Review: I was sent an add through my email for a facial cream. The ad stated that you would get a sample for the cost of shipping. I received a very small jar of cream and was billed 88.28 plus the shipping and added to a "club" to receive on-going shippment of products I did not request and do not want. I received a second shippment and was billed an additional $89.73. I called the company and told them that I never asked for the second shippment and did not want to join their "club". I requested that they refund my money and cancel all future orders and shippment. They said that they would cancel my membership and all future orders but that I had to pay for the second surum which I did not order. They have totally misrepresented themselves and their product. This is a big scam and you are left paying for items that you did not order and do not what. They said I had 14 days to send it back and I told them that I thought it was the law that you got 30 days to return products if you are not satisfied. This is a total misrepresentation of their claims and they should be stopped for milking money from people. Any assistance in this mattere would be greatly appreicated.Desired Settlement: I would like them to recieve a lower mark on their business rating to warn people and it would be nice to have the cost of the second product that was automatically mailed to me without my premission.

Total = 89.73.

Review: If this complaint looks familiar it is because, a company called [redacted] was a part of my first complaint. Upon research these two companies are located in the same building. I did a survey and on finishing the survey, I was offered a gift. I clicked on one gift but I ended up with two. Since it said I was only responsible for the shipping I did not complain since it was just 3.95. Fourteen days later my account was being deducted approx. $190.00. I proceeded to contact both these companies and they inform me that when I used my credit card, I was automatically signing up to there terms and conditions. Which I was not aware of. They told me I can cancel now and no other charges will be made. I offered to send back the product and they just kept repeating that no more charges will occur. I sent a request to Revdex.com for one amt. charged by [redacted] and that has been refunded. The amount I am requesting back is $88.28.Desired Settlement: Refund of $88.28

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Problem: I launch this complaint a month ago. I received a reply from Revdex.com that the company would refund my money back into my account. Today is the 2/25/2015 and no money has been returned to me. The complaint is closed and assumed that the matter has been resolved. The initial complaint was given ID#[redacted].I would like to know how to proceed with this matter.Desired Outcome: $88.28

Review: I was ordering Xmas presents on Kohls website and a survey popped up stating that if I completed the survey, I would receive a gift valued at at least $85. I completed the survey and then it said they would send the gifr but I had to pay shipping. I input my credit card number to pay for shipping and not only did they take out shipping charges for Dermabright, they also charged me shipping for a product called Lavish Skin. I did not even authorize them to charge me for shipping on this product. The next thing I knew, they put 2 charges on my credit card that are to be automatically billed each month in the amounts of $89.73 and 88.28. I think the charges are from the same company but they try to act like they are in 2 different states. I have tried to call them about credits to my account but when I put in my infomration, there is a recording that says the account has been cancelled and then disconnects the call.Desired Settlement: I want both of these charges refunded to my credit card.

Review: I have cancelled these products from the very beginning, and they continue to send them. Finally, I asked them to erase my existence and erase my address from their files. Still I receive products I do not want.Desired Settlement: I have the products here and I do not want them. PLEASE PLACE AN IMMEDIATE STOP TO SENDING FURTHER PRODUCTS TO THIS ADDRESS. IF POSSIBLE A RETURN OF THE PRODUCTS, BUT A STOPPAGE IN THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!!

Review: On Jan, 24, 2015 I ordered a sample of DermaBright Advanced Firming Eye Cream from a pop up ad online (which came after a partner Lavish Skin's sample ad). I was charged $1.95 and it was sent out on Jan 26. The USPS website says it was delivered on Jan 29. On Feb. 10, I was charged $89.73, and I was made aware of this only by an overdraft notice from my bank on Feb 11 for which I was socked $35.00 because of this and Lavish's exorbitant unexpected charges against my debit account.

I contacted DermaBright and their operator argued that this was a fourteen day trial period for the 1/2 ounce sample, before which time I was to call and cancel a recurring shipment and billing for this (I never saw any such notice in the ad/ads). Also since I had opened the container, I could not return for a refund.

I contended that even if the ad had said that, I could not have even received the product to try before Jan. 29 which is only 12 days.

After much bantering back and forth, he offered me a 75% refund which they processed on Feb 12 for me in the amount of $66.21 and canceled the future orders.Desired Settlement: Refund of the other 25% which is $22.07 plus $35.00 I was charged for the overdraft their charges caused me. I will return the product if they desire. Total amount requested back is $57.07.

I also think they should be forced to disclose plainly and obviously that this is the first of potentially unending shipments of this expensive stuff, and that a call to a distinct phone number is required by a stated date or the customer will be charged.

Review: Their advertisement is a real fraud. I ordered (apparently) free trial samples 3 weeks ago and I got them after 9 days! Last night, I was shocked when I noticed that I was charged by this company $89.73 for 1 and $88.28 for the other. I called them back today and they told me that it is mentioned in the terms and conditions of their website that you have to cancel your subscription within 14 days from the date you placed an order (not the time after you receive the trial product) otherwise you will be charged for full size product. They do not bold this important restriction clearly when you are going to order the sample. It is hidden somewhere and you have to find it and they will keep charging your account $200 for product you did not order nor have received!

So, I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money and they told me that I should return the sample in sealed condition! That means I can return one of them and refund $89.73 (still pay another $5 for shipping) but for the other one which is unsealed they will not accept it. I swear I did not even use that sample, I just opened the seal and they refuse it. Finally, they told me that they can refund just 75% of that order!

In sum, It was a huge waste of money to me (as an student), I paid for shipping (like $10) one time and I have to pay another, say $5, to return one product and I lost 25% of the second order that I never placed! In my view, they are real SCAMS!Desired Settlement: I just want my $89.73 plus $88.28 back into my account! Why I should be charged again for shipping to return just a FREE SAMPLE and what s the reason to be charged for the order you never placed??????

Review: This company advertised a free trial product for $3.95. They then took a charge of $88.00 from my account overdrawing my account incurring overdraft charges. They say I signed up for a program for this skin care product to have it sent each month at a cost of $88.;00 per month. I would not do this as I am a senior living on a limited income and could not afford $88.00 per month for a skin care product. They say I had 14 days to contact them. I never agreed to that or anything else other than the free trial @ $3.95 which I paid for. However, I did try to contact them to complain about the product and how it has burned the cheeks of my face and created large boil like eruptions on my forehead, temples and chin. I would actually like to sue them for an inferior and dangerous product but cannot afford it. But, am seriously considering contacting the media and any senior advocacy group that will listen to my problem and concern as I truly believe this is a fraud purported against seniors in that it is a skin cream for anti-aging product therefore also senior abuse because of the damage to my skin. My bank manager tried to reason with them after she was finally able to get through to them. She also was told the line was disconnected and had to try several times. She told them what a difficult financial situation they had caused for me by overdrawing my account $77.00 and leaving me nothing until I get my SS Check on April 3rd. I was not able to get a prescription my doctor had called in that morning (3/25/15) and no others for the rest of the month. She told them I had no money left for the month and they told her that was not their problem and finally said they would refund 50% which stills leaves me in arrears $44.00 and no money for any necessities. The Bank Manager talked with approximately 4 people they all basically told her the same thing. "It was not their problem" These people should not be allowed to be in business. This is definitely a scam.Desired Settlement: Refund all of the money they deducted from my account which is a total of $92.45 which includes the original $3.95 for the free trial. The product is inferior and has caused burns to my face. I am not certain that I do not have to see a doctor for my face and or eyes which are still bothering me. If this is the case I will be asking for a great deal more for a settlement.

Review: I ordered two skin products that I understood needed to be used simultaneously (at the same time) because they were advertised by one website. This product is ebdorsed by [redacted]. The product in question(Derma Bright) was ordered on 3/03/15 and arrived on 3/08/15. The second product([redacted]) was ordered on 3/03/15 but arrived on 3/31/15. I thought I ordered these products for the shipping costs of $ 4.05 and $3.95 respectivelyme to find out the 14 day period was for a free trial basis and if I didn't call them by the end of the 14 days I was charged for the full price of the product $89.73 and $88.28 on credit card bill with the entry on 3/17/15. The 14 days started on the day it was ordered not on the day I received the product. The [redacted] Company erased the charges of $89.73, but the Derma Bright refused. I hadn't even received the product to try it for the 14 days, before the 14 day period expired. When I called [redacted]. at Derma Bright she said she could not help me in recovering my $88.28. She actually hung up on me. I, understanding that the products should be used together, did not have the opportunity to do that. This is a scam and is not on the up and up. I would caution people not to order these products. I offered to send the Derma Bright product back to the company, but [redacted]. refused and said that was impossible.Desired Settlement: I offered to return the product, but because of false advertising, I just want my charge of $88.28 removed from my credit card statement.

Review: I purchased an eye cream and only paid for the shipping and handling. I thought it was a 14 supply and if I liked the cream I would purchase another cream for full amount. I did not see the total purchase price amount when I was online. Today I saw my online bank account summary and there was two charges one for $89.73 and another for $88.28 on March 20 and 23. I called the company at 1-877-599-2577 to get those charges credited to my account. I was told those were valid charges and the company could not refund my money. I was very upset and hung up I called my bank to let them know I did not authorize these transactions. My bank made a stop payment for future recurring payments which is great cause I do not want any merchandise from Derma Bright or [redacted] Care. My complaint has to do with getting my money back because I did not sign up for a recurring amount to be debited from my bank account. I did cancel after the bank told me that I had to cancel before I made a claim and the bank could help me only if future debits were deducted from my bank. When I bought those creams I was told that they are valid charges and the company could not refund my money because I did sign up for them to deduct the amounts stated above when I agreed to the terms and conditions which I never saw. I hope you can help me with this situation because honestly I feel I was robbed of my money. Thank You [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want a refund and for the website to make clear to all customers in big letters to show that the company will be deducting more money from the customers bank accounts and not just the shipping and handling.

Review: On December 14, 2014 After completing an online survey, I completed an offer for a "free sample" with "just paying shipping and handling" for two products advertised together - Derma Bright and Lavish Face Lotion.

The advertising page and subsequent forms did not indicate there would be any additional charges. After receiving the product several days later, there was nothing accompanying the product to indicate there would be related or reoccurring charges. Incidentally the lotion is subpar and caused irritation around my eyes.

I recently noticed on my banking statement 2 charges for $88.28 and $89.73 for reoccurring shipment of these 2 products, and subsequently found that I had also been charged in December the same prices for those products.

A call to the phone numbers associated with the charges revealed that the initial "free sample" was for a 14-day trial period - which was not sufficiently disclosed in the orders process or during shipment of the product. A representative tried to convince me to stay with the program for a number of discounts, but ultimately told me my account would be canceled.

I feel that the advertising and ordering process were intentionally misleading.Desired Settlement: Full refund of both $88.28 charges ($176.56) Derma Bright Charges.

Review: These companies are sister companies Derma Bright/Lavish Skin and are running a fraudulent offer through Facebook. I unfortunately fell victim to their offer thinking I was getting 2 "free" products for only shipping and handling. No where in the main body of the ad did it state this was a trial and that the shipments would be recurring unless cancelled. Since I did not cancel they charged me a total of 177.73 in December. Unfortunately I did not catch that but have been advised it was for the 2 "free" trials...each no more than 3 ounces each!...Then to[redacted] I was notified that my bank account was overdrawn due to these charges being deducted again for the next shipment. Again, one bottle each....no more than 3 ounces. I immediately called my bank and reported fraudulent activity...now I have to destroy my debit card and wait for a new one plus notify all of my legitimate recurring charges of the new debit card. I then called Derma Bright at 888 501 [redacted] and was told that the package had not shipped and they would refund the current charges. I then called Lavish skin at [redacted] and was told that the package had shipped and I have to get an RMA when it arrives, mail it back at my expense AND pay restocking.. No supervisors are available at either location. I see by research that these 2 companies have been accused of deceptive trade practices in the past and just close down and change their names. I am a senior citizen, disabled on a fixed income. Please look into this as they are not forthcoming in their ads. I feel a suitable resolution would be a full and complete refund of all monies I have paid these companies in December and JanuaryDesired Settlement: complete refunds for the months of Dec and January

Review: On Feb 9, 2015 I thought I authorized a free sample of Derma Bright and Lavish Skin Cream for the cost of shipping. This is one online site. Today Feb 24, 2015 I received a call from Visa Fraud asking me about charges for $89.00 and $88.42 from 2 different companies. I did not authorize these charges. Visa advised me to call the companies and request refunds. I have called each. I received a 50% refund from each company and they adamantly refused a full refund even when I said that I would return the still unused products. Each company has closed my account. That means that each company will still have over $40. or over $80. in total in profit that I did not authorize. I also noticed that my cr is the same for both companies. They say that there was a legal binding contract that specified these charge amounts for a "free trial" after 14 days. I explained that there was no clear and vivid notation on the website when I visited that informed me that there would be further charges. If I had known I would not have authorized what I thought were free samples. Furthermore each of the 2 packing lists or invoices stated that the total price was $3.95 for Derma Bright and $1.95 for Lavish Care. So I had no idea that further charges would be made. I would like the Revdex.com be aware that many women may well be taken in by this legal maneuver. I informed each of the companies that I would be filing a Revdex.com complaint.Desired Settlement: It would be very nice to have a full refund rather than a 50% refund. I assume that I received a 50% refund because is within the legalities of the law. I also assume that they have 2 companies so that the remaining amount is under $50. and under the wire of fraud as well as to make it harder to deal with and complain about. However I would like to point out that many women could very well be taken in by their website and the profit could be substantial and all just within the legal line of the law. Its dishonest and unethical. If they have a valid product it should be able to stand on its own without resorting to legal fraud.
