Made a $deposit on a villa or apartment on 2/28/ The deposit is refundable per the documentation On O9/16/we cancelled our reservation in writing to [redacted] (sales)and requested the deposit returned We have called the business office on 10/23/and told it would be taken care of On 11/23/we were told it takes up to days, but she would check on itNo call back Called twice on 12/21/ [redacted] did not return messages On 12/30/Called [redacted] (XXX-XXX-XXXX) left messages, no calls back On 1/7/requested Atty [redacted] (XXX-XXX-XXXXX) to send demand letter to Brookdale management

I have read the reviews and they seem to repeat the experience that I have had with Brookdale They are inconsiderate and down right rude to the residents talking to them like they are iesThey are downright liars(April Jolly and Beth) They took my sister-in-laws cats while she was at the doctor( she pays extra to be able to have pets) They(Beth) told the police officer that was called that April had them and she was at home The officer asked if she would bring them to a location of her choice so that they could be picked up and relocated Beth told the officer that she would but April never called and then said that they were at the animal sheltchecked but they were not there She later said that a worker came and picked them up which was a lie as the animal shelter that she said they were taken to denied that that was done April had asked Rebecca S [redacted] for the kitten and she was declined I feel that the kitten is at her house but she doesn't have the decency to tell Rebecca where they actually are She was also promised that they would have outings and activities but so far they haven't done anything for the residents The staff have given her a hard time about everything that they possible can and won't give her medicine in a timely manner If you care about your relative I advise never to put them at Brookdale They will be mistreated

My own mother has been a resident at Brookdale Yellowstone driveShe has been treated with the utmost respect and professionalismâ?? at all levels of service The Lvns are excellent and the head Lvn is spectacular

Upon the death of my mother, we moved & cleaned her apartmentKeys were turned into staff and we were told we would receive our refund for days left On 11/24/we moved my mother home as we could tell and Hospice agreed that she had little time left and Brookdale was not able to provide full care for herShe died on 11/@ 3am at our homeThe family went to Brookdale that morning and removed all her belongings, entirely cleaned the apartment and turned in her keys and monitorWe were told a refund would be sent for the days that were paid for the month (3) $ I have spoke repeatedly to the local office (Paso Robles - Creston Rd) regarding obtaining the refund since that time I have called the billing office as wellI have been told twice that the check would arrive "by the end of the week or Monday at the latest" No payment has been received but we continue to receive monthly billsThis is making a very stressful situation worse Moms name - [redacted]

My father was a resident at the retirement home My father is years old and is a WWII VeteranHe said the facility called the police on him and they roughed him up and cursed at him The facility called the ambulance on 11/28/on my father and he was sent to the ER without his coat and it was very cold outside He didn't have a change of clothes, his walker and his glasses and other necessities that he need on a daily basis He was sent to a rehab and they called me and told me my father didn't have any clothes I believe Brookdale is responsible for this Now Brookdale is trying to charge my father for the room that he is no longer living in Brookdale stated that they do not want my father back at their facilityI want to know why they are charging him

Inhumane & inadequate care of family member residing at Brookdale Sarasota Downtown, SOsprey Avenue, Sarasota, FL My now year old mother, [redacted] , began residency at Horizon Bay SOsprey Avenue, Sarasota, Florida in unit #412B now known as Brookdale Sarasota Downtown in July of On April 12, a portion of the closet shelving fell on my mother's head Staff did not call an ambulance for her nor did they contact me I am on her emergency call list I took my mother to Sarasota Memorial Hospital the following morning on April 13th at a.mto the Emergency Room She was diagnosed with a concussion as well as contusions on her head and shoulders and trunk of her body Staff refused to give my mother a report of the incident The plastic coated metal shelf was found to be missing bolts and screws as wellThe shelf was heavy and held stored personal belongings For staff to refuse to contact an ambulance upon being notified by my mother

My father and I was told that when he got ready to move to get his deposit back , was to give a day notice We were told that by ***! When I go in on Wed 1/11/I was told 1st that the check was in the mail, then told it was applied to first months rent, then told it was applied to the last month rentI pulled my papers today I paid a &deposit plus rent and a couple of days so he could move inThe room was clean no holes in the wall and I feel I should get my deposit backOh, then she told me that it would take days to get my deposit backWhy so long?

Very pleased with Brookdale Senior Living, Pleasant Hills, AR Not perfect, understaffed in housekeeping and it shows in the skimpy cleaning for each resident, I am expecting (hoping) that this will resolve as they hire more staff membersMaintains building, quick to respond to repair requestsStaff is respectful as should be the baseline for any senior care facilityAs family member is needing more care I am disappointed the assisted living is only Level oneI would recommend for person looking for senior independent living

My Mother never complains but she has now understandably soThis huge corporation appears to only care about money, not healt care or safetyThey had a billion dollar revenue in and Andrew S*** was reported to have made $6,608,in total compensation I pray some of those I've made aware of these neglectful and inhumane acts takes action to stop these facilities! A high probability of post traumatic stress disorder is possible to those who stay hereAll of you who have complaints, and those I've read, please write your congressmen and everyone who can stop the neglect and/or abuse! Let's stop them! I'm more than happy to forward the letter I mailed to anyone who requests itProtect our family, friends, strangers, PROTECT OUR ELDER!!!!!!!
