I purchased dermaset targeted wrinkle repair system (two tubes and two serums) on *** 21st 2020 for $328.80 on my American Express card. Product IDXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Product SKU 103. On the first page of their website it states "effective research based skin care that keeps it's promise 100% guaranteed". On their featured products page it states " try the highest quality anti-wrinkle treatment with a money back guarantee". All the features products showed discount options. I purchased two of the wrinkle repair systems advertised as best deal. I tried the products for a week and my skin became dry and wrinkled and my eye area red and swollen. I contacted the company and they told me my opened items were nonrefundable and any discounted items were nonrefundable. How can you try a product without opening it and how can they promise a money back guarantee on all their featured discounted products and then say discounted products are nonrefundable. Definitely false advertising. I have emailed and spoken to a representative over the phone, but they have been rude and unhelpful. I even sent them scanned copies of their website with the guarantee promises but they continue to say open or discounted products are nonrefundable and told me to read their return policy. There it does say opened or discounted products can not be returned but that is contradictory to what they state on the website.

Desired Outcome

A refund for return of the products. And to prevent this from happening to other people I don't think they should be allowed to make false statements on their website about product satisfaction and money back guarantees.

Dermaset Response • Jul 23, 2020

Dear Revdex.com,

The products were the finial sale and the products were discontented 50%. When it is purchased for the full price, than you the merchandise is returnable for full refund. We give special promotion, which was applied to the order, and as our Terms and Conditions states, the products are not returnable or refundable.

Thank you for your assistance, M. Sharp

Customer Response • Jul 24, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did not receive a 50 percent discount as they say. I did open up their website and it looks like they have removed all the huge advertising stating 100% satisfaction guaranteed and 100% money back guarantee. Because of that the consumer would have to click on the return policy link to read their real return policy. That is fair enough. However, when I purchased the products every page showed a satisfaction and money back guarantee even though this was stated on top of the discounted products which is all their products. Because I purchased these products when they were intentionally misleading the consumer regarding returns I would still like to return the products for a refund. I did attach pictures of there misleading adds in my initial filing.

Dermaset Response • Jul 28, 2020

Dear Revdex.com,

The client paid $328.00 instead of $548.00. We are now running the promotion.

Thank you for your assistance,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They advertised 100% satisfaction guaranteed and 100% money back guaranteed. I had a terrible reaction to the product. They offered discounts on everything, and said the best and most popular purchase was to buy two sets. This gave you a bigger discount. How could I possibly be satisfied with them refusing to give money back, if not for the opened items, but for the unopened ones. it isn't a clearance item. It is the same product they sell everyday on the website. I did comment in my last response that it looks like they have removed the guarantee promises from their current ads which is great. However, I purchased when they were false advertising. I want to send the products back for a refund as they promised on their website at the time of my purchase. Because they have removed these guarantees, it make me think they were advised that they could get in trouble. I appreciate everything the Revdex.com has done. But, you also gave me other agencies I could contact if this wasn't resolved. If they do not agree to give me my money back I will reach out to these other agencies. Their ads were set up to mislead consumers and I don't think that should be allowed.

Dermaset Response • Aug 03, 2020

Dear Revdex.com,

We apologize again that client did not read our Terms.

However, the products are not returnable.

Revdex.com, I appreciate your attempt to try and resolve this issue. However, the seller is not willing to resolve. They intentionally lied about their guarantees on their website. And are now using the excuse that the "real" return policy was stated in a Terms and Conditions portion of the website. I this not false advertising and is it not illegal. And know you have done as much as you can to help. Are there other agencies that I can contact that, if not get results for me, maybe do something to ensure this company does not prey on other consumers? Thanks for your help!

Ordered "trial" & wasnt happy, returned but theyre sending me to collections due to me contacting my bank.
I ordered the trial, was not happy so returned it following their exact instructions and contacted my bank to have funds reversed. They then continued telling me that I owed them more than the original amount, adding "handling",etc. when I paid out of pocket to return their own produce. I received an email (attached) stating that because I contacted my bank for my own money that I owe them over $200. I attempted to resolve but they are threatening sending me to collections.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting assistance PRIOR to them falsely sending me to collections.

Dermaset Response • Jul 23, 2020

Dear Revdex.com,

We would have been very happy to have the product back for full refund, if the client did not make the charge-back against our company. As it states in the Terms and Conditions, once the charge-back is initiate the product is not returnable or refundable. The client owes our company $249.00.

Tank you foru your assistance, M. Sharp

Customer Response • Jul 29, 2020

How can I stop them from sending ne to collections? What a scam. They say they "would've" refunded me had I not received funds back from my bank- that in itself is shady. They admit to me returning item but sent it back & want more money than what I originally paid for. This company shouldn't be allowed to operate.

Dear Revdex.com,

We are not a scam, we provide excellent customer service, but the client never asked for it. Instead Client disputed the charge, without reading or following the Terms ad Conditions.

Thank you, M.Sharp

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There was no proposed resolution. They want to send me to collections when I followed the return steps but because I contested with my bank they want to refuse my return, not refunding me and send me to collections, charging me WAY more than what I originally paid?! Where's the resolution in that? I paid for a product that I am not using and them ruining my credit- that is a scam, not excellent c.s.

Dear Revdex.com,

The Terms and Conditions were not followed.

The client contacted our company and asked to return the product. We emailed the return authorization - RMA, on the same day on 3/9/2020. Instead of returning the product, and getting full refund, client disputed the charge. We would been giving full refund, but the client did not return the merchandise and did the charge back for absolutely no reason.

As it states in the Terms and Conditions, once you dispute the charge the product is no longer acceptable or refundable. Thank you for your assistance. M. Sharp

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
On top of getting my money being taken...I was hung up a few times with no offer to discuss...I was robbed..

I learned the hard way from a previous company about "free trials", so I looked closely at the rules of Dermaset. I was very interested in Dermaset's product, so I ordered their "free trial", watching carefully the date I needed to return it if I did not want charged the $179. I loved the product and could definitely tell a difference. Although I *** not necessarily agree with how they market this product, I know I would not have tried it at full price. However, after having the chance to try it before paying the full price, I am thankful I have found a product that works so well. I will be ordering Dermaset again!

www.dermasetcream.com I ordered the trial for $4.95 but cancelled in January. A month later they sent me a second tube. It said in the return policy to send back any used or new tube so I did. They refused the box after it had been clearly opened and sent it back to me, stating that the tube was empty. Now they are charging me for the tube again plus a collection fee. They are not standing behind their policy and they have tampered with the United States mail service. . . Stay away.

I ordered what I thought was a trial size for $4.95 the next month my credit card came with $179 which I did not authorize I couldn't respond.no paper
I received the package there was no paperwork in the Box therefore I couldn't return it I did not authorize $179 to be put on my credit card I tried to talk with them but they were very rude and did not listen I return the package and I haven't heard anything yet I had my credit card company to dispute the purchase

Desired Outcome

They put it in collections and added $40 dispute fee and $10 processing fee I would like this transaction removed from collections

Dermaset Response • Feb 21, 2020

A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. We ship a full size 60 day supply tube containing 2 ounces of cream, the cost of which is $179.00. If the consumer decides to return the unused portion of the tube to us and requests the return instructions within the 30 day time frame, they are given 3 additional weeks to get the product back to us. Once we receive the returned product anytime during the 3 weeks, the customer is not charged.

Ms. ordered the product on 12/03/2019, and received an order confirmation email (to be attached), which also had a link to our terms. The email explicitly states the trial is not a sample. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the term (to be attached).
An email is also sent 10 days before the end of the trial, as a reminder that the trial will end and the customer will be billed $179.00 (to be attached). We even have a 60 day money back guarantee for customers who miss their end date and would still like to return the product for a refund.

Ms. did a dispute with her bank against the $179.00 charge. This resulted in an automatic refund of $179.00, and DermaSet incurred a $40 fee for the disputes. Once a dispute is initiated, the return privileges are revoked, and the customer becomes responsible to pay for the cost of the cream along with all dispute and admin fees (See paragraph 11 of our Terms and Conditions) Ms. now has a total outstanding amount of $229.00 which needs to be cleared promptly. She *** remit payment by check, money order, or credit card by contacting us.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the respond because that is not what the advertisement said I have my record from Bank of America where I paid $4.95 for a trial size I received the trial size there was no information in the package just the tube and nothing else I didn't receive a email or anything all I received was a bill for two hundred and something dollars there was no information about returning it before 30 days or anything that was absolutely no sales receipt invoice or anything in the Box except the product

Ordered free sample: billed for shipping and a first order of the product at full price. I am disputing both charges (cancellation not possible).
On Jan 18. 2020, After checking Revdex.com and realizing I would be billed $4.50 for the shipping of the free sample and 179.xx (full price for the product), I attempted and failed to cancel. My bank could not dispute the charge because it is pending. I will contact the bank again in 24 hours.

Desired Outcome

I will not accept the charge. I have received no merchandise.

Customer Response • Jan 22, 2020

In the last two days both charges were removed from our bank transaction at our request.

They billed my credit card a processing fee of $50.00 6 times on 2/6/2020 after Revdex.com successfully got a cancellation of my original order.
Originally I thought I was signing up for a free sample and paying $4.95 for shipping, but they recorded it as a purchase for $50. When I saw the $50 charge on my credit card I submitted a dispute through the credit card company (Chase) and also notified Revdex.com. My original Revdex.com case# was #XXXXXXXX: Dermaset, Inc.

The original amount was reversed by my credit card bank but Dermaset sent me an invoice for $50 saying they were charged $40 by the bank and it also included a $10 "processing fee". Even though I have never received any product from them I decided to pay the $50 just to get rid of them, and I went to their web site on 2/6/2020 to pay the $50 using the same credit card. Their site went to a blank screen after I hit CONTINUE so I sent them an email about that and got a reply that the payment went through, but now 6 (SIX !!!) charges for $50 each have showed up on 2/6/2020 on my credit card. I took a screenshot of the credit card charges and will include it as a file. Note that these charges are for a processing fee that is actually not my responsibility. No product was ever shipped by them or received by me.

Cancel 5 of the 6 $50 charges shown on 2/6/2020 and do not send me any more bills.

Dermaset Response • Feb 28, 2020

Ms. had an outstanding amount of $50.00. Our customers are given the option to make their payments through our online collections payment portal.

Ms. erroneously entered her payment amount of $50.00 six times.

The additional payments are currently being taken care of.

Shady business .. charge after trial period eventhough canceled
I have received a cream that had trial period, I had to cancel before getting charged the month after. I did cancel beforehand and they sent an email it is canceled.
One month later my credit card was charged $179. I disputed the charges and asked them if they send instructions I will return. I didn't have the instructions and the product is untouched not even opened.

They said too bad since you disputed now you cant send the product and have to $50 fee at top of it or you go to collections.
I just called and they were Extremely unreasonable and roude. she practically was nasty and she said since you disputed we wont accept it and told me I should have called and it is my fault.

I am a very honest customer and my credit is almost at the top. This business needs to be investigated for practices.

I don't want my credit ti get bade nor I will pay them in any ways.

Desired Outcome

NO collection return instruction and business investigation of practice and unethical business

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of Dermaset on 09/28/2019. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. Ms. received an order confirmation email immediately after she placed her order (to be attached) which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms.
Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product for free, during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product. Otherwise, if she kept the product, after the 30 days trial ended she would have been billed $179.00.
Ms. requested to return the product on 10/24/2019, and the return instructions were immediately emailed to her9 (to be attached). She was given until 11/14/2019 to get the product back to us, otherwise she would have been charged.
Ms. failed to return the product and on 11/14/2019 was charged $179.00, which she disputed.
As it states in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 11), once a dispute is initiated we do not accept the product back and the customer becomes responsible to pay the cost of the product, along with any dispute and admin. fees.
Ms. therefore has a total amount of $229.00 outstanding which needs to be settled promptly.

Customer Response • Feb 07, 2020

I have informed the business I needed to cancel before due date. They said yes but I have not seen any response to return the item nor seen. The items is not even opened at all.
I called the office and explained to them. The representative was very rude and said since I dispute the charges now they will charge me dispute fees and very rudely said because I disputed the charges that they were under n I circumstances accept the product. They are arrogant... and left me no choice
I asked to instructions to send it to them and she was talking bad saying no.
and they are going to send this to collection.
I am good citizen and pay my bills and excellent credit.
They need to get investigated and I dispute if I think they should not have charged me and It is my right. They just want to take money and charge extra. This is just unacceptable.
I will send them back the product and it was in a safe place and totally untouched.

Dermaset Response • Feb 22, 2020

As stated in our previous response, the return instructions were immediately emailed to Ms. when she requested to return the product. She failed to do so, and after the allotted time of 3 weeks to get the product back to us she was billed $179.00.

As per our Terms and Conditions we have a 60 day money back guarantee. Ms. therefore still had until 11/27/2019 to get the product back to us for a full refund of the $179.00. She instead disputed the charge and as it states in paragraph 7.5 of our Terms and Conditions (see below), once a charge is disputed, the customer becomes responsible to pay for the product along with all dispute and admin fees. We also will not accept the product if it's returned.

Ms. outstanding balance of $229.00 still remains, and needs to be cleared promptly.

Paragraph 7.5 of our Terms and Conditions:

7.5 If you initiate a dispute or chargeback against Company for a charge, or if an alert of the same is detected, your account will be closed, any refund/return authorization privileges are hereby revoked and your product deemed unacceptable. Upon receipt, your product will be refused and sent back to you. You will be held responsible for any fees that Company incurs from said dispute or chargeback. If you will refuse to pay those charges and fees to DermaSet, you will be referred to a collection company and at that instance you will be responsible for any collection company fees.

In addition they charged my card $179 without my permission
Charged my Bank of America card $179 without my authorization on XX-XX -XXXX
They offered free product paying shipping only . They advertise on the app called My fitness.

Desired Outcome

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of Dermaset on 01/04/2020. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. Ms. received an order confirmation email immediately after she placed her order (to be attached) which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms.
If the customer decides to keep the product at the end of the 30 day trial, they are then billed $179.00.
As stated in paragraph 4 of our Terms and Conditions, we do a pre-authorization of $179.00 for all orders placed on our website.
It's a security measure applied from our payment processor. The charge disappears between 1 to 5 business days. Also, any additional fees caused by this charge will disappear as well.
This was explained to Ms., and she cancelled her order on 01/06/2020.
Her account was closed, and she was emailed a cancellation notification (to be attached).

Dermaset charged me $179 twice ($358), on my bank card, for a free sample of creme. I was to pay postage only, and then pay for creme after 30 days.
Yesterday, I was exploring online anti aging skin creme. Dermaset creme was being promoted by Dr. Oz show and other respected reviewers. Online, Dermaset offers a 30 day free sample with the cost of postage only ($4.95). In fine print, they said they would charge only if I was satisfied with the creme after a 30 day use.

By morning (15 hrs later), they had already debited $179 twice from my account ($358). My plan was to call them and cancel the whole order. The first time I called I was told the number was no longer in service. I then went online, I realized that there were many complaints about their misleading advertising. Usually there is an email receipt for any payments made to a customer. There was no receipt.

Now I realized there are many complaints about this company, with few customers receiving their money back. I will try to reach this company again. I cannot afford $358. I am retired and on a fixed income. I find it extremely strange that they can debit a customer for the full cost of 2 months worth of creme before the sample even goes out in the mail. And there is no receipt of this transaction sent to the customer. The only reason I knew was that I check my bank account every morning.

Desired Outcome

I want my $358 returned, and I do not want the creme. Their advertising is not only misleading, but charging this much for a "free sample" is really lying to their customers.

Dermaset Response • Jan 13, 2020

Ms. placed an order on our website for the 30 days trial of the DermaSet cream. As required, she paid $4.95 for shipping.

If the customer decides to keep the product at the end of the 30 days trial, they are then billed $179.00.

As stated in paragraph 4 of our Terms and Conditions, we do a pre-authorization for $179.00 for all orders placed on our website.

It's a security measure applied from our payment processor. The charge disappears between 1 to 5 business days. Also, any additional fees caused by this charge will disappear as well.

Jan 15, 2020, 10:59 AM (21 hours ago)

to me
Complaint ID#: XXXXXXXX
Business Name: Dermaset, Inc.

Hello Revdex.com,
Yes, the complaint was finally resolved, but only after I went to my bank. They called Dermaset from their offices and listened to the recorded offer that Dermaset made which only mentioned the $4.95 shipping fee and the fact that the $179 fee would only be charged after 30 days. There was no mention in the recording of a preauthorization fee of $179. Plus the $179 fee was taken out twice ($358).

In one phone call, the Dermaset individual put the bank rep on hold and never came back, and on a second call transferred the bank rep to an office in which no one picked up. Finally, someone in their accounting office picked-up. Once she realized this was a bank, they were a bit nicer but continued to claim that the error was mine. Then they claimed that the second $179 withdrawal was the bank's fault. But my bank was persistent and professional, as the charge had just gone through a few hours earlier.

They even berated Revdex.com saying that "anyone could call into Revdex.com and say anything, and that an F rating didn't matter." My bank had to remind them that a professional response from a potential customer was their goal afterall.

By afternoon, the $358 ($179 x 2) was taken off my account. I canceled the card from which the debit was made. And I have learned my lesson to not trust online promotions.

This is a fraudulent company who rips you off with the $4.95 offer. I checked my credit card statement after I ordered the free trial and they charged $4.95 plus an additional charge of $179.00. I called as soon as I saw the fraud and they said they already shipped the product and now I have to ship the product back to them at my expense. With 100% bad reviews how can these criminals stay in business?

accidental purchase . I immediately cancelled. They charged me anywayI mailed item back. they refused package because credit card was disputed.
My dog jumped on the phone and caused a purchase of 4.95. I tried to call dermaset and the no. Was hidden. I did manage to find a text page and told them to immediately cancel for the reason. They sent a cancellation tab number. I called my bank and there was a charge pending. I told them if they charged me I would dispute it. They mailed it out and sent me directions for a return. I paid 5.00 to return it and they refused it.. My bank said I did the right thing. If they want the product they need to pay the shipping. They don't want the product. They want me to now pay 250.00 with a threatening letter. They want to send it to collections. I told them not to send and I even mailed the product back .The lady was rude when I tried to talk to her .She said you should have let us charge you and not disputed it.Now you owe , we don't take back disputes. But seriously.. they mailed this out after the fact. My bank said trash it or hold it for a while... it is not your fault.

Desired Outcome

To leave me alone and read my message I sent when this first happened, it is clear as a bell. Do not process.Do they want the product back?I refuse to pay shipping again.

Dermaset Response • Dec 06, 2019

Ms. ordered our product on 09/25/2019 for the 30 days trial of the cream. The product was shipped on 09/26/2018 at 3:15 p.m. EST (shipment notification to be attached). Ms. then called our office that same day at 5:42 p.m. and requested that we cancel her order. She was advised that we had already shipped the product, and was instead emailed the return instructions (to be attached).

On 10/01/2019 we received notification that Ms. had initiated a dispute. As stated in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 11), once a charge is disputed we do not accept any return of product, and the customer becomes responsible for the charge disputed along with any dispute and admin fees.

We received Ms.Daniel's returned product on 10/02/2019 and it was immediately refused.

As such she has a total outstanding amount of $233.95 (shipping $4.95, cream $179.00 dispute and admin fees - $50.00) which needs to be settled promptly.

It is lies. I never called them till I got a letter demanding money. I couldn't get through.I cancelled the order within 1 hour . I sent you the text. This company is sneaky and needs to step up and own it.They should have known not to send it back I did as my bank instructed .I was honest enough to send it back. the whole purchase was an accident as I said I was just looking at this product. If I had actually wanted it I would have returned it anyway and owed nothing. This product I tried after it sat in the return box for 2 months. I assure you it is a rip off for anyone..you can get Botox cheaper. I am an honest person . I sent Revdex.com all I had and it does not match this companies info. They can still have the product. It is sitting and waiting for that light bulb to go off. I will only accept the truth.

As previously stated Ms. contacted us to cancel her order after the product was shipped (please see the time she was emailed shipment notification and the RMA - emails to be attached). She was immediately issued the RMA at the time she had called to cancel.

Once a dispute is initiated, we do not accept the product back.

Ms. still has an outstanding amount of $233.95 which needs to be cleared.

I received this product in the mail without ordering it, called the bank filled a dispute and returned product. Now I am getting a pre-collection notice for something I never ordered. When I called the company they are extremely rude and basically said, no you ordered it its on your IP address, and you have to pay. I tried reasoning with them and they just continue to be rude and deceptive. Never buy from this company I am telling you now.

Attempting to return the product using company's direction. Return package refused because I requested credit card company not pay the charge.

9/15/2019 Ordered what I thought was a FREE sample of DermaSet.Paid $4.95 in shipping using Visa card.
9/18 Received package with clear information that this was not a sample, but a trial and that would be billed $179 for product if not returned within 30 days, plus more for future products.
9/18 Called company to get return product information and received a Return Merchandise Authorization and confirmation that the order had been cancelled. Product was not opened.
9/18 Called Visa since a separate charge of $179.00 was posted under pending on the account statement.
9/19 Received email from DermaSet stating that I now owed $233.95. $183.95 for trial order and for fees caused by chargeback.
9/20 product returned with all notations and tracking required by company. Shipping of $5.40
10/7, returned from 4 day trip to find same package with notation of "REFUSED, return to sender".
10/7 Called DermaSet and was told that because I contacted credit card company they would NOT take product back, that they had sent me the email regarding the $233.95 and if that was not paid, would be sending it to a collection company.

I have all documentation should you need copies of anything.

Desired Outcome

Cancellation of bill for $233.95 and correction to any negative credit report. I admit & regret that I did not do my usual research before purchasing. I believe that the ad referring me to this site ( one of "click here for...")did specifically say FREE SAMPLE, but I see that that phrase is not used on the actual website. It seems you have had this complaint quite a few times. I do believe that the company must experience this a lot, since they have form letters prepared and the customer support staff quotes the agreement verbatim, regardless of who you talk to. Now that I have read the full agreement, I see they address this issue of what they term "charge backs" by saying, if they charge us and we dispute it...they will charge us more and refuse to let us return the product. I do believe these are deceptive tactics and hope the the Revdex.com can forward a case to the appropriate authorities in Florida. And...I will not fall for something like this again.

Dermaset Response • Oct 18, 2019

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of DermaSet on 09/15/2019. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. Ms. received an order confirmation email immediately after she placed her order (to be attached) which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms, which we will also attach a copy of.
Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product, during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product.
As stated in our Terms and Conditions paragraph 4, we do a pre-authorization for $179.00 for every order, which is voided within seconds after an order is placed.
This pre-authorization is usually released within 24 to 48 hours depending on the bank. Some banks *** take longer than 48 hours.
All this was was explained to Ms., who then requested to return the product. On 09/18/2019 the return instructions were immediately emailed to her (to be attached).
Ms. then disputed the pre-authorization of $179.00 with her bank, even after being told it was not a charge.
As it states in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 11), once a dispute is made, the customer becomes responsible for all dispute and admin charges, and any returns associated with the dispute is refused.
We received Ms. returned product on 09/24/2019 and the package was refused.
As such, Ms. is fully responsible for the cost of the product which is $179.00 , dispute fee of $40.00 and admin fees of $10.00, totaling $229.00 which needs to be settled promptly.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Attached are several documents showing:
1. The response from Wells Fargo which indicates the result of my alerting them to the $179.00 pending charge. There was no dispute forwarded to VISA since Dermaset did not complete the transaction and the charge fell off the accoun, just as Dermaset said it would. There was nothing for Wells Fargo to dispute.

2. A copy of the email from DermaSet dated the morning of 9/19 stating that I now owed $233.95. Somehow the amount is quoted in the above response as $229.00. The product price of $179 was listed as $183.95 in that email. (I noticed on other Revdex.com complaints that this amount varies from complaint to complaint, but that the gist of most complaints follows this pattern of problems with returns.)

3 and 4. Copies of my debit card transactions from 9/18 and 9/23. According to Wells Fargo, the $179.00 charge appeared as a pending transaction on 9/15, along with the charge for shipping. It was noted as pending on 9/18, then was off the account as of 9/19. There was no record of the transaction being completed and then reversed. Wells Fargo took no action on this claim, there was no "dispute", no "chargeback" or any other activity against DermaSet.

DermaSet has not provided any documentation from VISA that there was a dispute filed. Since I notified them of the desire to return the product, and returned it per their instructions, all they had to do was to accept it back per the agreement of the trial offer.

It appears that DermaSet reacted to my 9/18 request to return the product as a dispute, even though I did receive return instructions. The package was returned to DermaSet on, 9/20 and reached them on 9/23. It was then refused on 9/25, and was back in USPS hands on 9/26 and arrived back here on 10/7.

I followed all instructions for this trial offer from DermaSet: notified them of desire to return the product, and returned it well within the 30 day trial period, complete with required tracking and correct labeling of the package. I have provided details of the return, and you can view this at tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I still have the product in its return box and would be willing to return it again, but I am not liable for the $233.95 charge.
I received an invoice from DermaSet this week, labeled as a "Pre Collection Notice". I will not be paying this charge.

Dermaset Response • Nov 16, 2019

As Ms. mentioned in her response, she did contact her bank. Her bank then initiated a dispute. DermaSet works with a third company who alerted us that Ms. initiated a dispute for the pre-authorization of $179.00.

As mentioned before, a pre-authorization is not a charge. It is voided within 2 seconds after the customer places an order. This was all explained to Ms. when she contacted us. She then requested the return instructions and we immediately issued her the RMA.

Ms. then initiated a dispute with her bank. We are guided by our Terms and Conditions which states that once a dispute is initiated we do not accept the product back (paragraph 11), hence her return was refused.

As such, Ms. outstanding amount remains at $229.00 which needs to be settled promptly.

Customer Response • Nov 24, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Previously submitted documentation shows the $179 charge on my account from 9/15 thru 9/18, much longer than the "2 seconds" DermaSet quoted.
Banking regulations require Wells Fargo to receive confirmation of purchase/charge from a vendor before initiating a dispute with Visa. DermaSet did not confirm the charge and Wells Fargo did not forward a dispute to Visa.
I cancelled the order and received return instructions which were followed, but DermaSet refused to accept the return.
Usually vendors check the authenticity of an account with a nominal charge, such as $1.00. A $179 charge with the funds held for 4 days, is alarming to a consumer and warrants notification to a bank.
I remain willing to return the item at my expense (again), but will not pay the falsely inflated bill.
I have not seen any proof from DermaSet regarding the dispute filed with a "third party". Previously submitted documents show that Wells Fargo did not forward a dispute to Visa. Who is the "third party" and how would that information have reached them? Perhaps the "dispute" was simply my telephone call canceling the order?

I am requesting an agreement from Dermaset to cancel all charges and accept return of the product as per the original agreement.

Dermaset Response • Dec 06, 2019

Our Terms and Conditions are very clear, and paragraph 4 states that we do a pre-authorization for all orders Please see below:

4. Preauthorization:
Any charges from Dermaset will appear on your credit card billing statement as "Dermaset" or "Dermaset Inc." Your bank *** preauthorize a temporary pending transaction of $179.00 on your account upon initially placing your trial order. This pending transaction will be automatically removed after a short period. Dermaset will not charge your credit card any amount other than S/H within your Trial Period.

The terms also states that we do not accept any returned products once a disputed is initiated. See paragraph 11 of our Terms below:

11. Disputes/Chargebacks:
If you initiate a dispute or chargeback against Company via the issuing bank or any other financial institution, or if an alert of the same is detected, your account with Dermaset will be automatically closed. Any refund/return authorization privileges will be revoked and your product deemed unacceptable/unreturnable on receipt by Company. Upon said receipt, your product will be refused and sent back to you. You will be held responsible and assume liability for any fees that Company incurs stemming from the dispute or chargeback as issued by Merchant Account Processors. Additionally, you will be imposed a $10.00 nominal fee by Dermaset for processing your account per order number. If you will refuse to pay your outstanding balance including fees to DermaSet, you *** be referred to a collection company and will be responsible for an additional 35% surcharge as imposed by that company.

Ms ***'s outstanding amount remains at $229.00 which needs to be settled.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Wells Fargo did not initiate a dispute with Visa. Previously submitted documents support this.
DermaSet has not provided any documentation to the contrary, despite my request.
I remain willing to return the product at my expense, again.

Dermaset Response • Dec 28, 2019

We received an alert from our 3rd party company CDRN, that Ms. disputed the pre-authorization of $179.00.

She returned the product and it was refused (see paragraph 11 of our Terms and Conditions).

Ms. outstanding amount remains at $229.00 and needs to be cleared.

Contacted Wells Fargo again. They did NOT initiate a dispute. Refer to previously submitted documention.
Perhaps this was a reaction to cancellation of the order. DermaSet offered no documentation of the supposed notice from CDRN.
Remain willing to return the completely unopened and unused product.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Still waiting for proof of dispute. Previously filed documentation from Wells Fargo showed proof of NO dispute reaching credit card company.
Offer to return item for cancellation of all charges remains valid.

This company uses deceptive practices to sell their product. I ordered a "free trial" item for which I was to pay $4.95 for shipping. I was charged the shipping fee PLUS $179.00 that they claim is in their terms and conditions section. I did not see any terms and conditions offered. I have canceled, let's see how long it takes for my refund.

Did not order only trial size and paid for it, then they charged me $179.00 for future orders which I did not sign up for. This is def. a scram.

I am a senior citizen and do not make a lot of money and this is a scram. I did not order future products only a trail size and paid for it. I read the instructions very careful but they did not say anything about future orders and yet they charged my bank account $179.00. This should be reported as a scram.Something needs to be done about these scrams.I am going to send President Donald Trump a letter explaining what is going on.I called them and they said I would have to return the sample, I told them I paid for the sample. They tried to out talk me so fast, this is a racket.

Desired Outcome

Credit my Bank Account for $179.00 and do not mislead senior citizens with this kind of advertisement, or any others. Be honest. Then people will buy from a honest company. You have had many complaints, so I hope something will be done.

Dermaset Response • Oct 10, 2019

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of Dermaset on 8/27/2019.
On 09/17/2019, Ms. was emailed a Subscription Reminder letter (to be attached) as a reminder that her trial will end in 10 days, to which there was no response. After the 30 days had passed, she kept the product and was therefore billed $179.00 on 09/26/2019. We have a 60 day money back guarantee policy, and Ms *** requested the return instructions to return the product, which was emailed to her on 09/27/2019 (to be attached).
Ms. now has until 10/26/2019 to get the product back to us, after which she will be refunded the full amount of $179.00.

Everything they are saying is not true. I did not receive any letters from them, I can't produce any because they did not send any. This is just one of their scams by saying they notified their customers. Have they read all the complaint letters other customers have experience. This is just one more scam by saying they contacted their customers. You can't send their letter or email if you did not receive one and they know this. I have printed out 8 pages of complaints from other customers on this company and I am not satisfied with their response

Dermaset Response • Oct 26, 2019

We are always in touch with our customers every step of the way. All our emails are automatically generated - the order confirmation, shipment notification, subscription reminder, auto refill subscription, return notification authorization and cancellation notification emails.

As previously stated, Ms. had until 10/26/2019 to get the product back to us for a full refund of the $179.00, however on 10/15/2019 we received notification from her bank that she disputed the $179.00 charge.

As it states in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 11), once a charge is disputed we will not accept the product back, and the customer becomes responsible for the cost of the product, along with any dispute and admin fees.

As such, Ms. now has an outstanding amount of 224.00 which includes the cost of the cream - $179.00, dispute fee - $35.00 and admin fee - $10.00. This amount needs to be settled promptly.

Dermaset Response • Nov 15, 2019

As previously stated, our emails are automatically generated. Ms *** was emailed her Order Confirmation letter, Shipping Confirmation letter, and when she requested to return the product she was emailed a Return Authorization. She still disputed the charge of $179.00.

As such, her outstanding balance of $224.00 remains and needs to be settled as soon as possible.

I am trying to return a product. Company is going to refuse the package and have contacted a lawyer in a period of 10 days saying that I owe them $218
On August 23,2019 I ordered a 30 day trial of Dermaset for $4.95. In addition to the $4.95 there was a pending charge for $179.00 that caused me to be negative in my checking account and have no funds available. I called Chase and disputed this. My Chase representative disputed both charges on the 24th of August. I decided that it was not going to be worth it. I called Dermaset on the 24th to ask them not to ship it and they said *** said that it had already shipped. So I got the cream and tried it for a few days. Nothing special. The ingredients are no different than any other skin cream. Their claims of stem cell recovery, ect...are false advertising. I called and spoke to Stacey on September 3rd. She issued a RMA number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to be used within three weeks of issue. I returned the product on 9/12/2019 via UPS. I spoke to *** today and was told that the package would be refused because my bank disputed the $4.95 and that I owe them $218.95
Cream-$179.00
Shipping-$4.95
Dispute fee-$25.00
Admin fee-$10.00
I asked why I couldn't just reimburse them for the $4.95 and was told that it's their policy and to read their terms and conditions. *** told me that this has already been sent to a lawyer and collections. Isn't it a bit early for that? They haven't even gotten my return yet. Can they legally do this? I told *** that I felt scammed and that I was told two different stories between her and Stacey. So on the 3rd they're will to let me return it and now on the 13th I owe them over $200 for nothing.

Desired Outcome

I would like to reimburse them, $4.95 for shipping and handling, have them accept the product return and and not threaten me with attorneys if I don't pay for something that I have every right to return and have tried to within their time frame. I have no control over Chase disputing both charges. They are great with fraud!

Ms. ordered our product on 08/23/19. She paid $4.95 for shipping to receive a 60 days supply of our product to try for 30 days. If she decided to keep it at the end of the trial she would have been billed $179.00 for it.
As stated in our Terms and Conditions paragraph 4, we do a pre-authorization of $179.00 for every order, which is voided within seconds after an order is placed.

to me
I disputed the $179.00 immediately because I of course had not read the fine print. I however did not dispute the $4.95. The representative that I spoke to must have misunderstood since both transactions are from the same company.

I called immediately to figure out what was going on. *** and her crew were willing to work with me in the beginning.
After speaking with them the first time they became extremely combative and told me that this had been sent to their attorneys office. After a few weeks. That's a scare tactic and bullying. I have investigated and they have changed their company name and address in the past after receiving warnings from the FDA. Their cream is not special or worth the price. It is nothing like Perricone, Clarins or Loccatine.

Their terms stipulate that package will be refused and if lost they aren't responsible and payment is still due. They should do better business to promote their products and accept my return. Word of mouth goes a long way. This cream caused me to get little pimples on my face. I do not have acne. You know what works great for wrinkles. Retin-a. You can now get prescription strength Differen Cream at Target for $13.00.

I feel like this company has covered all of their legal bases so that they can continue to take advantage of people.

I want them to take the $4.95 and I'll even pay the dispute fee but I refuse to pay $179.00 for a product that I returned per their instructions.

Thank you

This company is relentless. I did not agree to try the product after the RMA was issued. I tried it for two daya before and that is why I asked to return it. It's a horrrible cream that is more like a primer.

They said they would refuse the product when returned. The product has not been returned to me and I will not pay for something that does not exist.

I will be contacting the attorney general this week to do some further investigation into this company. The only outcome that will work for me is paying the $4.95 shippinh and handling.

If the product was something that didn't irritae my skin then I would have kept it. I suggest they look at Clarins, Perricone, L'occitane, and La Praie if they want to market themselves as a high end cosmetic.

I was immediately charged $179.00 which the representative claimed was a pre-authotization. This actually created a $34.00 overdraft fee im my account. I called my bank to dispute the charge. Dermaset charges shipping as a seperate transaction. Both charges were disputed. My solution was to pay the shipping and they keep their product. I was emailed an RMA form but once I tried to return the product I was verbally attacked by an extremely rude Woman who told me the product would be refused and returned to me. Their product was never returned to me so I refuse to pay an outrageous amount of money for a product that is mediocre at best that I don't even have in my possession.

Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product, during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product. On 08/10/2019, Ms. was emailed a Subscription Notification letter (to be attached) as a reminder that her trial will end in 10 days, to which there was no response. After the 30 days had passed, she kept the product and was therefore billed $179.00 on 08/20/2019. We have a 60 day money back guarantee, therefore Ms. could have contacted us for the return instructions, and return the product for a full refund of the $179.00.We have tried to contact her on the telephone number she provided to us however there was no response and her voicemail is full. We have emailed to her the return instructions (to be attached), and once we receive the returned product before 09/19/2019 she will be credited the full amount of $179.00.Should Ms. need any further clarification she can contact us at XXX-XXX-XXXX, or email to us at ***@dermasetcream.com.
