As a result of our request, [redacted] determined the account was opened as a result of Identity Theft. [redacted] has recalled the account and no future contact will occur as a result of their recall. We apologize for any inconvenience our contact may have caused Ms. [redacted]. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, Although THEY did call me more than 1 time on both home and business lines. Per Revdex.com guidelines I was unable to put name of supposed account holder/ personal identifying info in the complaint.

2015. We performed a Bankruptcy scrub on the account and coded the account as bankrupt. This activity occurred prior to any written notice or calls having been made. According to our records, we have not had any contact with Mr. [redacted] in association with his [redacted] Credit account ending in [redacted]. Should he have information that evidences the contrary, we would appreciate it being forwarded to us as soon as possible so that we can perform a more detailed investigation. Sincerely, Stephen M. we are confused by his statements that the account is in dispute and he requires validation. During our telephone conversation with him on April 27, 2016, he advised us he had attempted to log on our payment portal website to make a payment and fully discussed the account and how it came to a negative balance with our client [redacted], Inc. We must further disagree with his allegations that we have placed excessive calls or that he has called ACI several times to request validation. These claims are not supported by our account notes or phone records. As part of our investigation, we forwarded a copy of this complaint to [redacted], Inc. At this time we have cease all activity on the account. We suggest Mr. [redacted] contact our client if he requires additional information regarding this account or wants to establish a payment arrangement, Sincerely, Stephen M. I [redacted] understand the whole situation, just that everything that is going around in the world today I felt threaten by a voicemail that they have left me. Inc. and requested they initiate a fraud investigation on the account. As a result of our request and [redacted]’s investigation, the account was determined to be a case of ID Theft. [redacted] has recalled the account and all future activity has ceased as a result of this investigation. We appreciate the request for validation, however we are unable to honor this request. Our telephone call was the result of skip tracing. We apparently called an incorrect telephone number and removed that number once we were advised it was incorrect for our customer. The person contacting refused to confirm if they were the correct party. As a result, we would not forward validation for a correct party until we were able to confirm we were speaking with our customer. Otherwise we would poetically disclose information to a wrong party. ACI was not phishing or performing any other nefarious tactics. We simply called a number and found it was incorrect. We apologize for any inconvenience.
