I spoke with Ms. [redacted] regarding the concern with her GE washer. GE has advised her that the unit is six years old and out of warranty. Due to a part not being available GE has offered her a reduced pro-rate into a...

The dishwasher in question would be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty from one year from the date it was put into use. That reported date was 3/20/**. The warranty does transfer to a subsequent owner during that first year timeframe.

General [redacted] did not attempt to do anything to help me until I reported them to the Revdex.com. If I had not taken this step, I would continue to be waiting for my repair. The 75.00 dollars that General [redacted] explained as "good Faith" was simply the amount that their insurance customarily gives to give to customers as covered by their policy. I made the appointment to have it repaired myself with no help from General [redacted]. They only called AFTER I made my own appointment. The customer service has been terrible. The company only responded and did damage control AFTER the fact. My health suffered as a result of this and the company thinks that what LITTLE they did is satisfactory. It is not, I have to now deal with regaining my health due to the poor customer service and negligence of General [redacted].

I talked to the consumer today and all is well. Service has been completed.
The consumer has now received their rebate.
