I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
You are correct, it is unfortunate that this has to be handled this way. You indicate that everything was explained, yet you have yet to explain how a bed means just a mattress, how a crib means just a mattress, how bunk bed means just a mattress, how I am supposed to know that certain furniture items should be denoted as "oversized", and why the crew had no one to take apart the furniture as indicated in the contract? I tried to clear this up with you the day of the "first move", however after phone calls to you on the day of the move with no response, I'm not sure what my options were. I acknowledge that I added a dining table and benches to the move, I fully expected to be charged to bring them, I also acknowledge that a bookshelf was not included in your estimate, again, fully expect to pay for that. But please advise why if these were the only extra items, a second moving truck was required? Please also explain why much more than this was left for the second move. Please provide a inventory of where the estimate was exceeded and with what items. The moving crew claimed the truck could hold cubic feet, the estimate provided was for square feet. Are you saying that these items took up more than square feet? Also if you will read back through the correspondence I ok the move, but ask someone to call before charging my card. This was so someone could explain to me how the square feet between the estimate and the moving date inexplicably doubled. Again you didn't do that. At the very least, detail for me what items made up the additional square feet (the difference between the initial estimate (843), the size of the truck (1250), and the "Extra CF" (450) item on the second quote. I am making a good faith offer to split the cost of the "2nd move" with you. Please consider this. At the very least, your estimate was off tremendously, I can not be expected to know how many CF a bed or linen box equals. If all my items are listed, I assume you got the CF correct.

Shleppers has still not delivered my furnitureI am writing this as of September *** I moved in to my apartment on August *** I have been without my property for a full month and am now doubting whether my furniture will be delivered this afternoon as I was promised it would be. Shleppers gave me a window of between 3-PMIt is now 4:30, and I cannot reach anyone at the company who will give me a straight answer as to when my items will arriveI am told that there is a mechanical issue with a truck, which is what I was told weeks ago as the first reason for delayEither the company has an antiquated fleet of trucks, or this is a common lie they tell customers. Next, I am owed a FULL refund, which Shleppers has not agreed to. I will not mark this issue resolved until I receive my furniture and a FULL refund. Thank you,

Proposed Resolution: - The two pieces the customer is claiming were not found - our team did a thorough search and we were unable to locate them As a result, the customer made an arrangement with our employees see #2. - The customer made an arrangement with Chris, one of
our employees, to deliver the remainder of her items (second delivery) at NO cost to the customer as a settlement for the claimed missing itemsYou can confirm this information with MsAnderson, who spoke to Chris on numerous times during this arrangementOur company would like to be released for these two items since we complied by providing additional services to the customer at no cost. - As a good will settlement, we would like to offer the customer $(as requested) for the snack tableIf accepted, we will send her a settlement release and finalize the claim

Please note, this is our proposed resolution. 1.) As far as damages to items, as we explain in all of our quotes based on industry regulations a shipment is covered only by $per LBS per article in the event it is damaged during the move there for we offered $accordinglyWe are
offering now $as a final offerWe do advise as well of other options to purchase insurance from insurance companies2.) As far as the items in Storage- Currently Due are months of storage payment at $plus tax per month totaling $plus taxWe are willing to wave it off.3.) As far as delivering the items currently in storage- We are willing to deliver these items for no charge to ** *** with in the Bronx, either to her home or another storage facilitythis is value at our minimum rate of $(waved) however NOT later than 2/**/2016 Once accepted out customer service manager will contact MS Anselme to coordinate

In response to customer *** *** claim, based off coverage option chosen the claim was settlement was increased. At this time we would like to offer customer *** *** $as full and final settlement offer

We apologize for the frustration of the unexpected 2nd moving day added due to additional itemsAt this time we would like to offer you $as a full and final offerPlease contact us at *** Thank you

Shleppers Moving
& Storage cares very much about the integrity of its clients, moves and
sales processDuring this move in question, the customer was explained
everything in detail and confirmed the additional services and related costs by
signing off on the new agreement for the second
dayThis is further supported
by his two unsuccessful attempts at chargebacks on his *** cardWe followed
the proper process for move day increases and the customer agreed to everything
in writing on the 1st day of move that turned into a day moveIt is unfortunate that this is the manner in which this is being
handled but all services were provided as stated and billed as required and
agreed to by the customer

Final Settlement: 1. Shleppers are offering a final settlement at the amount of $3,000.00, plus repairs of selected items that can be repaired, and we will issue the check and refund immediately upon acceptance of this settlement2. We would like to bring to your attention that the customer is being offered compensation valued more than double of what the contract entitles for3. The customer did not pur*** additional coverage; hence the coverage included in the move, at no extra charge to the customer, is coverage for loss and property damage of household goods at a maximum of cents ($0.60) per pound per article under Terms and Conditions, Section 1A of their contract. 4. We have also offered previously countless times to conduct repairs and we are still offering that in addition to the amount of $3,5. The customer is insisting to make its own determination about the scope of the damages, and if it will be repaired or pur***dShleppers have sent a highly professional carpenter to the customer’s house in order to assess the damages, his view from a professional stand point was much different than the customer’s6. Furthermore, should the customer would have pur***d Full Value Protection, and they did not, even then, the mover has the option to either repair, replace or pay for the cost of such replacement 7. Shleppers have acknowledged that there are been some damages while the move was conducted, but have immediately offered several remedies in a very generous and courteous way , and expect the customer to be reasonable and realistic , so we can finalize this matter

As
previously uploaded contract shows Shleppers actually charges LESS than the
actual estimate, the original price quote included a shuttle feeShleppers
called to discuss moving issues to try and resolve customer’s language was
inappropriate and disrespectful

We have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Total cost of all services (storage in 2005-and 2011-and four moves in/out during these periods) from this Company (Shleppers Holdings LLC) paid by our family to this company, in fact, exceeds 35,dollarsThus, reference only to one time move cost of 1,doesn't reflect all financial gains which this company made from us as their customersShleppers commissioned an independent assessment of all damage incurred from both storage (! - Persian silk carpets cannot be eaten by moth during the move!) and move from another company - All Furniture Services LLC ( tel N: ***, Service Ticket * * ***, December 2016)According to this independent inspection it came out that only the repair of one damaged furniture item (replacement of broken glass in an expandable designer glass table) would cost around $We have also to note that the full estimate of all costs of repair and/or replacement of broken or damaged furniture items, as it was calculated by "All Furniture Services LLC" unfortunately has been never shared or, at least verbally or by email discussed with us by the "Shleppers".
We never rejected the full value protection option but rather have been assured that "Shleppers" provide good quality service and has its own insurances in different purposes or, at least, can repair damaged items (what they did in during our previous move out of their storage).

[Your Answer Here]
The final amount was not less than agreed amountI ended up paying more than originally agreedI feel that due to the move date being pushed back a day and then the miscommunication on the part of the movers that I was set back by six hours before even leaving, I should not be liable to pay the cost of the other moving company that came in and assisted the moving company because they did not send a shuttle van to do the move
