Dermiva Skin Care Solutions Reviews (%countItem)

Order was place Derma Supreme Max which I thought was a free trial - did not find any information regarding returning product or subscription.
Order for Derma Supreme Max was charged on my CC 4/10/18. No information received with the product with regard to a "trial offer", subscription or return policy. The next month I received my credit card statement with two charges from Life Max Boost 8557844076FL for $89.95 & $85.95. Since I had no idea what these charges were for I telephoned Capital 1. They started a dispute and credited my account for the charges. As per CC co. instructions, I also called Life Max Boost & explained I did not order anything from that company & to cancel the charges. The person I spoke with said it was a trail for 15 days and I was to return the product and cancel the subscription within that time frame and since I already disputed it with my CC company they wouldn't credit the charges against my CC account. My CC company notified Life Max Boost about the dispute & Life Max Boost sent information to my CC co. showing a totally different product (Life Max Boost XL sized products) along with information regarding the delivery, subscription info, cancellation policy etc. In turn the CC sent me the information received from them & they reapplied the charges to my account since the Life Max Boost provided an order, the cancellation policy etc. None of this information was ever provided to me with my "free trial" product from Derma Supreme Max and I didn't receive the Life Max Boost XL Sized Workouts products shown as the product ordered in the information to my CC company. I again notified my CC co. sent a picture of the product I actually received (face & eye cream) but since I could not provide the information requested by my CC company (Sales invoice, purchase agreement, proof of cancellation and/or return) because I NEVER received any of that information from the company, the charges have been added back to my account. I have telephoned the company and they will not work with me to resolve this. It seems like a classic case of bait and switch - different products, different company names, no information included with the product, no receipts sent for the order, nothing... I received cosmetic type products from Derma Supreme Max and Life Max Boost provides my CC co. with order information for workout products? Help!

Desired Outcome

I want my credit card company reimbursed so that my account can be credited for the amounts charged by Life Boost Max $89.95 and $85.95. I will gladly return the product received Dermiva Anti-Aging Face Cream and Dermiva Eye Cream IF they send me a return authorization form or similar information.

Thank you for mediating this consumer complaint from our customer, Case Number: XXXXXXXX, ***. Our company strives to make sure that our customers are 100% satisfied, so we take consumer complaints very seriously. Before customers commit to our 14-day trial, our customers have to affirm and acknowledge the terms & conditions for our auto-ship program by marking the T&C check-boxes.

According to our records, customer ordered our Dermiva Skin and eye cream on a 14-day trial basis on 4/10/2018. The trial expired on 4/24/2018 and due to the fact that our customer did not contact us to cancel their trial, they were subsequently charged for the original shipments on 4/26/2018, $89.95 for the skin cream and 5/1/2018, $85.95 for the eye cream.

On 5/25/2018 and again on 7/4/2018, the customer called in about the charges and was explained the terms and conditions but had already filed a dispute with her credit card company. Though the customer was awarded her chargeback case, to ensure the customer is completely satisfied, we are also refunding the customer for those transactions. We apologize for the confusion and the misunderstanding. The below is her refund confirmation. The refund takes 7-10 business days

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I was originally awarded a temporary charge back until the case was investigated but was subsequently charged for it again, therefore I will not be getting an "additional" refund as the response infers. I am only interested in getting my account credited for the original charges. As long as the $175.90 is either credited back to my charge card or sent directly to me I will be satisfied. I appreciate the company responding to my complaint in this manner. Hopefully they will make their "14-day trial" more noticeable in their advertisement. A disclosure with the product delivered would be even better. Thank you to the Revdex.com for enabling this response.

Not yet - will wait for confirmation of the following: I have rec'd notification from my CC company that my account has been credited however I do not know if that credit is due to the CC company receiving the above noted checks or not. Were the checks sent to the CC company or sent to me?

Dermiva Skin Care Solutions Response • Nov 20, 2018

You have received a refund from your credit card comapny in addition to the check that we sent out. Therefore, this matter has been closed on our end.

horrible understanding of what a free trial means. small print.multiple phone numbers to cancel.many unsatisfied customers. horrible communication.
I signed up to try some skin cream. Because I didn't respond after 14 days, they charged me full price which I NEVERon the trial website (link to facebook). So I paid full price. The name changed from Life Max Boost to Rapid Skin Serum. The phone number also changed on my Credit card statement so I didn't recognize the bill. On the internet, there were multiple phone numbers to call... They have sent me two new packages packages since May 12 and have charged me two more times. 855- 832- 2076 855-784-4076 855-830-3088 855-840-2558 844-864-2565 I finally called number on product. After waiting 15 minutes, they answered and I cancelled. I told them to email me confirmation. They gave me a confirmation number, but I have not received an email that it has been cancelled! Really really horrible way and way overpriced!!!!!!!!!

Desired Outcome

I want them to not falsely advertise a product and not make it so hard to cancel IF someone like me is naive enough to try this. I certainly have learned my lesson, but want this business to be accountable!!! I would be willing to send my two unopened jars and get a full refund of those two bottles. I guess I can suck up the first full charge. I have a packaging sticker with all the information from the last one sent July 12

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I was Overcharged for skin products. I returned the products and was promised a refund. I have been waiting for more than a month.

Please see below.

Desired Outcome

On 5/21/18 I ordered two samples online from Dermiva Skin. Each sample was $1.00. I used my bank debit card. The products arrived and I saw that my debit card had been debited for $89.95 and $85.95, not for two $1.00 charges. I called Dermiva, and they said I had agreed to the charges and also to the continuing monthly charges of $89.95 and $85.95, which I had not. I called Dermiva many times and talked to Michelle, Jesse, Briar, Wendy, Jay, and others. I returned the products via UPS, tracking #1ZE6FXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Dermiva received the package on 6/13, signed for by Macke. They denied they'd received the package several times. Finally they agreed that they had and that I would receive a refund within 30 days. It has now been 38 days. Every time I call they say I've been set up for the refund but I have yet to receive my refund. I just called today, 7/23/18, and spoke to Ashley.

I have not received a refund for either the $89.95 charge or the $85.95 charge, neither of which I authorized. I did call customer service at Dermiva today and spoke to Rickie, who assured me she would contact their corporate office and arrange for them to send me a check or checks for a full refund for both products that I returned. She said it would take at least 30 days. If I do not receive the refund in the specified time I will contact both Dermiva and the Revdex.com of West Fl again. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Thanks very much for following up. I have yet to receive my refund, which was promised to me. Please keep this case open. I'm planning to call Dermiva today to ask about the status of my refund and will let you know. Thanks for being diligent!

All best

Like all the other reviews, I ordered what I thought was a "free trial" and only pay $4.95 shipping fee in May 2018. It wasn't until I received the following month's credit card statement that I noticed they had billed an additional $85 and then another $89 within two weeks of each other. I immediately initiated a dispute of the charges. Upon investigation, company presented website material to credit card company that didn't exist at the time I placed order. If I had seen the terms and conditions the company forwarded as back up, I would never had completed purchase of "free trial". This company is a complete scam. The product received displays DERMIVA, but company name on credit card statement reflects RAPID SKIN SERUM.

Do not, do not order from this company. The trail cost of 4.95 is false advertising, your card will be billed additional charges for that and future shipments. You can not return any item to them either. So when product does not work, you are out of luck and hundreds of dollars. They charge you 94.90 for each shipment you didn't order!

Offered free trial and then was charged for product. Customer service refused refund.

Placed free trial order 5/14/18 at 10 pm with debit card. Full charges for product taken on 5/28/18. Called company on 5/28/18 advised was not explained properly regarding addition charges and total.
They stated as of midnight on 5/28/18 free trial ended and refused refund. Order#XXXXXX is dated 5/15/18. Again refused refund.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund as their policy on charges and the total was not clear in the offer for free trial.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
I would like to advise that different advertising regarding free trial and 14 day trial period be made more clear and not included in T&C.

My credit card is being billed large amts for a product I didn't order.
I spoke with Chara at customer support. I explained I did not order the product just the sample. She told me I had to cancel my order within 14 trial days ( a fact I was not aware of).I requested a refund of my money. I was billed $118.99 on Mar 29th and billed again on May 1st for $121.65 and 125.51. I just rec'd the product in the mail. I have not opened it and want to return it. This wasn't an option. I cancelled my order and was given 2 confirmation numbers CXXXXXX and CXXXXXX. In order to talk about getting a refund she told me I would have to call back with my bank being present on the phonecall. Where do I go from here.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund. I am willing to return the product unopened. If I have to pay the first amt of $118.99 I would be OK with that.

I ALSO BEEN HAD BY dERMIVASKIN. I WANTED TO BUY A SKIN CARE PRODUCT BUT INSTEAD WAS DOOPED IN BY DERMIVASKIN. I DONT KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED. ANYWAY, I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS THE ACTUAL WEBSITE FROM THESES TWO LADIES THAT GOT THEIR BUSINESS STARTED BY sHARK TANK. I SIGNED ON FOR A FREE TRIAL SIZE, WHICH I PROMPTLY RECEIVED. ABOUT THREE WEEKS LATER MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED ALMOST $190. I CALLED RIGHT AWAY AND TOLD THE LADY ABOUT AND THAT I WAS SHOCKED ABOUT THE CHARGE AND THAT I DID NOT ORDER. SHE INFORMED ME THAT I DID NOT CANCEL WITHIN 14 DAYS OF PLACING THE FREE TRIAL ORDER. sINCE MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED, I THOUGHT I GET THE PRODUCTS IN THE MAIL. aT THE SAME TIME, I TOLD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I WANTED TO CANCEL IMMEDIATELY. TODAY, aPRIL 30TH, IDECIDED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN AND INQUIRED WHERE MY PRODUCTS ARE SINCE I WAS CHARGED ON THE CARD. TODAY, I HAD A VERY POLITE LADY ON THE PHONE AND SHE INFORMED ME THAT I WILL NOT GET AN ORDER SINCE I CANCELLED. THE PREVIOUS CHARGE WAS FOR THE TRIAL PRODUCTS.
I WAS STUNNED AND MAD ABOUT MY STUPIDITY. THESE SCAM ARTISTS NEED TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. .

Same experience as all the others on this site. I signed up for a "sample" only to get charged later for over $90. To their credit, when I complained enough, I did get a promise of a refund and was able to cancel my subscription. Now I'm waiting to see if the refund actually comes through. Bottom line - do NOT do business with this company.

The charges on my credit card don't match what the site advertised. I also had no idea I was signing up for a subscription, because there was no notice. Also, I haven't noticed any positive results from the product. Spend your money elsewhere!

This was false advertising. It was to try a free sample but was really a way to get someone to sign up for subscriptions.
This is concerning Dermiva products. They posted their products online offering a free sample. Thought I would give it a try...big mistake...Apparently I somehow signed up to receive this product monthly. No where in their ad did it say this would happen. The first time I sent the package back unopened but this time I opened it up to get a phone number to stop these deliveries....... No phone number No way to contact Dermiva. This stopped me from ever ordering a free sample again but now I want it stopped and my money returned from the package sent back

Desired Outcome

Stop sending this product...Stop the false advertising and refund the money for the package returned

they won't stop sending me the unauthorized product. They continue to charge my credit card without my permission.
On 3/09 and 4/09 2018 Dermiva sent jars of cream to me and charged $94. each time to my card.I had only agree to a sample for shipping fees in a misleading, dishonest ad. I want them to STOP sending me anything and STOP CHARGING ME. I HAVE SUBMITTED DISPUTES TO MY CARD COMPANY WHICH HELPED as far as charges but not ceasing the shipments of unsolicited products. Deriva does not include return info, contact info or any resolution material.

This company automatically enrolls you in a monthly subscription. Then will not accept returns. So once you get the product, you are stuck with it.
I ordered a pre-trial of the Dermiva face cream. They forced in the process to add on the eye-serum and there was no way to just order the face cream. Then you are automatically enrolled in a monthly subscription with no warning. You are never sent an email to confirm anything. There was no email informing you that you were receiving a new shipment. I found a customer service number for the company on the Revdex.com site. Their website has no contact info. When I called the number, it's a call center and not dedicated company employees. I asked to return the unopened product and the operator informed me that the company does not take returns. This company has a shady way of doing business. I would not purchase their products.

Desired Outcome

I would like to return the product and receive a full refund.

I did not receive a permanent refund from my financial institution for the Dermiva charges on my account. The case is still pending according to my financial institution. In addition, Dermiva did not address why they were charging my account monthly yet not sending product. Nor did they address where they post the trial period details and the terms of service or the contract. It is not in the one and only email I received from them. In addition, there are is no additional communication from this company. For instance, an email to explain the conditions of the monthly purchase or an email notification for when they are sending the product and charging your account. It is sneaky business practices.

Dermiva Skin Care Solutions Response • Apr 23, 2018

Hello,
We apologize if there was any confusion but when the client initially signs up to receive the free trial products, you have to click a check-box and agree to the terms and conditions. In there, it states that if you do not cancel w/in the 14 day trial period, you are to be charged for the full product price and subscribe to monthly subscription.
Unfortunately, because this transaction was flagged as a chargeback, we are unable to issue you a refund at this time with the chargeback case still pending. It is not until the case has ended or if you would like to reach out to your financial instituation and end the chargeback case are we able to issue your refunds. This is to ensure you are not awarded funds from a successful chargeback case and funds from us.

Here is the tracking # for the trial XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX & for the rebill XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Both tracking #'s show that it was delivered to your mailbox.

Paid for shipping of free trial no enrollment offered for continued delivery. Scamming people with this disguised offer.
Offer was to pay shipping for free trial of product. Checking my credit card statement I notice a pending payment of $89 and change, which I did not approve. I called Customer Service and I was told I had signed a consent to enroll on a monthly delivery, which is not true. I requested to cancel it and get a full refund. They offer 50% and call dropped. I will contest with credit card as fraud.

Desired Outcome

If a product enrollment is offered, be at front. I request a full refund of charges to credit card. As I had not approved nor authorized recurring transactions.

I went to Dermiva's website and signed up for the free trial of their product with the understanding that I would be charged shipping and handling. No problem. I read the terms and conditions and nowhere that I could see did it state that this was a recurring subscription and that I would be charged the full price for the product. If I had seen that, I would not have signed up for the free product. On March 27th, 2018 I was charged for the shipping and handling. I decided to read some reviews of the product on the net and saw that there were many complaints about their sneaky business practices. On the 5th of April I called Dermiva to cancel future shipment as I understood from other reviews that I had 14 days to do so. I was told, very conveniently, that my account could not be found and that the next level supervisor would have to look into it and would contact me by e-mail or by phone in the next day or two. Okay. No problem. Yesterday, the 10th, I was charged $89.95 for a monthly subscription of their product. I called my bank. A hold was placed on my credit card for this company for any future charges. I was told I would have to contact Dermiva about the current charge. I did. At first I was told they would give me a 35% refund, then a 75% refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She refused to give me a full refund because the first person I talked to said I had filed a dispute with my bank. Which I hadn't, yet. I told them I was going to if I didn't get satisfaction from them. Called my bank back and have filed a dispute. I normally don't have problems like this. I don't do subscriptions. Wouldn't have with this product if I had known that it was one. Don't understand why they are still in business.

I was charged 2x for the Same product. I received only one, tried to tell company they refused to accept copy of bank statement showing charges
Charged one too many times
Tried to relay this info to Customerservice
To no avail
Only concession given was a 35% discount on product
Paid with debit card
Can provide copy of statement showing charges

Desired Outcome

Refund of 89.95 overcharged

Thank you for mediating this consumer complaint from our customer, Case Number: XXXXXXXX, ***. Our company strives to make sure that our customers are 100% satisfied, so we take consumer complaints very seriously. Before customers commit to our 14 day free trial, our customers have to affirm and acknowledge the terms & conditions for our auto-ship program by marking the T&C check-boxes.

According to our records, customer ordered our Skin Cream and Eye Serum on a 14-day trial basis back on 02/20/2018 and paid the shipping and handling fees of $4.95 and $5.95. The trial expired on 03/06/2018 and due to the fact that our customer did not contact us to cancel their trial they were subsequently charged for the original shipments on 3/08/2018 and 04/07/2018, $89.95 for the Skin Cream & $85.95 for the eye cream.

According to our records, the customer called on 4/8/2018 to cancel her account. She would not let our representative speak and hung up on us a few times. The customer said she was charged 3 times in March but according to our records, there are only 2 charges. The T& C was explained and a 35% discount was offered as well, but the offer was declined and the customer hung up again. Due to this, a resolution was never reached.

However, to ensure that the customer is completely happy, we have refunded the $89.95 that she is requesting.

See refund transaction below:

Refunded - $89.95 Trans-ID: XXXXXXXXXXX

The refunds should reflect on customer's account within 3 to 7 business days.

Please relay this information to our customer and feel free to let us know should you have further questions.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
From the beginning I acknowledged it was my mistake of interpretting trial as smple. I told the company representative this, in fact I told 2 different reps the same thing . I told them both the only resolution I was looking for was, to cancel the auto ship from future shipments, and be refunded the overcharge that was placed on my account in March ( I sent the Revdex.com copies of bank snapshot as proof). The company only offered me a 35% discount on my next shipment, and refused to even look at the bank info showing the overcharge. They only repeated their system only showed 2 charges not 3, and continued to try to sell me more product or even different product.
If it is my mistake I will accept responsibilty for it, however, when the company refuses to listen to or look at my documentation as proof of their mistake, I felt I needed to let others know of the practices of this company.

I too thought I was signing up for two free trials of the eye cream and skin cream. Two weeks later I received full sized bottles of watered down lotion and was charged $89 dollars per bottle on my credit card. I called the company, and they said I have signed up for a subscription and I only have 7 days to cancel the subscription from the time I signed up. Since I didn't receive the product until two weeks after I ordered it, that would have been impossible. When I said to cancel the subscription, they said it wasn't possible and they wouldn't be refunding the money. I told them I cancelled the credit card and reported it as a fraudulent charge. Only after this did they send me an email cancelling my subscription and the charge was removed from my account. I'm not sure if they removed the charge or my bank did, but I was lucky to get my money back minus the $12 I spent on shipping for the "free trial" that I never got.

free trial of anti aging therapy. did not agree to repeated
delivery of product or payment for these deliveries.

DERMIVA ANTI AGING FACE CREAM
DERMIVA PHYTOCERAMIDE EYE CREAM
ORDER # XXXXXX
ship date; 04/02/2018

I requested the Free trial of the above products.
as close as I recall, the date was mid February.
I did not request, or agree in any way, to repeated
deliveries beyond the trial of these products.
I used a freind's Visa with thier agreement, so
I have not got the # or what amount they have been
billed for these shipments.
please help me resolve this issue.

Desired Outcome

stop sending all these unrequested products and reimburse all billing charges taken without permission from VISA. OWNER OF SAID VISA *** CARD #:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hello,

Please be advised that since the refunds have been provided, all auto-shipments (including auto payments) have been stopped. If there are payments being taken out, please contact your credit card company immediately for assistance as it is probably from another company.

Thank you.

Ordered "free sample" of product from web ad, paid shipping which is what the ad and order said you would be charged for. Charged later for product.
Ordered two different samples of skin and eye care product from Dermiva web ad. Specifically looked for "fine print" in ad and during order process but it was not there. Then received my email confirmation which confirmed what the ad said, product sample, pay for shipping and was charged 5.95 and 4.95 separately for the two products shipping. Fast forward to end of the month when I am paying my credit card bill and saw two more charges, one for 85.95 and one for 89.95 on my card. Called the co. to complain and they started asking me for all of my "personal" info to get the credit going (They asked my zip code, then my name, spell my name, then my address, etc.) so I told them they were asking too many details and would speak to my credit card company. Called Synchrony Bank and disputed both charges. Dermiva quickly credited the 89.95. However, in disputing the other 85.95, Tia (Dermiva employee) stated "it's in the fine print in 3 places on their web site" that you will be charged for the product and now refuses to credit the 85.95 since I disputed it with my bank. Tia does not have an email address and a manager was not available to speak to me either. She stated the bank can contact them but they will not be issuing a credit based on the fine print on their web site, where I did NOT purchase the product. Remember I purchased the product straight from the ad which never takes you to their website. I can't believe a company does business like this. If you want people to try your product and be evangelists for the product, you can't sneak the full charge later and expect the customer will be satisfied. The fact that there is no mechanism in place for employees to have email addresses to respond to customers and that they note in their system what happens with each transaction leads me to believe they are constantly trying to "CYA" instead of offering customers a product and experience worth paying for.

Desired Outcome

Refund of 85.95 and for them to be more transparent in their e-commerce practices.

According to our records, customer ordered our Skin Cream and Eye Serum on a 14-day trial basis back on 01/22/2018 and paid the shipping and handling fees of $4.95 and $5.95. On 2/19/2018, a refund of $89.95 was provided for the Skin Cream but the eye cream was not. On 3/21/2018, the eye cream was flagged as a chargeback and on 4/3/2018, the customer called to dispute the charge but since the account was flagged as a chargeback, the customer was advised to have the bank contact us in order to get the dispute resolved. However, to ensure that the customer is completely happy, we have provided a full refund for the eye cream. See refund transactions:

I distrust Dermiva Skin Care Company. I have no recall of signing up for a monthly supply of their product. I called and asked for a refund. They offered a 35% discount. When I pushed harder they offered 75% then finally 100%, that was on just one shipment. I was charged for one previous shipment & I am very annoyed that they would not offer a discount or refund on the product. I will speak to my credit card company!
