Hello [redacted],I would like to re-open this complaint as they have not followed through and credited my account for all three charges which they emailed me confirmation of.  You will notice the dates they sent the notification of reimbursements.  They sent all three (12.97 for original shipping, 89.73 for [redacted], and 88.28 for [redacted]) right away at the same time.  I waited for the payments to reach my account (hence not hearing from me in 7 days).  The 12.97 was reimbursed right away but the two larger amounts were never reimbursed to my credit card.  I will send the third email showing their intent to reimburse the 12.97 (which they did), so you can compare the dates. Just another game this company is playing.  Another aspect of this complaint I would like to add is the product showed no results what so ever.  They said I had not used it long enough so I continued to use while I waited to hear on the complaint with no benefits seen.  This has been a total sham from the start.I appreciate all of your help![redacted])

Review: I placed in order some skin care products informed by a pop-up advertisement of the company (DermaBright) in the internet, while I am working on a trusted website.

All they said was paying $5.95 shipping fee for two free skin care products. No information for terms and conditions or return policy were informed at all. Because I know there are usually so many scam advertisements, I thoroughly reviewed the offer from this company. I swear there were no those pieces of information on that pop-up web.

Since I received the two products, however, they charged $89.73 to my credit card for the products without any notice. And next month, they continued to send those products and charged to my credit card with $89.## for each product. I called them to reimburse these charges, but they only did so for those shipped recently. They insisted they showed information for the terms and conditions, but again I very carefully read the web and found no info about them.

This is an absolutely fraud and needs to be clarified. Money cannot be earned in such mean way.Desired Settlement: Many back to my credit card. (total of $89.73).

Review: On 12-6-14 I attempted to book a flight on Southwest Airlines.com. I must have accidently typed the URL incorrectly and was a directed to a site that looked like an official Southwest Airlines. The site asked if I would be willing to take a brief survey in exchange they would provide a small gift for my loyalty as a good customer. I agreed, took the survey and then was given a choice of several gifts. I chose one gift and another provided my credit card for shipping and handling. They then sent another gift (Lavish Skin Care) even though I declined that gift. On 12-21-14 my credit card was charged $ 88.28 and for the Derma Bright and $ 89.73 for the Lavish Skincare which I declined from the start. I contacted Derma Bright Customer SErvice requesting a refund but they declined. I then contacted my credit card company and requested their help.Desired Settlement: A refund to my credit card of $ 88.28.

Review: I ordered the item as advertised (a sample cost for shipping and HANDLING) for a 30 day trial less than $5.00. Then I received a shipment for another box and charged $89.73 for the sample and another month supply. When I called the number on the shipment the number was discontinued. I called our Credit Card number to get their number. When I did get in contact with them all I got was the run around with no satisfaction. I feel that they are using very small print to mislead people into buying a product that is overpriced and useless. In large print they said they would contact me in 30 days, in small print (if it was there) I was to contact them in 15 days. I have 20/20 vision and I saw this nowhere. I don't believe I should have to pay for something that is useless.Desired Settlement: Refund to Credit Card full amount.

Review: free trial offer Had to give bank card to pay for shipping,$4.95 Did not receive product. They took $88.88 out of checking without permisstion. I told them did not receive product and to give my money back. Checked with postoffice they said no pacage delivered by postman. They refuse to give my money back. Bank even sent them a letter. They said if I did a three way call with the bank they would give my money back. We did the three way call tnd they still did not give my money back. they said it was a 14day free trial nothing said in websight and nothing said about $88.88. They said had to send product back I said I would if I had received the product.. Need to check into this fraud..Said a 14day free trial took money out in 12daysDesired Settlement: refund and change there way of business make there comercial and offer more clear and quit frauding customers.

Review: After I had bought a product in another site ([redacted]), when I landed the site, then the site have a questionaire, said that I was the lucky user, after I finished the questionaire( the questionaire for the victoria's secret), then it said I can get a product only paying the shipping fee. then I select the product. then I saw my bank card delect the shipping fee, only $4.95. when I finish this order, the site have another product page, when I click it, it changed my order of $3.95, because it is a mislead click ,so I called the number to return, but it is no answering. I thought it is only $3.95, so I did not call again.

But after 15 days, my bank card delete $88.28.Desired Settlement: I hope they refund me $88.28

Review: I called because of the $88.28 charge to my bank account I found on 2/26/2015. I spoke to several persons regarding the ad for DermaBright on 2/26/15 and 2/27/2015.

Everyone I spoke to insisted the advertisement for this product had the terms and conditions on the ad. I looked very carefully for the terms and conditions on all pages of the ad and did not see any. I never was told by those I spoke with what page the terms and conditions were on, and I asked for this information.

I spoke to an [redacted] and a [redacted] hung up on me after telling me that she could not refund my $88.28. [redacted], said he could not refund my money. Another person just kept arguing with me that the terms and conditions were on the ad and they would not refund my $88.28.Desired Settlement: I feel I should receive a refund of $88.28 as I did not authorize this to be taken out of my bank account.

This companies business practices are deceiving.

Regards,

Review: I saw an ad online offering free samples of two different cosmetic creams (only charge was shipping). I thought I'd try the product since it only cost a few dollars for shipping. I received the free samples and then didn't give much thought about them.... UNTIL I was checking my bank account statement and saw charges of $88.28 for Derma Bright and $89.73 for Lavish Skin. I called Lavish Skin immediately, and they said I should have read the (long) terms and conditions section print, because what I actually purchased was an on-going subscription that charges this (high) amount on-the-regular. I had checked the advertisement OVER and OVER, and it didn't say anything about this. The advertisement only advertised the idea of trying out a free sample of the Derma Bright and Lavish Skin cream. It also said NO RISK upon paying the minor shipping charges.

Not only did I get charged these two $89 fees for a subscriptions that I was tricked into purchasing, but I also NEVER even received the shipments / boxes of cream I unwillingly paid for. I still only have the free-samples (and haven't opened them). I do not even want the shipments after learning of the fraudulent ad. I was so offended, I wouldn't touch their products. If that's the way they treat their customers, imagine how they treat their products / ingredients. They can't be good for you!Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. I was mislead by the joint Lavish Skin Care / Derma Bright advertisement and feel DermaBright should give me my money back, and perhaps also be investigated in regard to ethics and other misleading ads they may have run with lavish skin care. There are complaints all over the internet (ripoffreport.com), and so I know that others have experienced the same issue. $88.28 for a FREE sample (combined total is close to $200 if you count Lavish Skin Care's charge) is a lot to pay, especially for my current financial state, and I would like that money back so I can spend it on more trust-worthy companies or on life's essentials, like food, rent, and other necessities.

Dear [redacted],

Review: originally I had requested two "samples" that were advertised online for skin care products. I called in April to find out why I was being billed for 88 dollars and 95 dollars or about that since I had onlu receive samples as advertised originally and never ordered the full product I had not even had time to try the product. I was then informed that the so-called " little samples" were being turned into the product . it was the original samples . no other shipment received. I cancelled the so called samples immediately with [redacted] and [redacted] got an ra and returned it.. they never cancelled it. I now have 4 boxes of this stuff UNOPENED and they have refused to take it back. Now I am informed I should have cancelled it with someone else. or more people. they were samples together and now they are not. So I was told TOO BAD WHAT A SCAM HOW DO YOU CHANE A TINY SAMPLE INTO THE REAL PRODUCT. I was never nor did it say it was the entire product only that I was requested two trial samples , only pay shipping which I did. Notified [redacted] on July 22, that the stuff was making me ill. she told that I was a liar I believe ,and did not accept it. I informed her to please write it down, and that she was going to be a witness. she still did not believe me. I have a bad "autonomic system" and have major reaction problems unusual to most individuals, mostly my body does whatever it wants whenever it wants. I am now currently working with [redacted], THEY ARE TRYING TO COME UP WITH SOME KIND OF HELP FOR ME, there is no cure, no explanation as to why or what and I can no longer use any kind of products for the body, causing major breakouts, discoloring, black and blue, and profuse bleeding from nowhere. I fail to understand why I have to keep a product that makes me ill and pay for it on top of it. I don't see why this company is so desperate that they have to punish an elderly sick woman who has just buried her sole child due to rare disease also at [redacted]. SHAME ON [redacted]Desired Settlement: just let me return the unopened products and credit my account please . I have never signed up for any automatic monthly anythings and never will because of the problems you get into. you no longer can trust doing business with a company anymore. They no longer possess honor, truthfulness, integrity and honesty. SHAME on this company.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered Lavish(paid $4.95 for shipping)and Derma Bright(paid $3.95 for shipping) on 12/18/20014. On 1/2/2015 I received a charge for $88.28 fromDerma Bright. I called them to tell them I did not order that nor receivethe product. I was informed by Lindy, supervisor, that the products that Ireceived were not "Trail Size" but were for regular products which was on"Trail Basis"; she claimed the terms and conditions were: if I did not cancel within 14 days that I would be charged the full amount of $88.28. Ireplied that there was no information about that on the advertisement, onlyrushed order for "free trial", paying for shipping only. She claimed it was on the web site so I went to the web site and the terms and conditionswere posted, but I was not able to access it until I entered a "rush order". She said I could send it back with a RMA of[redacted] and would receive a credit of $78.33 with $9.95 being applied to return to stock charge. I have to pay for return postage. To me this is a scam to end all scams. I see on the internet now that it seems to be prevalent, and I want to add my name in hopes that things likethis can be stopped. To me the advertisement was misleading unless the terms and conditions were read first. Also, I want terms and conditions available to see and read before posting an order.Desired Settlement: I am sending the products back and want a full return of cost: $88.28 plusshipping of $4.95 and $3.95 for a total refund of $97.18

Regards,

[redacted]Derma Bright has refunded the balance of $9.95, and it has posted to my credit card account so I am satisfied that the original charge has been cleared. Instant Skin Renewal(Lavish) sent an email indicating they will refund $9.95 balance, but it has not posted to my credit card account as of today. I would like for the complaint for Lavish to continue since it was advertised with the Derma Bright product and came up for purchase from the Derma Bright web site when I bought it. When the $9.95 is posted to my credit card account, I will notify you and that complaint will be resolved. Thank you for your help.[redacted]

Review: I ordered Lavish(paid $4.95 for shipping)and Derma Bright(paid $3.95 for shipping) on 1/1/2015. It was advertised that I could order the sample of their product for free and that I only had to pay shipping. On 1/15/2015 I received a charge for $88.28 fromDerma Bright and another charge of $89.73 from SkinRenewal(Lavis). I called and was hung up on the first time. I called back and got this very RUDE rep. The rep said that if I don’t call within 14 days, they will charge me a full amount. So I asked if I called with in 14 days, then they will not charge? And he said yes, this is a FRAUD they’re charging you only if you don’t call, which was supposed to be FREE sample. I do not recall agreeing to anything like that and to my knowledge I was not given the option of accepting or not accepting. I’ve seen many people with the same complaints about this company. I was skeptical when seeing this offer, but I was very careful trying to see if there were any fine prints, and I don't recall seeing anything like they mentioned. This company is absolutely a FRAUD and needs to be terminated.Desired Settlement: I'd liked the company to refund me the $88.28 & $89.73 that were charged and cancel all future charges on my account.

Review: This company mislead me by advertising that I could order a sample of their product for "free" and that I only had to pay shipping and handling. I was subsequently billed 88.28 for the same product that they claimed was a "free" sample. I contacted their office about the charge and they referred to their Terms of agreement. I do not recall agreeing to any terms of agreement and to my knowledge I was not given the option of accepting or not accepting. I have since reviewed their web site and it also indicates that I had 14 days to cancel the supposed agreement. I contacted them on 2/10/2015 about the charge and that was when I was made aware that the term of agreement is that I would be billed 88.28 for a sample product that was advertised as free. Additionally, my records and my bank records indicate that I ordered this product on 1/28/2015 which means that I had until 2/11/2015 to cancel. They have informed me that their records indicate that the order was placed on 1/26/2015. I do not think my bank records and mine are incorrect. This company needs to be investigated for fraud.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full amount of 88.28 since the product advertisement indicated the product is "free".

Review: I never authorized derma bright to charge my credit card

I never agreed to purchasing any skin products from derma bright. When saw my email that was charged [redacted] for shipping and handling. I called to inquire and was given the option to cancel (since there was not an option to speak to someone and just want to put an end to whatever else they may charge me). To my surprise , I was charged another [redacted] for the cost of the product? The robotic voice was very difficult to understand at [redacted]. There was no option to leave message, did not tell me to call back at normal business hour....a few minutes later, I got a cancellation notification email signed by [redacted]

How could a business charge me for a shipping fee and product fee when I never knew of their existence, and never saw or touched the product?

The order number supposedly [redacted]

I called my credit card company and was told since the charges are pending, they can't do anything yetDesired Settlement: I hope [redacted] and derma bright do the right thing and refund the credit to my account and not to scam another consumer

Review: The product is offered as a free samle plus shipping charge of [redacted]. Terms are not seen until after your credit card is submitted, then you find that if you dont cancel within the month, you automatically get another one at the price of [redacted]. I have been charged for the second shipment that has not been received. Furthermore, the sample which I received gave me a rash under both my eyes.Desired Settlement: To get rid of false advertisement on Facebook etal.

Review: I responded to an online advertisement for a free trial of two skin care products which were to have been used together. In order to receive the products, I need only pay the postage on each: $3.95 for the DermaBright and $4.95 for [redacted], which I did by credit card. That occurred on 4/7/15. I did not read anywhere in the process the full cost of either product if you chose to buy them after the 30-day free trial supply, nor did I read that the products would be charged in full -- plus you would be put on an automatic renewal order if you didn't respond and return them within 14 days. This is what I was told when I called the company to protest the $88.28 charge on my credit card on 4/22/15.

I read the small print, and I would never have agreed to this situation knowingly. Never. I believe this is a scam, as any reputable company would have enough customers who would order and reorder their products if they were satisfied with the results so that they wouldn't have to resort to this 14-day approval and automatic reorder nonsense.

When I called the company, they insisted that I had agreed to their terms when I ordered, which I said I had not. They refused to refund my money, but said they'd give me 1/2 back if I didn't notify my credit card company, and they said they'd cancel the auto reorder and send me an email confirming both. The email I received only stated the $44.14 credit, so I called back to request the email confirmation of the auto reorder cancellation, and was told that it was "automatically generated" and I should be receiving it "soon". Not received. Also -- the charges on my credit card are for "MWE*MAGICWRINKLEERASER" rather than DermaBright and "ISR*INSTANTSKINRENEWAL" rather than [redacted].Desired Settlement: I feel that a refund of the full $88.28 erroneously charged to my card is in order. Also, I want the automatic re-order to be cancelled before another charge is made to my account, and I want an email confirmation from the company to that effect.

Dear [redacted]

This DermaBright along with Lavish Skin cheated us out of almost $400.00. We want a complete refund. They charged $89.95 each for an order that should have been free just the cost of s&h. Then they have without authorization charged the bank account again for another order for this month, for $89.95 X 2 for these product. Please help us get our money back! We want a 100% refund for all monies taken by these two companies for these two products!!!

Review: The company offered for the cost of shipping only to try 2 products. The advertisement said the two products needed to be used together. I called to request to return the product as I was not aware I would be charged $89.73 on 4/4/2015 for [redacted] and $88.28 for the [redacted] on 4/3/2015. I was told by customer service that this is a contract that I signed and what they sent was not samples but actually a months supply. This product is misrepresented on the internet and these costs are not clearly laid out to the person placing the order.Desired Settlement: I would like to return both products and receive a credit for both products.
