Mr*** *** *** Rd *** ** *** Re : Revdex.com Complaint ID# *** United Consumer Financial Services Account No.: *** Dear Mr***: United Consumer Financial Services Company (UCFS) received your RevDex.com ComplaintThank you for brining this issue to our attention so we may properly assist you. UCFS financed the purchase of a consumer product made by you in On April 21, 2016, you signed a Retail Installment Sales Contract (the "Agreement") for the purchase of a consumer product, and the terms of the contract were verified with you on the same dayOn April 28, 2016, UCFS sent you an acknowledgment letter confirming your new purchase and the terms of the Agreement; this acknowledgement letter included verification that you agreed to make your monthly payments via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Your first EFT monthly payment posted to your account on June 11, When we spoke to you on June 13, 2016, you stated that your monthly payments were to come out on the 15th of each month and, when the payment was taken sooner than you thought, this caused an overdraft on your bank accountOn June 14, 2016, we reminded you that the Agreement included a first payment due date of June 11, and that this was verified with you at the time of saleYou then requested the due date to be changed to the 15th of each month; we honored that request. On June 20, 2016, your financial institution informed UCFS that a stop payment was placed on the June 11, paymentA letter was sent to you on June 21, informing you of thisPlease be advised that once UCFS initiates an EFT transaction with your bank, your bank will dateline how many times it attempts to fund the EFT transactionThis issue you should address directly with your bank. You also express concern about a neighbor negotiating a lower price than you for the purchase of a similar product, and that you were unaware of the cancellation provision in the AgreementPlease keep in mind the price a consumer ultimately pays for their product is a matter of negotiation and agreement between the seller and the consumer; UCFS has no bearing on the purchase price of the consumer product. Your cancellation provision is printed on the front of your AgreementAs stated in the signature block of your Agreement, you acknowledged that you had ready the cancellation provision when you signed the AgreementPlease contact our office to set up payment arrangements as you are now due for June and July's monthly installment payments totaling $If you need further assistance, you may contact me at 1-800-344-5000, extension Sincerely, Cheryl B*** I Operations Auditor

You purchased a pet from an independent pet store that does business with UCFSOn October 2, 2014, you signed a retail installment contract (the "Agreement") for the purchase of a petThe amount financed as part of that transaction was $1,Under the terms of the Agreement, you are obligated to make payments of $47.24; the Agreement also includes a 90-days same-as-cash option whereby you could avoid any finance charge by paying your account in full within days from the first payment due date, which was November 2, Assuming the same-as-cash option was not exercised and you made all payments as scheduled, the total amount you will have paid over the life of your account with UCFS is $1,700.64. In your Complaint, you state that we show that you borrowed a larger amount than what you believe you borrowedPlease keep in mind that your obligation includes precomputed finance charges of $that make up part of the balance on your accountShould you pay your account in full early, we will calculate the refund owed to youI hope this clears up any confusion caused by us. ***I thank you for the opportunity to respond to your Complaint; a copy of this letter will be sent to the Revdex.com. In your Complaint, you indicate you are unsure how your name became associated with your and your husband's account with UCFSYou also indicate the price of the unit purchased by you and your husband was too high. According to UCFS's records, you and your husband signed a contract to purchase a Kirby Cleaning System on October 14, As per the terms of the agreement, you and your husband agreed to finance $2,towards the purchase and pay a total of $2,This price was the price negotiated with the sales person who sold you your Kirby unit. On or about April 24, 2014, you called UCFS to see about partial payments towards the amount outstanding on your accountA UCFS representative informed you that, while you could make partial payments, partial payments would not constitute satisfactory payments on the account, and, as a result, the account would continue to accrue late fees and UCFS would credit report the account as past dueIn order to avoid late fees and to keep the account current, you must pay the contractually-agreed monthly payment. I remain available to address any questions you haveShould you desire the current payoff balance on your account, please contact our office Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm Eastern at ***Thank you for your time. To discuss a payment arrangement with UCFS that would better align with my current financial situation does not help the fact that I cannot afford to pay for the vacuum at all*** Independent distributors are apparently trained to use pressure tactics and ignore perspective clients when they tell the sales reps that they cannot afford to purchase the vacuumThe *** sales reps will stay inside homes talking and pressuring individuals for hours to buy the vacuumThe mindemonstration lasted from 8:pm until 11:pm whereby I "gave in" (although I knew I could not afford it and told the rep (Ramos) several times) just to get them out of my apartment so I could go to bedI was told by Ramos that I had days to cancel but I found out it was daysIs United Consumer Financial Services aware of the pressure tactics that *** is using to sell and finance the vacuums or or they a part of the scheme? I have had a fractured right wrist, carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in my right hand that makes it hard for me to to remove the power nozzle, to lift and use the lbs vacuum*** Company states that a person has up to months to rescind and cancel the purchase agreement if they are at least yrs old and/or has a disability that prevents or restricts them from using the *** vacuum system. I do not want or need a vacuum this heavy that I cannot use or afford

When the salesman came to the house I told him that I did not want my name on there because I had to much on my credit to begin withHe asked me to sign it because at the time I was the homeownerHe told my husband that my name would not be associated with it at all because I didn't want it and when I contacted the office for him to come and get because I figured he lied I got the run around behind it until the time to cancel was upThen when I called United Consumer the Supervisor was nasty and that's not good customer serviceThe fact that this business condone salesman gouging people is not a good practice, the fact that people loose their jobs and become unable to pay and you want to ruin their credit people should know about it! This company is a rip off!

The Revdex.com asked United Consumer Financial Services Company (UCFS) to provide the Revdex.com with a sales slip or invoice created by the independent merchant from which Mr*** purchased his consumer product.UCFS learned that the independent merchant is no longer in business; UCFS was unsuccessful in attempting to contact the independent merchant UCFS reiterates that any agreement between Mr*** and the independent merchant would be evidenced on the face of the agreement What is more: we verified the terms of the agreement with Mr*** At that time, Mr*** confirmed that he understood the terms of the agreement, that he was satisfied with the sales presentation, and that all items required to be delivered under the agreement were in Mr*** possession.Unfortunately, based on the foregoing, we cannot conclude that Mr*** was not provided items to which he was entitled under the agreement. It is worth noting that UCFS made several attempts to contact Mr*** when his account became delinquent when his first payment was missed UCFS learned of Mr*** concerns through the filing of his Revdex.com Complaint; UCFS has no record in Mr*** account of any concerns regarding the purchased product or of a failure by the independent merchant to provide an item purchased under the agreement

UNITED CONSUMER FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** RE: Revdex.com Complaint No***Dear *** ***: This letter is in response to the Complaint you filed with the Revdex.comThank you for allowing
United Consumer Financial Services Company ("UCFS") to address your concerns. In your Complaint, you state that the dealer who sold you your consumer product stated that you had three free months to use the product before payments would beginAs you know, you signed a retail installment contract on June 3, for the purchase of your consumer productAs part of that contract, you agreed to pay $per month beginning on September 4, The terms of the contract you signed were set up as a three-month deferred paymentAs such, your first payment under the contract was not due until three months after you signed the contractIt seems that you confused this three-month deferred payment period with the cancellation period. By the terms of the contract you signed, you had three (3) days to cancel the agreementBecause you signed the contract on June 3, 2015, you had until midnight of June 6, to cancel the agreementYou first notified UCFS that you wanted to cancel the agreement on October 5, Unfortunately, the time within which you could cancel the agreement had past, and UCFS cannot honor your desire to cancel your agreement. UCFS verified the terms of the agreement with you on June 17, The lone payment you made on your account was made on December 8, 2015; at that time, you sent in three, one-dollar billsNo other payments were made on this account. If you have additional questions for me, please reach out to me directly by phone at *** or by email at ***. Sincerely, Timothy ** S*** Director of Compliance
