Dermaset Reviews (%countItem)

DermaSet charged me the 30 day trial price $4.95 and $179 simultaneously.
I was charged the 30 day trial price of $4.95 as well as $179 at the same time. I understand that after 30 days if I DO NOT want to continue with their product I would have to cancel the every 2 month subscription. Today 8/23/19, I was charged a total of $183.95. I wasn't given 30 minutes let alone 30 days. I have sent an email, I sent a message via "Messenger " as well as called and they are not available on the weekends only Monday - Friday 9 - 6 eastern time. I have also contacted my bank to file a claim for a fraudulent charge of $179 that I ABSOLUTELY did not agree to pay the same day as the trial price of $4.95. I was looking for the email receipt and found it in my SPAM folder which raises red flags.

Desired Outcome

At this point I expect them to put my $183.95 back into my account. Apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing me, and an explanation of why my account was charged $4.95 and $179 simultaneously.

Questionable business practice.
I ordered a 30-day free trial of Dermaset, but noticed that $179 plus the shipping fee were immediately debited from my bank account. I cancelled the order immediately. Called customer service who informed me that the $179 was a pre-authorization charge that will drop within 24-48 hours. The amount was not dropped and is still showing in my bank account. I disputed the transaction with my bank, but allowed the shipping charge to go through. Note that the item was never shipped, and I have the email confirming cancellation. I then received emails collecting $50 due to my having filed a dispute. This is the first company who charges for cost that they supposedly incurred for a dispute, which they have not addressed.

Desired Outcome

Dermaset should stop sending these billing emails that threaten collection if supposed charges to address a dispute are not paid. Dermaset should refund the $179, an authorization charge that was supposed to drop within 24-48 hours.

Ms. ordered our product on 08/06/19.As stated in our Terms and Conditions paragraph 4, we do a pre-authorization for $179.00 for every order, which is voided within seconds after an order is placed (See the pre-authorization release attached). This pre-authorization is usually released within 24 to 48 hours depending on the bank. Product does not work as advertised and companydoes not respond when asked for product return instructions.
Dermaset advertizes 30 day trial, product can be returned all you have to do is contact them via phone OR email for simple return instructions. I've called and emailed them 3 times and I receive no response. If the productis not returned on time, I will be charged $179. The product does not work and is not worth that price. I need instructions to return it.

Desired Outcome

Im seeking return instructions. They even send an instant message when you login to their webiste asking how they can help, but dont respond when you IM them back.

Dermaset Response • Aug 10, 2019

Ms. requested the return instructions and it was emailed to her on 07/29/2019 (see attachment).

Ms. informed us that she has returned the product and she provided her USPS tracking number.

WE have since then cancelled her future shipments (see cancellation notification attached), and we now await the returned product.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
After filing a complaint with the Revdex.com I received an email response notifying me that my 30 day trial period was up in 10 days. I also received return instructions. I emailed them to notify them that I returned the product and to verify my subscription would be canceled. I received another promt email requesting the tracking number and another email this morning notifying me that my subscription has been canceled. Thank you very much Revdex.com of Florida for your assistance in resolving this matter.

I fell for the free trial offer for $4.95 (today at 11:00am) before I read the reviews on Revdex.com . I immediately called the 800 # and asked for a refund (today at 11:24). I was told that I would get my $4.95 back and my order is cancelled. I will follow up it any further charges pop up. I gave a 2 star because the girl was very nice. She asked why I was cancelling before I even tried the product and I stated that I just read the reviews about $179.00 being charged w/o consent, she assured me that , they do not do that. The reviews beg to differ. I will not purchase anything w/o coming on the Revdex.com.

Was billed $179 within 48 hours after opting for a trial that was free. Try the product it made me break out in a rash requested a refund from the company via email and put a complaint in with the bank to stop the payment did I did not authorize for $179.
Order_Number: XXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment Contact the company and obtain a billing adjustment of $179 removed from my debit account. Cancel any future contact or subscriptions with this company. Thank you

Dermaset Response • Jul 19, 2019

The charge that Ms. saw on her account is only a pre-authorization. It's a security measure applied from our payment processor. The charge disappears between 24 and 48 hours. The pre-authorization is also mentioned in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 4). See below:4. Preauthorization:Any charges from Dermaset will appear on your credit card billing statement as "Dermaset" or "Dermaset Inc." Your bank *** preauthorize a temporary pending transaction of $179.00 on your account upon initially placing your trial order. This pending transaction will be automatically removed after a short period. Dermaset will not charge your credit card any amount other than S/H within your Trial Period.Ms. requested the return instructions which was immediately emailed to her. She has returned the product, and her account is now closed. She was also emailed cancellation and return notifications advising her of same (see attached).

Doesn't really work. That why I returned it.

Please ask for DermaSet to credit my account. I cancelled my subscription and sent the item back to DermaSet. Deceptive advertising.
I called and said that the product did not work and to cancel the subscription. My personal admin returned the plastic bottle (cut out the front of the plastic bottle) and sent it without the top to 215 South 21st Ave. Hollywood, Fl XXXXX with my Name, address and note to cancel the subscription. Next on my credit card, I was charged $179 for the sample and then later billed $149 for an order that was not shipped. I called again and told them that I wanted a refund and to cancel the subscription. Since this was the second call that I had made, I asked for a confirmation and the woman said that she would send me a confirmation email. The representative was very rude to me and I was kind to her. I did not receive any confirmation email that I had canceled the subscription. I called up my credit card company and asked to stop payment on the $179 and $149 charges. The credit card company said that DermaSet can respond to refute the stop payment. DermaSet has not tried to refute the charges. Instead 45 days later I receive two letters in one envelope from DermaSet stating "PRE-COLLECTION REQUEST". First letter states that I have an outstanding balance of $229 for Order No. XXXXX Order date 3/23/2019 ($179 Product, $40 Dispute fee & $10 processing fee.) The second letter states that I have an outstanding balance of $50 for Order #XXXXXX, order date 4/22/19, Product price $0, Dispute fee $40, Processing Fee $10 Total Due $50. I did not receive the second bottle so that is why the product price is $0 but to charge me a Dispute fee & processing fee for a total of $50 is getting to the point of outrageous on product that I did not receive. I called and said the product did not work for me and asked to cancel all orders. I was nice but the representative was very rude. On top of that I did not receive a confirmation email that was promised to me. Also, the second bottle was not sent but they still want to charge me for fees. The invoice says that the product price is zero but I was being charged for a Dispute Fee & Processing Fee for $50. The website hides all this information from you. The DermaSet is misleading. It looks as though you are getting a sample for $4.95 shipping fee and that all you must do is cancel if the product does not work. DermaSet puts everything in small type to make it harder for the customer to understand their policy. Deceptive advertising: The Check Out Our Celebrity Corner but none of the Celebrities endorsed the product but the statement makes the customer think that it was endorsed. They target the seniors who have wrinkles that really do not understand how deceptive the company is and that they will charge your credit card forever if you do not stop them. We do not think about checking out the business on Revdex.com because we believe DermaSet's advertising. Please I would like a letter from DermaSet that my account is at zero balance for Order #XXXXXX & Order # XXXXXX. I did follow the directions. Their threatening letters for product that I did not receive which it clearly states that the product price is zero, but I am being billed for Dispute Fee & Processing fee and for returning product but being billed for the product. Please help me with this problem with DermaSet that I do not owe them any money. The product does not work. I returned a portion of the bottle & cut out the front of the bottle to save on postage with a note to cancel and called DermaSet too. They are taking advantage of seniors and using scare tactics and bullying us. Thanks for your help

Desired Outcome

A letter from DermaSet that I do not own them any money for Invoice XXXXXX and Invoice XXXXXX. Total credit of $279

Dermaset Response • Jun 21, 2019

Mr. placed an order for our 30 day trial of DermaSet on 02/09/19, and paid $4.95 for shipping and handling. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. Mr. received an order confirmation email (to be attached), which also had a link to our terms. The email explicitly states the trial is not a sample. Mr. also received a letter bundled with his product that included an overview of the terms (to be attached).
Regarding the trial itself, Mr. had 30 days to try out our product, during which he could contact us if he wished to cancel or return the product. On 02/22/2019, Mr. called our office and requested an extension of the trial. His trial was therefore extended from 03/11/2019, and was set to end on 03/23/2019. Mr. never called for the return instructions and we did not receive a returned product from him. As it states in our terms and conditions, we charged him the price of the product, $179, on 03/23/19.
We do offer a 60 days money back guarantee. Therefore if we had received his returned product on or before 04/10/2019, he would have been refunded the full amount of $179.00.
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, the accounts are set up for auto shipments every 60 days unless the customer cancels. An order was created on 04/22/2019, and Mr. was billed $143.95 inclusive of $4.95 shipping for a fresh supply of the product. On 04/24/2019, he called and cancelled the order and the full amount of $143.95 was immediately refunded.
On 04/30/2019, we received notification from his bannk that he disputed the $179.00 charge.
As it states in our terms and conditions (paragraph 11), once a charge is disputed. the customer becomes responsible for the charge disputed (cost of the product), as well as any dispute and admin fees. The total amount outstandinng for this dispute is therefore $229.00, inclusive of the dispute and admin fees.
On 05/01/2019, we again received notification from his bank that he disputed the charge of $143.95, which we already refunded 04/24/2019. He therefore has an outstanding amount of $50.00 for this dispute, which includes the dispute and admin charges.
The accounts are presently in a pre-collections status, and the outstanding amounts need to be settled promptly.

to me, ***

To Whom It *** Concern,

The previous email that Revdex.com sent on the response from DermaSet, Inc. *** have been sent to my junk mail or was deleted by accident.

Please reopen the Revdex.com Complaint Case# XXXXXXX. Please include *** in any responses so that she *** review the email and make sure that it is handled quickly by me.

DermaSet states that I call there office for an extension on February 22, 2019.

I did call a DermaSet representative to say that the product did not work for me, that my face seemed irritated by the product and to cancel the trial order.

There was no letter with the product that stated the terms. It states on DermaSet website to return the product within 30 days of ordering.

The DermaSet representative tried to convince me to extend the trial period. I told the representative that I was not interested in keeping the product or extending my trial period and wanted to return the product.

The representative became rude to me and continued to try to have me accept an extension on the trial of the product over and over.

My phone was on speaker and my personal assistant heard the conversation. I told the representative that we would cut out the front of the bottle with a note to cancel the trial and return the item to DermaSet and finally hung up the phone because the representative would not listen to me.

My assistant cut-out the front of the bottle with a note to cancel the subscription. On March 4, 2019 the envelope was taken to the post office and sent by US Mail to DermaSet, Inc. We have not received the envelope back.

We cut out the front of the bottle so that we would not have to pay extra postage and I had told the DermaSet representative that was what we were going to do and she did not say that was unacceptable.

The second time I called DermaSet on April 23, 2019. I asked the representative why I was billed the $179 and the $143.95 since I had cancelled the trial and subscription.

My phone was on speaker phone so my personal assistant could hear the conversation and if needed my assistant could talk to the representative too.

The DermaSet representative was very rude.

I asked the representative to send an email confirming the cancellation and credit.

The representative said that she would send an email.

I never received an email from the representative confirming the cancellation or the credit.

On June 24, 2019, Stacy from DermaSet called. My assistant returned Stacy's call on June 24, 2019. Stacey told her that DermaSet never received the bottle and that I was being sent to collections for $279.

My assistant said that Stacy would not get off the phone and repeatedly said that I would be turned into collections.

It was totally abusive when the DermaSet representative will not stop talking and refuses to hang up, so you are forced to hang up to get them off the phone.

Also the letter that DermaSet sent the Revdex.com says that I owe $229 and the letter that DermaSet sent to the State of CA Attorney General's office states that we owe $279 because of two dispute charges and administration fees. Why are the amounts not the same? Is it because they cannot kept their stories straight.

Also the letter to the Attorney General Office (CA) states that we never called DermaSet. Please note that the letter that DermaSet sent to the Revdex.com states that we called on February 22 and April 24 (the second call was actually April 23 not April 24).

It seems that DermaSet cannot get their stories to match that they sent to the Attorney General's Office and the Revdex.com. Also the verbiage on DermaSet's website at time of purchase.

Please review the attached documents:

DermaSet Website's verbiage at time of purchase
Client did not call us (wrong) and the difference in the fees that are owed - the letter that DermaSet sent to the State of California Attorney General's office - please compare with the letter that DermaSet sent to the Revdex.com

If possible, please help us resolve this problem.

Best Regards,

I was originally charged $179 and when I disputed the claim now they want to charge me $220 for disputing the charge
I bought the cream as a trial. When I realized I was charged $179 for the cream, I contacted the company twice and left my contact information on a voicemail. No one called me back so I disputed the charge. Now I'm being contacted and told that I will be sent to collections because I owe them $220 for disputing the charge.

Desired Outcome

I refuse to pay an extra fee for disputing a charge because the company would not return my calls. It seems like they are extortionists pretending to run a legitimate business. I have been told I've been sent to collections and I would like any negative repercussions from this to be removed from my credit report.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am going to accept the charges only because I was never allowed to return the product, and it is still in my possession. As for the voicemails I left, I have no proof that I made the phone calls and attempted to return the product. However, the claim that the business returned my calls is false. I never received a call back from this company until I disputed the charge and they wanted to collect their money. This company makes it impossible to return the product and then charges you an additional fee for disputing the charge because you could not reach anyone. At approximately 9:30 am MST today, 22 April 2019, I called the company to pay the charges they say I owe. However, I have been put on hold for 30 minutes, and I am still waiting. This does not sound like the excellent customer service they claim to provide. If I am unable to pay the charge due to their poor customer service, I will reopen this case to dispute any damage to my credit report.

This is a scam company whose product is terrible, ineffective and potentially dangerous to skin. I attempted to return the product but because I disputed the $179.00 hidden charge I did not agree to knowingly to pay, they refused to give me a reference number to return the product which caused skin rash, irritation and dryness. I was out of the country and returned within the 60 days. I saw the inappropriate charge on my credit card bill which I immediately disputed for my own protection. I attempted to work with customer service who bullied me and told me they would send me to collections if I didn't pay IMMEDIATELY. Yet, they wouldn't allow me to return the product because they figured they could scare me into paying a fee I didn't agree to. I just say they have many complaints and an F rating. They are still threatening me about collections. I have NO DEBT AND EXCELLENT CREDIT RATING and integrity. This is a slimy business. Do not purchase anything from them especially if they say it is free. It is never free. I paid for the trial, but didn't know I would then be charged a horrendous amount and not be able to do what they agreed-return it. I tried anyway, but they sent it back to me. SCAM.SCAM.SCAM. Rude customer service. Don't let them bully you into paying a fee you didn't truly incur. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE HOUNDED IF YOU DO. THEY ARE LACKING IN INTEGRITY AND GREED IS THEIR MOTTO I ASSUME. PLUS IT DOESN'T WORK AND CAN HURT YOU! I DOUBT THIS REVIEW WILL EVER BE PUBLISHED BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH.

My name is ***. I was looking for some best skin care product back in October 2018 till when a commercial of dermaset appeared in my phone. Then it says just pay the shipping for free trial. So did I! after 16 days Of using not frequently once every 2 days it appeared on my face some itches followed by dark spots and skin discomfort. I topped it.I tried to reach out the customer service it was on Sunday afternoon unsuccessfully to return The item.I said it my be scammed. 30 days I've been charged for the full amount pay I disputed the payment with my bank. Then dermaset refund the full amount. Today I've been charged for $229.for the same item. On my behalf I knew that the case was closed. And they say that they can't receive the product anymore

Desired Outcome

Modification/discontinuance of Find out if they can reduce the price of the product because I can't afford it. And clear my record. Sincerely

Ms. received an order confirmation email immediately after she placed her order (to be attached) which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms, which we will also attach a copy of.
Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product, during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product. On 11/13/2018, Ms. was emailed a Subscription Notification letter (to be attached) as a reminder that her trial will end in 10 days. Our days of operation are Mondays to Saturdays, therefore if Ms. called on a Sunday all she had to do was leave us a message or send us an email for the return instructions. After the 30 days had passed, she kept the product and was therefore billed $179.00 on 11/23/2018. We have a 60 day money back guarantee policy. Had she contacted our company within the 60 days our very experienced customer service team would have been ready to provide all the information needed to return the product for the full refund of $179.00. Instead she disputed the charge, and as it states in our Terms and Conditions (paragraph 11), once a dispute is initiated we do not accept the product back, and the customer becomes responsible for the charge disputed, as well as any dispute and admin fees.
Ms. therefore has a total amount outstanding of $229.00. She contacted our office on March 21, 2019, and made an agreement with one of our representatives to have this amount settled in 3 installments of $76.00 each.

I was on Facebook the evening of January 25, 2019 when I saw as add by Dermaset, Inc. which had a face cream product that sounded interesting and all you had to do was pay a shipping and handling charge of $4.95 for a two month supply. The add gave little detail and did not say what the face cream would cost nor what the time frame was. My Chase Freedom card was charged for $4.95 on January 25th. They mailed the product January 26th at 10:57 AM, a Saturday and I received it either Tuesday, the 29th or Wednesday the 30th of January. Also Dermaset, apparently sent me a very specific email, January 25th, stating this was a 30 day trial and was not free. I never received this email as it went to my spam! Unfortunately, I never check my spam until it gets too full then I delete it!

February 26th I opened my Chase account and there was a charge on January 25th, of $179.00 from Dermaset, Inc. I immediately called them at 9:00 AM and the answering service said that they opened at 10:00 AM so I called Chase. Chase said they would investigate the charge and let me know. Although I had an appointment at 10:00 AM I called Dermaset and was told that I could return the product and they would send me instructions on how to do it. I called 30 days exactly from the date they mailed it, not the date that I received it. I waited for the instructions, but did not hear from them so I called back in the early afternoon. I was turned over to a very nasty supervisor who informed me that not only could I not return it, I owned them $179.00 and also owed them $40.00 for filing a dispute with Chase. I now, she said owed them $219.00 and their was nothing I could do about it. Her anger was very intimidating and she said if I had called them first I would have been able to return it, but since Chase and I did not have the courtesy to call them first it was too late and I now owed them the money. The woman said I received specific details in the email they sent me on January 25th, I said I never received so she resent it and I still did not receive it, she then said, check your spam, which I did and there it was.
I told her if I had gotten this I certainly would have acted upon it. None of this was on facebook. I can see why they have so many complaints already.

The resolution I want is that I do not have to pay them $179.00 for their product and the $40.00 they are charging me for filing a dispute with my Chase Visa card. The total I do not want to pay is $219.00. I have never heard of a company charging you for filing a dispute with them.

Thank you for considering my dispute with Dermaset, Inc.

Desired Outcome

Refund

Dermaset Response • Mar 25, 2019

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of Dermaset on 1/25/2019. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. Ms. received an order confirmation email immediately after she placed her order (to be attached) which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms, which we will also attach a copy of.
Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product , during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product. Otherwise, if she kept the product then after the 30 days trial ended she would have been billed $179.00. Ms. wasalso sent a subscription reminder email 10 days before her trial ended (see email attached).
Ms. disputed the $179.00 which was charged, and is it states in our Terms and Conditions, once a customer initiates a dispute, they will be responsible for any dispute fees incurred. Ms. therefore has an outstanding amount of $40.00(dispute fee).

Customer Response • Mar 26, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The product was mailed to me on 1/26/2019 and I received it 1/29/2019, no bundled letter, that I saw was included in the packaging. The ad that I saw on Facebook did not mention terms and conditions and as I mentioned before and told them, I never sawterms and conditions, as it went to my spam. I do admit that I never look at my spam, until I am ready to remove it. I called them 2/26 when I saw their billing on my Chase account, but they were not open so I called Chase, and told them I wanted the amount removed and then called Dermaset again and was told that they would send me the information for removing the product amount on my card, however when they did not I called them again and got a very nasty response from a supervisor, she tried to send me their information and it did not come through again so she said "look in your spam" there it was and believe me I would have responded and been very careful about sending the product back immediately if I had been aware of the cost which was not mentioned on Facebook and the conditions. I was then told that I now owned them $40.00 more for making a complaint and that I now owned them $219.00. I now have received a bill for $10.00 more on 3/21/2119 for being late with my payment, so I now owe them $229.00 and demanding a cashiers check or money order, I have never used them and do not intend to. If I owe them anything it would be the $40.00 for filing the complaint which is ridiculous, I have never heard of such a thing. No one in their right mind would not respond to their demands of this is not a trial sample and of course I would have sent it back if I had received any of their information which I did not. I did send the product back anyway, but past the 30 days. This company has so many complaints against it I feel that I am not alone in calling them a very bad company.

I purchased Dermaset 11/4/2018 and paid for shipping. I was charged $179. I did not give permission to charge my credit card. I offered to mail back .
Art my expense. The cream does not work. This is a SPAM.I called them and they said no

Desired Outcome

Refund on my credit card

Dermaset Response • Feb 06, 2019

At this point, it is too late for DermaSet to accept Ms. return. Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of DermaSet on 10/05/2018. A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website.Ms. received an order confirmation email, also to be attached, which stated the above and had a link to our terms. Ms. also received a letter bundled with her product that included an overview of the terms, which we will also attach a copy of.
Regarding the trial itself, Ms. had 30 days to try out our product, during which she could contact us if she wished to cancel or return the product. She was emailed a subscription notification letter, reminding her that the trial will end in 10 days, and if she kept the product she will be billed for it (see letter attached). The trial ended on 11/04/2018, and she was therefore billed $179.00. We have a 60 day money back guarantee policy (beginning from the day the order was placed), which lapsed for Ms. on 12/04/18. Therefore, she is fully responsible for the $179.00 charge.

This business ran a very deceiving a about a sample of their product. Upon receiving he product it said it wasn't a sample and that $179.00,was due to them. Now I have to pay to ship the unopened package back to them. This was very deceptive advertising,
I am returning everything back to them.

I just called them, they will not take the product back and will send the account to outside collections. What a trashy company.

Dermaset's website entices the consumer with a "30-day free trial" of their product, then initiates repeat shipments and charges.
My story is similar to the 61 other complaints here. I ordered the "free" 30-day trial of Dermaset skin cream on 11/4/18, paying the $4.95 shipping charge with my credit card. I had ordered it for a friend, and gave it to her unopened. I had not realized that they would charge my account $179 for that "free" product. The charge showed up on 12/2/18, but I didn't find it until I paid my bills on 1/16/19. By that time, I had recieved a second shipment from them and my card was charged $143.96. I called Dermaset to tell them that I was returning the unused productand did NOT want to have any subscription. On 1/16/2019, I mailed the product back with their "Return Merchandise Authorization" (which states that the product must be unusedwhich the second shipment was, but which the "free" $179 one would NOT have been!). I also called my VISA provider, and their dispute office suggested that I dispute both unauthorized charges: the first for $179 and the second for $143.96, so I did, even though the company had already received payment from my VISA provider. The next day, I got a call from Dermaset, saying that I should NOT have disputed the charges, and that because I did, they would not accept the returned product, and would turn over my "debt" of "over $400" (including dispute charges) to a collection agency instead. I told them that I had already shipped the product via UPS at my cost, that they could do what they wanted with the product, and that I wanted them to return my money or my credit provider would deal with them.

Desired Outcome

I want this company--whose advertising is clearly misleading--to refund the amount of $322.96 from their unauthorized charges to my credit card. I further expect them to cease attempts to collect those funds. Legitimate companies earn money by providing good products and services, not charging customers for products they never ordered.

Dermaset Response • Jan 29, 2019

A trial is not a free sample, nor is that language used anywhere in any of our promotional materials or website. We ship a full size 60 day supply tube containing 2 ounces of cream, the cost of which is $179.00. If the consumer decides to return the unused portion of the tube to us and requests the return instructions within the 30 day time frame, they are given 3 additional weeks to get the product back to us. Once we receive the returned product anytime during the 3 weeks, we do not charge them for cost of the product.

By default, a new tube is shipped every 2 months to replenish the old one, and it is offered at a discounted rate of $139.00. This is easily opted out of by a simple request via phone or email. 72 hours before the product is shipped, the customer receives an email informing them of the ability to cancel. We will attach a copy of Ms. VIP email.

Our terms and conditions are located on the website, in the confirmation emails, and in the bundled letter with the trial (to be attached). An email is also sent 10 days before the end of the trial, as a reminder that their trial will end and they will be billed $179.00 (to be attached). We even have a 60 day money back guarantee for people who miss their end date and would still like a refund. VIP replenishment orders have a 30 day unopen return policy. The only exception to accepting a return is in the case that a customer does a dispute or chargeback with their bank. The customer return privileges are revoked and they are responsible for any fees we incur; see 7.5 of our terms and conditions.

Ms. ordered the product for the 30 day trial on 11/02/18. That same moment the confirmation email was sent. 30 days later, on 12/02/18, she was charged for the product in the amount of $179.00. On 01/01/19, she was charged for a VIP replenishment at $139.00 + $4.95 for S&H.

Ms. did a dispute with her bank against the $179.00 charge and the $143.95 VIP order. This resulted in an automatic refund of both charges, and Dermaset incurred $40 fees for each of the disputes. As mentioned above, this revokes return privileges, so on 1/23/19 when we received her return, we refused it. Thus, Ms. owes Dermaset $179 for the first product, and $143.95 for the VIP order, along with both dispute fees of $40.00 each. This is a grand total of $402.95. She may remit payment by check, money order, or credit card by contacting us.

do not want any billing or product mailed from this company
on January 9th I ordered a sample for dermaset trial and paid 4.95 for sample to be mailed to me I received package and inside was a not claiming this a not a sample but I would be billed 179.00 monthly for this and continuous I do not want this product and do not want my credit card billed and want to return this unused sample to them they are a scam company with 62 complaints

Desired Outcome

do not want any further billing or any product to be sent to me I am returning in original packaging this unused item I will mail to them assuming I will not be billed 179 or any future billing

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial of Dermaset on 1/09/2019.

Ms. requested to return the product on 01/13/2019, and the return instructions were immediately emailed to her. We received her returned product on 01/19/2019, processed the return and her account has been closed since (please see cancellation email attached).

I was t they lied to me about Auto shipmentand they refused to let me return a tube of dermaset because it was opened
I was told there was no Auto shipment and when I spoke to another representativeabout a refund she said that she could not take it back because it was opened 143.00

Desired Outcome

I wanted to return the tube of dermaset for a refund

Dermaset Response • Jan 17, 2019

Ms. ordered the 30 day trial on 9/30/18. Our terms and conditions are available on our website and referred to in the order confirmation letter emailed the moment an order is placed, and a letter bundled with the very first product explains the 30 days trial (please see attached). Her trial ended 10/30/2018 an she was billed $179.00 for the product. By default, we automatically ship a new tube every 60 days, unless cancelled by the customer. Ms. Kearns Lafond was billed for another product on 11/29/2018 which she was aware of. We also had a verbal agreement to credit her shipping charges of $4.95 which was done See order details attached). She was emailed an order confirmation letter when the order placed, and a shipping confirmation letter when the product was shipped (to be attached).
Automatic shipments can be returned within 30 days of the ship date for a full refund, however the tube has to be unopened, otherwise the packge is refused and no refund issued (See extraction from Terms and Conditions below).

As Ms. stated, the product was opened, therefore we would not have accepted her return. We have cancelled all her future shipments.

Pease see paragarph 7.2 from our Terms and Conditions below as it relates to the return of recurring orders:

7.2. How to Return Your Reorder (Reocurring Order)
The condition of your reorder must be unused and returned within 30 days from shipping date. Exceptions may apply at the descrection of the Company. You may return reorders by marking the package "Refused: Return to Sender" and RMA numbers are not needed.

Sneaky sales tactics, poor communication, unclear and erratic billing, zero customer service & sketchy return practices.
It was sold as a "free trial" for shipping costs only. Then a full bottle arrived and I was billed $149, then another came for $179. No email contact at all, vague receipts in the box. No true website to cancel service, no one answers the phone. I returned the 2nd delivery unopened with a note saying i'd Like to cancel. They refused it unopened w/"dispute, refused" written all over it. I called & reported them to my credit card, cancelled charges & blocked from further charging. I then received a "pre-collection" notice.

Desired Outcome

I wanted to make the Revdex.com aware and I'd like Dermaset to stop contacting me & stop sending me their collections notices.

As mentioned above, this revokes return privileges, so on 11/27/18 when we received her return, we refused it. Thus, Ms. Engelmann owes Dermaset $219 for the trial product, and $183.95 for the VIP order. This is a grand total of $402.95. She may remit payment by check, money order, or credit card by contacting us. We sent her a pre collection letter in an effort to settle her balance before turning her account over to collection.

Dermaset is a scam organization - taking advantage of individuals and charging for non-delivered products.
Approximately 2 weeks ago, I noticed a fraudulent charge on my VISA account. After communicating to my credit card company, I also noticed an email from this organization. I immediately notified them that the charge was not authorized by myself or my spouse and it should be cancelled. They promptly responded the next day with the cancellation notice. Today I received a collection notice in the mail for $80 for a "dispute fee". Upon contacting the number listed on the letter, I spoke to a very rude and unprofessional individual who claimed to be a manager (Mary Sue). She berated me for making the call to VISA stating that there was no reason for me to do that given the company had already cancelled the charge. I attempted to inform her that I contact VISA for several merchants that were unauthorized on that specific date, not just Dermarset. She continued to argue with me stating it was not possible an I was therefore liable for the $80 or the information would be sent to a collection agency. This company is horrible!! I do not know if their products are any good but if they employ these type of individuals and practice this type of scheme in order to make revenue, they should be investigated and taken out of business. They should not be allowed to continue to deceive and defraud consumers of their hard earned money of consumer reputation. I sincerely hope that the Revdex.com in FL proceeds with action against them.

Desired Outcome

I do not want to be coerced into paying a illegal $80 fee in order to maintain my excellent credit rating. This is manipulation and extortion. The company needs to send me a letter informing me that they are abiding by the investigation that was conducted by VISA showing that the original credit card purchase was fraudulent and not attempt to make me (the victimized consumer) pay the idiotic dispute fee.

Dermaset Response • Dec 29, 2018

Ms. placed an order for our 30 day trial on 11/30/2018. She paid $4.95 for shipping. We also do a pre-authorization for $179.00 which will show as pending in the customer's account, however this falls off within 24-48 hours.

We have a very friendly and competent staff who is always ready to serve our customers.

Had Ms. contacted our office, one of our very knowledgeable representatives would have explained the pre-authorization to her.

Instead, she immediately contacted her bank and disputed both the $4.95 and $179.00 charges.

As it states in our Terms and Conditions, once the customer makes a dispute, they will be responsible for the dispute fees.

Ms. therefore has an outstanding amount of $80.00 which represents the 2 dispute fees of $40.00 each. This amount needs to be settled promptly.

Please see sections 2 and 7.5 below from our Terms and Conditions as it relates to the pre-authorization and dispute:

2. Remember, you can cancel at any time by contacting our Customer Care Department at X-XXX XXX-XXXX or visit us online at https:/dermasetskincare.com/. Today's charges and future charges will appear on your credit card as DermaSet, Inc. or DermaSet.
Note: When using a debit/gift card, your bank may authorize your card for $179.00 by creating a "pending transaction" on your account. If you see this on your account, it's only a temporary authorization and will disappear in a few days. It is NOT a charge. We do not charge your card (besides S/H) for 30 days.

7.5 If you initiate a dispute or chargeback against Company for a charge, or if an alert of the same is detected, your account will be closed, any refund/return authorization privileges are hereby revoked and your product deemed unacceptable. Upon receipt, your product will be refused and sent back to you. You will be held responsible for any fees that Company incurs from said dispute or chargeback. If you will refuse to pay those charges and fees to DermaSet, you will be referred to a collection company and at that instance you will be responsible for additional 35% collection company fees.

Company claims I ordered skin care cream from them. I am an 85 year old man and don't use skin cream. This is a scam against seniors.
We have received 3 pre-collection letters (one to me and two to my wife) claiming that we owe $179 for 3 different orders that we never made and never received.

Desired Outcome

Remove any charges and leave us alone.

Dermaset Response • Dec 27, 2018

DermaSet offers a 30 day trial, where a customer gets a full size 2oz tube, which is a 60 day supply, and is only charged shipping and handling initially. Once 30 days pass *** the customer keeps the product, the customer is charged $179.00 for the cream.
As per our Terms and Conditions, the trial is only one per household, and can only be done once.
Ms. first placed an order for our 30 days trial online on 06/28/2018. The product was shipped 06/29/2018 and delivered on 07/02/2018.
The 30 day trial ended 07/28/2018, and she kept the product. We therefore tried to bill her $179.00 which is the cost of the cream, and her card declined on 3 attempts.
Ms. placed two more orders again for the trial on 07/03/2018. The products were shipped on 07/05/2018, and delivered on 07/09/2018.
The 30 day trial ended on 08/02/2018. Like before, we attempted to bill her $179.00 for each product on 3 trys and her credit card failed at each attempt.
Mr. placed an order for the 30 day trial on 07/02/2018. The product was shipped on 07/03/2018 and delivered on 07/05/2018.
The 30 day trial ended 08/01/2018, and he kept the product. We therefore tried to bill him $179.00 which is the cost of the cream, and his card declined on 3 attempts.
All four products were shipped to the same address, which Ms. confirmed is her address.
We have attached all the orders and tracking details.
Ms. therefore has an outstanding amount of $537.00 for 3 products, and Mr. has an outstanding amount of $179.00 for 1 product.
These payments will need to be made as soon as possible, otherwise the accounts are referred to a collections agency.

Customer Response • Dec 28, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I explained to them previously that I was away on vacation from June 16, 2018 to July 14, 2018 with my family in California. I have no idea how, why or by whom these products were ordered, but not by me. My mail was held at the Post Office for the duration of our trip and when it was delivered there were no packages from this company. They say only one order per household and yet they are saying they shipped 3 orders to my home with the same name. I think they are scamming me and I will fight them in court if necessary to prevent them from doing this to others as well as to me.

Customer Response • Jan 09, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have two credit cards. One is a Costco Visa and the a Citicards MC. I don't own 4 credit cards. I have a credit score above a 750, have used a product called Algenist for years and truly have no idea about Dermasets products. My Citicards cc was hacked last month and they have replaced it, but I have absolutely no charges, nor have I ever had any charges from this company. I don't know what else to do about this. I have called them on several occasions to explain this to no avail. As a retired senior it is very unlikely that I would buy $700 worth of skin care products.

Dermaset Response • Jan 17, 2019

As previously stated, all four products were ordered using four different credit cards bearing the names Lorie and ***.

All four products were also delivered to the address which Mrs. verified to be their shipping address.
