Good afternoon I'm writing to see if you can help me out. I haven‘t received no check nor has the finance company. I tried contacting dealer and left messages with no call back. It seems
they have no interest in refunding the money that was paid back to them. Thanks for" your help [redacted]

General Manager will be reaching out to customer.

I have been working on refunding the money to the customer. It is not an easy process and takes some time he should be seeing his refund hit the balance of his loan in the upcoming week.

Response: Edison Nissan did send a check out to this customer. A copy of the check can be provided.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:first, I waited for someone to call but no one called, also in the past, and since the issue started they kept promising to resolve the...

issue by sending me a check and never happened ..thats why i'm filed this complaint ..they are simply liars.

Mr. [redacted] is working directly with the General Manager to resolve his issues.

I saw a used Toyota Yaris listed on their website for $6,495 and contacted them. They contacted me back via e-mail, the e-mail repeated the price of $6,495, so I made plans to go take a test drive. About a week later, I saw on their website that the car had been reduced to $5,550.
I arranged to take a day off from work and went out to take a test drive. The car was good, with a few minor issues. I told the salesman that I would likely pay most of the price in cash but would finance a small portion of it.
When I went in to discuss the car, the manager came out and told me that the dealership had already sold the car to another dealer for $10,000. He was willing to sell the car to me for $10,000.
First, the claim that they had already sold the car made no sense. If they'd sold the car (for nearly double the asking price?) they wouldn't be letting me test drive it. Secondly, the practice is illegal and is a classic Bait-and-switch. The manager went on to tell me that the online price included a $2,000 discount for repeat customers who had bought from them in the last year. Not only is this deceptive, it still doesn't explain the price tag since $5,500 + $2,000 does not equal $10,000. I strongly suspect that they had been hoping for a buyer who would finance the car and that they would make additional money by giving bad financing terms. When they found out I planned to pay most of the price in cash, they decided to mark up the price (to nearly double the asking price!) to get me out the door.
This dealer should not have an A+ rating. They should be investigated and guilty parties for their scam arrested. Bait-and-switch is an illegal practice.
