*** On your first visit the trouble code that was stored in your cars computer directed us to replace your sensor with instruction from Toyota North America (We have these instructions in writing from Toyota NA)The cost for that service was $plus taxAt that time a safety inspection was performed and it was recommended that the front brake pads be replaced as they were measured at 3mm in addition the front calipers were ceased and not sliding correctly on their pinsNo pressure was placed on [redacted] to spend $for this repairShe could have called someone for a second opinion or called a family member for their opinion or came back at another time for the repairThe check engine light came on a second time and when the car was returned to the dealer the recommendation from Toyota NA through a service bulletin states that if the car returns for this condition there is an improved wiring harness availableToyota NA warranty for this item is years or 36k milesMrsLuongo's Toyota Avalon is 4-years out of warranty and she does not currently have an extended warranty that she could have purchased to cover her after the factory warranty was overNo bill was "inflated" and I welcome you to compare our prices with other Certified Toyota dealersYou will see our prices are more than competitive.The repair for the wiring harness was $with tax$was refunded to you for the first repair that ultimately did not stop your check engine light from coming on even though this is the course of action that was recommended to us by Toyota NAThe car was not made with a defective wiring harnessThe wiring harness lasted for almost years without needing a repairWiring harness go through constant vibration, flexing, exposure to heat and cold, water, ice and road salt can take a toll on the wiring harnessNothing underhanded was done at DCH Freehold ToyotaWe follow the warranty procedure that is giving to us by Toyota NAIf you are not happy with the warranty process that is set forth by the manufacturer, I suggest you speak to someone at the Toyota North America office [redacted] name along with her husband is on all of her service recordsThe dealer has no knowledge that someone is deceased unless we are made aware by the clientWe are sorry to here her husband is deceased and will remove his name from the service records if that is what [redacted] wishesThe dealer will provide a name and phone number for a contact at the NY Region if you would like to discuss your displeasure with the manufactures warranty

Just to escape from their responsibility, all of them conveniently lied to meAnd when I brought up the new bolts and nuts part, you are changing your stand.Coming to your claim "The noise the customer is complaining about is from the exhaust resonator, an interior portion of the exhaust that is not accessibleWe could not damage this even intentionally since there is no access to inside the pipe.", does it even make sense to you? Let me give you an exampleYou dropped a camera and outside body is perfectly fine but internal mirror is brokenCan you say "I never had access to the mirror so I could not damage it even intentionally"? The technician could have mis-handled the pipe and the internal part could have brokenYou haven't answered to my question about the part (Tensioner Belt Assy) you guys said is brokenWhat is the guarantee that you didn't break it and charging me for your mistake? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate your help with this matter, I am willing to bring the vehicle in to you and get a loaner vehicle while you inspect the carHowever I have never see road debris like this on any vehicle ever before, I have had many different cars over the past years, they never chipped like this, also road debris would not be on the trunk of the car, I could understand if it was tiny chips on the hood, winshield, or even the roof of the car, but it is large chunks of paint chipping and it is also on the trunkAlso if it was road debris why is there no chips at all on my winshield or any glass on the car at all Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: First, Toyota NA did not inspect my car The local dealership inspected my car using their dealership mechanics As proof, pictures were shown to them as to the navigation failing It even failed when I brought the car in and they saw it with their own eyes Freehold Toyota's tech told his service manager to replace the navigation unit I did not Since the new unit was replaced, it is worse Now it not only loses contacts as before, but it reboots itselfThe car was purchased at another dealership but both dealerships are owned by DCH--one in Freehold and one in New Brunswick Even though I did not get the car in Freehold, any Toyota dealership can service their Toyotas that are under warranty Apple did do diagnostics on my phone several times and there is nothing wrong with my phone The problem is intermittent which means occurring at irregular intervals not continuous or steadyI even spoke to Entunes which runs the software for the navigation system and they know of such problems and the representative told me that it is the 'head' and it should be replaced and it is not the phone Let Toyota or Revdex.com call Entunes and verify the problem Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was informed by DCH that my payments would decrease so I'm confused if I'm paying more for the extended warranty why wouldn't my payments decrease AS far as name calling it is a fact that I contacted DCH Toyota Oct and I was told to fax them the letter of intent to cancel I have the confirmation of that faxed latter and spoke to JP on that date as well which is what he told me to do I have purchased several vehicles from DCH and never had a bad experience which is why I went back to themThis experience has been poorly managed by DCH, it's sale person who never returned calls after the sale of the car and Mr P who did tell me inOct he would take care of it I'm sorry to say that in my opinion the definition of someone of misrepresenting what they intend to do is in fact someone who is not telling the truth hence lying I'm am not in the habit insulting anyone especially a customer Or a business which I'm sure has many trustworthy people working for them Unfortunately, I can not include the two employees I have been dealing with ACtually , up until March I never had anything but decent regard of Pete except for his lack of return calls I would like to understand why it should take a complaint to do the right thing and please help me to understand why the payments do not retro back to Oct when this was no fault of mine I would appreciate this matter to be resolved Thank you [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] The business response is being rejected because:I am rejecting this response because again, [redacted] is repeating things that I already have heardI filed the complaint because I am not satisfied with their previous responses, which is still the caseThey have still refused to acknowledge a number of thingsFor their magnesium chloride argument to be valid, the garage floor not the driveway or the sidewalk would be falling apartI have also swept an entire pile of concrete off the driveway that has deteriorated (picture attached) and if this was a factor, then the entire city of Spokane would constantly be having this same issue with the top layer of their concrete flaking off and needing replacementThe binder that was given to my wife during the walk through does contain a piece of paper that says not to use de-icerIt also contains a piece of paper that says it is safe to use if used correctlySo the information we were given contradicts itself, which is why we deemed it was safe to use a product that is safe on concreteThe FAQ for the product says that as long as the concrete is more than a year old, the product is safe to use per its specificationsI used the product to its specifications, and the concrete was over a year old at the time of useAs a further measure, I took more time out of my day to call the company of the product and talked to them and they said that their product would not cause the damage we are seeing and it is a defect of the concreteThe temperature they claimed they poured it during was not the actual temperature that day in my zip code according to recordTwo concrete professionals, that are independent of [redacted] ’s payroll assessed our damage and determined that the concrete was defective and poured in too low of temperatures which resulted in the damage we are seeingThey said that sometimes, after years of application, de-ice products can cause little craters in concrete but would not cause the damage we are seeing with the concrete decomposing before our eyesI used this product once in December, did not use it again per their request, and the concrete is still deteriorating and breaks with the touch of a fingertipThe top layer of concrete is gone for most of my driveway now and the rocky layer underneath is now exposed and an eye sore.I trust the opinion of the two independent representatives as they were both the same opinionI have also had real estate professionals that are very familiar with homes in and around Spokane and they said that they have lived here for decades, and always used de-ice products as well as their clients and they have never seen the concrete damage that we haveSo if it was the de-ice product – why is this not a widespread issue in Spokane? Because it wasn’t the de-ice product, it was the concreteI will not be accepting any responses less than my driveway and sidewalk being completely ripped out and replaced with an appropriate mix of concrete, during appropriate temperatures, and the work being completed on the weekend as I cannot continue to take time away from my job for this issue since I have already had to do so for multiple independent assessments, emails, and phone callsOr being compensated the amount of the estimate I received to hire an independent professional of my choice to do so Sincerely, Mark W***

To whom it may concern, please attach the following to complaint [redacted] as the home owners response. please let me... know if there is anything I need to do. There was a pre-written response that said “I am rejecting the response because:” then I wrote the following 1. The builder offering to rip out the driveway only, and not the sidewalk and leave me with the cost of replacement is not an acceptable solution because the issue is as a result of their poor workmanship and refusal to abide by their warranty. 2. I had an independent concrete contractor come assess the damage because I tried to call [redacted] 's concrete person directly multiple times with no response and they did not come to the house at a time that I was notified so I could be present to ask questions. I showed the independent contractor the Truck Ticket and although it shows sealant he said there is no evidence on the concrete itself that it was sealed. 3. I used weatherunderground and put in my zip code of 99022 on October 19, 2016 and the average temperature for the day was 45 degrees, not 57 that [redacted] claims. I pointed this out to them in a previous correspondence for which they did not acknowledge that point. The independent contractor said at that temperature it is likely that the concrete froze before it completely set, which was evidenced by the state of my driveway. 4. The magnesium chloride the city uses is not a valid consideration because we do not park on the sidewalk leading to the front door or the driveway, so the chemicals drip off our cars onto the garage floor - which is not falling apart. 5. I used a product that is deemed safe on concrete, on ALL the concrete on my property including the public sidewalk that runs around the corner of my lot. Only the concrete that was poured by [redacted] on Octoer 19, 2016 is having this issue, not all the concrete so that doesn't seem to be a valid excuse for their poor workmanship. 2 of the 3 concrete assessments resulted in the same finding – that the concrete is defective. The 1 that didn’t result in this was the concrete person for [redacted] . Clearly this is a lack of them wanting to take accountability and spend the money to fix an issue that they created. Work performed on this customers vehicle was to repair an oil consumption issue which involves rebuilding the lower half of the engine replacing the piston rings, pistons, rod bearings and some other componentsIt was also recommended and approved to rebuild the upper half of the engine, this involves removing the intake and exhaust valves, cleaning all valve surfaces and replacing valve sealsTo complete this work we do have to disconnect the exhaust pipe, this explains the new boltsThe exhaust pipe and other exhaust components are not removed from the vehicle, just nuts and bolts are removedThe noise the customer is complaining about is from the exhaust resonator, an interior portion of the exhaust that is not accessibleWe could not damage this even intentionally since there is no access to inside the pipe The initial price the customer was quoted was accurate at the time, however there was a price change that was extended to the customerI am not aware of the new pricing existing for the length of time the customer is referencingWe realize the customer has spent a substantial amount of money with us and our offer to the customer is we will replace the part with no labor charges.
