My name is Bob Leiber, a year old senior living at Creekside Oaks in FolsomMany months ago Brookdale Senior living in Folsom CA invited me to take a tour of their nursing home facilitiesI was told that I would receive a $gift card for taking the tourI have called them many times regarding this matter and they promise to send the gift card but, after many calls and promises they never send the cardI do not think Brookdale should be allowed to deceive and take advantage of SeniorsThank you for helping me with this matter

On September 4th, myself and my wife went to Brookdale Facility at Concord ParkwayWe spoke with Jataitj *** the billing manager and informed him that my other *** *** account #XXXXXXXX was going to another facility on September 6th, He asked me to give him a letter in writing which I didI asked if I needed to pay anything right now he stated no it would be prorated billI received a bill today for the total month for $which includes a late fee of $My mother left the facility on September 6th, and this bill is not a pro-rated billI moved my mother out of the facility because we were not pleased with the care and she wanted her own roomI had previously asked Heather how much a single room would be and she stated another $My mother is in another facility and I feel I should not have to p

My grandmother has been a resident of the Brookdale Wekiwa Springs location since During the course of her stay anytime I would call to find out about her wellbeing, I would get the runaround It seemed as if no one actually knew anything about herAlmost like a rehearsed scriptFast forward to two months ago when she was rushed to ICUThe nurse who called me from Brookdale (the only phone call I received from them in years) notified me that she seemed out of sorts They took her temperature and decided to call the ambulanceShe was admitted to the hospital with SEVERE dehydration causing many of her levels to go askewThe ICU doctor informed me that it appeared the dehydration was a result of a lack of water for what looked to be weeks! His disdain was apparentShe then spent the next month in a rehab facility getting wellGetting her levels checked and fixedAll in all, she has never been betterWhen I informed Brookdale of this, they did not acknowledge at allThey even continued to charge me for her rent of $3200/mnth even though she was not there and in the rehab AS A RESULT OF THERE ACTIONSPlease note, she is in a memory care unit and is unable to think or care for herself when it comes to sustenanceWhen I told Brookdale that she wouldn't be returning and asked if they would consider not charging me the months she wasn't there, they refusedGiven we paid them nearly $75,in total and her need for a nursing home was in direct correlation to her ICU stint that was caused by her not receiving water and/or proper care you would think they would comply They didn't and in fact, charged me for an additional month as they "require days notice of a resident leaving." As a reminder she hadn't been there in months! I realize they're a business, however, they often deal with people when they're in impossible situationsIt's awful and sad that they took advantage of my family at such a low point in our livesNot charging us for the time she wasn't actually being cared for there is the least they could have doneIt is beyond shameful

Personal Care Serv agreed to provide hour care visit for wife 3x/day at $23/hr They did not show up 2x, no one to callThen said $46/hr, 2hr min
I met with the Ratasha, Director of their Personal Care Services (2x) and Deana, schedular, and we agreed they would send an aide to the house 3x/day or 2x/day for a hr visit at $23/hr to provide personal care for my bedridden wife Caregiver did not show up pm the first day scheduled and no one to call Next day, we were told that management insisted on people, $46/hr and hr minimum per visit This changes a $per day services up to $per day This is unacceptable business practice They agreed to come out at PM the day that we were notified at noon of these changes, since it was too late to find another caregiver They did not show up a second time nor did they call, nor answer voice mail or text

In late December my Mother was ready to move to Brookdale in Lewisville, TexasLocal management is very caring and concerned about their residents and it appears to be a clean and well run facilityAs Mom was getting ready to move in she had a health set backWe had already paid the rent and $1,community feeSubsequently, Mom died in mid January and was never able to move inKim - the Executive Director - has gone above and beyond to try and get our refundShe has successfully gotten the rent refundedHowever, apparently the corporate office feels entitled to keep the community feeKim's attempts to get an appropriate response from corporate have gone unheededNot sure how the corporate office can justify keeping a $1,community when the individual dies before moving inNot sure what the $1,was used for other than a windfall for the corporationLocal management has been great but it appears the corporate office is either inept or greedy

They sent my father's account into collection due to a mistake they made
I moved my father, *** from Brookdale East in Charlotte, NC on November 10, to another Brookdale in TennesseeWhen I gave the director, Diane in Charlotte a day notice, she said they had to charge him another month as they needed daysWhen it was confirmed by the corporate office, Elizabeth B***, that a notice wasn't required because he was transferring, the director made it seem like it was her idea and that she was doing him a favorHe got settled into the new Brookdale, which is a lovely facilityThen Brookdale in Charlotte automatically deducted funds from his checking account in December for the month he wasn't thereI received a notice that his account was put into collection in the amount of $4,Upon investigation, it seemed the financial director, Franchesca D*** had made a mistake and had double refunded what they had deducted from his checking account for the funds

Brookdale Senior Living uses Bait and switch tacticsSay one thing and do another on many issues and are predatory in their billing practices
The sales lady said we could have a room for one price and after moving in said the price would be more or move to a smaller roomWithin days of moving in they said the level of care would have to be increased even though an evaluation was done just prior to moving inThe sales lady said the community entrance fee would be waved and later billed for it anywayProper notice was given that we were moving out they have continued to bill and at the higher rates that were never agreed toThe left hand does not know what the right hand is doingAt one point they said mistakes were made but it seems at our expense

Toured the senior living facility at Brookdale's invitation and promise of a $Visa debit reward cardStaff were extremely nice and tour was both informative and enjoyableThe debit card arrived as promised, but when I attempted to use it (twice before the expiration date) the transaction failed both timesAfter the card expired I was contacted by Brookdale *** and, at that time, informed them the card never workedThe woman gave a phone number and another number that confirmed our visitSince then I have attempted on numerous occasions to contact their headquartersI always get the operator and am transferred after explaining the reason for my callNOBODY every picks up on the extension I'm transferred to and, when the call finally goes to voicemail, NOBODY has ever returned the call

I cancelled my contract on November and I have been charged $and have never received a key
On October 29, 2016, I signed a contract to move into an apartment with a move in date contingent upon me going to closing on my home November 1, On October 31, 2016, I called *** and left a message that stated my closing date had changed I did not get a responseI then called several times the first week of NovemberI finally got in touch with *** and she stated that the manager and financial manager had to approve the request to move in Nov I called back a week later and the managers have not responded to my request I then sent a letter Nov 22, cancelling everything and requesting a refund of $because of lack of response and the undue stress that was caused from lack of responseMy daughter wrote two emails and I called several times with no response

My father was admitted to the ER times in a period of 3weeks right after he was moved in A social worker on the case did not allow him to return to Brookdale due to bed sores and severe weakness and dehydration My father has Parkinson disease, because they would not administer his medication on time he was bedridden for those weeks To make matters worse, they have continued to deduct his bank account after his abrupt leave in March with no authorization! I have an attorney looking into this claim, be very careful with your love ones, this happened at the Brookdale Senior living facility in Palmdale/Lancaster, CA

Significant Delay in Refunding Remaining Balance after moving out
I am the attorney-in-fact for my Mother My Mother departed Brookdale Echelon Lake in Voorhees, NJ on Oct It is now December and Brookdale Senior Living has yet to refund my Mom's balance that she paid for the last days in October I have called several times and each time I am told the payment is pending During my last call on December, I waited on hold for several minutes and then finally got a message that said to leave a message and they would return my call I have yet to hear back from anyone at Brookdale

My father was a resident at the retirement home
My father is years old and is a WWII VeteranHe said the facility called the police on him and they roughed him up and cursed at him The facility called the ambulance on 11/28/on my father and he was sent to the ER without his coat and it was very cold outside He didn't have a change of clothes, his walker and his glasses and other necessities that he need on a daily basis He was sent to a rehab and they called me and told me my father didn't have any clothes I believe Brookdale is responsible for this Now Brookdale is trying to charge my father for the room that he is no longer living in Brookdale stated that they do not want my father back at their facilityI want to know why they are charging him

On May I gave Brookdale a check to place my husband on a wait list for the facilityBrookdale cashed the checkMy husband had a seizure and was hospitalizedHe is unable to walk and was placed in a facility by the hospital that is able to address his needsI have written to Geri T*** of Brookdale on occasions since JulyEach time she apologizes and says she will see that a refund is sentShe has asked for my address even though each time I write I include the previous emails with all address details

After we moved my dad from a Brookdale facility, I received a statement with a credit balance of $2,dated March 29, I first contacted the corporate office on May 11, inquiring where the refund is I was told it would be sent days from March 15, I have made numerous calls as I have not received the refund The check was sent on May 26, to an incorrect address I was told on June 5, that I can complete an ACH form and the payment could be received in my bank account in 2-business days or they can put a stop payment and reissue the check and it would take 2-weeks I completed the ACH form on June and sent it via email It was received at Brookdale as I received confirmation June 5, I was told that the earliest the payment would be in the bank would be Monday June but the latest would be June 14, I was on the phone for approximately minutes this morning and I still do not have an answer as to if this refund has been proc

Brookdale Senior Living in Leesburg Fl, did not follow protocol, they kept me extra days with out getting authorization from ins
Brookdale Senior Living Rehab,Leesburg ,Fl without prior authorization retained me days over 1st that's allowed by insurance coverage and now are charging me the difference of

They were supposed to contact *** for the extra days for medically necessary at their request as per evidence of coverage optionI am years old and on a fixed income and feel that they as the professional operation should have known to make the request for the extra days over the allowed days
