I requested that my information be removed from their website and they state the only way to do it is to pay them or mail a form that has to be notarized. I'm not in the position to get a form notarized and I want my information removed because I am a victim of stalking.

I have asked them to remove a case from their website. While they claim it is "free" to do so, they want a credit card. I am not giving them my credit card information.

Their publishing of my home address violates my right to privacy and safety. As a victim of violence, I am outraged that they have exposed me to my stalker.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I've contacted them multiple times, even gave them my credit card as required and sent in the form in via US mail.

I don't care that the case is there except for the fact that it exposes my home address and phone number.

While it may be "public record," it actually isn't. People have to create a PACER account and then know how to access a document. It's not easily accessible. You've exposed my home address and my safety. As I'm a victim of a stalker, you've now put my life in danger.

It is inexcusable that you profit from sharing people's information without their consent, and then blackmail them into paying you to remove it.

Sincerely

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is not entirely satisfactory to me. My name when searched via browser still comes with reference to this website and the company wants to charge a fee for it to be scrubbed from the internet. Probably the basis of their entire business model, is to prey on people who are struggling.

I filed for bankruptcy last year and did a 1 time charge a couple times to docket bird for $3.99 to download a couple documents. Now my back account has gotten charged $9.99 in July and again this month in August. I never authorized this and I would like a full refund for both months this has been taken out of my bank account

I have to reject the answer that the business gave as they advised they couldn't understand why it cannot be removed from Googles URL

they expressed this in a email as well - numerous attempts were made (thets what the company said said)

I actually have the emails from them

I actually made a complaint with Google and they had the site removed - the business didn't

Docketbird had my information on their website and told me that I could pay for expedited removal from ***. I paid them over a year ago to remove me from the page’s index so that my name would no longer show. However, this hasn’t happened. I’ve emailed them several times since then to no avail. They send a generic email promising support and never respond. I need them to remove me from their site and refund the money I paid for expedited service as one year is in no way a swift delivery of a service. They are a fraudulent company who preys on people who’ve had to file bankruptcy and never seek to resolve the issue when they try to get their personal information removed.

My information full life history, credit history, is on docket Bird. I have contacted this company 16 times to remove my information that they state is free to remove. I am only being offered to remove my unworthy credit history and husband’s if we pay. They have made it impossible to have contact with anyone who can personally perform this and send you to a link within their website that NEVER works. During this Covid-19 I have applied for employment but been denied due to this website.

My personal financial information is available on this website and indexed with Google under a name search. I sent an email to help and sales. Also followed the link to remove for free. They requested my email address for a confirmation code which I provided ... Then, they wanted my credit card information to verify my identity. Really? Not! Other option for removal is pay almost $50.00!!!! ... I want the Google search engine results removed, I want my personal financial information removed from thier website immediately. Predatory website, extortion, and causing dangerous circumstances.(For some, like myself, who have had abusive domestic situations) Remove it NOW for my safety.

DocketBird is illegally displaying my (and many others) information on their website regarding bankruptcy filings. I am well aware of the violations of ones private and personal information to be advertised in such a way, customer services lacks to respond to immediate removal and request a cc for 'free' removal; makes no sense!

They need to be shut down/out of business due to such disservices to individuals recovering from such financial hardship!

Like so many others, along with their complaints filed with the Revdex.com...My name and bankruptcy is on their website under a former legal name. I know that bankruptcy is public record but I did not give them authorization to post my bankruptcy. They are also asking for money ($49.99), to have it removed or fill out paperwork and have a notary sign it and mail it in to them to have it removed. I'm not sure if what they are doing is even legal. I want my information removed from their website. My original request along with my email should've been sufficient when I initally, requested to have it removed from their website, prior to being prompted to either pay a fee or fill out a notarized form that will take 6 to 8 weeks to process. I recently saw my information displayed on Google on 21 July, 2020. After I saw it was a hassle to ask for my information to be removed through their website, I immediately came to the Revdex.com's website to see if other people had an issue with this company. To my surprise, there were "many" complaints.

DocketBird Response • Jul 27, 2020

I've asked Docketbird if my information was removed, as THEY SAID THEY WOULD, on approximately three different occasions. I have a email that I will upload indicating that they would remove it. As if yet, they haven't, not even with a follow up response. I wish there was a way to sue this company!!

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I live in the state of New York and I’m well aware that all bankruptcy/court proceedings are public record. However, Docketbird does not have the permission or right to have my information posted on their website and ***. Someone did a *** search and told me that they saw my name and bankruptcy report. I then ***d myself and came across the same information. I tried using their help center, which they say will remove your information from their company and *** but they want you to pay for it. This is a scam. I will not be paying them to remove information that they have no right to have on their website or on *** They need to have it removed immediately. I have contacted my lawyer and she stated that they do not have the right to have this done as well. People already experienced certain traumas with even having to file bankruptcy due to financial difficulties and then to have someone try and embarrass you in the public and force you to pay them money to have it removed is not acceptable. I will also be contacting consumer affairs about this matter. They know that people will be embarrassed by this information and will feel compelled to pay them this money so they don’t have to feel this embarrassment. I have read several complaints about them doing this to people.

I have attached two pictures of what I get when I emailed the company.

This company posts private information publicly and claims to allow for free removal, but then fraudulently requests credit card information in order to process removal request. They are in clear violation of the Privacy Act, and when I contacted them to request removal of my information (re: CT Bankruptcy case no. ***), I was repeatedly sent to a link to input my credit card information and to pay 59.99 for expedited removal.

I am rejecting this response because all efforts to remove my information require that I give them my credit card information, which is not appropriate, legal and which I have refused to do. I demand that my information be removed WITHOUT requiring me to give them more personal information.
