between me and them.

Our records indicate receiving correspondence from the consumer in March 2020. Our office was able to speak with the consumer in response at which time the account was paid in full. Our office has also reconfirmed with the consumer that the credit reporting agencies are being notified of the payment in the normal course of business.

Received a first call from this alleged collection agency for a $*** debt I have no record of. I cancelled a subscription to an online dating service.
I canceled the online dating service (based in Germany) and they are apparently trying to extort $*** from me. I hadn only joined on 3-August 2019 and canceled when I was only getting fake profiles.

They acknowledged the cancellation and are now trying to allegedly extort $*** from me. I will be contacting my attorney and the proper US government institution to place a complaint of unfair business practices.

The collection agents threatened that I only had 64 days to resolve this "or else it would impact my credit". I do not take threats like this lightly, and they were rude and unprofessional. They are clearly working on a high commission structure and immediately turned rude when I challenged them.

Desired Outcome

The collection agency has not done their due diligence to ensure that their client has followed through on canceling my account as I requested in September 2019. They need to cease and desist threats to my credit and, if there is any damage to my credit after this is resolved, I will bring a suit against the collection company.

I was told upon making a payment arrangement that since I was making payments on a debt that it would not be reported in my credit report. It was.
I had signed up for a gym membership in my local town in 2016. Not finishing the contract due to unemployment they turned me over to collections. (Caine and Weiner) I first challenged the validity of the account because upon becoming unemployed I spoke with the gym and explained the situation and he said that everything was good and I would not have to worry about the contract. It was not a written agreement therefore I had no proof and no recourse. I reluctantly made a payment arrangement because my current employer requires me to maintain a good standing in my just debts. I was told by *** (phone number (***)) that because I made a payment arrangement that the account would not be listed on my credit report. Upon checking my credit report today, I observed that account was listed. I called Caine and Weiner to ask them to take it off. They instead denied that they made statements saying that it would not appear on the report. Her supervisor said he would play back the call. He subtly denied what I said happened. And he was VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I want the Revdex.com to review the phone conversation because I believe they are impartial and not dishonest unlike Caine and Weiner.

Desired Outcome

I want the account to be wiped from my credit report (I will finishing paying the account off) and a mailed letter from Cain and Weiner apologizing for their lack of professionalism and honesty.

Caine & Weiner Response • Mar 27, 2020

Caine & Weiner continued collection activity on account they never validated.
On October 9, 2019 Caine & Weiner received my certified letter requesting validation of an account(s) *** I have not received a response. Under Texas Finance Code Section 392.202 a debt collection agency has thirty (30) calendar days to respond to a debt validation request. If they fail to respond to validation request then they have essentially admitted, per Texas Finance Code 392.202(b)(2), that the debt in question is inaccurate. As of March 4, 2020, 2020 they are still reporting account on my credit. Which puts them in violation of various state collection laws. I am making every effort to resolve this matter without presenting this matter in court. I am confident that by channeling this dispute through the Revdex.com, a more simple resolution can be made. If they delete the account, cease reporting it to the credit bureaus, and provide written confirmation of the same, I will consider this matter resolved.

Desired Outcome

If they delete the invalidated account, I will consider this matter resolved.
