understanding the issue you had with tying up a lift, it is difficult for me to understand what you though CJ Pony Parts could possibly do in this case except try to understand what the issue was and contact the manufacturer to see why it wasn't working on your application. short of magically flying another flexplate to your local shop, what else could we do within a two hour time frame. I am not opposed to helping with the modification costs if you can get me a receipt. as for the shop charges for tying up a lift, in the automotive industry, labor costs and so forth are never something that is covered when it comes to aftermarket replacement parts suppliers. please email the receipt, for the modifications to the part, to my email and I'll look into that for you. The customer, or someone acting on behalf of the customer has ruined the item by sanding entirely too much.  This has been confirmed by the manufacturer of the item, as per the attached email.  There was no manufacturing flaw reported prior to the prep work.The item has been damaged due to improper prep and is now the responsibility of whomever has performed the work. There is no refund due from CJ Pony Parts.

I am rejecting this response because: The assessment of the situation is incorrect.  I explained that it was not overtightened.  We received the product in that condition.  We tried to make it work, as sending that particular part back and forth can rack up quite the shipping charges.  Our attempt to use the part, despite the defect, was unsuccessful.  I should be able to return the part.

I am rejecting this response because:I have not received a refund. I have checked my bank account twice today.I opened this complaint because I said I was going to open the complaint, per the email I sent to CJ management/owner. CJ, has yet to follow through with anything they say they will do. If it takes filing a complaint with Revdex.com and the Attorney General to get a resolution, then that is what will happen. I don't take kindly to being stolen from, or being lied to.

You are not listening to the call that I am referring too. The first time I called I was reporting you sent me wrong floor mats. The second time I called was when the guy told me they were not in stock. Obviously you aren't listening to the call I am talking about and I called in from [redacted] number.  Again I am requesting the date and time of the conversation you are referring too.  Additionally why would I order again from a company that lies to its customers?  This will be my first and only order from your company

I ordered a complete floor pan for a 67 mustang and when I got it in the car I found the passenger side front frame rail was twisted and inward tried to get the people at cj pony parts to send me a new one and they said to fix it my self and or live with it. say that there own shop doesn't like the welded floor pan they sold me. they said they would rather buy all the pieces and weld it together them selfs than buy that junk. that was the quote I got from there manager ed. so beware of there product and customer service they don't back what they sell or at least didn't for me

While I understand that the customer is stating the unit arrived this way, all units are checked for leaks prior to CJ's even getting them. The fact that the pictures show that the fitting marks are there and very deep, is a tell tale sign that it was tightened down too hard, pushing that seat back, causing the damage.

Review: I was shipped the wrong product and when I called the representative at the company stated after I returned the incorrect product they would ship me the correct product and take 20% off my purchase price. Then after I returned the item they inform me they didn't have it in stock and would have to wait another week and a half. Then I received a email receipt showing my product had been shipped but they over charged me and didn't give me the 20% discount. I called and the representative stated there was no record of the discount and refused to refund me the price difference.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor the price they promised me and refund me 20% off the purchase price

One of the great things about our setup here at CJ Pony Parts is to be able to go back to review phone calls when a situation arises and after checking every inbound and every outbound phone call to this customers phone #, there was never any mention of a discount from any of my reps. There was one backorder update phone call to the customer from on of my reps where the customer himself mentions something about someone saying 20% off, but not one phone call backs this statement.Therefore, no discount was given. As I mentioned, the very first call regarding the problem is one I've listened to and my rep took your info and called you back after checking stock. There was the mention of us sending you a call tag but no pricing offer ever came up. If you are looking to place a future order, I am willing to offer you a discount on that but I can 100% honestly say that this phone # does not bring up any calls where there was a discount offered at all by any one of my reps.

I did also ask for you to let me know if there were any other phone #'s that you may have called us from or we might have called you on.

Review: Over the past several years I have been restoring my 69 [redacted]. I have almost exclusively purchased all of the necessary parts needed for the restoration through mail order from CJ Pony Parts. The purchases were made online and did not involve a sales representative. During this time period I have placed over 80 online orders with CJ Pony Parts totaling just under $10,000. Out of those orders I have acquired 14 items that I did not use during the restoration. These are all brand new unused and unopened items. I called CJ Pony Parts today to ask them what the procedure was for shipping back a return. They told me that they would not return anything over 60 days old. They stated that this was their policy. My problem is not with their return policy. If I was made aware of it I would have followed it. My problem is with the fact that they do not advertise this policy when purchasing or receiving items from them. Not once when I placed any of my 80 online orders was anything stated about a 60 day return policy. Also, when I received the purchased items, there was nothing on any of the receipts stating that CJ Pony Parts has a 60 day return policy. I informed the representative on the phone that their return policy was not made known to Internet buyers and her response was that it is outlined in their paper catalog, and is on their website, but it is not on their receipts. Since I didn't order through a paper catalog there was no way that I would have seen their return policy there. As far as their web site goes, I searched for quite a while and I could not locate their return policy on their website. The woman I spoke with on the phone also stated that they have had issues with this before. So they are aware of the problem, but apparently they chose to do nothing to correct the problem. Basically they have a policy that they expect people to follow, but they make it almost impossible to find. They should not expect customers to follow a policy that is not clearly stated and easily found.

It is clear to me that this company does not care about its customers. I now see how unimportant my business is to them. I will never purchase anything from them again and I will make a conscious effort to tell everyone that I can that they should not purchase anything from CJ Pony Parts.

Review: My husband and I are restoring a 1966 mustang. We just had the engine rebuilt so we needed so headers for the enigine. We put after market heads on the engine. We went through CJ pony parts catalog and found some headers made by [redacted]. It claims that they will fit any 289/302 motor. But when we received them, we tired to put them in my car and they are way to big to fit in with the engine. My husband then called Cj pony parts to try to figure out if they sent us they wrong ones. The gentleman that my hudband talked to said to send pictures to show their warranty department to see if they could do anything about it. He told us he would call us back and after two weeks we heard nothing back. My husband then called them to see what they found out about the headers. They told him that they should fit and they needed more pictures. My husband sent more pictures and after another week we still didn't hear anything from them. My husband called them back for third time to figure things out. The first person he talked and a new person he talked to called him a liar that we were putting a 351 windsor motor in the car. After he argued with them, they still told him that they should fit that they were the right part and was then told to call the manufacturer ([redacted]). My husband called them and [redacted] told him that they would not fit after market heads. So my husabnd then called Cj pony parts back to tell them what he was told. They said that we could return them to get or money back. My husband told them that they had a few scratches on them and the customer service rep said that scratches were mothing to worry about. We shipped them back at our cost. My husband them received an email stating the the return was good and the money should be in our bank account. After another week no money was in the account. My husband then called again was told he that he had $750 credit on our Cj pony parts account. He was them told he had to talk to the first gentlemen who my husband talked to on the phone to see why we had a credit on the cj pony account instead of our bank account. He was told he was not working and he left a voice mail. Four hours after his shift started my husband called him back and was told that he needed to called the billing department. My husband then called him on the following Monday. He was told that they had to many scratches and I would have to call fedx to get them sent back to us at our cost. So there is another $ 100 cost that we have paid. He was then called a lair that those parts should fit and that we were going to have to take a loss on the headers. I called them as well h=and was told that they should fit but they don't. And if I wanted my money back that I could call fedx and claim they were damaged in shipping and hope that fedx would then remeberse us the money.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the refund of my money for the headers and the cost of us shipping them. I would also like them to change the catalog and web site to state what they actually fit and what the specs are for these headers. So others won't have the same issues that we have.

Review: I ordered a set of headlight buckets for my 90 fox body and fog lights. Cj Pony sent me an email saying that the fog light were on back order. They should of said they were on back order when I ordered them. I told CJ Pony to cancel my entire order and customer service said everything was being taken care of. About 5 days later a package arrives at my door step. I called CJ Pony and they game me an RMA number to send the package back. I go to Fedex to ship the package back and the RMA number was not good. I called CJ Pony and they said I needed to pay for shipping for returning the item. Shipping costs 55 dollars which I paid to get this outta my sight. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I paid 55 dollars for nothing.Desired Settlement: 55 dollars for Fedex Ground shipment, receipts can be furnished per request.

all of our orders are processed as quickly as possible and if a customer calls at a point to cancel the order and it is already in process for shipment or already shipped, we cannot stop it at that point. When he called in to get a returnauthorization, he would have been told to use US Mail shipping as this is the cheapest method for the general public. Since he decided to use Fed-Ex, because that is how the package arrived, he accepted the charges and shipped the package. he should not expect CJ's to refund that amount. He obviously wanted these parts, and at the time of the purchase, our site would have said "this item typically ships in 5 to 7 days" on items that were not in stock. The headlight kit was in stock at time of purchase so it shipped. Besides that note on the part online, his email order confirmation, that is emailed to the customer within minutes of order confirmation, would have shown the items on backorder.

At the point of his call to cancel the order May 14th, the headlight kit had already shipped the day the order was placed, May 7th. The other items that were on backorder had been canceled on May 14th.

CJ's will NOT be refunding his return shipping costs but will refund the full price of the headlight once received.
