[I want GE to replace...

it with a new working non-damaged dishwasher since I purchased it brand new. I don't want a refurbished dishwasher since this is ultimately what GE is trying to do by repairing a damaged and defective dishwasher that they delivered to me. ]
Thank you,

GE appliance offered 70% off their MSRP of $3100.00 ( the unit discussed is comparable to the unit originally purchase).  This would be $930.00 plus 75.00 delivery/ removal + sales tax.
I have asked for a FAIR resolution as this applianance is a lemon and was a lemon from the beginning during warranty, extended warranty and out of warranty.  I willingly worked w/ GE as their choice was to repair and I believed them when they said they could.  GE dragged out this situation and now they use that length of time as their argument in not offering a better compromise.
I countered their offer with
1. $839.70 ( which is 70% off the highest retail in my area with unit in stock of $2799.00 at a high end appliance store)
2. Waive delivery /removal charge $75.
3. extended warranty as a sign of good faith
[redacted] only agreed to #2 waiving delivery/ removal charge of $75
[redacted] emailed me saying he would have his customer relations manager intervene for a resolution.  I have not heard from anyone other than [redacted]. He does not appear to be interested in considering my offer of resolution.
This is where I feel bullied by GE and their terms.

He had confirmed that it was working at this time.
I informed him that I can offer one of the two options as resolution to his...

complaint:
~One year extension on the warranty starting from today's date
or
~A substantial discount on a brand new washer which would come with a brand new warranty
He chose to take the offer of a 12-month extension on the warranty on the current unit.  I have mailed that to his daughter and told him that she should expect it within 5-7 business days.

Unfortunately this response is inadequate as this situation falls under the unit being a lemon.  I have worked with GE ample times to repair the same problem over and over again, under warranty, under extended warranty and out of warranty.  All symptoms and problems and choices by GE, GE TAG team and GE authorized repairmen have been directly associated with the same problem except for the ice maker which was repaired in summer 2009.  At the time of that visit SUMMER 2009  the other icing symptoms, noises etc were looked at and was the beginning of this long drawn out process.  It took several visits until the problem was pinpointed.  There were a variety of solutions that only merely took care of the icing, water leaking symptoms but not the CAUSE of those symptoms.  There have been at least 3 repairs directed at the actual cause of the drain tube freezing ang backing up water and ice. This final visit in August 20** with repairmen [redacted] (who is extremely familiar with my case) and GE TAG team declared the unit unrepairable.  There are no more options to try and fix the problem. GE's offer of 70% off there website MSRP + 75.00 delivery/ removal AND PA tax is not a fair offer for my situation. GE feels I can choose a lesser unit to lower my out of pocket. 1. a comparable unit is what we are replacing 2. their price is already higher than at a local appliance store(not a box store) approx. $400 3rd the choices on the website are limited and I am having trouble to even find them at a showroom so choice is made sight unseen. 4. THIS UNIT IS A LEMON! the only reason this situation is still going on is GE's refusal to recognize this and take care of it right away.  I had asked both GE consumer relations and the authorized repair [redacted] when is this " a lemon"  and when will it be replaced rather than repaired? The response "we are not there yet"  I have been cooperative, but I am now realizing I was being pushed around so that GE could use the fact that I have had this unit too long to justify their unwillingness to do what is right. I understand that there is no exact replacement and I am willing to work with them but I spent $2408.32 and have nothing but headaches with this unit it was NEVER running properly. GE at least owes me that much off a unit of my choice or a refund so I can buy a replacement at another dealer.  They can have this unit back.  It is a ticking time bomb, it's terminal, as confirmed by [redacted] # [redacted] it is already showing the signs of the water backing up and freezing with in 24 hrs of his repair.  Every time the attempt was made to repair it just gave you the false sense all was going to be ok when the reality was it was already slowly freezing and backing up till the out ward symptoms were seen. It will eventually freeze up and shut down.
Thank you ,

I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and apologized for any confusion regarding her certificate for a refund/rebate.
I suggested she mail the Good Will Certificate back to me directly, and I agreed to mail her a check/cash refund in the...

I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 10/13 and apologized for the trouble he's had with his GE Gas Range.  He explained the issue he was having in great detail which was then communicated to our engineering department.
The...

appliance did get exchanged through the GE Consumer Relations department which was installed on 10/14.  I have confirmed that it is now working to his satisfaction.
Mr. [redacted] did mention that he had a box (3 wrapped together as one) of new parts that he would be glad to return.  I told him that I would try and obtain an RMA to get those parts picked up and returned back to GE.  That RMA number is: 0003474, with a tracking number of: [redacted] and is scheduled for pick up on 11/18.
Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.

It was reported to GE that a griddle’s finish had deteriorated and a knob had broken.  GE agreed to send those parts and did so.  GE is not agreeable to replacing the range or reimbursing the purchase price of the product.

Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

A new microwave was delivered yesterday (11-13-14) the same model, I used it today (11-14-14) and it's doing the same thing. Like the last one it started with the popcorn sensor. I believe it's a defeat in the model and I request the retail price of $149. so I can buy another brand.
Thank you

Two major items:
1) First and foremost, it is crystal clear to me that had it not been for filing this complaint and Revdex.com intervention, I would still be without a washing machine. This is the main reason why I am rejecting the response from the business; the practice of misinforming consumers that there is no "escalation" available besides Customer Service is ethically improper and clearly engineered into the business' dispute resolution procedures. I had problems at the fundamental tech level through what appears to be the corporate level (CS).
2) The Program Manager who responded to my complaint was nothing short of fantastic. What she wrote is accurate to a degree, I indeed did receive a replacement machine, but I did not accept the $50 that was offered. I am far more interested in seeing a company that I held in high esteem "do the right thing" for people who are waiting for proper replacement or repair.
Again, I would like to thank both the Revdex.com and the company's Program Manager for quickly and efficiently addressing the part that really matters to my family, the washer. The problem I have? Things got way too out of hand before they were involved.

I am now working with a Kelly from KY... She trying to find a repair person on Oct 31st, [redacted] ... that has not yet happen.. I not sure how I am going to do a Friday during the week day because I work over 258 miles one way to my location.  I am in my 6 months work time and have NO vacation days. If I do not work then I loose that money of $[redacted] a day gross wages. I live from paychex to paychex a week and a senior citizens on social security.. I am not sure how I would live without that money in the next week paychex to pay that weeks bills due.
Kelly is also trying to get a repair person to come on a Sat ...
Things are still at a stand still.. but at least someone is trying to work on things.
Keep you posted if Kelly from GE Appliances is able to make something go forward.
