If the balance of my card went over $200 that was Capital One fault. Not mine. I used the capital one secured carded according to capital one's offer of the amount DEPOSITED on the card will be EQUAL to Amount CREDITED. Also no where in the initial application did it say that the balance must be under the amount deposited ??? It stated after 1 year my deposit would be fully refunded. For example if my balance was $100 would you have refunded $200 ? with a $100 Balance ? If you would give $100 how would I ever get my $200 Deposit back ? The original offer did not state this.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] from [redacted]; Marlow Heights, Md. in Oct. 2014 for Approx.$24,500.00. The car was financed by Capital One Auto Finance. The interest rate is 20plus%. My monthly car payment is $569.52. I now realize that $405.21 is per month is Interest, and $162.31 goes to the Principal. This interest rate is astronomical. Ideally the interest rate is lowered so that my monthly car note is lowered.I really didn't realized I was being preyed upon under such predatory practices, and candidly, I didn't read all the fine print. I went with low down payment after I totaled my [redacted] purchased brand new from the same dealership, September 2006.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Refinance with a lower interest rate to where S300 goes toward the principal and the interest is a maximum payment of $100.00 per month. Totaling $400.00 per month. Help a struggling poor man out!

Regards,

Unfortunately there was no "offer' rendered. Capital One refuses to accomodate me by helping me out with my financial crisis by lowering the astronomical interest rate. If I could really afford A $570 monthly note I wouldve purchased a high end luxury vehicle. Having said that, I am leting go and allowing God to step in. There is a demise for such greed. Capital One will succumb just like many other unjust and greedy financial institutions throughout American and global history. Thanks to Revdex.com for your efforts. Im a itty bitty poor man who doesn't stand a chance against such monstrous predators and/ or opportunists.

Review: Capital One is continually turning off or restricting my credit card for no apparent reason. I travel a LOT and although I have asked them numerous times not to turn off my credit card while I'm across the country they still do it. In fact, they even turn it off when I'm just in a different city in my home state! The reason I'm taking the time to file this complaint is that the latest service disruption has been going on for two weeks. Understand, I pay this card in full every month and other other cards that are attached to it. There is not, nor has there ever been, a payment issue. Capital One's latest claim is that the turned off my card because someone I purchased from reported that they had been compromised. And, since February 8th I have not been able to use my card. They did NOT send me a new one and refused to allow me to keep the card turned on. The male employee who called me was flat out belligerent to me and if he worked for me I would fire him on the spot if I heard him talk to a customer the way he spoke to me. Capital One has REFUSED to tell me who the so-called company is that I've done business with who had a breech. Their action has caused me considerable distress and financial hardship as my company relies on the convenience of CCs for travel and expenses. My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: First, I deserve an apology. Second, I deserve to know what company I purchased from who had their information compromised (because I don't believe them). Third, I'm tired of constantly having my CC cut off, restricted, or otherwise un-useable and I want it to STOP! Last, I want to be compensated for about 1 month of the money they make off of my account. I calculate that based on an average of 1.9% for transaction fees it would be nearly $500. I don't need the money, but I need for Capital One to have a penalty for their negligence, incompetence, and for they way their employee treated me on the phone.

Capital One has turned my account off too many times now. It is not reasonable to restrict service to me when they admit that they don't even know if the information had indeed been compromised or by whom. My biggest issues is that they are lying. When I was originally contacted I was told that my information had been compromised by a 3rd party company that I had done business with. We are getting a different story in their response. So, when was Capital One lying to me? Was it the original conversation or in this offer?

Review: My card went on a restriction term due to not being able to pay a while back. I then paid 630 dollars thinking that I would be able to use that. They then told me there was nothing they could do to lift the restriction. I believe there is more they could have done and just didn't do it.My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I want the money I paid released for me to use on the credit card.

Review: I applied for a Capital One Quicksilver credit card. I was told that I would need to fax a copy of my driver's license and social security card because I have a fraud alert freeze on my credit report. I faxed all the information in to Capital One. I then applied for a second Capital One credit card which was the secured card in case I didn't get approved for the first one. I called in the next day and I was told that my application was approved and to allow 48 hours for the account to be created by the computer system. I was told by an application specialist that if I wanted to I could contact customer service and they would be able to tell me if the account had been created yet. Instead they transfer me to an application specialist. They tell me that because it has been over 48 hours that I would need to speak to a supervisor where they can push it through the computer system. So I spoke to a supervisor and I asked them if because I had 2 credit card applications on file if it could be delaying everything. They said yes. So I had them withdrawl the secured credit card application. I was told that I would get my quicksilver card in 7-10 days. Now I am being told that the supervisor withdrawled both application without my permission. I called back in to see if it was withdrawl and I was told that both of them was. So I was told by a supervisor that they would unwithdral the application. So I called back because of all the run around I have been getting to see if it could be unwithdrawn. I was then told that I would have to apply all over again. I should not have to after I was told I was approved. I should not have to pay for someone else's mistake. I did nothing wrong. I will be going public with this unless I get my card that I was told I was approved for!Complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I want the quicksilver credit card that I applied for without having to do a credit card application all over again and have my credit report checked all over again! I think the credit card should have to be put into a rush status and a rush be put on creating my account along with my credit card being mailed to me overnight!

Review: The complaint is in regards to an auto loan (account no. [redacted]). The vehicle was in an accident (May 2013) and deemed a total loss by Capitol One (July 2013). At which point, I began communicating with [redacted] ([redacted]). I arranged a settlement agreement and was advised payments for the balance would be taken out of my check automatically and the car would be picked up from in front of my home within the next week. The car was not insured, I requested a copy of my loan documents and was advised they would be sent out to me. They were never mailed. I requested this of the company at my mothers urging due to my borrowing the initial settlement down payment from her. She was concerned the vehicle should have had gap insurance on the loan as the requirement of the state. CapitalOne has yet to retrieve the vehicle and it sits in front of my home. I have communicated with CapitalOne to no avail in regards to the vehicles retrieval. They will not provide a title so I can have it removed. And there representatives have conveyed it is their car. I have recently been advised my credit report is reflecting my account is a voluntary repossession. Yet, I have located the letter I received from Capital One indicating the vehicle was a total loss. The total loss is why the account was negotiated for settlement. The company has now, not followed through with their verbal conveyance of picking up the vehicle. The company did not send my loan documentation for the vehicle as requested. And the company is not inaccurately reflecting the vehicle has been voluntarily repossessed on my credit report. I would appreciate your assistance in having the inferior service which I am currently receiving addressed. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I am still requesting a copy of my loan documentation in its entirety. I would like the vehicle removed from in front of my home as promised. The voluntary repossession is not applicable to my situation. The companies representative, [redacted]', conveyance of the car being removed was a key component of the settlement agreement. I would like a letter of apology from the company, due to the fact, I should not have had to go this extent to be treated fairly. In their letter, I am requesting the company again acknowledge my car is a total loss, and a settlement agreement was posed and I accepted and the agreement will be reflected on my credit report as agreed settlement and not a voluntary repossession.

Review: Capital One credit cards did not pursue a dispute I filed against a charge from a [redacted]. I submitted requested letters and supporting documentation twice and was told that "I have a solid case against [redacted]" regarding a credit for 2 round trip tickets from/to La Guardia to Colorado Springs I purchased for mid July 2013 from [redacted] on my Capital One [redacted]. On the way home, our flight was canceled due to failed front landing gear, which [redacted] still claims was a weather advisory, in La Guardia. [redacted] did not adhere to their Customer Carriage Contract by not giving us an option to return to "our point of origin within 7 business days". They offered to fly us to Philadelphia or. Boston, but explicitly said that they will not return us to La Guardia. We even offered to take a connecting bus or train. A [redacted] employee even made the reservation for a rental car to drive ourselves from [redacted] to La Guardia and gave us a [redacted] dispute number to call. Capital One claims that a phone call that resulted in a busy signal at my residence counted as contact with me regarding a November 8th deadline to resubmit documentation that [redacted] is requesting in regards to my disputed charges of almost $600. It cost us $600 in rental car fees, gas and tolls to drive ourselves back. I contend that it is not my responsibility to resubmit documentation [redacted] to prove my case against [redacted]' charges to my Capital One card. It is my belief that Capital One is trying to wear me down so that I simply pay the approximately $600 round trip plane tickets even though they were not fulfilled. I have tried numerous times to reason with Capital One, but they just continue to ask me to resubmit documentation already submitted. Their plan must be to wear me down and have me pay $1200 for a $600 trip.Desired Settlement: Since [redacted] did give me a partial credit for the portion of flight that was canceled, but still against their own Customer Carriage Agreement, I would like to be credited from Capital One the balance of $500. They advertise to be "No Hassels" but that is not true at all. They are counting a phone call to my home on Oct 18 that resulted in a busy signal as Customer Contact.

After reading negative reviews about capital one and its SOOO MANYY SCAMS AND REPORTS I decided to NOT EVEN ACTIVATE the cards and to CANCEL THEM. I called and the rep told me that I had to send in my PERSONAl info to some office to close THIS IS NOT PROPER PROCEDURE I can cancel a card at ANY TIME and the remaining balance (if there is one, in this case not even activated) will be charged to me to be paid in full before closing. Regards,

Review: Regarding: Account No.[redacted] Capital One Financial Corporation [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing a letter about my experience with Capital One that is a mixture of a grateful "thank-you"

and a pressing request concerning a $300.00 Credit Card trade line in my credit files that I would like to

have revised.

I received the Capital One card in 2010, several years before I became unemployed, which later led to

my wife being injured in a serious car accident, losing a leg and 2 fingers. She later married someone

else, taking my 4 children from me. I have since been unemployed/downsized since 2011, evicted, and

am living in a homeless shelter and receiving government assistance. These last 3 years have been the

lowest point of my life. I've never relied on food stamps to make ends meet. When I experienced this

terrible hardship, I became disorganized with respect to, as you saw, making timely payments with your

company. I fully recognize my responsibility with respect to payable accounts and have worked diligently

to rehabilitate my credit worthiness since that time.

To be honest, that year was a wake-up call for me regarding fiscal organization. As a former [redacted] of a [redacted] company, I know what it means to pay on time. Since then I believe I have learned

the essential organizational and financial management principles I desperately needed at that point.

Thankfully, responsible credit management is now reflected in my credit records which-- excluding the

Capital One Bank card late entry-- are excellent. I wish to soon return to prominent status with your

organization and I am determined to keep a spotless record once my life is back on track.

I am now on the road to recovery and have since interviewed for many jobs, and it has come to my

attention that the derogatory notations from your trade line has prevented me from taking full

advantage of the very right that any American citizen finds success and confidence in having- a job.

In fact, I was even approved for a new card secured card with your company. It is a low limit card with a

line of: $200.00. I plan on keeping up to date with this card and making all payments on time. I will not

allow myself to fall into the pit that happened years before.

Since the negative notations do not reflect my current life changing situations, I am requesting that you

give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by revising the negative trade lines. Your customer

service representative suggested that I write you for a "goodwill adjustment." I sincerely hope that there

is redemption at Capital One, and I beg you for such consideration. Please let me know if any additional

documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you again for the time you have

spent reading this letter.

Very hopefully yours,Complaint concerns: a Credit Card

Review: I have had a [redacted] credit card for around 20 years. Now all of a sudden Capital One takes over the account. On my last statement I have a $29.00 customer fee. I am told its to cover if I need unathorized charges protection etc. by email from a representative. The problem here is my credit card agreement with [redacted] I wasnt charged a fee for this. I have never paid an annual fee on that card. My daughter has a Capital One credit card and she doesnt have any annual fee. I want the $29.00 refunded and I do not want to ever be charged a customer fee again! I dont own a single credit card that has an annual fee and wouldnt get one that has an annual fee. Review: I Have a unsecured credit card, and I applied for an increase and I have made more than required payments and was denied ever single time, for the month of September I made over $400.00 In payments. Yesterday I applied again and again I was denied, this time the letter stated that I had a return payment. On my last payment of 130 the bank returned it because I tried to pay through my savings which I didn't know so I moved my money to my checking and made a $139 payment. First of all, this was not a required payment I had paid that plus more. I called CO and they informed me I needed to wait 2-3 month for this to clear up in their system. I don't think that is fair. I know I have provided my credit worthiness and I should be issued an increase. My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I earned an increase to my credit limit.

Review: I was contacted by Capital One and told that my credit card information, as well as several thousand others, had been compromised and for the 5th time in 3 years I would need to close my account and have a card reissued. While I can appreciate that this type of fraud is happening more and more often in a world where data bases are hacked on a regular basis, I had one very simple question. Where was my data hacked? As a victim of the fraud, I have a right to know. I'm being told that I will not be given that information. This is similar to having my car stolen, the police stating that they know who stole it, but they will not tell me. I have called Capital One twice, engaged in 2 irritating chat sessions., asked for someone to call me with an answer to my question and have yet to have a call initiated by Capital One to me. I can only assume that either Capital One's data base was hacked and they don't want the word to get out or that they are protecting a large merchant who is more important to them than me. In fact, Stanley, the last person at CO that I talked to, told me as much, stating that merchants have rights, too or that maybe I could call local law enforcement and they could tell me. Really?? So patronizing and insulting. My complaint concerns: a Credit CardDesired Settlement: I want to know where my information was compromised.

Regards,

Review: To whom it may concern,

This is concerning the account ending in [redacted] by [redacted].

I have tried several times to get in contact with customer support to remove late remarks from 5 years ago. I spoke with one CSR who said that they would request the removal of these entries due to the fact that I am a current customer, in good standing, with my checking account linked and automatic payments setup.

I have sent goodwill request letters, and attempted both chat conversations and phone calls. Each time I speak with a CSR, he or she has severe trouble locating my account, and some even claim it doesn't exist. I haven't received a response to my written inquires, despite the promise a CSR made that he would request the removal of the late entries as report to the credit agencies.

One member of their staff claimed that they do not make goodwill gestures and yet another member promised to provide one. I also have several documented instances where good will gestures have been made on the behalf of good standing clients. There needs to be consistency.

During the time period this account was established I was very happy with the service, however I was not the ideal customer and made mistakes with my handling of the account. I should have kept better records regarding the account and I take full responsibility. Money had become very tight and I realized I was 60 days late in March / April of 2008. I worked very hard ensure the balance was paid in full and then I subsequently closed the card in 2010.

I have since opened a new Capital One card in the summer of 2011. To date, every bill has been paid in full each month and I have never been late. In fact, during the 7 years I have held accounts with Capital One, only 2 months have been noted as late.

I know that payment of my previous account was my responsibility and I am not attempting to justify this breach of my user agreement, I was however hoping you might review the circumstances under which this non-payment occurred and consider removing the negative trade line associated with this account from my three credit reports.

As soon as I became aware of the balance I contacted Capital One and made payments monthly until the account was paid in full. I provide this not to justify why the account was unpaid, but rather to show that the issue with Capital One for my previous account is not a good indicator of my actual credit worthiness. I hope that you would consider working with me on erasing this mark from my credit reports.Desired Settlement: Please remove the two late reports as stated by the customer service representative I spoke with.

Review: I had the option to return a payment with capital one. I questioned a customer service representative and asked if it would affect my account in any negative way. They ensured me that it would not and when I requested a credit increase they said the reason I was denied was because of the returned funds. the whole reason I questioned the representative was because I had the option to not return the payment it was just a preference to have the payment returned. My account has been in good standing and this seems to be the only reason I was denied the credit increase. Furthermore, I called capital one and told them my issue. They said a statement would be sent to the back office on my behalf. I asked when would I get a response to my request. They informed my I might not get one at all. They failed to honor their claim of not affecting my account and stated I might not get a response to my inquiry.Desired Settlement: I would like my request to increase the limit on my card approved or rewards points equal to that increase added to my card. I in return made a [redacted] payment to them to pay off my balance. A day later they put a hold on my available credit stating they needed to verify activity on my account. Since they could not call a disconnected number they wanted me to send in My Personal Documents to verify who I was, with Identity Theft already a problem in my pass I refused to send them anything and they would not take the hold off my account. I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Again, this account, along with others that were open around the same time under my name, are being disputed under identity theft. My personal identification was stolen in 2007, and accounts were opened in my name during that year, and in 2008. I discovered this when pulling my credit report. This appears to be a case of identity fraud. What is the phone number that has been linked to the account? May I see the signed statement, as I didn't see it as part of the billing paperwork? I was unaware of this account until I saw it on my credit report, and I immediately disputed it with Credit Bureaus, and have been disputing it since.

Regards,
