Review: In 2014, I was issued an unsecured credit card with Capital One. I have a secured credit card that was issued a year or more prior. Between 2014 and the present, I went through financial straits because I have a head injury and am having trouble finding work. In June 2015, I set up automatic payments for my account. I was told over the phone that payments would be split. I've made every automatic payment, and a couple times, when able, I made supplemental payments. In 2014, I received a letter saying that my credit card was six months past due and hat they were going to refer me to an attorney for litigation. I immediately got online and spoke to a chat agent acknowledging receipt and explaining the situation. She explained that, if I thought the payment was supposed to cover both cards, I had to file a dispute. I wrote and mailed a dispute, explaining the situation--that I have no problem with paying but that I thought my autopay meets covered both and I need a payment plan. Last week, I received notice that they charged off the card. I'm now receiving a call from a guy who is somewhat threatening and refuses to address

The issue that I've been making payments since 2016. This is an issue with communication, not with a failure or refusal to pay.My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I want the card closed, the charge off removed, and a payment plan to get the debt paid in full.

Review: I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE TO JAPAN FOR A NEW JOB. I CURRENTLY HAVE AN AUTO LOAN SET AT 14560 IF I PAYOFF TODAY. THE CAR DEALER WHO WILL BUY MY CAR OFFERED ME 13500.00 I HAVE HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT CAPITAL ONE WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR DEMEANOR BUT I FIGURED I WOULD TRY ANYWAYS. I SPOKE TO THREE PEOPLE YESTERDAY AND EVERYONE IN THAT FACILITY NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVCIE TRAINING. THEY WERE NOT ONLY RUDE BUT THEY WOULDN'T HELP ME AND DID NOT CARE THAT I AM IN A BIND. I GET THAT THEY LOSE OUT ON $1000.00 BUT THE COMPANY IS GOING TO ISSUE THE CHECK DIRECTLY TO THEM FOR 13500.00. I AM ASKING THEM TO WORK WITH ME AND ONE OF THE MEN SIMPLY STATED CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW JOB BUT WE WANT THAT 1000.00. WHO SAYS THAT TO A CUSTOMER? WHO TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. I WISH I HAD NOT GOTTEN A LOAN WITH THEM AND I ASSURE YOU THAT ONCE MY CAR IS PAID OFF I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEED FILTERS WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT TO SAY.My complaint concerns: an Auto LoanDesired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO SETTLE MY ACCOUNT FOR 13500.00 AND HAVE THE TITLE RELEASED TO [redacted] ONCE THE CHECK IS SUBMITTED TO THEM WITHOUT ANY HESITATION OR PROBLEMS.

Even in the case of me having to leave the country for a new opportunity and having to make sure my loan has been taken care of, Capital One still refuses to help the situation. It's funny actually, because I have my bank accounts and my credit card through this company. Once my account is paid off, I will NEVER do business with a company that is all about the money and not working with their customers. They really can't write of $700. Is that really going to hurt the company? They need not to ever contact me again. Thank you Revdex.com for your help even though I did not get the response from the company I wanted.

Review: This company is using a statement due date to falsely report derrogatory payment information to credit bureaus. In more than one instance this has happened to my credit file with no resolution dispite disputes with the company directly and the credit bureaus. They have even reported late payments while in their "catch-up" program in 2012. One example is making a payment OCT 5 2013 leaving 0 past due balance but they are reporting 60days last for Sept 2013. With a regular due date of the 20th day each month, there no way this is possible.Desired Settlement: Inaccurate late payments removed from my credit file for years 2012 and 2013.

First of all, your company strategically disregarded my complaint sited for 2013; which makes me question Capital One's intent. Secondly, I don't believe your facts to be in order. That is certainly not how I remember it being explained telephonically. Based on your attached response the "extensions will move 2 payment of $431.09 each to the end of the loan term." If you moved October and November to the back of the loan on November 1st, how could I be more than 30 or more days late for October and November? If I was late then when where they paid? Isn't that charging me twice since 2 payments were moved to back of the loan and you claim to have scheduled check by phone payments for August and September?

Payments in the amount of $540.00 on 1 August 2012 and $450.00 on September 20th 2012 both posted to my personal check account. Again, if your response is accurate, where was the September 20th payment applied.

In the "What you need to know" section of the Extension you attached it clearly states that it "is a service we offer to help you keep your account current. It's one way to catch up on payments and avoid a possible late fee or negative impact on your credit." Clearly this is not what Capital One intended to uphold. With the time and effort it has taken in attempts to resolve this matter, I'm afraid I may need to escalate these issues to federal authority.

Sometimes 2-3 times a month. Review: I had an account with Household Bank. The credit card account was paid in full. Capital one took over Household Bank and know they are charging me 39.00 dollars for membership fee. They claim they sent me a notice about the fee, but that is not true. I looked at my statement today and a card that was zero balance now has a 39.00 fee, plus they have audacity to charge me 25.00 late fee. I called and they were no help. They claim they sent me a bill for the 39.00. I did not choose to go to Capital One why should I have to pay for an account that was paid in full.Desired Settlement: I will like my account to reflect ZERO balance the way it was before.

Review: ok, I have 3 cards with capital 1 member since 2014 not long but long enough. I have been in and out of the hospital since 6/15, I have always kept up with my payments on time large payments until about 9/15 when I had to take a medical leave from work screwed all my bills up my credit etc. Well in June I had a really bad accident that caused me to leave my home in PGH and had to move to Texas with my Aunt, because I needed a lot of help. I went back into the hospital in 9/15 due to comlications at that time I paid my 3 cards ending in 2983, 0508,0093, when I got out the hospital in 10/15 I had mail piled up, there was so many purchases on all my cards there was payments made that didn't belong to me, I contacted capital one explained none of the accounts were mine chase, and other banks purchases only bank was mine was [redacted], and I never made any payments that large ever so why would they let all those go through and then let whoever purchase all them things after each payment. I then had to contact paypal to take all my card info off there. I made payment arrangements with capital one and they never even took the purchases off the accounts was so past over the limit, and I have never went over since I had those cards. I still tried to pay something hoping they would fix the problem. I ended up going back into the hospital for emergency surgery, which put me back to square one with card payments and broken promises. I didn't get out until 4/15. My aunt piled my mail up in my room I received new cards from cap one didn't know why just assumed it was because of the purchases and bank payments, so I had to get everything situated bills etc at 1 point I made a payment of $366 charges was still on that card. I was now ready to at least keep these accounts together so on 5/9 I spoke to a fraud manger about these fraud lifts which I didn't understand these new cards I had no clue about, because as you can see I never even activated those cards. I spent almost con

My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I have to finish the rest of the complaint on the next page so its understandable, of why I have a complaint. My outcome that I desire is to at least investigate and get my limits where its supposed to be I have talk and chatted with many people and I have did everything they asked stayed on the for hours to get to the bottom of this and I'm speaking to people who are in the 3rd world that does not understand me and had me on hold which they didn't push hold so I could hear the whole conversation that took place on every so called hold she did, so I put the call on speaker phone to record while my Aunt was in the room this call took place on 5/18/16 the call was because the manager on 5/9 didn't take the restriction off all my accounts like he said he did he only did one and was supposed to do all 3 he only did 1 but if you get that recorded line you would hear the conversation we had. I then hung up with him and made arrangements for card number 2917 through chat and to try and dis

Review: I have called the Capital One 360 Customer Service number 4 times over the past two days and spent over an hour and a half on the phone attempting to close a business savings account. I am the owner/sole proprieter and the only person with signatory authority for this account, yet they are refusing to release the funds to me unless I have a linked business account (of which there are currently none as I am in the process of closing the business) or provided documentation of dissolution of the business. I will not be legally dissolving the business until after my 2013 tax return is prepared. Review: Capital one did not notify me or inform me that a debt had been forgiven. They never once notified through official letter head nor did they notify me through the five years of the age of the debt since shortly after default. And now they want me to pay taxes on this debt which is completely absurd. The only sent me the tax document and there was no reason as to why they forgave the debt. The dollar amount wasn’t even accurate as the debt was a different amount per my credit report. And further more they kept the account information open so that when I opened other accounts with them it interfered with my log in credentials as they kept the old credentials. Not only that I have filed my taxes already and may get in trouble with the IRS simply because capital one wants to cause me more hardship. I spoke with them this morning and spoke to a lady she advised me to get a tax account I explained to her that they cost money and why I should have to pay for one on top of already having to deal with the Irs. I also explained to her that this supposed income I have to report was accessible to me in 2011 which was the original time of default not in 2015 so why should I have to report 2011 income if you can really say it was income on a 2015 tax return. She then proceeded to put me on hold in which I hung up. I do not need to deal with this it’s their problem not mine and the fact that there was never any communication within the 5 year frame of time to the verify the debt, or to inform me if the debt was sold off or not is their problem. I had assumed that they sold it off to a collection agency as this debt was so old but never once received any communication during that time. Capital one has now caused me a major headache and they need to fix this now!!!!My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: Capital one needs to handle this matter I am not paying one cent on this and am not going to have to miss work or take any additional time to resolve this matter

First off I have had to sit here for three weeks Because capital one never did send any documents until I mention it in the complaint they law firm never once try to contact me via mail nor did I have any idea why the debt was discharged. AND CAPITAL ONE HAS TO UNDERSTAND THAT NOW THAT IT TOOK THEM MORE THAN 3 WEEKS TO PROCESS THIS COMPLAINT AND IN THAT TIME ANY TAXES THAT NEED TO BE PAID HAD TO BE PAID ON THE 18TH BECAUSE CAPITAL ONE TOOK SO LONG I AM NOW I AM LATE AND WILL BE CHARGED ADDITION PENALTIES AON UN PAID TAXES. DOES CAPITAL ONE UNDER STAND THAT MY MOTHER DIED DOES CAPITAL ONE UNDER STAND THAT I HAD CONSIDERED TAKING MY LIFE TWO YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS DEALING WITH ALL OF THIS IN 2014 I WAS ADMITTED TO A PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL UPC IN 2014 WHEN SEVERAL POLICE OFFICERS CAME OVER TO DO A WELLNESS CHECK. I HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO GET ON WITH MY LIFE BUT FOR FIVE YEARS I HAD TO HAVE THIS HANGING OVER MY HEAD AND NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ITS ABSURD. AND ALL THAT LADY OVER THE PHONE SAID IS I NEED TO CONTACT A TAX ACCOUNT. WHAT NERVE DOES SHE HAVE WHEN I NOW HAVE TO TAKE MORE TIME MORE ENERGY TO DEAL WITH THIS AFTER EVERY TYHING I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SHAME ON CAPIT ONE SHAME ON THEM YOU HELD THIS UP YOU TOOK MY TIME THAT I COULD HAVE HAD TO RESOLVE THIS NOW NO MORE HARD SHIP I CABNT TAKE WHAT CAPITAL ONE HAS DONE AND THEY NEED TO RESOLVE THIS MATER IF I HAVE TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFF IF I HAVE TO SUE THAN THAT IS WHAT I WILL DO BECAUSE I SIMPLY CANNOT GO THROUGH ANYMORE HARDF SHIP BECAUSE OF CAPITAL ONE.

Review: On 10/25/13 I contacted capital one to pay my bill early. The bill was due on 11/01/13. I have auto direct for my payments. I requested that the auto direct pay for 11/1/13 be canceled due to fact that I was paying early on 10/25/13. The auto direct for 11/1/13 wasn't canceled and capital tried to hit my account on 11/01/13 for $398. Since had ad no money in my account there was an overdraft charge that was placed on my account. I contacted capital and notified them that they are trying to take more money and capital one stated that the auto daft wasn't canceled, which I requested that payment for 11/1/13 be canceled. Capital one customer support stated that they couldn't stop the draft and that when the money comes out for 398 that I should fax them the withdraws. On 11/8/13 I faxed capital one the overdraft and the payment they took on 11/7/13 in the total of 427.44 I requested that the money be returned immediately. I contacted capital one to notify them that the fax was sent and customer support stated that it will take two -three business days. Well I only received the ** dollars and nothing else. I waited an extra three days to see if the rest of the money was going to hit and it didn't. I contacted capital on 11/15/13 to see why I didn't receive the 398.44. Customer support then notified me that I had to fill out a form in order to get my money back. I questioned that because I received the ** dollars with no form signing and now telling me I have to fill out a form which was never brought to my attention on any of the calls. The support person I was working with states that they assumed I only wanted the ** dollars. when my fax states that I wanted all of my money retuned so I do not see how they could have assumed now I have to feel out this form to get MY money back, this is hassle with this assumption that I didn't want my money is ridicules because the proof is there. If I didn't call them back for an update I wouldn't never received my money back because they assumedDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund I would like my money returned as agreed immediately. I've opt out of auto direct due to this issue.

Review: I have been disputing a charge with Capital One for 7 months now. The charge is from a website development company called [redacted]. [redacted] was sold a website by [redacted] that does not function. The following facts about [redacted] shows they are a disreputable company. Capital One is choosing to ignore these facts and continue to support [redacted] in their charging for an inferior product:on

all documentation from [redacted] to Capital One, there are no

names or signatures from anyone in the company. The documentation was printed

all on blank pieces of paper with no business letterhead. They charged $700 per webpage they developed for Mom. This is extremely high. There are 5 pages for [redacted]. There is a transitions to [redacted]

which is a prepackaged website for distributors. Moms website is

selling Longevity products, here is the statement from longevity: The paperwork stated that my mom bought the website “[redacted]”. This website is a storefront for [redacted] products. I called [redacted] ([redacted], Customer Support [redacted]

account [redacted]) and they said that did not have and had never had

any affiliation with [redacted]. I asked what they charged for

a “distributor” website and they said $25.00. I asked about my mom’s

status, they said that she was a distributor and there had been no

activity, no purchases, and no logins to her account. There has been no

e-commerce on [redacted].

[redacted] stated that they do not work or partner with Innovative

Designs - for distributor websites they provide their own web

development service. In

our efforts to find [redacted], the only piece of information

regarding [redacted] identity was their address ([redacted]) on one of the papers delivered to us

by Capital One. The address was that of a “suite” in [redacted]. There

was no business attached to the address in a [redacted] search. There was

no phone number attached to the address in a [redacted] search. I finally

called the building manager ([redacted]) and she explained that they were actually a mail forwarding service and not an office. She gave me the contact [redacted])

that was paying for the service. I called that contact and got no

answer or voicemail. The building manager then pointed me to the

website and I called the 866 number on the website. The person

answered the phone with “hello” (“[redacted] was not mentioned), I

asked if this was [redacted] and she said “yes.” I began a

discussion with her that later led to speaking with the person dealing

with the charge back. All of these events and the lack of letterhead or

I had my credit card used back in December 11th for an airline ticket that I did not purchase so I started a dispute.

finally around feb 22nd of February I got a letter from capital one saying that I had until march 1st to respond to the dispute. I called and said that I would not have the time to respond property in time and that I needed an extension.

capital one sent me an email so I could upload documents on march 5th. that link would be valid for 14 days, so march 19th I was finally able to upload the documents after a lot of other issues. today, mach 21st I got a call back from capital one saying that I responded to late and that they were not moving forward with my response. My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I would like capital to move forward with my response.

Anna called me this past week, but only to tell me that there was nothing they could do. She pretty much read from a script and used a fake timeline and facts and reiterated their previous decision of not helping me out.

Review: Several weeks ago I received five pre-screened / pre-approved credit card offers from Capital One. I called their contact number and asked that all mailings be stopped. The person I spoke with was heavily accented. She kept asking for my emailing address. She repeatedly asked me to spell my name and give my address and spell that. I became incredibly frustrated. I was rude. I asked her if she was stupid. The mailings have not stopped. I have sent them back "Return to Sender." The mailings have not stopped. I've sent emails, I sent emails to their abuse line, I promised I'd contact the Revdex.com and still the mailings have not stopped. I called the "opt out" number and they wanted my social security and birth date. What does that have to do with getting my name off a mailing list? I even contacted the Revdex.com on line and [redacted] informed me that filing complaints was my responsibility. I know that. Her messages felt accusatory and demonstrated a lack of desire to help me. I thought that was what the Revdex.com was for. Review: Review: Capital One Bank (USA) N.A. on and off for many years keep bugging me about an account I have never had with them.

The first time this happened, I talked to them asking to produce documentation about the supposed debt I incurred with them - they failed to produce anything and continued harassing me.

They place a bad report on my credit to the Credit Bureaus. I placed a letter with the Credit Bureaus explaining that this is false. My note it still in place.

On January 25, 2016 I received a 1099-C from them, claiming debt discharging for an amount they failed to demonstrate I incurred.

This is also an attempt to defraud the Government (IRS) by claiming losses and not paying taxes (I wonder how many others consumers they are trying to defraud?)

Please ask this company to clean their business practices on intent to defraud us consumers.

I have also placed a complaint with my local district attorney.

Thank you for your attention.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First, their letter stated that the account was open on Nov 3, 20111 using my name, social security number and a address and phone number that I never had (have my current address since 1982)Second, their letter acknowledge my fraud claim filed to the consumer reporting agencies on Feb 2, 2011 (nine months before the opening of the account they claimed I open with them ???)

Review: When I opened my checking account in May 2014, I ordered two checkbooks. They were the same numbering sequence, so one was deactivated and I've been writing checks out of the other checkbook for the last year with no problem. My non-deactivated checkbook from Capital One 360 ([redacted]) was cancelled randomly in June 2015, a year later, with no notification to me whatsoever. They are remedying by giving me a checkbook with a different sequence. That is fine, but I had written a check from the checkbook deactivated in June 2015 and incurred a "bounced check fee" by my landlord. This is not my fault and asked Capital One 360 to reimburse me for the $12 fee. They refused, even though the situation is their fault. They have screwed up twice, and now they want me to be responsible for a fee that resulted from their mistake.Desired Settlement: $12 reimbursement and an apology.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's offer. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

Regards,

The fraud protection on my credit card is a joke! Someone was able to change all the information on my account, without having to verify they were me, schedule a payment, said payment cost me over 200 dollars in overdraft fees that was not my fault, was completely capitol one's fault! They refuse to pay the fees that their negligence in keeping my account safe from fraud cost me!
