Review: I filled out a application to be an merchant they kept needing so much info and also told me that my limit would only be 1000. 00 dollars and I did not have all the info they needed so we told them to forget it and cancel the aapplication so we thought all was well. It was about five months or so later that I noticed that different amounts of money was being taken from my account and checking with my bank it was Commerce Payment Systems. The bank could not put a stop payment because they were taking out different amounts every month so we had to close the account out. I never received anything from them no credit card machine no contract no material no paperwork no notice of them taking money out of my account no billing and no more emails from them. I never did any business with them at all never processed any credit cards. They have not responded to any of our calls they always tell me they are going to look into it and have someone call me I have not heard from them and it has been about three months I have been trying with them can you please help me.Desired Settlement: All I want is my money they took from me for no service rendered.

Review: A merchant account was set up in May of 2013 with this company. In April of 2014 it was discovered that they were processing our credit card sales but no deposits being make to our account. Upon calling them for an explanation, I was told they needed my last three months bank statement and the agreement hadn't been signed. I emailed them the information they requested. They then shut the account down stating that the account had been set up as my former secretary being the owner of the company. They informed me that my money would be held for six months before being released to me. They refuse to give me a statement showing how much they owe me, I estimate it to be more than $13,000.00.Desired Settlement: To have funds released to me immediately.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Their so called red flag went up when we called to see why no funds were being deposited to my account and it was discovered they had set up the account as my former secretary being owner of my company. They then shut the account down. I never signed an agreement with them to hold my money for six months. They have released part of the money but are refusing to release the rest of it for six month. I called earlier this week to request a statement of fees we have been charged which I still haven't received. I it not acceptable to me to wait six more months to get my money since they were the ones that shut down my account.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Why is the remainder of all funds being held for six months. Shouldn't it be 6 months from date of purchase? I have no contract with them that would allow them to do this.

[Sincerely,

Review: My bank account was debited $111.67 on 12/* by Commerce Payments with only $12.67 being an approved debit. When I called on Dec. [redacted] I spoke with [redacted] who informed me that I was being charged a "reporting fee to the IRS that was being passed down to the customer". This is an unauthorized charge and is not in the original contract that I signed on Feb. 3, 2012. [redacted] told me that they had informed me of the upcoming charge on my October statement which (according to him) made it ok to withdraw. During the call, I had my October statement in hand in which it said no such thing. Regardless if it was printed on a statement or not, this charge was still unauthorized by me or my contract; additional charges are not justified by printing it on a statement (without my consent).

This is the third time this has happened this year... May, August, and December. The May charge of $99 was finally refunded after disputing with Commerce Payments, with no resolution, and having to contact the Revdex.com. The August charge of $35 was never refunded nor did I receive a call back from a manager as requested. The December (most recent) charge of $99, according to [redacted], will not be refunded nor have I received a call back from the manager as I was told would happen within 24 hours.

Long story short... I agree to the $12.67 being debited from my account for fees in Dec. but not the additional $99, the $35 in August, or any additional unwarranted charges.Desired Settlement: $134 refunded to my account immediately.

Response:

Review: I recently opened a business in June of 2013 and called Commerce about credit card services. they were eager to set me up. They sent me the credit card processor and when I installed it, it would not work. I called customer service and was told they sent me the wrong type of machine for my phone system here. I was asked to mail it back immediately and call on Monday to order correct machine. So my opening weekend I had no means of processing credit cards. When I called on Monday I was told that the type I would need is a twenty dollar a month charge alone just for the machine. I told them I would cancel and look into other methods of processing. They sent me a cancellation form which I immediately faxed back to them. This was the beginning of June. In August I noticed that $20.05 was taken out of my account. I called commerce and they told me I didn't fax form to cancel service. I told hem I did. they told me no and made me do it again. They refused to refund me the $69.15 from June they took and also the $20.05. I have made at least 30 phone calls to this company and dealt with countless hours on the phone with the rudest people I have ever heard. One girl told me after I was on hold for 37 minutes and I said "Oh Please don't put me on hold again: not to mess with her she wasn't in a good mood. Well low and behold in September they removed $54.90 from my bank account! I had to make numerous calls again, with rude people accusing me of being the rude one. I finally had a guy that helped me and assured me it would not happen again. He also told me I would be refunded the first week in October, the next billing cycle. Well it didn't happen again. So I called. Rudest girl that after putting me on hold for 10 minutes told me my refund was denied in August. I tried to explain to her that this is not true but she was so incredibly rude. I asked to speak to a manager in which she responded there aren't any here. I hung up and called back to the billing department and spoke with billing. He gave me pretty much the same line. I told him that I spoke with someone in Sept. and he asked me his name. I told him I didn't remember isn't it documented in the computer? he said yes. So I asked "Then why are you asking me then? Just let me talk to him again." His reply was "I cant give out names and phone numbers of employees." I am at my wits end. I have never had one credit card transaction with this company. I am a small business and $134.10 is a big deal to me. This was there mistake to begin with. I was never asked any questions about my phone lines or even given any clue that there is a difference in machines based off of this. I have numerous saved emails and confirmed fax records of my cancelling my service with them. I don't know what else to do but they should not get away with treating people the way they do its horrible.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $134.10 this company has scammed from me. That's all I ever wanted from the get go.

Review: I hired Commerce Payment Stystems to process and fund my credit card transactions for my business. They promise 24/7 customer support and 24 hour funding for all transactions. After being approved by underwriting, I needed to get the credit card processing equipment before I could start accepting credit cards at my business. I called and left a message for my sales rep [redacted]. After not receiving a call back the day before, I called again and again I didn't receive a call back. On day three, I called again and asked for someone else to talk to instead of [redacted] voice mail. After a few minutes, [redacted] was on the phone. She said she had left me a message the day before, but she had not really left a message. I double checked my phone and no calls or messages came from her or her company. She said she would request my equipment to be overnighted so I could have it before noon the next day. The next day I still did not receive any equipment. I called Commerce again. This time I spoke to man, who after putting me on hold for several minutes, came back and said that there is no way [redacted] could have requested the equipment to be overnighted because that particular equipment was on backorder, therefore, was not available. He then offered my a credit card reader that plugged into a smart phone and said that it was all they had available. My choice was to take this equipment or not be able to accept credit cards. I had to take the equipment, even though it wasn't what they promised me, because I had already lost several thousand dollars in sales due to not being able to take credit cards.

After using their services for about 9 days, I went to my bank to make a withdrawl from the more than $40,000 in credit card transaction during that time. To my surprise there had been no deposits to my account at all! It was Saturday, 7/*/2013. I immediately called customer service since there was 24 hour support available. Instead of getting service, I got a recording saying their office hours are Monday through Friday. On Monday morning, after they opened at 9am, I called their office. I waited on hold for an hour and 17 minutes before getting a service rep who said he couldn't help me and would have to transfer me to someone in underwriting. I was put back on hold. After sitting on hold in dead silence for another hour, I hung up and called back to ask for a manager. I nicely asked not to be put back into the calling que for service and instead I needed to speak to a manager. The girl asked me to hold for a minute and then transfered me back to the service calling que with 29 callers in ahead of me. I hung up and called back again. This time she said "thank you for calling, please hold" and transfered me right back to the calling que. So far, I'm still on hold and still have not spoken to anyone that has helped me or even offered to help me.Desired Settlement: They still owe my company $41,987.24 for the credit card transactions they collected on behalf of my company. In addition I would like to be refunded the monthly service fee and any related set-up fees from when I started doing business with them.

Review: Used this company for processing credit cards. Did not use the system since April 2014 and from then until November 2014 they have taken approx. $1,000 from my checking account ranging from $100 - $200 a month. I called and asked why I was charged this much money when I never used the system and claimed that there were non use fees that were never disclosed. After cancelling the account ive found that they are still taking money out. Please helpDesired Settlement: I would like all of the charges from April 2014 refunded to me but would settle for at least $700.00

Review: I signed with the company in February and decided to cancel I refused delivery of equipment from UPS. I called and asked how to cancel and followed the entire process to cancel. In March I was debited from my bank account for $68.95, which they had no authorization to do so. Then in March, I was debited for $118.95 which again they had no authorization to do nor did they have any detail for the transactions.

I called my bank to dispute these 2 unauthorized transactions and they said because of Reg E (24 hour period) they were unable to asset.

I then called commerce payment systems and asked for a refund and they said YES we can see here the transactions were inaccurate and you will have a refund at the end of the month. The first week of April, no refund came so I called them again and the person on the phone said, Oh yes, I see it here. You should have been refunded, so I will escalate the process". To this day May [redacted], still no refund. When I called them today (2x) the first person said the refund was in hold stays and I got disconnected. When I called back again, the other person said my refund was declined and gave me no reason as to the declined refund.

Again, the originally told me the refund should have been sent… now they say that no refund is coming.

I believe these charges were fraudulent and I am seeking my refund in the amount of $188.95 + $68.95 = $187.79

I have all email correspondents to back this up….Desired Settlement: I believe these charges were fraudulent and sporadic and they admitted to me on the phone they were wrong and a refund was due- I am seeking my refund in the amount of $188.95 + $68.95 = $187.79

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I will consider this complaint to be closed as soon as funds have been returned to my bank.

Sincerely,

This company is horrible to deal with. Stay away. We tried to cancel our processing with them in January. Starting in April, we began getting charged $99 inactivity fee. Charged $75 again in May and $74 again in June. They are impossible to deal with and very rude. I have never dealt with a company who's CUSTOMER SERVICE was so horrible.

Review: I hired Commerce Payment Systems months ago and they advertise low cost less fees. All I get is fees. They also set me up with a credit limit lower than my sales down payments and keep holding funds without notice. They were supposed to raise the limit but keep holding funds and make themselves unavailable, don't return calls and give wrong numbers for fax numbers. They are currently being ran by [redacted] which I think owns them. I quit [redacted] before going with Commerce Payment Systems because of high fees and fluctuating unpredictable percentage rates. [redacted] charged me a cancellation fee even though I was with them for 5 years and their contract read that there would be no cancellation fee if I quit after the first year. They are scammy and are probably breaking Federal Laws. They are affiliated with [redacted] which also has a reputation for breaking laws.Desired Settlement: Refund all of the fees they didn't disclose. The sales person said there weren't any hidden fees. I'm being charged fees that aren't listed on the advertisement and were told to me wouldn't be charged by the sales person.

Review: I was contacted by this company to set up Credit Card transactions for my business. After sending all my personal information, they said I was set up, and my terminal would be overnighted. I asked for a tracking number, and I have yet to receive either tracking number, nor the terminal. I called the 24/7 customer service number, and stayed on hold for 42 minutes. When the rep came on the line, he could not find my account, nor where anything was sent to me. I told the rep that after 30 seconds of not finding my account, after numerous emails to me saying that I was all set up, that I was going to report the company. He mysteriously found my account, but could not see if any order had been made. I asked to cancel my order immediately, but he said he could not do that. I am cancelling my bank account tomorrow that is associated with this account, and hopefully I can get away from them without too much damage. I feel that I have been scammed, and after my conversation with rep, I did some digging, and found many more with the same complaints.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to cancel my account, and all my personal info be destroyed.

Review: My contract states the highest rate I could be charged for processing any card woud be 3.05% most of them should be much lower such as in the 2% range. I was charged as much as an average of 6.7% over a 3 month period. When I called and complained they fixed the problem for the next billing cycle but are unwilling to refund the overcharges for the 3 months.Desired Settlement: Refund $4,230.31 That you overcharged me from May, June, and July.

[Your Answer Here]

Hello [redacted],

I tried to call you and e-mailed you but you have not responed like you said you would in your response. My contract states that the highest discount rate I could be charged is 1.63% plus up to a 1.42% surcharge That is a maximum total of 3.05%. The salesman said it would average closer to 2% like my previous processor. I got my first 3 statements and it averaged 6+% That is no where near what is in my contract. When I called to get this fixed I was told commerce payment systems made a mistake and set up the account wrong, they fixed it and the next month the billing was correct and averaged 2.8%. This proves you charged me more than your contract states. Please refund my $4230.31.

Review: We checked out several rates from different credit card processors, one of them was [redacted]/ Commerce Payment Systems. We did not sign up witheither service after receiving their quotes. Our contact fro this company was [redacted]. We now have noticed ACH withdrawals from our business account made by this company. We can only assume that our bank info was stolen from the bottom of our voided check that was given as proof of our business account, These are, without a doubt, FRAUDS. BEWARE of these companies. We are initiating chargebacks on these ACH withdrawals, and will be sharing our story at every avaialable avenue. Do not even let the thieves give you a processing quote. It is outrageous that they behave this way and are still in the processing business.Desired Settlement: Refund. Review: My business was overbilled, via an automatic deduction from our business checking account, in September and October of 2013. I contacted the company then and was told to expect credits to follow with accompanying e-mail confirmation. I never received the credit that were admittedly due by the company nor did I receive any follow up. I continued to call the company atleast monthly with no attempt by them to resolve the matter. In January 2014, I was again over billed by Commerce Payment Systems via an another automatic deduction from our checking account. I spoke to a young man, [redacted], who assured me he submitted the credit requests to management. Again, I did not receive any follow up from the company nor any credit on my monthly credit card processing bills. I have since called the business monthly and have been patched through to "management" who is never available to talk to me, each time I have left a message and have never received any follow up contact.Desired Settlement: I expect a credit on my account to reflect the incorrect billing of my company at the rate of 1.39% instead of the .13% we were supposed to have on all three months previously noted. I would also appreciate a sincere apology for numerous hours I have spent doggedly attempting to contact this company and resolve this issue. I am beyond disappointed in this company.

Review: I terminated the use of there services in august 2013 because the credit card terminal we PURCHASED from them quit working. We call to get it fixed and we were told sense we purchased a new reconditioned terminal it had only a 90 warranty and they would not fix or replace it. We terminated services with them because we could not process credit cards. We were billed for September and November we called and were told they had not received the cancellation on there form so they did not terminate it. on the first of November We had them email us a form we filled it out emailed it back, and faxed it back from 2 different locations and called to confirm they received it. They got every copy sent to them. They still did not issue me a refund at this time. December came and we were billed yet again. I called and was told we would be refunded after January *. We were billed for January and no refund. I called again and was told it was being taken care of. February I was billed yet again I started calling and assured it was taken care of. March I was billed yet again and I called and jumped up and down again. Again I was told it was being taken care of. April I was billed yet again and I started calling everyday in April and stopped calling the last week because I was assured I would have a refund in my account. I called today because I have not received the refund. I have tried to talk to a [redacted] all through this process and have yet to receive a return phone call.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund me from September to current. I have not been a customer yet they charge me for services that can not be rendered. I jumped through all there hoops and was lied to every time I called. I want a full refund asap. I am a small business and we are up to over $800.00 from September to current not including the terminal we purchased that is just a paperweight.

Review: I contacted this company about a merchant account and was ask to send more information than needed. After sending them all my information, they send me emails & continue to call me about more information and that's when a red flag came across my mind, so I told them I wasn't interested anymore. After, telling the rep from the underwriting dept I wasn't interested anymore & disregard my application with my personal information and documents I was ask to sent, I was soon contacted my a rep name [redacted] who beg me to do business from them & I told him I was not still interested because I believed I send more information needed and they wanted more information. I told him to disregard everything and he said I have to cancel. I replied cancel what?" I never sign for a merchant account or ask to be shipped any equipment. The only thing I send was my documents, so why I need to cancel in the middle of an application process". So, he went off on me and hung up the phone. I email them and he said I was being ridiculous and had another rep to send a tracking number on a terminal I never sign for and also one of the rep kept hanging up on me. So, I contacted my bank and close my account and reopen another one due to them not returning my calls, disrespecting me & sending false emails with another company number on it stating they send a terminal, which I didn't request for or haven't receive.Desired Settlement: Commerce Payments need to shred all my personal information and need not to send me a credit card terminal or any offers in the future.

Canceled my account in September and was charged excessive fees in October, November and December. Never received any notification from company on fees never received any type of statement never was given the courtesy of a call back. They took $243 from my account that I feel they owe me back. I received nothing for this money that they took from me. They have no customer service and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.Desired Settlement: Refund. Some compromise would probably be better than nothing however they continue to tell me that its all my fault and they are crooks if you want my honest opinion. We all know in our heart what is right and what is wrong and if I treated my customers they way they have treated me I would have no business at all.

Review: I am a [redacted]. I have been getting charges for this company that I was not aware of and therefore bounced my account twice. When I decided to change companies I called to request a copy of my PCI certificate and 1st was told I'll have it in 24-48 hours. I was then told 3-5 days. Then I was told up to 10 days and finally I was told 6-8 weeks. I am not sure if this company even made me PCI compliant as I never had to fill out a questionaire or give any info to be compliant.Desired Settlement: copy of my PCI certificate

Review: I've open this account to try this service out because it advertises very low rates, but I was paying more than my previous processor, my service was open on 7/**/13 but I wasn't able to process anything until 8/**/13 because problems with programming machine, then I was never told how to get my statements, I've waited for two months for stamens to arrive on mail but never received anything until I decided to call them, then it took me another few days just to be able to view my statements online, but every month couldn't view my statement until the [redacted] or [redacted] of the following month ( just to view my previous month statement ). So I decided to cancel and I send cancel form on 11/**/13 and before sending form I've check to see my statement but as always I wasn't able to see anything, ( check for statement on 11/**/13 ). then on 12/**/13 I've got debited from my account $ 138.95 went online to see why, again no statement from november only October and there was a note on october statement that it said, THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF $99 FOR IRS REORT FEE ON NOVEMBER STATEMENT. I've never seen or imagined of an upcoming fee for following month when I cancel. So I called and representative summited a credit request but it was rejected, I've try to talk to a manager and explain my situation. I've send Emails / voice messages, no luck so far. So now I turn to you to correct this problem. THIS FEE IS A RIPOFF !!Desired Settlement: Refund because service was cancel before knowing future upcoming chargers.

Review: Commerce Payment Systems has charged my account $1200 for what they are calling variance fees at the end of the month. This is after they already took all the fees out of all my transacitons throughout the month. My sales rep [redacted], told me more than once and assured me their was no hidden fees, there were no interchange fees that werent part of their 1.38% rate. I have been charged many hidden fees this month, but let them go until now. I have this $1200 debit taken out of my account. I had even called customer service on 3 different occasions the past 2 weeks to verify there would be no hidden charges come out at the end of the month and was told no every time. I cant get anyone to call me back at all! When asked to tell me where on my contract it says that id be charged a variance, the answer from customer service was, all merchants get this, its from visa mastercard, nothing we can do! [redacted] flat out lied to me!Desired Settlement: I want it explained to me why [redacted] lied to me, why he said there wasnt any hidden charges, why no one mentioned any variance fees even when I called 3 times to verify there wouldnt be any end of month charges and I want a refund of these fees!
