RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: *** XXX-XXX-XXXX
I received a letter dated 05/16/2018 from *** & Weiner *** XXX-XXX-XXXX demanding I pay $*** from Best Buy. I immediately contacted Best Buy and they said I should not have received this letter from a collection agency. I then contacted my card issuer, Barclays and informed them about this. My credit card was fraudulently used at Best Buy in October 2017. Barclays completed a fraud investigation and determined I was not responsible for the charges on the card and closed the case. They sent the results to Best Buy. I spoke with *** and she informed me I needed to file a police report and send her the letter from the fraud department. I contacted Best Buy today because this did not sound legitimate. Their Primary Support team said this did not sound right. They told to me disregard the letter from *** & Weiner. She assigned a case number to me CASE ID:XXXXXXXXX XXX-XXX-XXXX Ext: 340 Primary Support. I called *** back today, 05/24/2018 and advised her of what I was told. *** became agitated, raised her voice and would not let me speak. She spoke over me and would cut me off while I was speaking. This occurred throughout the phone call. She asked me to "3-way" the call to Best Buy so she could straighten them out with me on the phone. I said she needed to do that as this whole thing is wasting my time. She asked if I was refusing to file a police report. I said I will file a police report only if this is not remedied on her end. She then stated, in a raised angry voice, "I'm going to put down that you refused to file a police report!" *** then hung-up on me.

Desired Outcome

I want my name and personal information removed from this company's database. If in fact this is legitimate, they need to work this out with Best Buy in needed.

Our office received the account from the creditor on 5/14/18. Per creditor records at that time the balance was shown as due by the consumer.

Prior to receipt of this complaint our system has been updated to reflect the consumer's dispute and allegation of identity theft.

To date our office has not received any written correspondence either from the consumer or the creditor with any documentation providing proof that the debt is not owed or proof of any fraudulent activity.

Our office has opened an investigation and has contacted the creditor for more details. Our file will be updated appropriately upon receipt of any additional information from the creditor.

The consumer is encouraged to provide our office with the appropriate documentation detailing the dispute and is also encouraged to contact our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager to assist further in resolving the matter.

I was called by someone and was refused information on the phone call.
The employee called me and refused to explain where she was calling from. I understand privacy laws and such but as human being I have every right to know who is calling me before giving out my personal information. There are to many scams going around where people use your own voice recording for scams. The employee then made comments when I finally told her my name like that was so hard. There was applause and laughing in the background so I refused to give her any information as I felt the company was a joke. I hung up on her then called the company and asked for a supervisor and got dumped in a voicemail which I figured would happen.

Desired Outcome

I do not want them to ever contact me again. The company can find a different agency to work for them . I REFUSE to speak with them.

The person who called me was disrespectful and failed to fill identify where she was calling from. There was laughter and applause in the background like some type of joke. I have no problem identifying who I am but when it's my personal information and your employee says something along the lines of "was that so difficult " I have issues

Every time I call to ask for a manger I get placed into a voicemail I'm done with these people

Collections that I don't owe at all.
I had dome some business with another company and I had no problems back in 06/21/2016. I got 2 letters from this company stating that I owe them $714, First if all, I don't know how they got my information and how they interfere with my private life and my credit. I found out that from my credit report that the company is there. I had dealt with WU about this and they told me to ignore it which I did. I didn't expect their mail or anything.

Desired Outcome

The resolution that I am requesting is to remove the claims that I don't even owe off from my credit reports and clear my name as well.

There are two accounts for the consumer that were assigned to our office in June 2017 for recovery of money owed to the original creditor. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. We were unable to reach the consumer by phone. Our office just received contact from the consumer and appropriate documentation has been mailed detailing the balances due. Appropriate updates have been sent to the credit reporting agencies.The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at *** and ask to speak with a manager with any additional questions.

Company accessed my credit report with Equifax and made a derogatory entry. I was not notified in advance
Problem began the end of March 2018. *** & Weiner accessed my Equifax credit report and made a derogatory entry for a collection account. I was never contacted in advance and had no notice. *** & Weiner has not called or given me any information regarding the account. On 4/5/18 and again on 4/24/18 I sent two certified letters to *** & Weiner and both times they failed to sign for the certified letter, effectively ignoring both letters. On 4/30/18, I called *** & Weiner and spoke to *** and then a manager, ***, the manager. *** told me my name and my phone number are not in their system and they do not have an account for me. I told them they accessed my Equifax credit report and failed to inform me. *** stated she had no record of my name. I asked to have the record deleted from my Equifax report in my letter. Since *** told me she has no record of my name, phone number or account in her system, they do not have any record and must delete this from my credit report. The laws for the FTC, FCRA and FACTA are very clear. And, because I have a fraud alert on my credit report, the collection agency is required to notify me in advance. I was never notified or contacted by this company. There is no account, no validation, this account does not belong to me.

Desired Outcome

Remove the derogatory entry from the Equifax credit report that was placed on my credit file in March 2018.

Our records indicate a possible match to the consumer filing the complaint by name only, with no matching information for any other data including address and phone number. This may be the cause of any confusion from prior phone calls from the consumer with our staff. We are not sure to what address the consumer has sent any prior correspondence. Our current mailing address is *** We do respond to correspondence received. The consumer is encouraged to submit a copy of the credit report details including the name of the original creditor via mail or fax (866) 501-1906 so that we can assist in determining if the account in our system is in fact a match to the consumer. This information can also be reported to us via phone to either of our consumer collection department managers. Our main phone number is 818 226-6000 We look forward to assisting the consumer further and to resolve any account with the creditor if appropriate

Clay a supervisor with this company is highly unprofessional and management should review his conversations with customers. Today I called in about a debit that was on my credit report and wanted to pay it but things escalated once I was told I had a higher amount then what was reported. I ask to speak to a supervisor and was told there where no supervisors on the floor and was told I would get a call back in a hour. Clay contacted me back and demanded that I make a full payment. I advise him that I would only pay what I saw on the reports and then he stated " you can mail in a payment or use a checking account because if I take a payment from your debit or credit card you will call the bank and do a stop payment." I asked he why he thought that and he stated " because based of your actions that is what I feel will happen" ( An assumption). He then proceeded to say only way that he would take a debit or credit card payment is if I pay to full balance owed to the company. After advising him again I would only pay the amount owed on the credit reports, he than proceeded to act like he could not hear me and disconnected the call. I called back and he did the same thing a second time. I called a third time he pulled up my account and then without telling me connected to a supervisor by the name of Taylor who worked with me to remove what she said was a " service fee" and would remove the item from my credit in 30 days. She was very kind and did an excellent job resolving the issue. However this company should re-evaluate Clay's role as he is not fit to be in leadership based off the way he interacts with customers. I understand that it is collections but when you verbally attack someone it speaks a lot about character and ones leadership skills. This by far was the worst experience I have had with any company.

Our company was contacted by *** & Weiner, Hanna Golden, regarding a disputed debt with a shady company which sells inferior supplies and continues to ship without prior authorization. The representative of this company seems to have been trained not to listen to the explanation offered regarding the disputed charges, but to collect at all costs. This representative resorted to threats and bullying. I will not yet submit a complaint until speaking with *** & Weiner once more. If I am dissatisfied with the outcome and my company credit rating is compromised, a complaint will be forthcoming.

Acct # XXXXXXXX debt for $257.57

I received a called from a *** that not clear of who she was. She begin by saying I calling regarding a debt you owe in the amount of $257.57 for progressive. I immediated stated I paid that bill. She said no you did not and you know you have not and you owe this money and if you fail to pay we will report you to the credit bureau and garnished your wages.

The conversation got so heated I said miss send me something validating this debt, she replied "Why you know you owe so you need to pay". I told her I had no knowledge of who she was, and never got anything regarding this in the mail. I asked her when did she get this account and it was on the day she was calling me. I told her to send me something in the mail validating who she was and the debt she claim I owed. I discontinue the called. I received a letter and upon another call. I told her again I do not owe this debt and she threaten me with a "court order, garnishment and notifying the credit bureaus".

I asked her not to talk to me in the tone she had and to stop yelling. She told me I lost all rights to be treated like a customer because I was in debt and need to take responsibility of this if I wanted to be treated accordingly. She stated again she was reporting me, if I do not pay immediately.

I sent a letter asking to validate the debt on April 3, 2018, upon receiving a letter from *** and Weiner on March 21,2018. Since that time I have spoke to Progressive, to review my account after I had turned in my lease in February, 2018. I request this company to cease and desist any communication with me. Their method/unlawful act in trying to collect on a debt is in valilation of FDCPA 807 (15 USC 1692e) (4) (5). If a debt is owed by anyone/me they are not to threaten me. I have discussed this account with Progressive who moving forward is the only company I will speak with regarding this matter. Any money due will be sent directly to Progressive and my credit report should not reflect anything from this company base on the language in the letter received from them on March 21, 2018. They should be ashamed to have employees speak in this matter with threats.

Desired Outcome

The company to cease and desist in communicating with me regarding this account. and return this matter to the original creditor. Progressive is the employer of *** and Weiner and hold responsibility of their actions.

Our office received the account from the original creditor in March 2018. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. Our records indicate that the consumer has refused to pay the balance due. The creditor notified our office of a $25.33 credit on the account in April 2018 but creditor records still show the balance as due by the consumer. Per creditor records the debt remains valid. As a courtesy to the consumer additional documentation is being sent with details as to the balance due. No further communication will occur per consumer request.

I did not or ever refused to pay anything. If there calls are recorded as they claim. The review of my conversation will verify what I stated. Which upon the first intitial call the young lady stated she received this account the day before she called me. I stated I had paid that debt upon returning my lease in as the contract was ended. She instead clearly called me a liar was yelling and stated if I do not paid "as I know I owe this money" she would report to the credit bureau immediately. I tried calling the company with my concerns and no productive response. Upon next call the same young lady debated with me about the payment. When I stated I will contact progressive she stated/ "for what you know you owe so when are you going to be responsible for your debt". I contacted progressive to find out that I actually owe the last month due on my insurance after I returned my vehicle. When I call the company back to discuss this account the young lady was beyond disrespectfully, and offensive. I NEVER REFUSED To pay". This company should not be license or conduct business until they learn how to address a client. I do not accept this response as the responded took no responsible for their action toward me, as they claim I have not taken responsibility. I will not conduct business with anyone that is disrespectful, derogatory, discriminating and threatening.

There are no records of any additional payments beyond what was noted in our prior response and the consumer has not provided any additional documentation to indicate the balance has been resolved in some way.

Also as noted no further communication will occur as per consumer request. However, the consumer is encouraged to contact our office at *** and ask to speak with a manager to assist further in a resolution as the account remains open in our office with a balance due as per the creditor.

I called the number given in the company response and to ask for a manager. I received a voice messages stating "all our representative are currently on another call please leave a message and someone will return your call" I left a message leaving my telephone number and name, asking for a manager to return my call. "no response. As the company encourage me to contact them to resolve this matter. I have attempted to contact them and no response. In addition the company has not responded to my complaint regrading their employees handling this account and the proposal they have given me, including threats, harassment and being disrespectful. With that being said . The responded in this case knew that number would lead me to another representative or a voice mail. I will continue to try and contact a manager at that number. I will note the time, date of my calls and see what kind of response if any are given. Until I reach someone any amount due on this account will be forwarded directly to the creditor Progressive Insurance. Lastly, they last call my sister answer and ask them if they was a message and a number. She was told to look at the number on the phone "read it". They should be mindful of what they say to customers.

Paid my account on 04/04. Requested a receipt. As of 04/13 no receipt when I have been told numerous times they mailed and faxed a receipt.
April 04, 2018 paid collections account. Requested receipt. Told they could not fax one but would mail it.
April 10, no receipt yet. Phone company, told they hadn't mailed it but would. I asked to email it, they said they don't email but would fax it. It would take 24-48 hours.
April 12. No fax received. Called. Left voicemail. No answer
April 13, Called. No fax yet. They hung up on me. called back, said they faxed it today, of which they did not.

Desired Outcome

A receipt of payment needed ASPA and not mailed. I want it emailed or faxed ASAP.

Our records indicate that the account was paid in full as noted by the consumer and that proof of payment was mailed to the consumer prior to receipt of this complaint and may have already been received by the consumer after the complaint was filed.We do show an attempt to fax the information per consumer's request but that the attempts were unsuccessful. The consumer is encouraged to contact our main office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager for further assistance.

After telling them I was paying account off but would do it online they sent it back to collections on my Experian report again AFTER payment.
On 3-21-18 I checked my credit report to see Caine and Weiner has re-hit my credit on my Equifax credit part AFTER I MADE A PAYOFF PAYMENT on account XXXXXXXX for $146.64 I did verify this debt with Progressive before paying! I made my payment on 3-16-18 the funds cleared my account on 3-20-18. I called on 3-16-18 get my account number and let them know I was paying it off through their online services and not through a rep since their attitudes.Not to mention receiving 7 calls a day some as late as It shows the hit was after March 16th 2018. EXPLAIN TO ME HOW I MAKE A PAYMENT AND YOU REPORT TO EQUIFAX UNPAID WHEN I HAVE PROOF! This is a shady company, who says they pride themselves in their customer service yet I have not be able to find one rep who is kind and talks to you like a human being without cutting you off mid sentence or having an attitude. With the exception of the first person you talk to when they transfer your call to a rep.

I want this taken off my credit report immediately since it is considered fraudulent since the debt was paid.

Our office received the account from the creditor in April 2017 and initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. Our office spoke with the consumer in April of 2017 at which time the consumer disputed the amount due. Our system was updated and the credit reporting agencies were notified accordingly. In August 2017 the consumer notified our office of representation by an attorney but no specific information was provided. After obtaining validation information from the creditor that information was mailed to the consumer in November of 2017 per the consumer's request. Our records indicate the balance was paid in full on 3/19/18 and that a courtesy deletion request is being sent to the credit reporting agencies. The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager with any additional questions.

This company settled a dept with me for $96 on feb 28, 2018, but insyed claimed I only partially paod ddebt,

Do not owe the dollar amount they are trying to collect
Proggressive insurance was canceled approximately February 2017. Balance owes was $15.88. This company will not send out statements of claim. Only wants payment over phone which I will not do and they also want more than owed. I will pay $15.88 only and will not give personal info over phone. Agency has been herasing me and has now hit my credit report

Desired Outcome

Mail statement something in writing showing the bill. I will pay $15.88 owed not $124. Remove it from my credit report

I now received a letter from them, which this total amount belongs to someone else. I have called them and verified this with a representative of the office sadly I sent them $80.00 to get this cleared from my name. They say I have to send them proof of payment before they will return my money. They are scammers and have no place in business in South Dakota. They harass you until you pay them and then act like nothing happened.

I had someone call MY phone named Ebony from this company. She would not say what the call was about or what kind of company she was calling from. I don't appreciate sneaky things like this. All she had to do was say I'm calling about a debt-then I would have had no issues but she would NOT disclose even that much information!! Bad business!

I do not understand why this account went into collections because they promised to remove this account out of collections. Payments have been made on time and there is NO balance on the account. I would like this to be removed from my credit report

This bogus lawfirm continues to send me collection notices for an account with Legal Zoom that do not owe.
This bogus lawfirm continues to send me collection notices for an account with Legal Zoom that do not owe. They were not particularly helpful on the phone either, asking questions that were not pertinent to the situation and the agent I spoke to refused to give me his full name. They are dishonest and I can't help but think they are not acting in accordance with the law.

Desired Outcome

I want them to realize that I do not owe them or Legal Zoom anything, that this original claim was made in error (as Legal Zoom didn't properly register my discontinuation of service) and that they cease and desist from contacting me again.

Please also note that the debt in question is not a consumer debt but is related to a commercial business registration issue.Our collection agency received the account from the creditor in October 2017. Our records indicate that a dispute has been filed verbally by the debtor and that we have returned the file to the creditor at this time for further review. Letter and numerous calls made to myself in regards to an account that was paid in full with college. Getting automated calls threatening me to pay.
Statement date 10/02/2017 in amount of 1750.96 for APT COLLEGE. Account # XXXXXXXX. Writer called company and company was very rude asking for debt. Writer called APT COLLEGE and college confirmed that writers employer paid tuition in full and balance was 0.00. Classes taken were mandatory from employer thus paid for by employer. When writer tried calling back phone number provided, writer continuously got voice messages. Writer has since been getting automated calls several times a day requesting: demanding payment or legal action will be taken against writer with last call bein 1/31/2018.

Desired Outcome

Withdraw any actions taken against writer on credit report and stop harassing writer.

After telling me I had debt owed to a previous 1099employer, Cain and Weiner refused to provide me with documentation supporting the claims repeatedly
I am a former 1099 employee of Bankers life and Casualty company. After I excused myself from the company, I received letters stating I owed "charge back" monies. I requested the documentation supporting these charges and received no replies. After a couple of months I was contacted my Caine and Weiner, (the agents name is "***") and was told that he could obtain the documents I was requesting. After around a week I received multiple copies of every client I had serviced at Bankers life with no explanation of which accounts were included on my debts. When I asked *** to provide specific documentation he informed me that they had "provided all of the information they intended to supply", and that he "looked forward to my immediate corporation". Once I informed *** that I could not make any payments without documentation supporting the charges he reduced my bill to half, and informed me that if I did not pay in four days, my matter would be "forced to be turned over to the legal department for further processing". I told *** that this would be fine if that is how he "must" proceed, and that I am prepared to defend myself for lack of documentation and corporation on their part. I have not hear from *** since then. That was seven days ago. I still have all email corespondence with ***, and one voice mail.

Adequate documentation supporting the charges against me. I requested specifically for proof of the exact policies that supposedly "charged back" including charge amounts, proof that another agent had not "re-written" the clients policy causing the amount to charge back at no fault of my own, and a copy of the policy that states how long Bankers Life is permitted to bill a former agent after leaving the company since I have been "terminated" for more than a year.

No other documentation was supplied, or offered to be supplied. The "detailed documentation" listed in their reply, again, was a list of all of the clients I serviced listed multiple times with no indication of which charges are included in my 'bill'. I will attempt to call the number listed and speak with a manager, but this issue has not been resolved by this response.

I disputed this debt because I don't owe this . I also have no contract with company requested validation which they can not provide because I have no credit with them. I requested validation a signed contract from me with this company & they could not produce the document this was removed from mu credit and was placed back on with no proof of this debt I am demanding my contracted signed with this company. I also need this deleted now the fdcpa states a creditor that has removed a debt from your credit cant put it back without 10 day notification. which I did not receive. I can also provide proof of deletion & credit report removal.

Our office received the account from the creditor in November 2016. Initial correspondence was mailed to the consumer at that time. Our records indicate we were unable to reach the consumer by phone. Additionally our records indicate notification from the client in February 2017 that the account had been paid in full and our system was updated accordingly and appropriate notifications were sent to the credit reporting agencies. However, additionally our records indicate that in March 2017 the creditor notified our office of insufficient funds related to the payment and that the balance remained due. Our system and credit reporting was updated appropriately at that time and that the balance still remains due. The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager for further resolution.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)These account was paid in full by auto pay. Their client tried to just auto start a new policy after they where already notified & canceled. I also had new insurance with a new company. You cant not have dual insurance company in the state of Missouri. I did not agree to continue service with this company. I also have no debt with them or any contract with Canie or their client . Please delete

Our office was able to locate the account however there are specific processes in place to address the individual's concerns with respect to this particular creditor.In this case the individual would need to contact the creditor directly to work through any requests to have account details changed. Our office is unable to do so. The individual is encourage to contact our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager with any questions.The individual filing this complaint

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)All collection action should cease immediately until I can contact your client to have them change name of ownership on this account. It should be placed on hold for 30 days.

This company I hold no contract with has reported a collection against my social.
This company, which I hold no contract with nor have received services from, reported a collection account against my SSN in the amount of $218.00 with Transunion, Experian, & Equifax credit reporting agencies. I requested verification of the debt and account however the business failed to provide adequate proof. Considering this business does not have a contract with me for goods or services they have provided nor have they provided adequate proof I am not obligated to pay for the alleged debt.

Desired Outcome

I demand the business remove the negative report against my SSN at any credit reporting agency, including but not limited to Transunion, Equifax, & Experian. In addition, the business agrees to have no contact in any form with me regarding this account now or in the future. Lastly they agree to remove my personal information from all accounts in the companies database.

Our office received the account from the creditor in February 2016. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. This debt relates to unpaid auto insurance premiums. Our records indicate that the creditor still shows the balance as due by the consumer and that the consumer failed to respond to any of our phone contact efforts. Our records also indicate that the consumer disputed the account with one or more of the credit reporting agencies and that our file has been updated accordingly.The consumer is encouraged to contact our office at XXX XXX-XXXX and ask to speak with a manager in order to help find an amicable resolution with the creditor.
