 The refrigerator needs to be replaced. I am fearful that other shelves will explode! in addition, the ice drawer has not worked and the remedy for addressing the problem (shut down the refrigerator - completely - for 48 hours) does not solve the problem. In fact - I have a none working appliance for which I paid almost $6000. I acquired the appliance in 2013 - surely a high end refrigerator has a life span of over 1 year.

I agreed to accept their "offer" and asked for the part only and I would arrange my own installation. They refused. The "offer" simply masks their cost by charging an installation fee so that there is no cost to them.
I am simply asking them to honor their warranty AND I have even graciously offered to absorb the installation costs myself.

We reviewed this case and service history and found that the customer was overnighted the parts needed to repair the unit and they were delivered the day after his initial call to GE for service.  The technician we have in the area was booked up for two weeks and while we did...

have other options available the customer advised us he could wait.  During the time that he was waiting for service he called us multiple times with different stories.  We were advised that he had a friend fix the unit using the parts we sent but that didn’t repair the problem.  During this time we attempted several times to set up service for him but he chose to replace the unit with a non GE product.

I have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble he's had with his GE Profile Refrigerator.
We sent him $75 as a good will gesture and also provided the phone number to [redacted] Insurance for any personal or property...

damage claims.
I followed up with him today in regards to the most recent repair on **/7.  He has informed me that the unit is now fixed and working fine.

 I spoke with representative and he told me all he can do for me is send the knobs and the griddle. If this stove was new, it must have been a defective one. I received the knobs and they don't fit. I have a power boil on my stove.  I am totally dissatisfy with this product.

The GE Serviceman completely exchanged the interior of the upper portion of my wall oven with new parts and the appliance works again.  I am satisfied with the results of the repair.  I am not satisfied with GE's customer service, their lackluster response nor their lack of concern for the complete breakdown of an expensive appliance.  GE threw up their hands, and my appliance was fixed only from the due diligence of [redacted], the retail store who sold me the appliance.  If you could forward this to GE I would appreciate it. 
I will purchase from [redacted] again, I am now a more informed consumer that extended warranties are not what I thought them to be, and I will not purchase a GE Profile appliance again.

Everything is working fine now  consumer will call me directly if that changes.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s case.  Please be advised that GE has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] in early October.  We have offered to cover the cost of the parts (cooktop) for any return service call that is set up for same.  Mr. [redacted],...

however, would be responsible for labor charges associated with this repair.   The technician advised me that the spot on the cooktop looks to be a stain which was unable to be removed.
