I am currently enjoying my newly installed laminate floor from Empire Today. The price was more than reasonable and the flooring is of high quality. Installation was timely and efficient. I also enjoyed our sales agent Jonathan. He was honest and informative and very friendly. All parties involved were quite pleasant and professional. Customer service was excellent! My family and I love the floor!!

Empire Today scheduled an installation with us in our home to carpet three bedrooms, a hallway and two stairwells. On the day of installation the technicians did a walk through and pulled the new carpet from their truck. They asked if they could use the garage to cut the carpet, but we had all our furniture stored in there. They then asked for full payment up front, having arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon we offered to pay half up front and the other half upon completion to assure a thorough and complete job. They would not agree so my husband called Empire. While he was on the phone the installers pulled away. Multiple calls later it is determined they did not want to pull up the old carpet as there was a badly stained (pet stains) area on one of the stairwell landings. Instead of bringing that to our attention so we could pull it up, they left. Multiple calls to the sales rep and the customer service line later, they refused to install and said they could according to their contract. However, if you read their contract that is not true. Having said that we offered to pull up that area and they said they would re-schedule, a week later. Now all my furniture is in the garage (beds etc) and my house is in disarray three weeks before the holidays. I was told we would hear from the presidents office, and we finally did (24 hours later) and they said they would look into it and get back to us next week. Did I mention all my furniture is in the garage and I have back surgery next week? I asked them to re-schedule for Saturday, they said they were booked. Now how is it my fault no one, to include the sales rep who did a walk through, mentioned pet stains as an issue? I will NEVER use this company and expect my $50.00 deposit returned. If not this review will become a complaint against them.

We recently needed carpet for my townhouse (we were getting ready to sell it and wanted to make it look good for buyers). I wanted something that was. Empire Today had a lot of great options for carpet that looked good and were not too expensive since we were going to be selling. I had looked into pricing at Home Depot and Lowes before I talked to Empire, so I know that Empire had a really fair price.

What I really liked about Empire was that they took care of all of the details for me. Both my husband and I work full-time (I'm a teacher and he's a police officer), so it was nice to have someone come to the house and measure at the same time we picked out the carpet. And, they scheduled our installation at the same time.

The installers showed up on-time, and they were very polite. They worked non-stop for a few hours until the job was done. After they finished (they even had to move around all of my furniture and put it back!) they walked through the rooms to make sure everything was just right. We couldn't believe how different the rooms looked

We were very pleased with the carpet and installation. You never know what you're going to get when you have contractors come to you home. We were VERY HAPPY with Empire Today! I would (and have) recommend them to family and friends. We will even use Empire when the carpet in our new home needs replacing, too!

I am disappointed in the service that empire has given us from July 21st through now (August 4th). And our product is not even installed yet.
We ordered new flooring on 7/21/2015 that was to be in installed on 7/28/2015. This was confirmed by the company 7/27/2015 through phone and email confirmation. We put everything from our basement into the spare bedroom and that room is completely inaccessible. The morning on 7/28/2015 Empire called saying they could not install as there were not enough install teams that day and we were rescheduled for Friday, 7/31/2015. On Thursday 7/30/2015 we received a call from Empire thinking it was a confirmation but instead they stated that they were out of stock of the flooring we ordered. They reschedule again for 8/5/2015. There was never a refund offered but after my husband asked for compensation Empire gave $117 after the first change and $300 (we have yet to see) after the second change. Empire called on 8/4/2015 again rescheduling (not confirming) the appointment due to being out of stock for NOW 8/12/2015. This is 3 weeks after we placed out order, two weeks and a day after the original install date. This will be ALMOST 3 weeks of having no access to the items we thought we would be without for a week. I called customer service on 8/4/2015 finally being frustrated. Not understanding how Empire could be out of sock on an item that should have been ready to be installed on 7/28 (our first appointment) and why is it out of stock now. I also had to share my frustrations with this company. She offered the solution of another flooring option to be installed sooner if that would help. We were between 2 floors anyways so I said sure. After being put on hold and she called the local office, I found out that Empire were never out of stock of our item (though Empire told my husband Empire were out of stock for the last 2 cancelations and then they said Empire had some but it was being saved for cooperate offices right now) said that the issue is the lack of installers in this area and not the product. I was frustrated and she would only say she is sorry and understands what I am feeling. She "Guaranteed" that we were a priority on the 12th (through that is exactly what we were told by customer services representatives for the 7/31 and 8/5 appointments).
I do not appreciate being lied to or being deceived. I am someone who is understanding and had they said Empire is having trouble getting installers, I would have been more compassionate, but being told it is out of stock and when cooperate tries to SOMEWHAT help by offering a solution to get it sooner, I find that it cannot even be an option because out of stock was never the issue according to the home office, it is installers in the area makes me upset and lose my trust and faith in the company. I ended up leaving the conversation because I was becoming physically upset and emotional over this.
We keep following what we needed to do - clear the room, have access from the door to the basement everything off the walls. But when do we get to have a fair and honest transaction. This is just another week of not having access to the basement living space, another week that we have to reschedule friends and family to help move and assemble furniture again, another week of not having access to times that were moved to the back of the room (graduate school text books, games to play at night, school materials for back to school) and a week later to get the rooms back in order and organized.
I feel that there is no concern for my day to day function of living. I just keep getting I am sorry. We are constantly as the mercy of Empire right now. Because we NEED the flooring in, whatever day is soonest we have made available for us. This means canceling plans, adjusting meetings, losing hourly pay hours ( I work a summer job and have had to request no extra hours to accommodate the MULTIPLE changes in schedules), and then Empire to not show and we look

We appreciate the customer contacting us regarding their concerns.
face="Calibri" size="3">The laminate flooring was installed in February 2010. Approximately six (6) years later, the customer contacted us regarding raised corners.
The pictures the customer forwarded have been sent to the manufacturer for review under warranty. We will contact the customer with the manufacturer’s findings as soon as they are available.

A very positive experience. I was very satisfied with the over all presentation and installation.

This company had me submit a $100 check to hold prices. I did but then I changed my mind. They sent me a refund check made out to me and my insurance company. My insurance company did not submit the check and would not sign it over to me because they had no knowledge of it. I have contacted a total of 8 times to get this resolved yet I still have not received a refund check made out to myself. This is beyond ridiclous. It needs to be rectified. It is sad because they have gotten a lot of business from me in the past but they keep screwing me around. It is unacceptable.

Worst customer service ever. Basically, they never follow up on promises made regarding installation. I am prepared to file a formal complaint with the [redacted].

Yesterday I had a big job installation- living room, dining room, family room, hall and 2 closets needing carpet. I was told by the sales rep they would arrive by 8am. I received a call they would be there between 11-1 and with multiple times calling in to see where they were they did not arrive until after 3 pm. 2 men showed up. They did not speak ANY English and was unable to communicate with them. I had told them multiple times not to leave the door open due to flys and bees coming in... did not understand what I was saying. I had to take off work and set up a babysitter for my son outside of the home. Having them come after 3 pm was very inconvenient for both myself and my son. The installers were there until 9pm. My son needed to get to sleep by 7:30 but was unable to because of the noise. Again, could have been avoided if they were there at the scheduled time. At the end of the installation they gave me a paper to sign... This had a list of questions I was suppose to fill out but he kept saying no... and I kept saying yes I am competing this survey with my dissatisfaction. I did not receive any paperwork, no warranty... even though the paper work said I should have received and should have been explained everything. Nothing was explained to me because they did not speak English. I spoke with Empire manager today about my experience and what he told me blown me away. He stated that I should have called into customer service to have someone translate for the installers. WHAT!!!! WE are in America! The people I hire should be able to fully speak English to explain things to me. The sales person quoted me 3500- which was a waste. Terrible experience.

The entire experience with Empire was fast, friendly, professional and went without a hitch. Our sales representative, Jon, arrived on time and he listened and complied with our needs and requests. He worked with us to be sure we were getting the best price for carpeting the entire upstairs and the stairway going up there. The carpet selections were way better than I expected. The installation team worked quickly and efficiently, respectful of the new paint and improvements we just had completed. Very little touch up work had to be done after them.

Got flooring with 50% off sale for all aspects of lanimant flooring (flooring, supplies, labor). When I asked sales rep for breakdown because it wasn't included in the contract he tells me, "when you go to the diner and order a cheeseburger you don't ask how much each thing costs, you just get the burger". He refused to give me a breakdown with the discounts. Then there was an issue with the laminent in which it developed a blemish in a non trafficked area of the floor and they refused to honor the warranty. Even without seeing the defective material they said it was not included in the warranty. The salesmen was not very clear on the specifics of their 12 month interest free financing either. As the 12 months passed and I was $200 away from paying off the flooring credit I was charged the full 12 month "deferred" interest. All aspects of their "programs" are deceitful and BUYER BEWARE!!
This company has been a problem from the beginning and I will never use them or recommend them to anyone I know.

We were able to get about 1,000sq ft of carpet installed in our home for less than half of what it would've cost at [redacted]. I found it very easy to schedule the sales appointment online and when the rep came to our home we were able to pick out the carpet we wanted very quickly. I am very happy with my new carpet; I especially love their 12 month no internet finance plan since most other places only offer 6 months. The only complaint I have is with the actual installation. The installers worked very slow, didn't really help move the smaller furniture items (we paid extra for that service), and they did break a wreath I had made and instead of telling us, they tried to hide it in the closet of my office. It was not a valuable item, it was more the principle that they didn't bring it to our attention. I know that Empire deals with many contractors, so some are better than others. Even though I am not happy with one of the thresholds leading into my office, all in all, the job was mostly done well.

I selected Empire based on their reputation for doing the job quickly and professionally. My expectations were met! Great job!

I recently had my entire home carpeted using Empire Today. The entire process was positive and their price beat The Home Depot by several thousand dollars. Would recommend them for carpeting needs.

It started off ok. We ended up going with empire because they were able to negotiate with us in price. However, then came the installation. The 3 person crew showed up and was a little hard to understand as 1 only spoke ok english. They moved the furniture, tore up the carpet amnd put new in in about an hour. I was impressed with the speed. However, an hr after they left, as I was moving things back into the room, I stepped onto the carpet where you enter the room. I could feel the tacks coming through the carpet. I called the number they provided if there were any issues. The paper said they were still open for another hour and a half. I had to leave a message. That was on saturday. Monday morning I still did not receive a call back. I called the number again and reached someone. I told them the issue and they said that they would send someone out the very next day, it wouls be there first stop in the morning from twinsburg ohio. The very next day is today. It was 12pm, no one had shown up and no call. I called the number again for an hour and it just kept going to voice mail. Ended up calling the main number who was able to find out there was no appt scheduled. As they are talking to me to tell me that, the number for twinsburg ohio is calling me. I then take that call and it is the same woman , Andrea, who said she screwed up and it was not scheduled. I told her someone at home has been waiting there all morning and is stil there waiting and now its 1pm. I told her I would never use them again and it did not take them long to cash my check. Gave them a check on saturday for the balance and it already cleared my bank on monday. She then wanted to schedule for tomorrow but I am unable to do it because no one would be there. So now had to schedule dor thursday. So , since saturday, we have had to try to remember to not step near the edges or it really really hurts! So we will have had to deal with this for 5 days. Not sure how installers cannot check this!! Will never use again!!

They are not what they tell everyone on TV advertisement, 50% off is not what they tell the customer, they're very price and the contractors they sent to the customer are not what Empire promise they are.
A job that was suppose to be finished in two weeks took a month, very bad contractors and very sloppy, did a lot of damage to my house and my property inside and outside.
These Company does not deserve the Revdex.com representing them.

We should have done my research on Empire Today and looked at the reviews on the Revdex.com but I expected quality from a nationwide company……. Boy were we wrong!
We ordered $4000 worth of flooring from Empire and got two scheduled appointments because we were having vinyl flooring and carpet being put down.
We had a call the day before the appointment confirming they would be coming out. The morning of the appointment they called me and gave me a block of time from 1 pm – 3 pm and said the installer would contact me 30 min before installation. 3 pm rolled around and I got a call from the office letting me know that the installer was behind schedule and would be to my home between 4 pm – 6 pm. I had no issues with this as I understand things happen.
5:45 pm I get a call from the installer letting me know that he would be out in 1 hour. He arrived and we walked the area that he would be installing vinyl and his broken English was very pronounced but I understood when he complained that “This is going to be a lot of work”
It was very obvious that he did not want to do the job and started making excuses of why the job was going to cost me more than we agreed on with the sales person.
His first attempt was telling me that the old vinyl would all need to be pulled up, I explained that was included in the sales contract. Next he told me there was glue under the old vinyl and if he pulled it up it would damage the floor. Then he explained that there were staples that could have rusted and he could not explain what that meant to the job but felt important to point it out, again this was decided without him even inspecting the floor, possibly he is psychic?
I asked him to leave my home and inspected the flooring myself. There is no glue holding down any of my vinyl and the staples must have disappeared as they are nonexistent too.

I called the Empire number 800-588-2300 and talked to a supervisor who apologized for the inconvenience and assured me this is not normal and a bad representation of their business. He talked me into giving them another chance. He credited me $200 and we rescheduled another crew to come out the next week.
I asked the supervisor to check my order for the carpet which was scheduled the next day. I told him that I wanted to have no confusion on the scope of work and would not accept any issues again for the carpet install. The supervisor put me on hold and he verified my “Template” and assured me that there was no issues with my installers coming on the next day and “Everything will be perfect” because he is putting in the notes the issues I had with the psychic vinyl installer.
My wife and I got up very early to pull sections of the carpet up so we could seal the floor before the installers got to our home and disassembled our house so everything was ready. WELL lo and behold we get a call at 8 am explaining that they could not come out today and would need to reschedule our carpet installation after my rescheduled vinyl appointment next week.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was put on the phone with Mindy the dispatch supervisor and she explained that the carpet installer Chancho, who was the psychic vinyl installer, was scheduled to install my carpet today but he could not come to my home because of the issues I had at my home the previous day.
I explained my issue with having a disassembled house to which I got a very condescending “I am sorry, I don’t have anyone who can come out, and there is nothing I can do”
This is the final straw and I need someone to contact me immediately to refund me my deposit.

Installer arrived with half of the materials needed to complete the job. Didn't even remove the existing floor and that was included in my price. Not even 2 hours after the installer left the floor began to bubble up and is not sealed properly. The glue did not seal to my old floor. It's across the entire room bubbles of air in the flooring. The cove work look like something that I could have done myself and it also isn't sticking to the old existing flooring. I contacted them immediate the next day which was Saturday. Two reports were filed and I was told that my old floor was supposed to be removed that "we always remove the old flooring first." I called again at lunch on Monday requesting to speak to a manager or supervisor. Still no call on Monday. I should not have to wait 3 days for a return phone call when I did not receive what I paid for. I want my contract voided and they can come and take their floor back.

Empire Carpet rep refused to show product unless I committed to down payment along with installation of flooring within two days. He said I "should not have" called them if wanted to exercise my right to shop around

install very bad carpet, wrinkle every six to seven months, keep come back to fix it but did not fix the problem, the last time want to charge $500 for stretch.
