I was contacted by a local Dyson retailer/repair shop (Dyson corporation NEVER indicated there was a local retailer to assist me) and they offered for us to pick up the machineAt my own inconvenience, I am in possession of this machine ALSO, Dyson does not post all reviews regarding their equipmentI attempted to submit a factual review (per my experience) of their product/customer service experience and I was told that they monitor all reviews and post, if appropriateThis is not a fair nor honest business practice! I am thoroughly disappointed with Dyson as a corporation

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Dyson provided the same basic original response I separately provided negative feedback to a customer service feedback e-mail I received from Dyson and I pasted below the response I received Bottom line...this product is flawed that it has metal by the handle and I can get shocked performing the fundamental job of the vacuum (vacuuming carpet) and I want a refund or a complementary upgrade to the new model that doesn't have the issue My child would also like to use the vacuum and I'm not going to take a chance that he'll get shocked Using a dryer sheet (as suggested below) to ensure he won't get shocked is not a guaranteed and permanent fix"Dyson's handheld/cord-free vacuums do not carry enough voltage power to create an electric shockIf you are noticing a shock while being used with a certain tool and when vacuuming a certain area such as certain couch, rug etc, this is an indication of static electricity being created with that surfaceThis can be caused by the machine going back and forth across the surface in which is being vacuumed A static charge can build up on the product when particles in the air stream move relative to the stationary parts of the machineThe level of the static charge can depend on several different factors including but not limited to the type of material being vacuumed, to how dry the atmosphere isIn addition, very dry atmospheres and fine dust can make the size of the discharge more apparent We would suggest taking a dryer sheet and wiping down the cleaner head and the outside of the machineDryer sheets will help to dissipate any static electricity buildup as the machine is being used." This customer is covered by the Dyson year warranty which covers manufacturing defects parts and laborIn accordance with the warranty we will repair and or replace a defective partWe provide replacement machines when the product is deemed unrepairable by a Dyson TechnicianIn order to assess the vacuum, and determine the nature of her reported issue, it must be inspected by a technician at a Dyson Service CenterBased on the address in our records, this customer lives a short distance from our Long Island NY repair facility

We made several attempts to contact the customer by phone to offer a resolutionWe received no answer on 7/27, 08/and 08/I sent him an email providing my information in hopes of speaking with him

We've reached out to the customer and advised them they can pick up their unit - Dyson has covered the charge for cleaning
